I like your ideas, but I see why others may think it's too much. It would also have a similar issue to Myers' power. If one weak link feeds him too much, it screws everyone else over. So if Nemesis were to keep contaminating the same survivor and they keep vaccinating, Nemesis would just use them as a battery and get to max tier really fast.
-
It definitely helped him. He isn't weaker than he used to be, but I think it still left much to be desired. The yellow bottles give him more options and a higher skill ceiling, but they really only help in chase which isn't what he needed help with. Map pressure is still his biggest flaw. At least his reload is much better now.
-
Pretty much what everyone else has said. His camera FOV and limited turning made him awful for console. He is much more user-friendly for those players now. Once they iron out his sliding issues, I think he will be in a mostly perfect spot. A strong, fun killer with a high skill ceiling that still has counterplay. The only thing that may need to be addressed is some of his add-ons.
-
Cool idea! I think NOED or bloodwarden cap it off perfectly!
-
They need to stop making new chapters until they can iron out performance issues, but that would hurt their short term profits so they don't care enough to think of the longevity of the game.
-
Really hope whatever they are working on actually fixes all the current issues the game has.
-
@Pulsar I more than agree. We should not still be having optimization problems at this point. But I've seen multiple devs comment specifically that they are aware and working on the current console freeze issues, so complaining more isn't going to make it any better.
EDIT
Again, I'm talking about THIS specific issue. Not the fact that console has had substandard optimization for years.
-
The dev team is more than aware and working to find solutions. Been confirmed multiple times. I'm a console player too, so I know how much it sucks. Just gotta wait for them to figure it out
-
Yes, they will. You can prestige and earn the bloody outfits past the end date. They confirmed this on Twitter. I had the same question.
-
@MandyTalk Just wanted to say thank you so much for taking the time to answer everyone's concerns. I know there have been a lot, but it really goes a long way. :)
-
The lab was never my favorite from a gameplay perspective. But they absolutely nailed it on making it a gorgeous map with so many little Easter eggs and references to the ST universe. It will be sorely missed for that reason alone. I can't imagine how the level designers feel knowing all of their hard work creating it will no be able to be enjoyed by everyone.
-
Flashbangs are currently the strongest thing in the game at the moment because my screen literally freezes for 2-3 seconds on top of being blinded and stunned every time one is used. Might as well call the perk atom bomb.
-
Getting my archive
-
The only killer powerful enough to take on the entity
-
Optimization. Complain about balance all you want, none of it matters if the game doesn't function properly to begin with.
-
These are the buffs I live for.
-
Seems like the consensus I'm hearing is turn your back and walk the other way until the explosion. I'll try that next time and see if it works. Thanks to everyone for the feedback!
-
Maybe switch the rarities of the iri gen aura reading add-on and the All-Seeing Blood? It would be closer to other double-iri add-on combos other killers have.
-
Trickster. He's a giant middle finger to console players.
-
*Goku shows up*
Bunny Feng! I heard you're pretty strong. Wanna fight?

Lol, did you even read what I wrote?

If we are just talking about content of the chapter (not which chapter broke the game the most), I say Nightmare on Elm Street.
Freddy was a bottom-tier killer for years. He's much better now, but is kinda boring and one-note for me. Quentin is a very boring and forgettable survivor skin, in my opinion.
Almost all perks from both sides are borderline useless. Only redeemable ones are Bloodwarden and Pharmacy, and even then they're still a bit niche.
There are certainly worse maps than Badham Preschool, but how good of a game you have as killer all depends on how much survivors abuse the main building and the house of pain.
I would say Darkness Among Us, but Jeff is my survivor main soooooo...

RPD being removed would be nice, but I feel like there's better ways to fix RPD. I personally want them to just split the map in half, so that we have two RPDs in smaller size. The RPD we have is too big honestly.
I think this would be a reasonable idea. Call them RCPD - East Wing and RCPD - West Wing. Doesn't fix how byzantine the map is for DBD gameplay or how pallets are either God-tier or joke-tier with no in-between, but at least the map wouldn't be atrociously big on top of it.

When trapper exist in his current form only he can be the worst
Nah, I can get 3 or 4 kills easily with Trapper. I'm lucky if I get one kill with Trickster. He's rough on console.
-
The biggest issue the game has is optimization, especially for console. None of the above matters if you can't even play the game to begin with.
-
Hey, guess what? Frame rate is still terrible when you use pretty much any killer power. Guess there's always next update, right?
-
It's a combination of things really. Keys don't bother me per se, the survivor may have an Archive challenge like "escape through the hatch". It's when there are one or multiple keys with a Haddonfield offering and the survivors are obviously very good, they just want an easy match or to bully the killer.
-
C'mon, let's see Trapper with Dwight's dorky glasses and a tie!
-
Or even better, KILLERS IN SURVIVOR COSPLAY.
-
Because it would make the grind bearable and BHVR can't have that.
-
Trickster. Trickster. And Trickster. He is nowhere close to B or even C-tier just because you got a 4K with him. He does nothing better than Huntress of Deathslinger and he's 110% so you can't even M1 reliably with him, even though that's what you're forced to do most of the time.
-
Same thing for me. Also, I'm seeing the Adrenaline icon in place of other survivor perk notifications on the HUD.

i haven't found a yellow glyph yet can you please tell me what they do
They are a short burst of continuous skill checks
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
For some things (Overcharge, BNPs) those Skill Checks might be good. But not for Snap out of it. IMO Snap out of it-Skillchecks should be as easy as possible.
Not everyone is a veteran player and if a new Survivor plays against Doctor and gets those Skill Checks, they might not be able to snap out. And missing Skill Checks for e.g. Overcharge are one thing, but Madness 3 prevents from playing the game, so it should not be that hard to snap out of it. (At least for newer players those will be very hard to hit)
That's a fair point. Newer players would definitely have a harder time with those skill checks. I wonder if their could be a way to make it tied to your MMR? If below a certain threshold, you get the easier skill checks, and if above you get the more difficult ones.
-
I've given up on him. Unless you play against potatoes, it's a guaranteed depip. A controller can't do what is needed to be accurate due to the spread and recoil as well as a lack of controller settings.
But honestly, he still sucks even on PC so what he really needs is a complete rework.

When legion and Myers exist trickster will never be the worst
I would take Legion, Myers, or even perkless, addonless Trapper over Trickster right now. He is laughably bad for console players.
-
I have no confidence in it. I'll happily eat my words if I'm wrong.
-
I really wish they gave Victor some claws or something with a cosmetic. It would look a lot more believable than pouncing on survivors with his Itty bitty baby-sized fingers.
-
Not playing right now. The blood points and crowns aren't worth it. Hopefully the mid-chapter patch fixes at least most of the console issues.
-
I have enough stress in my life right now. If a game is just going to make me frustrated because it isn't working, then I'm just going to play something else. Very disappointed in a chapter and event I was really looking forward to.
-
Does it have to be a rainbow map or can it be a green map?
-
I wish I cared about them...
Honestly, I wouldn't feel any pride wearing them right now with the state DBD is in. I have 4th anniversary crowns and I am much more proud to wear those instead. I also just think they look better. The new crowns aren't that much different and seem a bit lazy in design.
-
I didn't think of that! I'll need to try it myself when I get it unlocked!
-
Yeah, BHVR even mentioned in their anniversary stream that they've created a vast and rich world full of interesting characters to explore.
They need to hold themselves to that and focus on game health after this upcoming chapter. No amount of new content will continue to hold players if game performance is too frustrating to be fun.
-
Don't use both of them at the same time; it's redundant and will hurt you. Say you spawn on the opposite side of the map from the survivors and the three gens furthest from you (meaning the closest to them) are blocked. You see their auras and immediately head over to start chase. The other survivors are just going to rotate to the opposite side of the map and start working those gens, meaning corrupt really does nothing for you except maybe give you a 3 gen to defend at the end. So after two minutes, you're down 2 perks and all you've done is start chase early (which is good, don't get me wrong) and forced survivors to rotate a bit. Bit of a waste if you ask me.
-
I gave up on him long before you did. I can get better results with addonless Trapper compared to Trickster. I was so hyped for him when he was announced but his power is just awful.
-
Yeah, I farmed that one. Some challenges just aren't worth the time to do them legitimately.
-
@Superyoshiegg said:
Well if they don't vaccinate, they're easier to find when hiding, and are way more vulnerable to zombies and Nemesis' ranged attack.
@Seraphor said:
His ranged attack cannot injure a healthy survivor. You can only be injured by the tentacle if you're contaminated. So it is essentially a third health state unless he's close enough for a punch.
@Kebek said:
The downside is the same as Freddy's his power now affects you. Beiing uncontaminated means you have 3 health states vs his power which is extremely stronf if utilised properly.
You all make a good point. I didn't think about the fact that Nemesis basically has to hit you 3 times unless he only goes for M1s. But it's relatively easy to gets hits with his power through pallets and windows. It may actually be somewhat balanced.
-
I'm on console as well. I wouldn't say you need to message someone every game, but if you think someone played well then go for it. I mainly play killer and I leave my messages open. It sucks getting toxic message but I can always delete or block those. It's worth it for those occasional nice messages. :)
-
Because they are still in development? It's just the PTB. Not everything is finished yet.
