Just experienced this bug as well. Got 4 - 6 basement hooks with the challenge selected and received no progress. Was playing Deathslinger on Disturbed Ward using 3 Scourge Hook perks, including Monstrous Shrine.
-
Now they just need to add Pedro Pascal so the meme will never die.
-
I have to agree. Skull merchant is really bad and needs a complete rework. She's not very fun to play and horrible to play against.
-
A very balanced update. Both sides are upset so you know they addressed things relatively equally. As killer, I hated Boon: CoH and Dead Hard and as survivor, I felt the gen kick perks and were too strong and led to unnecessarily long and boring matches. They also listened to feedback and reverted the Hillbilly add-on nerfs and reverted altruistic healing back to 16 secs which was so crucial for the health of the game. So while it may not be everyone's favorite, I would say this update was very necessary for the long-term. Good job, BHVR!
-
OP, I would encourage you to readjust your mindset because what you wrote is very myopic. It was pretty much universally agreed the healing changes were way too harsh. Focusing on changing medkits was the right answer. Base kit healing as it is now has never been a problem, only self healing speed which has been addressed with this patch. DH gets max two uses and now de-incentivizes tunneling. SH: PR will still give good regression without having to kick gens but now having to chase multiple survivors. B: COH will no longer allow you to self heal without a med kit which was its biggest issue. Hillbilly will now feel better to play overall without his add ons being nerfed.
This update is pretty much nothing but positives. I will be singing BHVR's praises for really listening to the community on this crucial patch.

Assassin is the worst one imo, even at 110 he's still not good at getting hits without Knight there to babysit him, honestly I feel like Carnifex is better at doing that on account of the doubled chase duration.
Do you think making Assassin 115% would be a reasonable buff?
-
I have been wanting this in the game for so long and it's a dream to have it. Being able to practice a killer without the stress of a real game is a godsend. Thank you so much, dev team!
-
You're welcome!
At the same time, the art team has hard carried this game for years so it's not a big deal if every rift isn't an absolute hit. The nice thing about community skins is they're all fresh ideas which I'm sure is very helpful to people who have been doing it for years.
Plus, they may be cooking up some new bangers as we speak! I'm super excited for the community-voted Christmas skins because the Dredge one looked amazing.
-
Great list! I mostly agree with it other than I actually really like the Wraith skin and weapon (and I would put Artist at number 1). I would love to see you do this for future events/rifts as well as for the past ones if you haven't already.
It's kinda sad the community skins are the best ones in the rift though...
-
How do you earn them and can you earn them as any character?
-
He still sucks, especially on console. I do just fine with Huntress and Deathslinger but I can't hit a survivor directly in front of me with Trickster because of the unnecessary recoil.
-
My man needs some propylthiouracil for his hyperthyroidism lol.

The change to the grab detection area on survivor was not a bug fix, that's an actual killer change, hence not listed on the bug fix section of the patch notes. So yes, that's considered to be a buff as it has increased the detection area from the release of the Chapter on Live.
And I'm happy that people are finding that the 30cm grab detection zone feels better - it's definitely something we changed based on the feedback we received.
This is very much appreciated! I play on console, and I was going straight through survivors despite being dead on with their character model. I look forward to trying him out and seeing if it feels more consistent.

I imagine the reason they don't have customizable powers/objects is so players can recognize those objects immediately or because not every killer has a physical object for their power.
I'd love to see Blighted Dredge and Oni. With how monstrous they both are, amplifying that would be insane. Blighted Artist would probably be dripping orange ink instead of normal ink. Trickster would probably look like the monster he really is on the inside. Deathslinger could end up looking like a dried up corpse with a noose around his neck. (Though that could be considered controversial)
What I really want are some more Blighted Licenced characters. It's about time we got a Blighted Myers skin.
Yeah, I imagine it's more so the second reason. Myers would be a great example for a power you can't really customize, so it wouldn't be consistent across all killers. But I still they are limiting themselves creatively if that's the reason. Also, I love your ideas! I've been eagerly awaiting a Blighted Oni skin since he's one of my mains. But he's also another character that I think they could customize more for. I've been irritated they haven't customized his kanabo for his Ultra Rare skins (seriously, a minotaur with a Japanese weapon?) and I'm worried the same will apply to his Halloween skin.
I imagine not everyone would like this, but imagine if Myers' face was replaced by the pumpkinhead seen on the original Halloween poster?

I'm really not sure why they're so reluctant to add cosmetics to powers, I can't see how it would change gameplay in anyway. I want my bunny suit Victor damn it!
Or imagine for their recent skin if Victor had a matching Tricorne, or a little pirate hat?
-
Out of all the perk changes (which I am overall very excited for) this one seems unnecessary. You pretty much never see this perk run with SWFs because it already takes so long when they can just find a teammate, it's mostly for solo queue players. Self care is very appealing for solo queue because it gives them a way to take care of themselves if they can't rely on their team. I don't think that should be taken away from them, otherwise solo queue is going to be an even worse experience. I think self care is fine the way it is.

There's only one at a time, but it will respawn shortly after when someone takes it. They move frequently as well, so make sure to recheck areas you've already searched.
Question: Can you play either role to unlock all 12 masks or is it only 6 for each role?

@Pepsidot said:
I've played on it quite a few times, seems fine to me.
I've still not gotten it. Plenty of Dead Dawg, Coal Tower, Ironworks of Misery, etc. Almost all the maps I've gotten are the boosted ones from last week. >:(
-
Same. I skipped the results screen after my 5th game out of habit. Do I need to do another 7 or just 3 more for 7 total?
-
@Veinslay said:
I'm a killer main and I get like 95% killer daily rituals so I don't think it's related to which side you play less
Same. I would assume it's either RNG or they really just need more killer players compared to survivors.
-
What do you mean OP? Having to go all the way up the stairs to snuff the totem on Ironworks of Misery otherwise the survivors all have infinite self care is totally fair and balanced!
-
Trickster's unnecessary recoil and spread (at least on console).
-
As much as I love Slipknot, they have no place in DBD. I'm sure the dev team could make a cheeky charm or something to show their appreciation if they're fans, but they do not fit as killers or survivors.

Jesus i did it first try, its really not hard.
Not helpful or constructive. Don't be a doo-doo head.

I'm in agreement with the majority. It denies optional interaction between players at the end of a game, which sometimes leads to the most hilarious and memorable moments. Making every 4K game end in an automatic mori would make games incredibly predictable and boring. Just make yellow mori equivalent base kit to give the killer the option, and if they want to use it THEN it will transport the mori animation to a pre-determined portion of the map. That is literally all that needs to be done.
-
Yes, they ensure I am guaranteed to waste at least some points on every bloodweb.
-
It has to be low because you can stack it with perks like Blood Pact or Hope and be faster than the killer. And it affects all survivors within the radius. And even 2% could mean the difference between making a pallet or not.
-
I still enjoy it most of the time, but I find myself playing it less and less. CoH is really unfun to go against as killer, especially if they're a SWF.
-
Yeah, if the killer had a bad game and there's no one to save or heal, just leave. They don't want the extra BP or your pity. Just leave and get the game over with for both sides.
-
Sadako is basically BHVR giving old Freddy back. Not exactly the same, obviously, but pretty close. Especially if your run a bunch of aura-reading perks.
-
Not sure if this has already been said, but does anyone think CoH would be more fair if it boosted healing speed, but only for healing others? So it would basically work like botany knowledge, but requires at least 2 survivors to take advantage. That way there's no unlimited self care unless someone brings self care as one of their perks.
-
Cawmy Mommy?
-
The devs won't ever do that because it's way too many debuffs being stacked and would be really overwhelming for new players.
I personally think they just need to tweak the values:
2 stacks of condemned gained when the Onryo emerges from a TV
A stacks of condemned is gained for every 25 seconds a survivor holds a tape.
A survivor loses 3 stacks of condemned from entering a tape into the proper TV.
All three would probably be a bit much but if they went with any combinatiin of 2 out of the 3 I think that would put condemned in a better spot.
-
How about just killswitch it because the map is awful for both sides?
-
Agreed. Probably gonna make it the last challenge of level 2 I do and then just hope I get a killer that wants to farm.
-
I refuse to play on it as either role. I loved RE2 remake but it was implemented so horribly for this game.

Because money. That's literally it.
I don't think that's the reason because more people would buy the skin, or at least pieces of it, if it wasn't a set. They're kind of shooting themselves in the foot on this one, money-wise.
-
This, the Nemesis daily change, and the Ghost Face daily change have all been fantastic. Thank you, devs, for taking player feedback into account and making some of the more frustrating dailies much easier to accomplish.

@GlamourousLeviathan said:
For those of you who don't know, Pyramidhead's daily quest is to send 4 survivors to cages. My problem with this is that it can get really annoying since a lot of survivors prefer going down than getting tormented. The thing is that you have no agency if survivors are getting tormented or not, so most of the time you are playing more games than you should while trying to complete this quest. To make matters worse, the Final Judgment doesn't count to this daily.
My suggestion would be to make the quest be about hitting the Punishment of the Damned attack, as it is something you actually have control of. If you don't want this suggestion, at least make it so that the Final Judgment counts to the daily, since it makes no sense not being that way.
Thank you for making this thread, which ended up getting the daily reduced from 4 to 2! I would normally trash this daily because it would take easily 2 - 3+ games to get 4 cages. With only needing 2 now, I may start doing this daily again. Your impact on the game and community is very much appreciated!
-
I would have preferred a different change entirely. I just don't think the wiggle progress on drops is a good effect. But at least it will be less abuseable and this was changed rather quickly. Good job, BHVR.

LoL joke, basically they nerfed a character in that game before because "if you were good as them they were a monster"
Ah, I see. Thank you!

I'm not sure what "Aur Sol'd" means

Would be cool but it will not happend lol because almost no one plays them = few people would buy it hah.
True. Devs did say they are looking at Twins in the distant future though. Maybe after they get a redemption arc that makes them more fun, more people will play them = more reason to give them skins people will buy.
-
I'm glad they listened to those who called them out for false advertising. That being said, I think I did prefer it without makeup.

oh sorry i confused ultra rare with legendary. uh i pick slinger
Yeah, they changed it a while back. I guess Legendary now applies to licensed skins and Ultra-Rare for originals. Slinger would be a great choice!

What a coincidence this "bug" got "fixed" right on the heels of the Boil Over buff. Maybe next bug patch we'll see a "fix" for a lack of hooks on the second floor building for Eyrie of Crows.

Not sure if trolling or just new to the game.

He already has one. I'd rather they update his Minotaur one with some unique voice lines and a different weapon to replace his kanabo.
-
Twins since they really need a new skin in general. They've had a grand total of 1 whole skin since their release.
-
I would agree, or it needs to increase the duration of Blood Fury. Something to make up for the wasted time from purposely missing demon strikes.
