My game keeps crashing every time I get downed first, out of position at the start of the game. Just after I teabagged the killer.
-
If they SAY they are skipping a chapter to do a project health then no.
If they actually can and will pull it off then absolutely yes.
We've already lost our events for bug fixes that never happened (and got a Battle Pass instead). Fool me once!
-
It feels like a bug because the survivor unnaturally clips through the killer so although I like it, I think it should be on the low priority fix list.
-
@Sairek - I actually agree with you except for the Chess analogy. Chess isn't a team game so knocking your King over doesn't hurt other team members.
I would be happy for Chess to become 4vs1 though.
-
The only way to do this is to remove the struggle mechanic completely and allow people to attempt to unhook themselves with no penalty to their time on the hook.
Then they would have to DC to leave the game.
Having said that, I would rather have the option to suicide both on the final hook stage and when Hillbilly has slugged us all.
-
This is how happy he will be to hear your kind words:
-
I think the new rank reset system was the biggest contributing factor to every green killer being matched against red rank last month. Let's see if this month we are back to normal.
-
You know who else can break through walls? Jaws.
I think Jaws is the next killer.

They had terminator license for Deathgarden but it died (Deathgarden, not terminator). Maybe they can also use it for dbd. It's much more probable than jason, since he is still stuck in lawsuit (jason, not terminator).
Why am I picturing Joson Vorhees sat in a courtroom in a nice suit, still wearing his mask?
I think both could be a Smasher. I'd prefer Jason, but if it was Terminator, I'd want the 1984 Arnold Schwarzenegger skin.

Maybe they changed it back to the old way without saying anything? Or it's a bug
I will be surprised if they did it without warning. But I hope you are right and they have reverted it.

The best way to enjoy the game as a new player is to understand that you are supposed to die at some point in the match. You are playing the game to score points and level up your characters. Focus on stealth and not looping and pallets. Eventually you will start to get some escapes and it will feel exhilarating.
Keep at it and you will be flashlight clicking and teabagging in no time.

No offense but I’d rather the team focus on balancing the game over another hair redesign
I'd rather the art team stop trying to address balancing personally. Stay at your own side of the office please.
If the artists are now modifying core game code, no wonder there are so many bugs!
-
Interesting, it looks like you need to be slightly behind the hook yourself. That explains why I always hit the hooked survivor then.
-
Your three kills showed they were no match for you. You need to be against 4 rank 1s.
-
Too many killers were disconnecting because their Ruin totem went within seconds.
Fixed and Fixed.
-
How can there be someone who breaks through walls that isn't Jason Vorhees?
-
@MasterGrit said:
It has easy way to counter it though.
Survivor who try to do it is giving killer a free hit
If the hook-techer is willing to let the hooked survivor hit struggle, he can hold the killer there for up to two minutes while the remaining survivors do gens.

Using csgo is a terrible comparison, imagine if csgo had maps that as soon as you spawn in you know your chances of winning just got alot lower or make your power almost worthless. Knowing that there is absolutely broken stuff in the game like moris and iri huntress and deciding to play on. This game has quite a few reasons to make you want to DC and that's a big problem
But nobody should be allowed to DC just because they get Haddonfield. Variation between the difficulty of different games is a good thing (even if the matchmaking takes it too far).
-
I've had the hidden skill check bug. I stayed in the game. I am more useful to my team being a distraction to the killer than I am disconnected.
-
I agree that killer wait times are out of control. I pressed triangle to create a lobby, went to the Kitchen to get a beverage, when I came back the game had started, all my gens had been done and the survivors were all teabagging at the exit gates.
BHVR please fix killer lobby times.

Hook Tech is not a bug. Its not an exploit. Its called a tech for a reason. Its using the hooked survivor to body block hits from the killer. To think this is an exploit just shows how scrub of a killer you are. Its literally a technique to avoid hits from the killer. when survivors aren't hooked they body block also to prevent other survivors from getting hit. Same principal. How does it suddenly change just because they are hooked. They shouldn't have made hooked survivorrs hittable in the first place I guess. No more hitting survivors when you initially hook them to stop them from screaming. Don't know why people even do this but hey.... HOOK TECH.... Its a technique. Get over it. Stop getting mad at skillful survivors for learning how to counter your stupid face camping and tunneling.
Using hook-tech is "skillful" now is it? Good to know.

Said this in a few other threads, but I’ll say it again. It gives me Banana Split vibes, and that’s a good thing.
Tra la la, tra la la la
Tra la la, tra la la la
One banana two banana three banana four
All bananas make a split so do many more
Good luck getting that out of your head now. You're welcome. 😀

You are so right, it will be missed.
I will also miss some "comedy DCs.":
- Last week a Doctor spent the entire game chasing me, he finally downed me and then immediately disconnected. I would love to have seen the satisfaction the player got from that.
- Playing survivor, I stole a team mates chest item, later in the game she sandbagged me by dropping a pallet to lead the killer towards us, then she teabagged and DCd.
I will miss these lovely funny moments.
-
Clowns are already supposed to be "fun" though but we are all used to horror clowns. There was also a horror movie called The Banana Splits that had similar costumes to Mr Puddles. I don't think it is out of place for a horror clown to wear a furry animal Costume.

If this is a serious comment I think it's stupid. P.S I am Canadian so sorry if I offended you eh? Lol
The survivors on the Canadian servers were actually very good. But they played like non-toxic solos rather than toxic teams on comms.
I would love to play against good Canadian non-toxic solos that give the killer a hearty hand shake at the end of the game. Instead for me its game after game against European teabagging, flashlight clicking, hook-teching Blendette SWF death squads that ask me to kill myself at the end of the game.
-
I do sympathise with lower rank killers facing a rank 1 swf. Either:
- Try to learn from the experience
- Wander around the map looking at the trees
- Eat the disconnect penalty.
The penalty is only a few minutes and due to lobby times, you will still get your next killer game before the swf you just faced will get theirs.
-
I watched Mrs JawsIsTheNextKiller wait for 15 minutes in a lobby as one of 4 SWF Claudettes dressed in matching Prestige 3 outfits all equipped with toolboxes.
"I can't beleive I've been lobby dodged again!"
Really? You gonna put that toolbox down for the next attempt? Maybe switch to default Dwight? No? Ok then, enjoy your wait.
-
"I knew you were doing the x challenge, that's why I DCd."
I find it astonishing that people could be so toxic that they would throw their own bloodpoints away simply to stop a player they have never met from finishing a challenge.
I think this will continue until DCs are simply counted where possible so that if a player wants to prevent another from getting a challenge, staying in the game is the best way to achieve that goal. The "sacrifice 4 players in the basement" challenge should have been "sacrifice all active players in the basement". Then the DC would count towards the challenge and discourage DCs.

I seriously can't believe people complain about this.
Just sit there and face camp the guy. You have 2 survivors not doing gens. You're not getting punished for sitting near the hook. Don't be a bot and try to hit the guy.
Its the two guys that ARE doing the gens that are the problem.
-
@CornMoss said:
Bro it's so easy to counter, I actually like it when survivors do this cuz it gives me a free hit or hook. It's good against new players
I think perhaps if they sit there for too long the best tactic is to let them run off and make sure the hooked person hits struggle. I find there is usually a 3rd person ready to do the rescue if I chase the hook-techer.

No as it is a known issue being worked on already.
I didn't know that made a difference. Are only unknown exploits reportable?

This is my typical rank 1 sol survivor experience on ps4 UK server, 10 minutes wait and then green killer 85% of the times, when I get a red killer the match starts within a couple of minutes.
When I play killer at Red ranks I also only get red ranks within seconds.
This sounds to me like there's a scarcity of red ranks killers
Three purples? I would love three purples!
-
Well they have cancelled events so that they can fix things.
Still waiting since the Summer non-event though aren't we?
-
But in other regions, killers are struggling. There are lots of posts on these forums where people are noticing the gulf between killers and survivors. The survivors are all at red ranks, the killers are all at green. Killers are complaining they are getting destroyed by bad matchmaking, survivors are falling asleep at their gens because it is so easy.
I think it will be really sad if BHVR genuinely think that this is simply confirmation bias.
-
@Jasonisanicefella said:
There are but they are a minority compared to red ranks survivors, if I play 10 survivor's games I'll probably get 2 red ranks killers and 8 green ranks. Haven't seen a purple killer in a while
As soon as you hit green ranks as killer you can expect red rank SWF most games. I think many killers struggle with the huge difference between versing green rank solos and red rank SWF.
-
At least you didn't buy Hag specifically for it.
I think it needed to be a bit rubbish, to stop everyone relying on a single perk. I hope killers are performing badly enough for the devs to give killers a non-perk-based buff to compensate.
If killers are generally coping fine, we'll get nothing.

@ignoredprayers said:
I am a green rank killer. Git gud, I know. Every match I am against red/purple survivors these days, nothing else. I started playing bubba with noed and bloodwarden and just hard camp now after the first down. It's actually a lot more fun than getting ######### on by people several skill tiers above me, and I am getting a 2k or more on average. I suggest everyone facing the same frustrating and broken matchmaking do the same.
Some games you will get a fair match. It's usually obvious early on if one or more survivors are red rank. You should look for any signs of toxicity first. Then camp their face.

Wait, so you’re purposely staying low rank so you can dominate rank 13-15 survivors? Based on your results and the way you say you let people go I’m guessing you’re more likely belonging in the purple ranks anyways...
I have no sympathy for people who try to smurf and are forced by MM to play against people they should be against anyways.
If the OP is letting survivors go then everybody wins right?
-
Having fun, playing around with different builds and not using 4K as my win condition.
That's my meta anyway.
-
You are rank 7 so most of your games are going to be against rank 1s and 2. Personally I would leave it until matchmaking becomes a bit more sensible.
I'd never have thought that this would become a difficult achievement, but without the old Ruin, its almost like running perkless.
-
I once saw a dove.
Technically it was a bug. But it still counts.
-
I'd much rather lose a game with double bloodpoints than win it with fewer.
-
This really would be a good idea. At last, I've sacrificed all 4 survivors in the basement!
Checks challenge, "Search 5 chests".
-
If the new MMR system is not imminent, they must revert the "dump every survivor to rank 5" rank reset change.
How can matchmaking work if every survivor is red rank?
-
Same. I only play Oni on dailies as I haven't unlocked BBQ on him.
At least we have three slots to play with instead of two now that Ruin has gone.
-
I'd like to see Demogorgon's mum who has come to the Entity's realm looking for him. I always imagine him to be a young child, I think its because of his cute little face. She wouldn't need to be a new character, just a skin for Demo like we have for The Legion.
I don't know why but I picture Mamagorgon holding a handbag (purse), wearing glasses and too much lipstick.
-
I would like to chainsaw survivors arms off.
-
But console players play on a comfortable sofa. Even if they brought a keyboard and mouse option, I don't think I would like sitting on the floor to play.
-
@Dr_Loomis Rank 10s are pretty much guaranteed to get rank 4 survivors so bringing an ebony Mori was sensible.
-
I'd love to know the thought process of the rank reset changes. It was obvious to all of us that all survivors would end up as red rank. Could this have been to justify the planned MMR system perhaps?
