  • I'm right there with you. The issues on console, the monotonous repetition of this game, and people spewing hate toward you if you dare beat them... I've been spending more time reading on the forums than I've been spending in the actual game.

I've got a bunch of single player games lined up to just chill out and take some time to decide if I even want to continue playing dbd

    Yes.

  • "We thank you for your patience as we worked tirelessly to fix this issue during our anniversary event! Here's 500k bloodpoints for your troubles!"

    -bhvr, in a few weeks

  • I'm seriously so disappointed in how much money I've put into this game. These bugs after bugs after bugs are getting really f*cking annoying. I've cut them a little slack every other time but throwing us a few hundred thousand bloodpoints and saying "thank you for your patience!" whenever they have issues won't hold us over forever.

They're not getting any more money from me until they prove they can release three chapters in a row without causing so many issues. Sooo, in other words, I'm not really expecting to put any more money into this game lol

  • If by shock value you mean jumpscares, I'd definitely go with Ghostface. One of my favorite moments:

  • It's ridiculous. I've played something like four matches since the chapter released and crashed in two of them. The ones I didn't crash, I was lagging like crazy and couldn't be near other players without lag every couple seconds. I'd like to play for the event, but I'm just not going to deal with this lag

I really dug that movie. How do you think the game would handle killers fighting eachother? They couldnt protect their survivor if they didnt

Honestly I think that's one of the big things that would prevent that game mode from existing. I really don't think dbd could handle killers trying to fight each other lol. I brought it up more because I thought it was a really cool concept

  • Not entirely sure how well it would work, but there's a movie called The Furies that I watched earlier today. Basically, 8 women and 8 men are captured and forced to compete in a killing game. The men are forced into this game as killers, the women we'll simply refer to as survivors.

Each killer is assigned their own survivor that they need to keep alive in order to win the game; if their assigned survivor is killed, their head explodes (movie didn't show exactly how this happens, just that it does happen). The idea is that the killers have to hunt down survivors while protecting their assigned survivor if they find them; once they kill a different survivor, they eliminate whichever killer was assigned to that survivor.

Seems kind of complicated, but it's a fun idea in my opinion. I don't really think it'd work in dbd but I'd definitely be down to give it a try

Well I do agree with the OP but not for the same reason. I feel like they're just mean to use them on survivors. Before though they were a big problem in that many matches would be over in no time and survivors would get very little points. Now I just see them as a very mean thing to do to survivors that causes unnecessary anger at the end of matches. Its probably faster for you to hook them anyway so why would you want to make them even more mad by using a mori on them (besides trying to do a challenge which wouldn't even be there if they weren't in the game).

You get mad when you get mori'd? Lol I like it. It's something different for once

Her screams are a little obnoxious, but they do sound good. Also,

This video kills me every time

  • Yeah I've been spending more time in the forums than I have in the game. The few matches I've played so far for this "event" I couldn't even be near other players without stopping in place every three seconds. And god forbid I do any sort of action, the game might crash if I do ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I think this is finally what'll push me away from this game for good if they can't release one of the next few chapters without bugs for once.

  • I always enjoyed lightborn/agitation on Myers when I see flashlights in the lobby. People come in for a flashlight save while I'm in T3 and go down instead

  • I DC'd against spirit a couple times last week due to lag. She'd start phasing and my game would freeze ๐Ÿ˜’

So, as believable as it is that people would DC against her while the penalty is off it might not always be intentional

  • Honestly, if it's on console I'm already in. Dbd has way too many issues

  • I never hold W. There is no W on my Xbox controller - only W's in endgame ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    jk i lose a lot

  • I'd love that. Behind the Mask is such an entertaining movie and Leslie's character looks like he'd fit right into DBD for sure

  • Successfully enjoying a match. Been losing a lot lately :/

  • I don't even mind getting hit by NOED when I play survivor. Sure, it kinda sucks, but I like the unease after the last gen pops and I'm not sure if I'm safe to take a hit.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I want to feel a bit of anxiety when I play survivor; yet, it's more relaxing than playing killer most of the time

  • I think it'd be awesome! I've had a dream for a few years now to one day own a small island on a lake and run a haunted house on it. Have a property on shore and have designated guides row a boat with guests out to the island, maybe some actors jumping out of the water, etc... Islands are great for horror because without a boat you can't just leave. I imagine an island map on dbd where each exit gate leads to a dock with a boat like you said and maybe a fence around the island or allow players to run in shallow water on a beach and the entity drags them under if they go too deep and they respawn somewhere on the map or something. Could be really interesting.

  • But actually, let's get a damn castle in the game pls

  • From a business standpoint alone, BHVR would undoubtedly make Jason the stronger, more exciting killer. Trapper is free to play, and if he's better than their version of Jason then pretty much the only people Jason would attract in this game are those who are already fans of Ft13 (which realistically would be a huge number anyway). For those who don't care so much for Ft13, they'll more likely be happy to just play Trapper which doesn't make as much money for BHVR.

But, this is all assuming that the two would be comparable in the realm of dbd; personally, I think the trapper resembles baby face from The Hills Run Red moreso than he does Jason.

  • No way. I'll play with friends if they wanna play, but even still I play survivor solo probably 95% of the time. I don't wanna be forced to play killer just because my friends aren't on

  • The grind doesn't discourage me from buying chapters, it discourages me from putting more time into the game. It just doesn't feel very rewarding to me for the amount of time it takes

  • Imagine being stuck in a hallway between both Mr. X and Nemesis... Oof.

  • 20210601_091418.jpg 20210601_091445.jpg 20210601_091459.jpg

These are what I use for these three. I also use classic ghostface and the leather jacket pig with the little drill thing (the sound it makes when you swing is way too satisfying lol)

  • And to add to the issue is that you can't even communicate with players from other platforms, so there's no way to even gain that proof. I see either a lot of people getting banned on baseless reports or people getting away with targeting people for the charm because they simply can't get proof.

It's sad because I'm happy that the LGBT+ portion of the community gets this charm, but I also feel like it will be misused by those who just want to troll and offer a new route for toxicity toward people of that community...

  • I'm not really sure what they are, but I think it'd be interesting if they appeared the same as a hex totem; are you cleansing Devour Hope or your own teammates perk? Good luck ;)

  • Agreed. I have to be specifically in the mood for killer (which is fairly often), but even solo survivor I have no problem picking up and relaxing through some matches

  • The fact that they could tell us the worrisome bit that they did yet can't give us any more assuring info makes me think I should save my money on this chapter just in case... Might not play dbd for a while once it's implemented just to see what happens with it first. That is, unless they can communicate with their community and give us a reason to believe their system won't flop like similar ones have in other games

  • "Every match"? I swear I'm playing a different game than everyone who complains about camping and tunneling on here. It's not every match, and it's not even ruining the matches it does happen in. If you've played even a moderate amount of killer you'd gain some insight as to why it's the best option at times and hopefully understand why it happens to you at times, or you'd realize you're being accused of it because you kicked a gen or broke a pallet before leaving the hook and someone else decided to run right in front of you for an unsafe unhook.

  • I was running from trapper in a warehouse but never actually saw him, I just knew it was him because of dream logic I guess lol. That was how I knew I was playing too much dbd at the time...

  • Immortals: Fenyx Rising was a breath of fresh air for me

  • Tough to keep the list small, but here are some of my favorites lately:

Beartooth, Avatar, August Burns Red, Ice Nine Kills, Whitechapel, Carnifex, Dying Fetus, Bloodbath, Decapitated, Fit For A King, Gojira, Killswitch Engage, Light The Torch, Kublai Khan, Motionless In White, Shadow of Intent, Synthetic Torture...

I'm gonna stop there because that's just a lot lol

Agreed. Village of Shadows was so hard for me. I had 18 health meds and an infinite ammo dragoon saved up from previous runs. And even with those items I died during the survivor the Lycan Attack section.

    Damn, sounds intense!

  • I loved it but wish the Beneviento House lasted longer or the game had a little bit more horror throughout. It felt like Capcom was just reminding us that they CAN give us some of the best horror in gaming right now if they want to, but they're taking it easy on us for Village.

That being said, I've read multiple articles pointing out why they chose to do that and it does make sense in many ways. Also haven't tried Village of Shadows difficulty yet, so maybe they ramp it up a bit with that? Either way, still an absolute gem of a game. I'll be playing it for quite a while

  • "Wow you're a trash killer lmao. Learn how to play the game"

For me, I think its just small easter eggs that capcom put in since they're doing the RE chapter with DBD, or its just curveballs

I wouldn't at all be surprised if that was the case. Fun to speculate either way!

  • I can't help but feel like something from RE8 is going to be in the chapter. Inside Castle Dimitrescu you can hear Meg's scream from the little cutscene when you load up DBD, and you can find an "Ingrid's Necklace" within the castle; the voice actor for Meg just happens to be named Ingrid. Could just be fun little easter eggs, but I can't help but think there's something more there.

Either way, I'm happy with whatever we get. I have a preference for 7 and 8 just because I started with 7 but I'm all for the old characters coming to dbd as well.

  • Keys. I don't wanna be halfway through a fun, tense match just to have a survivor (or four) suddenly leave and end it. Or if they're on my team, I don't want them ditching me or ignoring gens to look for hatch all game which seems to be the case with most people who bring keys in my experience

  • I'm a little biased toward newer stuff since 7 was the first RE game I've played so I'd be very happy with something newer, but it'd make more sense for something older to be what makes it in. Either way I'm just happy to have Resident Evil in the fog!

  • People will dc over anything. Here's a gem I had after pulling someone out of a locker because I saw a pool of blood underneath it:

    20210508_125734.jpg 20210508_125802.jpg

Side note: they had the crossplay symbol on as well, so they had to go out of their way to find me on Xbox just to message me ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Get over it maybe stop camping the hook or proxy camping an even tunneling then you won't have that problem js

Ugh, yes. I sometimes wonder how these people get to Red, though I know it's because they got carried by SWF so really it's a rhetorical question.

Agreed. And I'll fully admit the only reason I'm a red rank killer is because of these ranks being full of boosted survivors lol

  • Doesn't help that half the red ranks out there play like they're in yellow ranks ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

    You I like.

Everyone take note of this gigachad's sense of humor.

    20210507_110431.jpg

    Thanks boss!

  • Many people really don't know how pig works. I was playing a match once where one survivor had an active rbt and was trying to open the gate. I tried to stop and just watch but he started running instead. So, being the kind piggy I am, I went and opened the gate for him instead of chasing him. I just had to try it... He tries running out of the gate and his head pops instead.

  • Of these choices, probably Sabotage lately. Been running Pop, Whispers, Discordance, and Corrupt on Ghostface. With Corrupt and Whispers it's easy to get a quick start to the match, often with a gen grab. As long as I get a quick down and hook it's easy to get value out of Pop since Discordance usually goes off early on as well thanks to Corrupt limiting options for gens to work on. So ideally I get that first hook pretty quick and undo the work of two people with Pop and I'm already in another chase again without much gen progression.
