I ######### love Ice Nine, some friends saw them last year. Mega jealouse aha.
I've seen them three times now! Always an awesome show lol

I love The Dead Rabbits!! In the name of horror-themed music I absolutely have to choose something by Ice Nine Kills... Stabbing In The Dark is my pick:
https://youtu.be/Sl8sLGoRaX0 -
I'd like if the hatch took time to open or gave off a noise notification to all players if it's being opened with a key. Like, not a lot of time to open, but enough to allow the killer a chance to act on it instead of suddenly having people escape the trial from under them. It'd help solos who don't know the other three in their lobby are leaving as well. Just my thoughts

@Dabihwow Alright, here's my revised version of my concept for Jack.
Base Movement Speed: 115%
Terror Radius: 32 Meters
Height: Tall
The Patriarch’s power is called Family of a Thousand sins.
Passives: The Patriarch will always break pallets, walls, and generators 15% faster.
Special Attack: Welcome To The Family
The Patriarch will lunge forward at high speeds. Successfully hitting a survivor will cause The Patriarch to impale and and lift them high into the air. The survivor will be faced with three difficult skill checks.
- Failing no skill checks will apply the Hunted status effect.
- Failing one skill check will apply the Hunted status effect and the Hindered status affect for 30 seconds.
- Failing two skill checks will apply the Hunted status effect and injure the survivor.
- Failing three skill checks will apply the Hunted status effect and put the survivor into the dying state.
The Hunted status effect will reveal the survivor with Killer Instinct for 10 seconds and cause the Oblivious and exposed status effects for 45 seconds. The Hunted effect is triggered when a survivor repairs a generator, heals another survivor, sabotages a hook, cleanses a totem, or unlocks a chest and it cannot be removed until one of those actions is performed. Only one survivor can be Hunted at a time.
Special ability: Diabolical Device
After three generators become powered or you close the hatch, the Doomsaw will spawn close nearby and it’s aura will be revealed in white. Once activated The Patriarch will lose Welcome To The Family and will gain access to Frenzied Sprint.
Frenzied Sprint: The Patriarch will rev the Doomsaw for 2 seconds, before rushing forward at extremely high speeds. Once a rev is started, it cannot be cancelled. Any survivor that is hit while sprinting will be put into the dying state. Colliding with any object will stun the Patriarch for 3 seconds.
Frenzied Rage: Pressing the Attack Button while revving The Doomsaw will activate Frenzied Rage. During Frenzied Rage The Patriarch will swing The Doomsaw widely back and forth downing any survivor in its path. Colliding with any obstacles or failing to hit any survivors will stun The Patriarch for 4 seconds.
While Holding The Doomsaw:
- The Patriarch’s base movement speed will be decreased to 110%.
- All basic attacks will instantly put the survivors into the dying state.
At any time, The Patriarch may call on The Entity to reset the Doomsaw back to its original position. The Patriarch will regain access to Welcome To The Family. The Patriarch will have to reactivate the Doomsaw if he wishes to use it again.
“My little girl has given us a gift, and this gift is with me always. As you can see, the family is only a part of her gift. Which-in a word means, you’re #########!” - Jack Baker
The Patriarch comes with three teachable perks:
Hex: Tamperer: You enjoy toying with your victims, and forcing them to play your games. So long as this hex remains uncleansed, whenever a generator is repaired, all other generators become blocked for 30/45/60 seconds. Any survivor currently repairing a generator will be forced off of it.
“Hahaha-oo-ee! Hell of a game, right? - Lucas Baker
Corpse House: You’ve seen things, you know their weakness. When a survivor unhooks another survivor, if they are healthy, they suffer from the Exhausted status effect for 45 seconds. If they are injured, they suffer from the broken status effect for 60 seconds.
“Let’s see you scamper your way out of this!”- Marguerite Baker
Mortal Morality: You know your prey can’t keep playing the hero game forever. When a survivor unhooks or takes a protection hit, their repair speed is decreased by 10/15/20% for 45 seconds.
“You can’t keep doin’ this forever.” - Jack Baker
Give me this chapter right now.

One of my coworkers claims he lost his smell for two months. I don't remember when he said taste came back, but it was before smell

Marketplace trading: place your items, add-ons, or offerings up for trade with people on your friends list. They can take a look at everything up for trade and make offers in the form of bp's, other items, add-ons, or offerings. Set your own deadline for how long the trade offer will stay up and if no trade is made within that time frame, whatever you put up for trade gets refunded for x amount of bp's
Something like this would be pretty fun I think

Give him a pec flex animation instead of pointing

It's a good change for sure. Nothing like being pulled off the hook by a teammate with BT who didn't understand the terror radius effect on it 🤦♂️

Hello birb

Can't rule it out, but I'd be surprised if it got to the same level as dbd. Realistically, I don't know much about HSHS but from what I've gathered, it's pretty much just a different dbd. Of course it's probably got different mechanics and objectives, but all in all dbd has a 5(?) year headstart and many licenses already in place that continue to attract new players. If I was looking at both of these games without having played either of them, based on gameplay videos and characters included, I'd hands down pick dbd - of course, that's just me but I think a lot of people would agree.
If HSHS puts up solid competition against dbd (and I desperately hope it does despite my doubts that it will) I believe it'll be more from people seeking an alternative to dbd than new players rushing in to try HSHS
Edit: wow, I got carried away and didn't even answer the question... I could see them going for licensed killers once they become established, but not before. Licenses seem more likely to be included in already established products or new, unique products - to me, HSHS is neither of those quite yet
-
Not an internet mystery, but I got into reading about Lizzie Borden and that whole murder mystery after one of my cousins found out that we're distantly related to her (she does all kinds of ancestry research, it's pretty interesting what she finds sometimes)
-
Currently playing the Resident Evil 2 remake. Gonna try to get through that, RE3 remake, and RE7 before RE8 comes out next month. That's a lot to handle considering I don't really play that much usually but I loved #7 (That's where I started in the RE series), am loving #2, and am super excited for #8. After #8 I might buy some of the originals to catch up on whatever else I may have missed so far
-
"I'd say a majority of killers I've gone against at red ranks either camp the hook or they walk away for a bit until a hook save and go right back and tunnel the same survivor, down said survivor, and then immediately pick that survivor up and hook again."
New DS will still prevent this scenario. That being said, I wouldn't mind if DS worked for both hook states to really deter tunneling
-
I've noticed more boosted survivors than anything lately. I'll be thinking something like "Meg! That gens regressing right next to you, I'm on a hook ten feet away, why are you self-caring in the corner!?" And just chalk it up to them being a new player. Get out of the match and they're a better rank than me 🤦♂️
-
New stun bug: it sucks, hopefully it gets fixed soon
Tunneling/camping: I've never seen this happen as much as other people claim to see it. Still not really an issue for me right now most games
I used to escape probably around 50% of my matches, probably down to 35-40% now. My main complaint there is it's usually one or two teammates not being productive that gets us killed more than it is the killer truly beating us (I usually play solo)
More rude? No
Slugging builds? I think I've only seen one in the past couple of months on a nurse, so no
I've never actually used DS so I can't really speak on that
-
I'd love it, but wouldn't expect to win practically ever as survivor. I think stealth would absolutely become the best way to play survivor in first person, and the game might actually become a little bit scary. I'm all for it despite knowing it would topple survivor gameplay lol
-
Risks here and there. With four chapters released per year and already having so many characters available, I think they can afford to take a risk on one or two of them at this point, just probably not two in a row in case they flop
-
But that's probably the type of reaction the killer wanted anyway

The Mountaineer
The Mountaineer has a chilling effect that affects survivors over time with his abilities, slowing and posing threats if they do not keep working and staying active.
Chilly (Freezing level 1)
- Survivors breath more audibly
Cold (Freezing level 2)
- Survivors breath much louder
- breath is visible (can be seen if they are in lockers)
- Performing slow actions are 25% slower
Freezing (Freezing level 3)
- Survivors breath much louder and breath is visible (same as level 2)
- Survivors now have cold fog surrounding their feet, which has a small trail, sort of like torment, but lingers a little longer helping with tracking
- Survivors crouching and walking speed 5% slower, running unaffected
Frostbite (Freezing level 4 MAX)
- Same effects as level 3
- Survivors will bMountain Chill:
- ecome injured if you walk, crouch, or stand still for longer than 6 seconds (Running For 3 seconds will reset this, and healing or working gonna gen will not count this, but won't reset timer, simply pause it)
- Gen and healing speeds are reduced by 15%
In order to clear up your freezing, there are small bundles of fire, Warming Fires, around the map, similar to plague, which has a cleanse action. Takes 30 seconds to fully cleanse and warm yourself. You don't have to fully finish, the 30 seconds is simply from frostbite to 0 cold, you can decide to do it for less, but still keep some of your freezing.
Special Ability: Slippery Path
Press and hold the Power button to charge up and release an attack forward on the ground in front of The Mountaineer. This attack will freeze the ground, making it a shiny light blue ice. Survivors walking on the path will slowly rise in the amount of Freezing, and also slide, making corners and tight turns much harder to run, and the character has way less control. This path stays on the ground for 6 seconds. Staying on the path for a total of 12 seconds will increase their level of Freezing. This attack is 8 meters long, and 4 meters across. Can only have 1 path active at once. Charge takes .3 seconds before release
Passive Ability: Painful Winds
Every 30 seconds, the winds of the dark blizzard move onto the map. This blizzard lasts 40 seconds and once it ends, the timer before it comes again begins. This blizzard covers the entire map, making it look snowy and white like the Nightmare's vision but for everyone. Inside of the blizzard, the survivors will slowly gain Freeze, gaining 2 levels of Freeze, and they also have reduced vision, only being able to see 16 meters ahead of them. This blizzard will also lower The Mountaineer's terror radius down to 28 meters, from 36 meters. Survivors standing within 6 meters of Warming Fires will not gain Freeze.
This is my idea, I have a whole document with lore and perks as well
This might be my favorite idea yet
-
One time I was up against an AFK wraith. Teammates rushed to get out but I had a totem challenge to do. I kept looking for totems and chests after the gates were open and quite literally lost track of how much time I had to work with and died from the timer running out. Pretty sure I got four totems that game and a few chests at least lol
-
Okay at first I was with everyone else in saying this isn't possible, but after thinking a bit, it actually IS possible:
A gets hooked, saved by B, now B has deliverance. A gets hooked again, C gets deliverance. EGC hits, B or C gets hooked, uses deliverance. That same person gets hooked AGAIN, saved by D and now D has deliverance. OP didn't say they all used it at the same time or in any order
-
Probably just a bunch of stupid stuff mid chase
"Get back here Dwight, I'm gonna shove this chainsaw so far up your- *voice becomes inaudible due to noise of the saw revving*"

They're top tier for sure, but they still can't compare to the king of fruits, The Watermelon. It's the only thing I like about summer, otherwise, where I live, the miserable summer would be even more miserable without watermelon.
Frozen Blueberries and Frozen Dark Cherries are delicious too! I recommend you just buy the frozen bags from Walmart, they pick them at peak ripeness so they will taste better than buying fresh and freezing them yourself.
Oooooh yeah, watermelon is king for sure
-
Personally I want a first person survivor mode. That could potentially make this game actually scary, and I understand that's not entirely the point of dbd but I just can't imagine how much fun that would be

Wow that was 5 gens in 4 minutes. I feel bad for that dude. That bush juke was hilarious though because it actually worked but he ended up getting you anyways lol.
Yeah those gens went fast. That usually doesn't happen when I play solo lol but I like those longer, drawn out matches more, it's too comfortable when stuff gets done so fast

Recorded this immediately after reading the post lol. Conveniently, the game crashes for the first time in months at the end when the recording stops... So yeah, that's all I got lol

Your comment about Meg made me nearly choke on a chunk of mango. I just died in a match due to the inactivity of a Meg.
Wait can we take a second to appreciate how good mangos are? Top tier fruit for sure

I HATE THIS SO MUCH. When the killer gives a free escape to the teammate that deserved to die first.
Yuuuup. I don't really dwell on things like that, but it always seems to happen in matches where we would've had a decent chance with just one more person working on gens
-
Yep. Had a David sitting in the basement all game, going in and out of lockers and doing absolutely nothing for the team. I usually spectate anyway just to see what happens but I was kinda hoping he would die. Turns out he found a key and killer carried him to the hatch instead lol
-
New objectives/different options for escaping. That's the only thing I think FT13 really had over dbd. I can't play more than a few matches anymore before I get bored of just working on gens over and over and over and over... Or defending said gens if I play the other side
-
I'm late to the party but this was fun. Or maybe I'm just so tired that anything is fun right now, i dunno.
Either way, thank you all for letting this exist (:

There are many I could choose, but Wrong Turn is one that's just so nostalgic for me. The whole series is just so weird. The first couple movies are pretty subpar, then the rest of them are just awful, and I love them for it... I'd definitely consider it my guilty pleasure of horror movies lol.
Haven't seen the new one yet though, hopefully it's good!
-
Ice Nine Kills' The Silver Scream album fits the mood pretty well. Each song is inspired by a horror/Gothic movie, so it's always fun listening to a song about Freddy and then being sad that you loaded into a match against him lol
-
With all the big names dbd has, I think it'll take a pretty amazing game to put up some real competition. Dbd has it's problems, but it also has quite a few iconic characters that no other games have that really get people interested. On top of that, some of their original killers (please note: I said "some"... Lol) are just as, if not more, interesting than slashers/villains/killers in other games or even movies. Home Sweet Home Survive just isn't that game if you ask me. It'll take a whole lot more than just being a 4v1 survivor vs. killer game to even begin truly competing with dbd.
That being said, I desperately hope dbd gains some true competition sometime soon

Same.
I like to look away from the fashlights to pretend that I don't have Lightborn to better bait them in.
Works better if you play as Demogorgon or Pyramid Head because if you try to pretend that you don't have Lightborn, you can still break the pallet and the survivor will just chalk up their failed blind to "well, I don't excatly know where his head/eyes are at" and still bait them in later.
True. It's kind of amazing how long people will try to blind you and not catch onto the fact that you have lightborn if you make even the slightest attempt at pretending you don't have it lol
-
BillyWonka
I don't remember what I was playing or why this was so funny, but it just stuck and still makes me laugh to this day
-
I love running lightborn and agitation when I see 2+ flashlights in a lobby. Bait the flashlight save and chase them with agitation - lightborn will give you their aura for like 10 seconds or something, so it's easy to keep track of them, even if you get a quick hook first
-
It's happened to me a few times as well. Once right in front of a Jake about to save me... I felt so bad, it looked like I intentionally killed myself right in front of him after he ran across the map to save me
-
I don't mind it. I generally do totems whenever I see them, but if I don't I keep a mental note of where I saw one and go back and check it when the last gen pops. Doing that has stopped NOED from killing us all more than a few times. Sometimes I'll cleanse every totem in a match while doing totem challenges, it's not impossible to do.
I also like that it encourages me to bring maps or different perks instead of my usual. That just adds diversity to the insanely repetitive nature of this game which is desperately needed in my opinion.

Yea that is why i get hard tunnel today most of my matches, killers know it is useless perk now lol
If you're getting "hard tunneled" then literally just don't deactivate your perk right away... If it really is a "hard tunnel" they'll be back on you pretty quick so it's not like you're wasting much time - in fact, you'll be wasting the killers time
-
Totally forgot what day it was... Sad thing is, I actually believed you were serious at first because it's not far off from the sh*t people whine about on here 😂
-
When you see flashlights, try going with Lightborn and Agitation. People can't resist going for flashlight saves, and most of the time won't even catch onto the fact you have Lightborn if you act like you don't have it. Nothing is more satisfying than running someone down with Agitation while carrying someone else lol
-
I agree entirely. Between working anywhere from 50-65 hours a week, having pets to take care of, and stuff needing to get done around my place, I just don't have the patience, motivation, or desire to grind it out like I used to. The grind is a major part of what's making me play probably less than ten matches a week now. I miss loving DBD the way I used to but every time I really try to reinvest myself into it, I burn out pretty fast
-
Yeah, I have to pause and make sure the prompt says heal before I start. So I might look like I'm just walking on top of you for a second but I'm just making sure I don't vault the window you're next to or drop the pallet you're under lol
-
I feel like his power could maybe be fun once in a while, but the look definitely doesn't do it for me lol. It just looks like they tried too hard to be simple, but somewhat flashy... Too simple to be an exciting type of flashy, and too flashy to be a creepy type of simple in my opinion. That being said, I don't expect to like every chapter that comes out so I'm fine with it overall. Happy for those who like it, just not quite a fan myself so far

By that logic, people would already do that to counter slugging the entire team. Just designate one person to stealth and eventually pick everyone back up. But it doesn't happen. It's almost like relying on one teammate to not get chased isn't possible in this game with the variety of Killers and Perks that can help with tracking. Not to mention the massive disadvantage of having teammate that can't do gens or hook saves (because those actions would risk the Killer finding them).
Lol I'm gonna have to heavily disagree... People don't hide to avoid 4 slugs, they pick someone up while the killer is after someone else because it's more efficient than waiting for the next person to drop. It isn't all that hard to play stealthy, it's just less efficient.
Having one person unable to work on gens or really do anything that could lead to the killer finding them isn't at all a disadvantage in this situation considering the trade off is immortality for anyone running this perk. Plus it doesn't even have to be a stealthy survivor, they could just be a god at looping, or someone could be ready with a flashlight save at all times.
Being slugged with the threat of bleeding out and being slugged with immortality as long as one person doesn't get hooked are two entirely different things. Imagine if you've got four immortal slugs, nobody has any way to get back up. Killer decides to let you all just crawl around forever because at least one person hasn't been hooked yet. I really don't think that's what anyone wants for this game.
I'm just saying I think we could come up with much better ways to counter tunneling than this. A new survivor meta with this would more than likely result in a drastic decline in killers and much longer queues for survivors... Nobody wants that.
-
I'm sorry, that's just a straight up terrible idea. The whole team could run it and designate one person to stealth the whole game so nobody can be killed...
