  • Happy Turkey and Green Bean Casserole Day, everyone! As a fan of For Honor and Dark Souls, I am grateful for the addition of the Knight to the game. Unfortunately, while his visual design is top notch, there are currently issues with his power that make him A) very weak/easy to counter and B) make players use his power in an anti-loop way similar to 'The Artist' rather than the "strategic" killer

  • Halloween is just around the corner, and I've been thinking of what characters might get skins this year and what they might look like. So far on the killer side, the non-licensed killers without a Blight skin are Oni, Deathslinger, Twins, Trickster, Artist, and Dredge. I think it's about due time Twins get an awesome Blight skin considering they are really lacking in cosmetics (only 2 Very Rar

  • Why is Oni's Kanabo still the same? I was really expecting it to be something different, especially with such a huge collaboration and it being an ULTRA RARE skin that is LINKED. The utmost refusal to adjust certain killer weapons because it's their "power" is only holding creative ideas back. Halloween is coming soon, and I'm really hoping for a Twins Blight skin. But it's going to look incr

  • Quick question: Is intentionally NOT hooking the survivors and watching them bleed out reportable? Because I just had a group of survivors who tried to abuse Boil Over on Eyrie of Crows. I quite enjoyed slugging them and watching them all bleed out, but just want to make sure this form of retaliation won't get me banned.

  • The new Huntress Ultra Rare skin is incredible and I believe it sets the standard for those skins in the game. With a new idle animation, voice lines, and menu music it really feels worth the extra auric cells. My question is, are there any plans to update the older Ultra Rare skins with these features, or will this simply be something done going forward? I'm super happy Lisa and Cybil got uniq

  • I get it. You all don't want to allocate a ton of resources to make bots playable against 26+ killers. That is perfectly reasonable. Just let Killers load into a custom match with no survivors so they can practice blinks, chainsaw curves, hatchet throws, etc. without having to struggle through a bunch of ego-destroying matches. I cannot think of a reason why this would be difficult to implement.

  • This is the one part of the lore that doesn't make sense to me. How did a well-renowned mathematician somehow miss his own birthday being hidden in a code for all of his life until the day he was taken by the Entity?

  • Seems to me like this combo would put survivors in a lose-lose situation. Either do Bones and deal with the effects of Pentimento or don't do bones and get punished with NOED. Just curious if there is something I haven't thought. Also, not saying any lose-lose combo is automatically OP or unwinnable since others already exist like running BBQ and Iron Maiden.

  • Can't wait to see what is in store today! The teasers were very well done and after two great licenses I am ready for a new original chapter!

  • It reminds me so much of Sealing Jutsu: Reaper Death Seal from Naruto. Anyone else? Or does it look like something different to you? Hyped for the teasers and the forthcoming chapter!

  • I wanna start by saying I understand the devs want to make updates to the portraits to better reflect their in-game models. But I don't think these new portraits do the characters justice. In fact, I'd argue they are a disservice to the characters and to the players who have formed emotional attachments to them. In my opinion, the majority of the new portraits are a downgrade from their previou

  • Obviously, you could make some arguments and shuffle some killers around within a certain level, but I'm happy with it for the most part. What do you all think? :)

  • I'm glad it's not just me. I'm not seeing the same sentiment expressed in the comments all over their social media posts. People are really not happy with the state of the game. Since 2.0.0, chapter after chapter has been pushed for this game, introducing more and more bugs that accumulate on top of old ones still being worked on. It's going to reach a point where the dev team can no longer k

  • This chapter is yet another example that you all HAVE to prioritize game health and optimization. As much as I love DBD, it is the only game I can think of that has game-breaking bugs with every update. I can't even remember the last time a chapter had an overall smooth release. It has essentially become the norm for DBD, but this is NOT a normal thing for games, nor should players be expected t

  • I was pleasantly surprised to see the new Very Rare Pinhead skin is only 720 auric cells instead of 1080 since the headpiece is unchanged. While I am grateful for this fair pricing, it calls into question the pricing for the Very Rare skins for Jill and Leon. The heads on both of those outfits are also unchanged (they aren't even listed as separate heads in the store) yet they are sold at 1080 ce

  • For survivors: Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike For Killers: Corrupt Intervention and Pop Goes the Weasel Reasoning: These perks essentially act as band-aid fixes for core mechanics of the game. For survivors, it's getting tunneled and camped. For killers, it's gen speed and base gen regression. By making these perks base kit, it takes the focus off of them and players don't feel forced to mak

  • For me, they are more RNG than pig boxes. Sometimes they harass survivors in loops or block narrow hallways and give me free hits. Other times they run indefinitely into a tree in the corner of the map (I don't have much experience playing against Nemesis yet). Anyone know if devs intend to improve their AI in the future? Do certain add-ons like increased detection range make their AI better

  • Just had a match on it and all of the performance issues the game is currently suffering from are 10x worse on it. Anytime a gen was completed, a survivor dead harded, or someone was unhooked it would freeze the game and cause massive desync. I had been playing all evening as the same killer (Nemesis on PS4) across a multitude of maps, so it wasn't just a coincidence. It was a night and day d

  • Currently, the perk goes on a 60 second cooldown if you even tap the sabotage button by accident. I think this is really unnecessary and makes the perk vastly inferior to toolboxes.. There is no reason for the perk to go on cooldown unless you actually sabotage a hook.

  • "Reach maximum Mutation Rate 4 times". This requires you to play AT LEAST 4 games as Nemesis which is not a "daily" challenge. All other killer challenges can be done in one game, usually easily. Why not change it to, "hit 4 survivors with tentacle strike"? Much more reasonable.

  • 1. Will you still be able to earn the prestige cosmetic pieces for ST characters you own after the license expires? 2. Will Demogorgon keep his unique chase and lobby music? 3. Will demogorgon's mori stay the same?

  • A survivor messaged me after a game and said they knew where hatch was before it spawned because they "floated" on top of it while they were running. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures or video to back this up but it should definitely be looked into when the team has a chance.

  • You can really tell her animations were only made with her default skin in mind, most notably her default weapon. Her pallet/wall break animations and her weapon bob work well for her default sickle due to it's large size and shape. However, it all looks really clumsy or even downright sloppy with any other weapon equipped. The pallet/wall break animations don't really make sense (how do you brea

  • I was carrying a survivor to a hook and another survivor dropped a flashbang. I looked straight up because I thought they worked like firecrackers, but I was blinded anyway and the survivor was rescued. How should I try to outplay going forward?
23 comments 721 views last activity
  • ...honestly, I would much prefer if that was her mori instead of what we currently have for her. Obviously spoilers if you haven't seen it yet, but she whacks the guy upside the head with her censer, stabs him with a ritual knife while chanting a prayer, and then proceeds to beat him to death with the censer (while he somehow also burns to death as well?). In my opinion, she has a cooler kill

  • Seems to me like the devs are using glyph interactions to introduce new gameplay ideas without affecting the overall balance of the game since they are optional challenges. After seeing how the yellow glyph skill checks work, my thought was, "What if these skill checks were used for Snapping Out of It?" To me, they would fit really well with the overall theme since it's all about concentrating

  • Like the title says, Spirit currently cannot hear footsteps while phasing (making tracking for her very difficult). Just wanna see if anyone has insight on if it is indeed a bug or a shadow nerf. I can't find a straight answer on it.

  • After playing with these "buffs", I'm convinced there are no amount of changes that will ever make this killer good on console. Maybe PC players will have an easier time with him now, but even 6 blades still takes way too much time to do any meaningful damage, especially with the dumb recoil and spread still present. And now the knives decay even faster, instead of going with the community sugges

  • ...that I finished my grind on the rift early because holy #########, I do not want to play right now with how bad things are at the moment. Let me be clear, I LOVE DBD. I've been playing since it was free on PSN in 2018 and it remains my favorite online multiplayer game. But the state of the game right now is unacceptable and embarrassing. The lack of transparency is only making it worse.

  • From what I have seen so far a survivor who is contaminated will be covered in bright blue, cough and vomit the same as being infected by Plague, and be hindered a few seconds after becoming contaminated. I'm sure this will motivate stealthy survivors to vaccinate, but it seems to me that survivors who can loop well won't care about it and will just never vaccinate to make it harder for Nemesis

  • I'm putting my bets on Nemesis being the killer for the upcoming RE chapter just because he is so iconic to the series. I had some fun thinking up some potential powers that may suit him. Let me know what you think! Power #1: Advanced Weaponry Nemesis will wield either a minigun, flamethrower, rocket launcher, or some combination thereof as his power. The minigun: Has a wind-up before firin

  • He is still incredibly weak, even after 4.6.1, and the recoil is still very noticeable for console players. It's by far the most frustrating aspect of him. It takes too long to injure survivors even for PC players with good aim. At the moment, Trickster feels like a slap in the face to console players who will once again never be able to appreciate a killer due to the limited capabilities of a co

  • While it does seem better, it's still very noticeable for me on console. Trying to hit a juking survivor with 8 or more blades is already difficult enough but I'm still having to fight the recoil as well, especially at medium range. I want to know if this is the case for other console players as well and how manageable it is for PC players now. I'm wondering if it would be fair to remove his reco

  • I'm really excited for the Trickster to come to live, but I don't think there will be any reason to play him over other ranged killers right now. He has all the downsides of Huntress (being 110, reloading at lockers) and Plague (having to shoot a stream of projectiles consistently to deal one state of damage) with none of the benefits. If he was able to ricochet his blades at least once without

  • It's not even the UI itself. Despite the obvious downgrade that it is, I at least feel like I could get used to it. It's the fact that the team decided to change the UI when no one wanted it, put it on the PTB to get feedback a month before release, ignored the overwhelming majority of negative feedback, and released it (mostly) as is. THAT is the most frustrating part of the whole thing. I've lo

  • I normally have no problem defending and supporting the developers when things don't go right with the game. Making new content and ensuring it functions properly is a lot of work, especially in a game as complex as DBD. However, the amount of bugs and known issues in this patch is inexcusable. It should not have been released in its current state to save face if nothing else. Scott Jund said

  • I noticed for The Twins' body customization it only shows Charlotte's body. No sign of Victor. If this is intended, I think it's a huge oversight. Give people the option to pimp their baby killer!

  • Well, mostly. The teaser did have something to do with the new killer, but I was right in the sense that the teaser was intended to throw everyone off and make us think it was a Wendigo when it was actually something entirely different. 😁 https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/204095/a-different-perspective-on-the-chapter-18-teaser Can't wait to see what it's

  • Many people are theorizing the next killer is a Wendigo or something similar, but I am skeptical of this. I believe the Hag already fits the likeness of that niche very well. The Demogorgon is also a very animalistic creature that pounces on and shreds survivors, so I don't see how the new killer could be a wendigo of some sort without it being completely redundant of either of them. In typical

  • So Clown and Adam have lore-related cosmetic outfits and charms as part of the rift but no unlockable lore. They are also not "featured" as part of Tome V; only Hillbilly, Blight, and Nea are. I'm just curious about the decision behind this. Were they intended to have lore that was scrapped last minute to make room for the Halloween event? If so, it seems odd that it was decided to leave their ou

  • Here are my thoughts on it: Correct me if I'm wrong, but Torment Trails are the only killer power/status effect that survivors can outright deny for the killer. This was true for Plague until she got buffed but the scenario for her then is essentially the same for Pyramid Head now. Before her buff, survivors would rather stay sick and injured all game rather than give Plague corrupt purge. Curre

  • I'll try to hook someone but the hook animation doesn't start even after repeatedly pressing R1 (PS4). The survivor will either wiggle off or I'll be lucky enough to find another hook which will usually play the animation just fine. Seems to happen at least once per game.

  • Platform: PS4 Issue: I'm getting disconnected from more than half my games since the last patch went live. My matches are also noticeably laggier than normal since the last update. A few minutes into a match, I suddenly won't be able to interact with anything or a character will start running into a wall and the game becomes disconnected from the server. Because the match has already started,

  • When there is one generator left to be completed in the trial, the perk activates. As long as one dull totem remains on the map, the dull totem will become a hex totem. While the hex is active, the furthest generator of the remaining three generators will become blocked by the entity and highlighted in a white aura to the killer. This effect persists until the hex is cleansed.

  • What exactly makes it worthy of being a Legendary skin? It has no unique animations or sounds and his appearance changes very little between normal mode and demon mode (the least difference of any of his skins, actually). I was really hoping he would get a uniquely designed Kanabo, but I'm disappointed to see it is the same as the rest. I can understand more of why Lisa Garland was made a legen

  • There's been a lot of discussion of "boring" killers recently. Essentially, these are killers that are perceived as being too strong in a chase, leaving the survivor with little opportunity for counter-play. This further leads into a discussion of the 1v1 vs 4v1 issue: How do you balance 1 player having a fair chance of managing the actions of 4 other players while also making sure the interactio
