Same could be said about certain map offerings. I dont want to load into Haddonfield or badhamen right away before I've loaded into the game its already going to be a rough game. Do I consider map offerings scummy no but to I think it suck yup. Or how about first chase equals 3 gens you think that's fun for the killer? Thats 60% of the survivor objective when the killer has only done about 8% of there's.
If there's only 2 gens left in the trial and 4 survivors someone is leaving the game if thats the first 2 minutes of the game thats on the survivors for setting the pace of the game and I now have to match that pace.
At least you get to play the game as killer. This isn't the case for the person that gets facecamped until they die.

Its all just assumptions.
Not every player who brings a flashlight is trying to be an antagonistic clicker etc etc.
Players need to stop making this game some kind of personal attack at them just because they got camped. The only person who can ruin your fun is you.
Its only a game. If you get camped then just queue up again and move on. The number of people who send messages post game claiming I must be angry or upset because I chose to camp at some point is ridiculous.
Defending a hook can often be a good play moreso in the current boon age. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't and its up to the player to decided when and how if they do.
Yeah sometimes I get a lil tired of the loopy chase mechanic and have a chill killer game where I sit on a hook. There is nothing wrong with that.
This is true. I have no way to know what the killer is thinking, but I just find it very scummy to facecamp someone at the very beginning of the game. It's not a good feeling as survivor to load into a game, then be unable to play because of this. I really hope the devs come up with a good solution to fix the problem.
-
No. I play the same way with every killer.

No one has a problem with different opinions bro. But in a debate you actually have to justify and back up your opinions as well. You can't just say "Dead Hard is fine lol" and expect to not get laughed at by the people who are posting multiple paragraphs of arguments, not to mention video evidence.
Anyways Im literally going to bed now can't keep this up
Debates are fine, but a lot of nasty/rude posts have been made, and that’s the problem here.

I figured it out, I realized he never once said how many hours he has on killer, just that he is 6k on DBD. The guy is probably a 5500+ survivor main, that would explain why he is so stubborn and very obviously biased. Yeah you're wasting your time talking to this guy, people like him can never be reasoned with, God could literally come out of heaven in front of him and he would still deny he exists, he is that type of person.
Can we just stop with these ridiculous posts? It is very childish. Just because he has different opinions doesn’t mean he mains survivor or is some troll. I have similar opinions as him and I play both sides equally.

Just because you guys think DH isn't balanced doesn't mean it isn't. I play killer like you guys and I don't have issues with it. It can be annoying sometimes, but that's about it.

Or maybe there is one of the archive challenges that wants you to sacrifice x amount of Survivors, so they maybe just wanted to finish their challenge without much effort.
This happens almost every time I face LF. That's probably not the reason.

That's awesome! Congrats!

Most of them probably do it to ruin the camped survivor(s) game. They don't care about BP, pips, etc.

Yes it would be a big downgrade from the current dead hard but this change would keep the strongest aspect of the perk which would be for distance. I don't think there will be too big of a net loss
I guess it could be tested, but I personally don't like the change.

Well couldn't the solution be to just scrap the dead hard validation and make it so that your not immune to damage and just keep the distance use. This solution solves the fake hit issue and "fix mistakes" issue.
The perk would be terrible. No thanks. I hate the fake hits (more annoying than anything), but I think DH is fine.
-
Killer is pretty balanced right now. I don't really think it's as hard as some people here say. I usually do much better as killer than survivor 😆

Yeah I'm trying not to lose my fluff with this gentleman.
Seriously, he pops up in a ton of threads going 'no I main that killer, x is totally fine/needs nerf'.
This isn't Pulsar or GBK or someone who will actually try and defend his perspective either.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2663249#Comment_2663249
Okay.
Let me see if I can rephrase this, because I'm not sure if you are understanding.
Shifting the validation of Dead Hard now means that, if you time DH perfectly, the killer will get the 'hit' visuals and audio cue and will lose vision of the survivor. However, no hit applies. It can also be used to interfere with some killer powers - for example, you drop a pallet. Nemesis uses his tentacle strike. Without Dead Hard, you'd either get smacked or the pallet would be broken. However, if you DH at the correct moment, the 'fake hit' prevents both.
This likely cannot be fixed, because it's just the old 'exhausted on ground' problem but with the issue shifted to the killer. Thus, Dead Hard has to be balanced around the 'bug'.
I think that does need fixed. Not sure if they can though.
-
@StarLost said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2663235#Comment_2663235
No, it's DH that ties the whole mess together. It's a zero risk, massive reward 'I-Win' button frequently that amounts to a near permanent third health state. And that's before you factor in the fake hits.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2663227#Comment_2663227
*Rubs temples*.
Okay, explain this to me.
How is the 'fake hit' bug okay?
I never said bugs were fine (at least not that I remember). I was only saying I believe DH is fine, that's it. All bugs need to be addressed.

Mate, no offense but all of your 'x thing is fine, I main that killer no rly' posts make me think of Elmer Fudd wearing a rabbit disguise.
Be vewwy vewwy quiet...I'm hunting Pinheads!
Or Sluzzy. Which is not a good thing.
Seriously, there's having 'an unpopular opinion' and there's thinking a pretty obnoxious, occasionally game-breaking bug is perfectly okay.
Either they need to fix fake hits (likely impossible) or DH will have to be rebalanced accordingly. It's too strong for it's cooldown at present and artificially reduces survivor builds as a consequence. Playing without DH is just playing the game 'wrong' at present, and that's a sign that balance is squiffy.
Nothing else I can really say. It's perfectly fine in my opinion.

Oh they can keep No Ed. Just "do bones".
It's funny how killer mains want to find an excuse for their BS perks and playstyles but when it comes to survivors they will use the most anecdotal/applicable evidence to fit their arguments. Especially on these forums.
Yep. I think a lot of threads made by obvious killer players are pretty funny.

Nearly every streamer I've ever watched are in agreement that DH is too powerful in the right hands, particularly used for distance.
It's not even up for debate if its strong or not, literally every Survivor and their dogs are running it.
I never said it wasn't strong. Streamers can be wrong.

Wraith is far from perfect.
He was perfect prenerf - still a solid 'B' tier but could at least do decently if you played him right. Just revert it and he'll be okay.
Now he's just...ugh. Can't play him anymore. Too easy to loop, if I don't build around CoH every single game I'm a goner if it shows up.
He was a bit too powerful before his nerf. I feel like he is in a good spot right now.

On low/intermediate MMR, it's okay.
Against people who know how to use it effectively to cause 'fake hits' and immediately drop chase/stop you from breaking a pallet on Nemmy, it's decidedly not fine.
It was the most meta of meta perks before the 'fix' (see: buff). Now it can be overwhelming.
I disagree. I have no problems with it as killer.
-
Wraith is perfect right now. No nerfs/buffs are needed.
-
Agree with this post. DH is fine.

-
None. I don't play scummy.

I don't really think anything can be done about it. You'll just have to play killers that counter this playstyle. This is on the devs for creating all those anti-loop killers.

It's bad when you auto-lose because you picked a lower tier killer instead of a top tier one.
That's just it... You don't auto lose. I main Legion/Pig and I usually do well.
-
Let me just say... I love you. This post is so spot on. Killer really isn't that bad.
-
@RainehDaze said:
You're really not doing a good job of explaining why this is bad. Except "it's not fun".
You know what also isn't fun? Zero chain hunts because of the aforementioned "not enough time to even consider pressuring it" part.
And "if Pinhead employs a strategy to keep his passive going and uses that as a way to down survivors" is an undesirable strategy, you honestly might as well remove the character. Because you've staked your position on Pinhead effectively utilising his passive being a bad thing. That the character whose asset is his 1v4 pressure leading into easier 1v1s and winning, should not be able to play around that and should focus on 1v1's instead.
Which is a frustrating combination with the regular "everything is so stale and same-y" threads.
I don't think I really need to go into detail why this isn't fair/fun. It's pretty obvious why people hate it (if you've played against it), and why the devs changed it. I'm fine with them buffing him in other ways, but that combo needed a change.
-
@fogdonkey said:
Had a match against a hoarder+franklin pinhead with +6 seconds solve time addons. It was not fun, we were in constant chain hunt and were never able to solve the cube. Pinhead always found us and took the cube.
This is exactly what I was talking about. It's something that absolutely shouldn't be in the game. I'm fine with buffing him in other ways, but that build/addons needed changed.
-
@RainehDaze said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2658433#Comment_2658433
And what isn't fair about it...?
Like, if you've dedicated half your build (addons, perks) specifically to prioritising being able to keep mapwide 1v4 pressure, as the killer is designed to be good at, and then you manage to do that, then that's fair! It could be your bog standard gen regression build and "how can I get one hit downs" to achieve the same sort of thing, but instead you're playing around Pinhead's strengths.
And the counter is either leading Pinhead on a merry chase whilst gens are solved (since someone having the box does stop all sort of gen pressure and chain hunt), or--as with basically everything else--co-ordination. He can't chase and down everyone. And at some point, somebody needs to be hooked.
Then as soon as the box is solved, half that build does nothing for approximately the next two minutes. And Pinhead has 0 map pressure and is harder to play, somewhat worse Clown. That's fair.
Again, it's not fair. Pinhead can literally keep chain hunt active making it extremely hard to do anything (gens, healing, looping, etc). Not fair or fun. My opinion isn't changing. He needed these nerfs.
-
@RainehDaze said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2658215#Comment_2658215
Why shouldn't it be possible, on a small map, with two perks dedicated to being able to do that, and a build for it, and a Pinhead player prioritising the box?
Between this and "Pinhead can always teleport in time", it just feels like people really don't think that a killer should be able to use their power without survivor permission.
Because it's not fair? It shouldn't be a thing. I main Pinhead, and I think it's a good thing.
-
I agree with him.
-
@Pulsar said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2658215#Comment_2658215
So, you'd agree that we need to buff his base power now.
He literally takes the skill of Nurse for the reward of Clown.
Pinhead is one of the killers I main, so I wouldn't mind a buff. I feel like he is pretty balanced tho.
-
The addons that made it take longer to solve the box needed the changes 100%. It was just too much when paired with hoarder/franklins (especially on small maps). It shouldn't be possible to keep chain hunt going all game. Most unfun thing I've played against in this game. I'm fine with the other changes as well.

Just play for fun instead of trying to get kills. Your MMR will drop as well.

Better than just “masks”, if you ask me. It’d be a win-win, wouldn’t it?
Nope, not for the people that liked the masks and worked to unlock them. It's a silly thing to remove (if they decide to).

Solo survivor is way less miserable and way more powerful than killer. We can't just balance off of bad teammates or being able to 1v1 the killer.
I disagree with that a lot. Killer is more powerful than solo survivors.
