You ever see a skin on another character and be like "woah, I wish I had that for my character"
Us feng enjoyers are just living that dream. People look at me differently on the street and I know its because they can feel my superiority as a feng player.

I don’t see the Entity blocking that pallet either, though.
Yeah its 100% not BF. I know which perks do what. It's been happening since either wesker dropped or the halloween event started. Happens when the killer is on the other side of the pallet mid lunge as well. Hence getting hit while im mashing space to drop it.

Hello,
its hard to tell from this picture, but could the killer be running the Hex perk Blood Favor? If they hit you with a basic attack, all palettes in 16m can't be thrown for 15s.
But you should have a curse icon in that case.
No blood favour. The billy is afk.
It's been happening quite a bit on seemingly random pallets. I finally got a chance to get a screen after a week or so of wondering if im going insane.

Stuff like this ^^^ is just lame and being done for the BM. Otherwise go hard, slug to your hearts content. Just remember though, when you fight hard like that. Expect the same in return.

Double locker spam saving is like a safe zone in chasies. Its cheap and used by that kid kyle on the playground no one likes to play with.

I had to spend nearly 40 minutes this morning clicking on bloodwebs to spend 2 million BP. This is really really unfun and just makes me want to take a break off the game for a few hours after doing it. I have to put my pc on mute otherwise the repetitive sounds drive me insane. This really needs some QOL changes.

Right, so your survivors get away with running Plunderer's and crap, and running around in circles waiting for the killer to chase them?
Look at this:
Not once was I in a position to tunnel or camp. Almost slugged 3 of them and pushed the 4th out too, but then 1 of 3 slugs got picked up and looped a single fence at Yamaoka's main building for like 10 seconds(?) because survivors move so fast and cut obstacles so tight, giving them enough time to get picked up, body block, and all get out. 2-3 Dead Hards, at least 1 Adrenaline as I'm about to down someone, and 1 was following with flashlight half the match, so after downing 1 I had to down a second, which lets them get picked up. Boons my hexes too so I never once got Pentimento. Looped the single rock loop by main building for like 45 seconds TWICE, with flashlighter/body blocker saving when they actually did make a wrong read for once. "Oh, but you're playing Wraith with purple add-ons." Wraith sucks, and his best add-ons don't change a thing. Unresponsive console controls as well. You try dealing with this under similar circumstances and see how well you do. Nobody could mentally withstand the average frustration I experience but me. You'd have to not care at all.
Seems pretty standard for going against a strong SWF. I see it alot, even on my killers I barely play. I can see you're on console using a controller so that explains alot of the opinions you express. If you can, play on PC. The difference is night and day. Controller is so badly optimized for killers.

If ants evolved to be 1% bigger, they too would be in the "best spot" since their creation. What's your point?
I do struggle, but my survivors are definitely better on average than most of the survivors people on these forums seem to face. I'll have a stressless game maybe 1/4 of the time at best. I notice that matches where I don't tunnel or 2-hook, or there's a boon(s) or a Dead Hard(s) present, I usually don't win. That's just a fact of life for killers, being at the mercy of survivors bringing weak stuff vs strong stuff. Survivors can suck at chase if they're efficient on gens. They can suck on gens if they're good in chase. If they're good at neither you've got a good chance of winning, but if they're good at both there's no chance of winning. Not even going to talk about SWF, which has obvious and crazy advantages over the killer.
The meta for killer against the best survivors is Corrupt/Deadlock/No Way Out, because they're the only guaranteed slowdown that don't require constant downs. The best survivors pretty much don't go down. So while Pop and Jolt are great and all (against survivors who constantly go down), they don't do much to this breed of survivors. They also show you how much potential the "killer sided" maps have for survivor. I rarely have an easy match on Dead Dawg for example, because they just mindlessly run to main building every time they're hit. I started experimenting with Enduring/Brutal/Bamboozle, to get the stupid pallets and windows out of the way, but to no avail against good survivors. Can't JUST 3-gen the survivors either, because they'll simultaneously be trying to split the map. Can't SIMPLY tunnel or camp someone out, because it's not as if they're giving out hits for free, and then they'll get body blocked or hide out the rest of the game, meanwhile gens are still going.
What's insane is how y'all don't see this. I'm honestly envious of you, that you either don't get these survivors or you find playing Nurse and Blight 24/7 fun. 90% of the killer cast is not in THAT good of a spot if you haven't noticed, stats be damned. Killer has a lack of skill expression, because basically everything they can do in chase gets trumped, brushed off, or made meaningless by gen speed.
I get beaten all the time, I just don't make excuses for making mistakes. What super secret group of survivors are you talking about? You verse the same people everyone else does. Its been confirmed MMR is a pool with a cutoff to keep new players vsing new players. The rest are chucked into the mix with everyone else to help with queue times.

I think people have a very loose definition of trolling, rules-wise I'd say you can consider refusing to participate to the normal gameplay as trolling, so offenses like teaming, holding others hostage, etc. which are considered griefing.
I feel like a lot of players see honest mistakes or lack of game knowledge as trolling, for example a teammate dropping a pallet on someone else's face, when maybe the person just did it without thinking.
HMMM that last line is rather specific :P
I am guilty of this as well.

Not at the moment. The tricky thing with those are that they are all race conditions, making the server needs to resolve an issue between two conflicting pieces of info.
To take Dead Hard as an example, the Killer sees themself hitting and downing you, but you see yourself Dead Hard first. Both cannot be true, so the server has to step in and check the timestamps to see which actually happened first. Adding a buffer in this case might make it feel better on your end, but it would make the outcome objectively less fair at the expense of Killers.
Meanwhile for flashlights, there's no conflicting info. Either you blind in time or you don't. This only affects how it feels to use.
Yeah fair play. Cheers for the answer mate.

To give some insight here, the survivor still needs to be at that "middle step" of the pickup animation (before the Killer hoists them onto their shoulder) for the save to work, it just doesn't have to be the exact right frame anymore. Any earlier and it still won't blind, any later and the Killer can still turn away.
As a Killer, it's almost too short to notice. Since the blind VFX fade in, it's hard to tell if the blind was on time or buffered in most cases.
Hi @Peanits
Is there any plans or ideas to add this buffer to other validations like dead hard or pallet stuns. Something similar along the lines. I don't know if im going insane or not, but recently I have been struggling to hit pallet stuns and dead hard consistently. Other people I have spoken to have mentioned something similar. chur.

Difference: I know what to do with the teammates. I talked earlier about survivors who gift the killer more kills thanks to no coordination or even worse, grabs for example.
So you've never made a mistake in the save or borked a rescue?

Buff killer first then. I'm tired of survivors getting all the good stuff, and then anytime killer gets anything, survivors have to be appeased so they get stuff again. Notice the pattern. Any one killer buff, two survivor buffs happen. I also notice how the meta stuff for killer is always "OP", but survivor stuff is simply "strong", and how survivors' counterplay to the killer is always brought up but never how the killer can counter the survivors. Y'all won't be able to hide behind, "But solo is weak" forever.
lol this is insane. Killer is in the strongest spot its been since release. I don't want to talk about skill, but it seems like you really really struggle to get wins man. Everything is just grrrrr survivor make me angy.
-
Its called the dunning kruger effect lol
-
@danielmaster87 said:
You can't. Any buff to solos will be a direct nerf to killers, especially the weaker ones.
Daniel, By bringing solo queue up to the same level as SWF as far as communication goes you can buff the other weaker killers to compensate. Its a fairly simple concept. Not to disparage, you really need to start looking at balance objectively. The game needs to be fun for everyone, Right now solo queue with the recent changes and current roster and meta is incredibly unfun to play. Killer is not fun to play at higher levels nor at lower levels because its a stomp both ways. There needs to be changes on both sides.

Yeah i do the same in SWF. However, this boosts killrates and is not the logical end of the game.
Wait so you do the same thing you're complaining about other people doing? I don't get it lmao

@Marik1987 said:
Altruism is killers 5th perk. Always, especially in Endgame. 1 guy is on hook and 3 at the exit? Of course the 3 want to save instead of just winning the game, because that would be too easy.
And then, because they are too stupid to do the rescue, the killer ends with a 3K.
Its nothing against the killer. We don't leave friends behind.
-
Wonderful XD
-
Yeah its pretty obnoxious. They need to add an aura read to all survivors when the box has spawned so we can see who is going to the box. The spawn zones on the game need to be changed as well, I literally just faced this.
Franklins with a game offering on pinhead. With lethal pursuer you just triangulate the area the survivors aren't and that's where the box is.
Dude popped the box before the first gen was done then you just TP to the survivor with the box again, rinse and repeat. There's like 3 spawn points on that map for the box.

Oh, you misunderstand. I have always been bad at them. xD
I'm still pretty recent to the game (started during the masquerade event) and I haven't really put a lot of time into practicing chase extensively or really learning how to loop certain tiles, so I'm still kinda flailing around grasping at straws when chased. I'll need quite a bit more experience to register naturally when to slam pallet down and when not to :)
See thats the secret. You never do. You just throw everything and hope for the best xD Broken clock is right twice a day :P

a team wins. not a killer. people get plenty of 4ks in comp with clown and the "low tier" killers. go watch some dbdleague, its quite interesting to see the contrast between pub and comp players.

I heard about that build, but I am extremely bad at getting pallet stuns (and at flashlights), so that ship has sailed for me haha !
Yeah pallet stuns are a nightmare at the moment. I can't hit them to save my life either. I think it was something to do with trying to bandaid reverse stunning. I tend to ride the line pretty thin so Ive been getting hit through alot of pallets im smashing my spacebar to throw.

I like the rhyme haha !
I'm thinking of maybe switching to Overcome instead of Lithe to disappear out of sight before vaulting, maybe with Lightweight, I'll have to check it out at some point :)
Smash hit, parental guidance, lightweight, residual manifest is pretty decent. Slam a pallet on their head and blind with torch, by the time the blind wears off you're gone with 0 scratch marks.

@HugTheHag said:
A big part of perks, on both sides, is impredictability. If you can surprise the opponent with your build, you can get it to work at least once.
As an example, I use Lithe/Dance With Me. It works pretty often in early game, a bit less once the killer's seen me vault. It definitely wouldn't work if the killer saw in lobby that I had that combo.
Seeing the perk loadouts of survivors would remove a lot of diversity from them, as survivor meta would shift back or crank it up towards what is strong regardless of the situation (DH for exhaustion, busted medkits for healing, Adrenaline, and so on and so forth) instead of giving situational/underrated builds a chance. Niche or lesser used perks would greatly fade from common builds.
I love that build. Lithe, Dance with me and quick and quiet. I call it "drop a gear and disappear"
-
My man, were you just spam vaulting in front of an uncloaked wraith? The trick to wraith is to be aware that his uncloak is basically a stun and treat it as such. If he uncloaks in front of you, take the window. If he uncloaks at the pallet, run to another loop. If he uncloaks trying to LOS you can make the pallet. If he's standing their cloaked then you can spam vault, Just make sure you're on the other side when he comes out of cloak lol. Eventually you're going to go down. There's no solid counterplay in the sense you can run forever. Don't trust these streamers who spend half their time off stream tanking their MMR.
