  • I've always wanted unique survivors with their own abilities/traits, ever since the game came out. I don't know why they decided one side should have unique characters and the other should be skins with no functional distinction whatsoever. Part of the reason I'm a killer main, I can switch characters and have a different experience but the survivor experience will always be the exact same no matter what

I've also always wanted a secondary/alternative objective. Or at least more interactables that are worth using. Yeah maybe nobody'd do it and they'd just slam gens anyways, or maybe it'd just end up being a waste of survivors' time, but I still want one because it gets so boring that if I'm not running a meme build as survivor I get bored out of my skull, which also ties back in with the lack of unique survivors. Maybe not even another objective but at least something more to generators, like being able to find parts in the map and install them to gain progress like a delivery objective as opposed to just sitting on the gen holding m1 for 80 seconds

But it's all a pipe dream. Survivors just being skins is the one single thing I hate the absolute most about this game. Everything else I can live with, if only barely, but this... this is the sole reason dbd will never be one of my favorite games

  • Any killer can be a stealth killer with a black hole covering half the screen for 10 seconds and the screaming/airplane noise of someone getting hooked/sacrificed making me unable to see or hear anything until the killer is breathing down my neck

Okay maybe that's an exaggeration but I have been screwed by the black hole too many times to count, and even when I don't really get affected by it it's still really annoying

  • If they have Mr X I want his terror radius/chase music to be X gonna give it to ya

  • sir this is a Wendy's

  • It was on Pyramid Head PTB...

    Hawkins Laboratory...

    Nurse's Calling...

Last two guys healing on a walkway, unbeknownst to them I'm on a set of stairs which is right on the other side of the wall. I guess they didn't hear the sword or didn't know I was there, because 2 seconds later a big shockwave came through the wall and ruined their life. Endgame chat was pretty funny, they said they ######### their pants which is always good to hear

  • Plague

I got tired of her slow ass puke velocity taking 5 minutes to reach the target, and I realized how much I hate playing against her so it made me kinda not want to play her. I still play her sometimes but when I'm breathing down someone's neck and still can't hit them because they're going around a corner it makes me wonder why I came back or even started liking her in the first place

  • I think they're kinda overrated. I rarely use them and I don't feel that much stronger with them, but that's coming from someone who hates metas and always runs meme builds. I do like Head On, but I don't really consider it an "exhaustion perk" even though it technically is one

  • Hatching a Plan

    • Hatch takes 1/2/3 fewer generators done/survivors dead to spawn
    • You can open the hatch without a key
    • When the killer tries to close the hatch they jump in, escaping the trial
    • Almost everybody hates it
    • Almost nobody likes it (but some people will defend it for no reason other than masochism)
    • Potential damage to hardware
    • People who are physically unable to mash a button repeatedly can't do it and have to die
    • Lag can cause people to die
    • If a single button push fails to register you die
    • Overall this mechanic has many better alternatives

Devs still won't change it though...

  • In the situation where you are injured and someone nearby is repairing a gen, it's actually better to self heal than to let them stop repairing to heal you. Don't believe me?

    Gen - 80 charges, Heal - 16 charges

    Both heal first method:

    • 16 seconds to heal, no gen progress during this time
    • 1.7 charges per second on generator, taking about 47 seconds
    • total of 63 seconds to heal and do generator

    Self care/gen split method:

    • 32 seconds to heal, 32 charges on generator simultaneously
    • 48 remaining charges once second survivor starts working, taking about 28 seconds to finish
    • total of 60 seconds to heal and do generator

Almost negligible difference but technically self care is slightly more efficient than the other person stopping repair to heal you first, so it is mathematically proven that self care does not reduce gen efficiency, it actually slightly improves it. Does that make it worth a perk slot? Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't, either way though maybe people should stop hating on it so harshly

  • Increase survivor's aura range by 4/6/8 meters, and increase survivor's aura duration by 3/4/5 seconds (duration doesn't stack with multiple users but range still does)

This means if you use a map you will see things for 5 seconds after you stop reading it, if you have a perk like Alert it will last 10 seconds instead of 5, if you have Kindred the killer will be revealed for 5 seconds after leaving the radius. Empathy will show someone for 5 seconds after they're healed, so on and so forth. Still requires other aura reading perks/items to work, but I feel like this would make it a much more appealing option for people who like aura reading and would now benefit all the perks that don't have a range limit

You can count to 5 cant you, thats how I do it with det hunch and easy cleanse them all and get rid of 1-2perks, I once cleased 4 hex totems one was undying but all done before 2nd gen, around 2 and a half minutes, honestly totems need to be hidden cause I can find them easily even without the perk already know the most common spawns :/

I don't know about you but I'm not on comms with all my teammates so I can't just automatically know every time a totem gets cleansed, with a totem counter you'd know if someone else has already done them all so you don't have to look for 5 broken totems to know for sure (and it would bridge the gap between swf and solos because swf can already communicate about how many totems have been broken, but solos can't)

  • I've always wanted more items. There's loads of stuff they could do, like an energy drink (speed boost), smoke bomb (smoke up an area making it harder for killer to see where you are/where you went), something to open gates faster and/or something that lets you hotwire a gate before it's powered to give it up to 50% starting progress. They could come up with so many ideas (or at least I could) and I feel like they should. Survivors aren't unique in any way and there's only one objective so giving them more stuff to help spice up the gameplay would be great. And if you count powers as the killers' items (given that they both have addons and both take up the same slot on the loadout screen) then killers have far more items than survivors.

I hate how one side continues to get more and more unique with each addition while the other side just gets constant reminders of how they're all the same and can't do anything about it

  • I just want a little totem counter next to the gen counter 😔

  • Technically Self Care doesn't really waste any more time than normal healing, since you are 1 person occupied for 32 seconds, whereas normal healing is 2 people for 16 seconds. Self care is double the time, but half the people. You might even save a little bit of time since you don't have to worry about finding another person to heal you. And, if for whatever reason no one is around to heal you (or they won't), you don't have to stay injured

The reason it gets criticized so much is because there are people who self care on the other end of the map instead of helping their teammates when they need help, but if you don't do that it doesn't really do any harm

  • Maybe there should be a perk for it like Iron Grasp or Mad Grit since those perks don't have much use anyways, a little bonus wouldn't hurt

  • Pretty sure this would be tier 4 Satanism

  • I don't think they have much right to complain about people calling him "the baby" considering the way they designed it. Maybe if the killer was a guy and/or they looked (way) closer in age people wouldn't make the comparison quite as much but still. You'd expect twins to look like twins (even if they aren't identical) and not more like a mother/child because to anyone who doesn't know that's probably what they'd assume before they'd assume they're twins

  • People aren't allowed to talk about bans or any kind of punishment because I dunno, I guess mods wouldn't be able to just bang boom bop whoever steps out of line without having to explain themselves if it wasn't for a good enough reason or the punishment was disproportional to what the person did (I'm just saying a potential explanation not actually saying that's what it is 😁)

  • A blocked gen can't regress, but a gen that was regressing before it got blocked will regress once unblocked... so I have no idea if a gen can be set to regress after unblocked while it's blocked at the time the regression would be applied

  • I'm the other way around, I frickin hate playing as her I'd rather get captured by the doctor for 20 minutes irl but going against her I'm like whatever

  • It won't be 115%/4.6m and the power will be something powerful is my prediction. I personally would like to see a 105% killer since we don't really have one (unless T1 Myers counts) with a power that's better than the 110 killers

  • We aren't really sure actually, it could pretty much be anything. All we know for sure is it has a pale arm with a hand on it, possibly moves using more than 2 limbs, could be low to the ground at least some of the time based on the angle of the attack in the teaser, and sounds female based on the breathing/snarling and screech

I think it's gonna be the crawler which was an old idea they had that "supposedly" ended up becoming the hag but I think they've actually been holding the real thing back until now and they're gonna finally unleash it on us

Lol a game where I’m forced to play? I can’t leave or else I get banned, I can’t kill myself on hook, being slugged on the ground until you bleed out after years later, etc. no thanks.

I wish they'd remove hook suicide so the people who don't want to play the game they voluntarily bought and queued up for would just quit playing altogether or get banned from dcing so all us non quitters can enjoy an actual normal 1v4 without people giving up over one little thing they don't like. Not to mention all the people who say they don't want to be forced to play never offer any solution for killers who have no equivalent to dying on hook

  • If the last survivor is down they should be able to surrender to the entity so we don't have the super long slug situations. Or just make them die after 30-60 seconds of not getting up or being picked up. And if the killer is slugging several people like that then it should allow them all to surrender if there's 0 hope for them

  • I hate her because her traps everywhere are annoying af. Crouch and go ultra slow (and be unable to quickly leave wherever you crouch into) or get jumpscared every 2 seconds, which is worse? And you can forget getting a hook save without her breathing down your neck in a matter of seconds. Just really really annoying. I'd much rather play against Nurse or Huntress or Billy or Spirit or anyone else pretty much

  • The Crawler is my guess

  • Not only that but her BP gain could use some work. Plague might just have the worst BP gain in the game (I think)

  • They should make the wiggle less annoying while they're at it. It's just as bad as struggling except you have to break 2 buttons or a stick instead of just 1 button. And you are more likely to have to do it, at least with hook struggle you can sometimes avoid it if you don't get hooked twice or you're the last one to die but with wiggling you basically have to most games or just give the killer free reign over where to hook you and make any attempt to save you worthless

  • I have a ton of charms but I literally never equip them and I never pay attention to/notice them in game. Somebody could have literally any charm and it wouldn't make the slightest difference to me

  • Heck, there are people who don't even understand how scratch marks work. Like maybe sprinting to the corner of the map and crouching behind a rock when I'm basically already there isn't a good idea (and I'm not even talking about brown/yellow ranks, I'm talking about people who should already be well aware of such a basic game mechanic. Although I guess if they never play killer they might not realize how easy scratch marks are to see but still)

  • I just hope it's not speed stealth or teleport since those have been beaten to death already

  • This game is the reason my steam profile is private

  • Or maybe the killer's just a sore loser and can't accept the fact that maybe the Entity doesn't like them as much as they like themselves 😄

  • They've refused to acknowledge its existence for over 4 years (since the game came out) despite it being the worst killer perk and being much worse than many other killer perks they later buffed. I'd say the chance is about as high as getting a basement kobe with the killer having this perk (but we don't really know if it's a literal 15% or 15% of 4%)

  • Wendigos are cryptid creatures found in Appalachia in 2102. Wendigo is a mythical cannibalistic monster native to the northern forests between the Atlantic Coast and the Great Lakes region of North America. In post-apocalyptic West Virginia, the term is used to refer to a particularly terrifying humanoid monster lurking in the backwoods of the region. Few creatures, real or imagined, terrify West Virginians quite like the wendigo. Possessing alarming speed, razor-sharp claws, and an...

here's the zoomed out version where you can see all the bs

  • I still wanna know what the Trapple item does (or was supposed to do)

    image.png

  • Chests or totems, I'm greedy af for BP and items

  • Ngl I kinda like flamethrower guy but he probably wouldn't be picked over other characters so I'm going with Josh

  • I wish the dc penalty was reduced based on how many normal rounds you play, so people who play more overall aren't punished more (someone who plays more has more chances to end up crashing or lag spike or something just by probability yet their amount of games doesn't seem to be taken into account). Someone who plays a lot could dc a much smaller percentage of the time than someone who plays a little yet currently the person who plays a lot would still get punished more simply due to the fact that they dc'd more numerically speaking, but not proportionally speaking

If I play 2 games a day and dc (by any means) once that's 50% of my games but the penalty isn't so bad

But if I play 30 games a day and dc (by any means) 3 times that's just 10% of my games but I'd get punished way harder

  • It's kinda disappointing that it doesn't have a lot of use and would be great if they change/buff it. The "it's hard mode" excuse people often use doesn't really seem valid, it would be so much more fun and interesting if they made this perk worth the cost. We don't have enough (or hardly any now that I think about it) perks that are big pain big gain. I want something to make never being able to heal worth it and not just a hard mode or troll perk

If I could change it I'd do these:

    • Change grunt reduction to 100%
    • You appear healthy at the start and killer can't see broken icon
    • You can press the active ability button while injured and standing still to make yourself appear healthy again
    • You don't have the injured music playing all the time
    • You aren't actually healthy it's just a façade to deceive the killer, especially if they used an instadown ability/perk or grabbed/found you in a locker they wouldn't know you have it and you can pretend to get healed and be healthy again
  • A digital bed in a side room of the basement of a map on a video game where a fictional character might have been suggested to have done something in a fictional movie to other fictional characters who for all intents and purposes don't really exist and only serve as part of the backstory and to which such events were never explicitly featured in said movie?

  • If they annoy me in some way, not likely. But if they are precious little Dwights and Jakes who hide in the corner every time they hear the terror radius I'll be super duper nice and give them like 10 extra chances and goof around with them and not try to actually kill them

  • I kind of get where they're coming from, there are some killers I'd rather just die and lose than actually have to deal with the annoyance from playing against them. It's not always necessarily ones that are good (although some of them are), it's just ones that are extremely annoying to deal with like Legion, Plague, Pig, Freddy, Hag, LF, Doctor, and maybe a few others. On the other hand I like playing against killers like Nurse, Billy, and Huntress; they are much more engaging and it feels like it's a real battle of skill rather than just getting banged in the butt by annoying garbage the whole time. Usually I don't do it too often because I don't want to screw my team. Plus if I hate a killer I'd rather try to make them lose than die to them

Personally I wish they'd take away the struggle button mashing, it's super annoying and damages hardware and literally no one likes doing it. And it allows people to suicide on the hook. If they at least give the person a chance to get rescued maybe they'll change their mind about wanting to leave and they'll start playing normally again. And if they get rid of it people can stop accidentally dying because they got distracted for 2 seconds or they only half pressed the button once or wanted to get a drink or had a lag spike or don't like breaking their fingers/stuff or they have carpal tunnel or something. There's a million reasons to remove it and next to no reasons to keep it that couldn't be matched by another solution

  • Personally I'd like a killer that can plant plants on objects that survivors have to remove before they can interact with it, and can plant special plants that grow entity fruit the killer can eat for a buff; survivors have to destroy the plant before it grows to stop that from happening

  • What if instead each subsequent time you are afflicted with the exhaustion status from one of your perks its duration increases by 10 seconds? (I specify "one of your perks" so something like Mindbreaker or an exhaustion addon doesn't rack up your timer super easily)

So your first use is 40, then 50, then 60, then 70, so on... this way it's not hard limited but using it a bunch becomes harder the more you use it. It makes sense, the more you exert yourself at once the longer you'll have to recover. And a mostly overlooked perk like Vigil could get some more use

Overall I don't think exhaustion perks are a super massive problem but they are 100% meta, almost everyone uses an exhaustion perk of some sort and I wouldn't mind them getting knocked down a peg. Or make some other perks worth using in their place
