Clown doesn't have that many cosmetics unfortunately, he's literally got a total of seven in the store, four of which are locked entirely behind a paywall for Auric cells. Add two outfits more only if you participated and completed the 2nd rift, bumping that total to a measly number of nine outfits, two thirds of which (or six) are not accessible for players to earn through normal in-game means. That's horrible.
He desperately needs more, there's so little love for Clown out there from the devs, he needs more changes to make him more gameplay viable as well as more fun to play as and against and more outfits to get people to like the character and his aesthetic.
You see, it's a paradox: people will tell you all the time "the most popular characters get cosmetics" but they neglect to mention the fact "cosmetics make a character more popular". It creates a cycle of neglect where the "popular characters" only become more popular because they are more supported and pushes the neglected characters even further into obscurity. That just sucks, especially for such a cool, creepy, and unique character like the Clown, he deserves better.
Thankfully whoever created that amazing Mr. Puddles cosmetic in the community contest brought some real attention to the Clown and that's awesome. Whoever that was, big thank you from everyone who loves the Clown as a character and hopefully he sees more stuff that's on par in quality like that.
On a personal level, I've always been a huge fan of the Downtown Fair cosmetic from the "Street Performer" collection, it was released a long time ago and you don't see many people wearing it but I always thought it looked super creepy and cool.
Street Performer Collection: Downtown Fair -
That is my favorite one too! I love everything about it - the makeup, the little hat, the big red nose, the polkadot pants, the big clown shoes, and my personal favorite clown knife! Glad to see some others have as much appreciation for it as I do. I also really like his Greek Hades set and the Halloween skin.
-
Bet it's another bug.
-
I normally give the devs the benefit of the doubt, but I can't defend this patch. This is crossing the line of what should be acceptable. I hope they listen to the community on this and rethink their future updates.
-
I feel the perk is too limited for it to be consistent. I think either removing the basic attack requirement or having it apply more regression (maybe 12-15%) would make it a good alternative to Pop.
-
It would probably be too complicated to code, but I wish Coup de Grace only consumed a token for lunges outside the normal lunge range. So, for example, if a survivor is in normal lunge range and the hit connects the game does a hit validation check of sorts. It if deems you would have gotten the hit normally, no token is consumed. However, if you were to miss the hit the perk activates and applies the extra lunge distance. The token is then consumed whether the hit connects or you still miss. I hope I explained that well enough.
A simpler improvement would be to have the perk only consume tokens on successful hits since it has a limited number of uses.

Pyramid Head has great chase potential but still struggles to pressure the map like any other killer without mobility. Splitting up on gens still beats him like every other killer in the game. Just because you may go down against him in chase faster than other killers doesn't make him OP.
-
I was thinking the same thing the other day. Those projected changes need to be implemented as an unannounced patch or it will be HELL for both sides. Nice forethought posting this. I hope the devs see this post and agree.
-
I don't mind any of his green or below add-ons. It's the purple and red ones that really irritate me. Very rare and Ultra rare add-ons are supposed to be the most interesting and creative ones that really change up a killer's playstyle and instead they just gave him the most boring, gimmicky status effects. It's disrespectful to Konami and the Silent Hill IP.
-
I 100% agree. The Twins should be an exception to their normal policy of not customizing killer powers. Victor is such an integral part to Charlotte; it won't feel right if Charlotte gets outfits that completely change her appearance while victor stays the same. I know a lot of people will be upset if that turns out to be the case, especially if we don't even get a bloody Victor. The easiest thing would be to have Victor customization linked to Charlotte's body piece.
And I hope this would also start a new feature of customizing other killer powers. It wouldn't be a realistic option for all killers, but some could be easily implemented. I wanna see newly designed chainsaws, hatchets, or a wailing bell. I would love to see the Oni get new Kanabos. At the very least, his legendary skin absolutely needs something different. A minotaur has no business wielding a Japanese weapon.
-
Nah, the REAL femto PP build is active Deliverance, DS, Unbreakable, Sould Guard. Literal invincibility for 1 minute. You can unhook yourself, can't be picked up or slugged, and the killer can't wait out DS.
-
My least favorite aspect of the new graphics updates by far. It looks super cheap and it sticks out in a bad way. Please bring back the old grass texture.
-
Where is the mori with just Victor? I've only seen one with both of them or just Charlotte. Can anyone else confirm?
-
I still can't get over that you can pallet stun Victor and he just instantly DIES.
-
I'm personally ok with not getting a new realm until they finish updating all the current maps. Since they're re-balancing maps along with the visual updates, it will be better for the health of the game in the long run. Plus, there's like 35 maps currently. That's already plenty of variety to play with while they ensure the current maps are up to par.

How do you know its another spirit teaser?
Just have a feeling they are making it so obvious the killer must be some kind of Wendigo that it's actually something entirely different. Just like in Spirit's teaser, everyone thought her dad was the killer.
-
And since the devs are updating Ormond, we'll be getting a new variation of that realm for a new map.
-
My guess is it's another Spirit teaser situation and the actual killer is something completely different from the trailer (the lore surrounding it is just what is significant).
-
Demogorgon or Ghostface for me. Demo's best add-ons are browns and running anything besides recovery add-ons on Ghostface feels like a meme.
-
I am so glad I waited but I understand it's incredibly frustrating to the people who got scammed. BHVR needs to think of something or they are going to lose a lot of players and trust over this. A good lesson from this is probably to never get new cosmetics as soon as they are released.
-
It's getting to the point where they need to do away with perk tiers 1-3. Would help with the grind significantly.
-
I definitely like them better than the current versions of those add-ons. I'm so sick of boring, useless add-ons like, "applies hemorrhage" or "applies blindness", especially when they are purple rarity. Give us something that really mixes it up or at least provides a considerable buff to something.
-
Thank you, @Fibijean. I've been busy with school, so I wasn't able to catch the stream this time. Your summaries are much appreciated. :)
-
Holy crap this blew up. Thanks everyone for your additional reporting on this! Really hope this gets fixed ASAP.
-
Bumping cause this bug sucks.

I currently have Pyramid Head's corrupted one and I plan to get more when I have the funds. I personally love the linked outfits and don't understand the level of hatred they get.
-
Linked cosmetics make me happy.
-
Just cause you don't like them doesn't mean no one likes them. I quite like the sets, actually.
-
Bump.
I want optimization for consoles more than any new chapter, new features, or balance changes. Please acknowledge this thread, BHVR.
-
This thread is just sad. The whining and entitledness of some members of the community never ceases to amaze me. Honestly, this thread should be closed for some of the harassment people are already facing over opinions on cosmetics.
-
I feel like Myers and Huntress will be next since they are the last killers whose add-ons don't match their current standards. But they have mentioned pig will get an add-on pass at some point.

This is the key difference. It makes him BECOME a minotaur, not dressed like one.
As lackluster as some may feel it is (I mean, it is a minotaur ffs, it's not exactly a new unique thing), it completely changes the character as a whole. It's not the oni as much as the onis kit on the minotaur.
Considering the skins they've made before though (for cheaper), I know they can do better than this. I don't want the devs to become lazy and settle. I want them to continue challenging themselves. Very few people are happy with this skin. It's leaving a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths.

That would be a very short video
Fair enough. Short ranty videos are cool too though. I've enjoyed your recent discussion series.
-
If enough people complain, they may actually do something about it so keep making your voices heard. Oni deserves better than what he got with this "Legendary" skin.
-
I actually don't mind linked sets. I personally like to wear entire outfits as a whole rather than mixing and matching. I like the theme each outfit encompasses and mixing is less appealing to me because it detracts from that. That being said, I know I'm in the minority and most people like to mix so the devs need to be careful with how many linked sets they put out or it will hurt their sales.

In my opinion, what makes it worth more, is that it's a completely different character than the Oni himself. Can you imagine how much longer it took the design team to make this skin than any other?
Not really. The head is the most unique thing about it. They gave him hooves, a tail, a new weapon, and some other minor changes. Trapper's Seaside Psycho skin (as just one example) has much more detail than this.
-
@MusicNerd_TC said:
It's a minotaur. A completely different character. I think having a minotaur Oni is ######### awesome personally.
I agree it's awesome and I was super excited when I found out about it. But there is nothing about the skin that makes it worth an extra 500 cells. They promised Legendary skins would be completely unique and set themselves apart from the rest and this one fails miserably. As it is right now, it's a perfectly acceptable very rare set.

It's just a cool looking cash grab. Like with 98% of the cosmetics, I'll be waiting until the price drops by a lot.
They will (hopefully) take the feedback seriously and make the skin worth the price before they lower it.

Believe me half the skins don't look as cool as the trailer even with ultra
Test subject 1 Doctor looks cool
Trapper's seaside traveller looks cool
Almost half of legion's skins looks cool even if you exclude the bunnies
Wraith's candle head looks cool
Hag's medusa looks cool
Spirit's samurai armor looks cool
Legion's viper ghost looks cool
All of the above go for 10 bucks or less.
Exactly. There are so many other skins that look just as cool (if not cooler) for cheaper. The Greek Clown and Spirit skins are leagues better considering what you're getting for what you're paying.
-
@ScottJund Can you make a video on this? I'm sure you're disappointed too.
-
They REALLY need to make the Kanabo different. That, to me, is the greatest offense that shows how lazy they went with the skin. To me, giving him a unique mori isn't completely necessary (though it would be nice), but if they made at least 3 of the changes out of your 5 suggestions, I would be much happier.
-
I'm glad to see other people are disappointed as well. BHVR has the right to update cosmetics so I hope they take this feedback seriously and make the skin more unique. I don't have a problem paying extra for a Legendary skin. But it really needs to have that "WOW" factor. It needs to set itself apart from the rest.
-
Disappointed as well. I was really hoping for a new Kanabo because they would have the opportunity to do that with a "Legendary Skin", but they dropped the ball on that. The current Kanabo doesn't even make sense with the skin. He's now a Greek Minotaur with a Japanese weapon which makes it stick out in a really bad way.
-
Normally, I try to give the devs the benefit of the doubt, but this decision has me scratching my head. At least give him a different-looking Kanabo and a unique roar and then maybe I could justify the purchase more.
-
Stuttering? Followed by the game freezing 3 separate times before eventually crashing? Yep, that's me.

I compiled an imgur album I posted to the subreddit as well with all the text changes I saw.
So these are the changes coming with the hotfix? How were these already found?
-
Is that what the add-on is supposed to do now? If so, then it's solid.
-
I feel really sluggish playing killer which is causing me to miss hits when I shouldn't be. Survivor movement is even harder to keep track of. Top that off with the abysmal aura changes. I'm surprised I'm still managing to kill anyone.
-
Some cosmetic outfits in the rift are recolors of older skins and I think that's ok, as long as it's just a few. I was actually super happy about the plague outfit recolor in the last rift, cause I didn't have that skin.
