Not people fault. Its entirely devs fault.
I wish i could play Legion or Pig in my current MMR. The truth is i cant, unless i enjoy masochism.
-
She B tier at best. Nurse spirit huntress are far better.
-
If you have a high MMR like me and play like a slob you get two possible guarantee situations at the end..
- You won't kill anyone, but you don't get teabaged etc.
- You won't kill anyone and get teabaged and insulted in game chat.
Yeah playing chill as killer is a viable choice... not really. You either play tryhard or you won't even get a single kill.
The killers job is to kill if you don't get at least 1 or 2 kills you did wrong and not because you must, because it feels like it and the game make you of that, how?
- You didn't kill anyone? Entity displeased
- You didn't kill anyone? Survivors get cocky and mock in chat.
Now if you think about DBD as Hello kitty online, where you don't have to kill anyone then play chill. But DBD is not hello kitty neither a chill game and never was.
Now if you play as you should which is tryharding you get:
- Satisfaction for killing, rank and more BP.
- A heavenly silent end game chat were no one even say gg.
What do you prefer? My choice is clear.

It takes away killers being able to slug, so if they need to slug to win, they just lose now. It also stacks with Unbreakable, so you're recovering at 40% increased speed. Couple that with being forced to slug because of flashlights, and that's basically a free self-pickup for the survivor. This could make Soul Guard meta.
It's another perk that boost SWF in conclusion, which is bad for the game balance. And since boons can be relit infinitely and in the same spot..
-
There are losers everywhere.. i can understand cheating in a single player game it can be fun, but in an online game.. bothering everyone else, lying to yourself.. because they aren't good if they are cheating, this people have serious issues. I wish we had a better anti cheat.
We can only "detect" the obvious visible hacks, but how many people is there playing with a 5% or 3% increased speed to not get so noticed, wallhacks and more shits we don't even imagine?
-
Her power isn't good enough when facing any competent survivor not just SWF. But yeah if you are chasing someone and another guy is following and destroying your crows it sucks even more.

Killer definitely isn't for everyone. I still love playing killer and I think it's pretty balanced. Hope you have fun with survivor.

She isn't weak. Crow lady isn't the best killer in the game, but she's not bad at all. She is pretty good if played correctly.
The only thing she does good is scare people from loops. But there are many loops in a map and most of them connect to each other..
Truth is, she's only good on paper, on practice she's that old grumpy grandma who don't want the children to play in her yard.
-
SWF, MMR, DH validation, the grind. In that order.
-
When you look at Hex: Pentimento you know how biased the devs are.
Boons = Can be relit indefinitely and gives massive bonuses.
Hex pentimento = Cannot revive already revived totems and gives minor debuffs. Also if the hex was blessed instead of cleansed you can't do anything at all making this perk even more useless.
-
You are not wrong shes kinda disappointing in high mmr.. survivors learned to play against her really fast. Shes below a huntress in a tier list.
-
Labor of greed it's more adequate ๐
-
It is, there are too many loops and safe pallets that also connect each other. Devs being themselves.. i doesn't surprise me.
-
In high MMR the game is so survivor sided that it's not enjoyable as killer, and on the other hand solo q is also a horrible experience. So yeah the game is broken, there is no balance in any aspect.
-
Shes not weak but definitely not overpowered as some people think.
Her counter is easy, just going to another loop if she set crows and repeat. She gets a big slowdown while setting crows so going from loop to loop its the way to play againts her.
And lets be real, there are continued loops and pallets everywhere so most of the times her ability to shut down one loop at a time its not a big deal.
-
Kinda meh and boring.. for both sides.
You put crows in a loop and the survivors just go away to another loop, so the counter is just going full W.
-
Looks good but this is literally haddonfield 2.0. Its very survivor sided, plenty of pallets and loops. This map needs serious balance tweaks.
-
Againts SWF its challenging. But againts randoms its really easy as a walk in the park.
-
Im tired of people DCing, the horrible MM that only benefit SWF, and the huge cheating problem. I think this 3 things are more important than just an overused perk.
-
Yeah they need to nerf SWF and buff Solo. But i doubt it could happen someday its more easy to say than do it.
-
As a solo player you rarely get to the end game. Most of the times all your team die or you die because of hard tunnel and camping since last patches. So.. noed not an issue.

Yeah, I went on a 75 game 4K streak with Legion at Rank 1 two years ago
I could probably do it again, but I might get more DC's than Kills.
Those times ended. Legion is.. not viable right now, i don't think anyone could do big 4k streak with him.

I can see how your original comment would be misconstrued except it is under a post all about solo survivor so that should apply enough context
Or just reading the whole post to understand ๐. I guess some people simply stop reading when they see something they don't like.

What you said was "and killers with their 4k most of the time" or something extremely similar. Even when in swf, which makes it seem, at least to me, that your saying even with an inherent advantage killer stomps you. Which most would use as a talking point to say killer op.
But the rest of what you said is right, I'm just ensuring that people don't take your point and use it as a basis for saying killer op, which has happened way to many times in the past.
Its not hard to understand the context of my post and Its not a lie or an exageration to say that killers get 3 or 4k most of the times when playing againts 4 randoms, it happens and everyone can notice it while playing solo Q or killer. Just when SWF show up is when the tides turn drastically to survivor so i don't think anyone has misunderstood my earlier posts.
-
What you are experiencing is games againts SWF (4 coordinated survivors with comms) and games againts 4 random people.
When SWF go to sleep the game is slighly killer sided thats why you get easier matches. But when SWF are up the game is survivor sided. This is the main problem of DBD, having two different games inside one.
-
I wonder if they will add an event tome for christmas like they did for halloween. I like this kind of events, its similar to the old ones where you could unlock skins.

Yeah, but the last comment is a slight, although idk if you meant it that way it came of as a slightly more veiled "killer op cus kill rate high" comment. Which I've seen plenty of.
And your experience is quite bad then, I play mostly solo queue survivor or killer depending on the mood I'm in. If I feel like I want to chill I'll play survivor, it's less stressful for me, and if I want to play and hone my killers I'll play killer.
I escape a good 60% or more of my games, and most of those are at least 2 man escapes. So I think I do rather ok. But that's just my experience. Now there has been absolute stomps on both sides. But usually it's balanced.
Im far from saying "killers are op, pls nerf" lol. The truth is that solo Q and SWF are two different DBD games thats what i was telling.
And yup even if you die, survivor is always more chill than killer. I play both sides too and i know how frustrating can be to go againts SWF squads most of the times and be forced to play a limited killer roster.
Back to the topic, my Solo Q experience is: i end dying with the most bloodpoints, I carry the team, or very few times i escape.. i feel that the SBMM doesn't work as it should, and the increment of killers camping and tunneling from hook 1 because of the recent patches don't help either.
That's why i think the devs should do something to reduce the gap between SWF and solo Q. Because SWF is not balanced, and the difference is pretty big.

Its not the average "kill count", it's the average "death count" and whilst these sound the same they're very different.
The kill count is just how many people the killer killer either by hooking or bleeding out.
The death count includes those who DC'd and suicide. Not that the killer got those kills, but more that the survivor (s) gave up and left inflating the supposed "kill rate".
Are you new to the forums, because everyone who brings up these stats gets told this.
Really irrelevant to what i said. Im just saying how my games as a solo q survivor end, usually.
-
If I catch the last survivor trying to open the exit gates and he gives me an offering i accept it and let him go. But I don't accept t-bags or signs, only items.
-
It would be interesting if there was some "only solo q" benefits to reduce the gap between swf. I play only solo q and yup boons are not as broken as if swf use them and it help, although 3 or 4k is still the average kill counts of killers most of the times, that.. didn't change much ๐

Jill's voice is so onomatopoeic you can hear it if I just type HYAAAA
Yup that the exact sound when shes hooked ๐
But it's ok and i definitely prefer not my eardrums to blow up. They need to tweak down Claire scream.

Not using Jill's voice is more than enough reason to get the skin, especially since I had leftover cells
Claire voice is horrible, the scream she makes when hooked its so sharp that can damage your ears.

I won't get her unless they do. At least I am happy with how Jill and Leon turned out.
Not a fan of how Chris looks like tho lol.
You are not the only one,I didn't buy her because of that too. Behaviour sold the dlc in a really bad state, i can't remember how many times they break jill face.. At least with the last patch her face was finally fixed, for now.

Steam does have that option, that's right. Here's the Steam support info on it:
What about games that use Steam Networking APIs?
If a game uses our newest networking APIs (ISteamNetworkingSockets and ISteamNetworkingMessages), the traffic can be relayed using Steam Datagram Relay (SDR), Valve's worldwide backbone and network of relays, and you can decide when to allow an app to share your IP address. Under Steam / Settings / In-Game / Steam Networking, there is an option that controls when your IP address is revealed:
Never. Never share your IP with any player. Always relay peer-to-peer traffic.
Always. Always allow the app to share your IP with any player. If the other player also shares their IP address, a direct connection may be established. If not, it will be relayed.
Default. This will not share your IP address, unless it appears necessary to avoid excessive ping times.
Friends Only. Share your IP only with users in your Friends List.
We recommend that most players leave the setting on default. If you experience high ping times and would prefer to risk sharing your IP address to attempt to get a faster connection, you might try changing the value to "Always". Remember that just because you share your IP address does not mean a direct connection will be made. The other player must share their IP address, and NAT traversal must succeed in negotiating the firewalls.
Please note that the game may choose to force the use of a relay for certain connections, such as in a high-stakes competitive mode where DoS attacks are more likely.
https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/1433-AD20-F11D-B71E
Yup im using it with the "never" option and it doesn't conflicts with my ping at all so far.
-
There is a way to supposedly hide your ip when you play a game on steam now in preferences>ingame>steam network and select "never"
Although i'm not sure if its effective or really do something. Im playing with that activated after what happened.
-
I'm in favor of any solo q buff but i don't know if that will be a correct one. But definitely something must be done, it is in a terrible state.
-
When you see how much killers tend to tunnel and camp lately, you can understand why some survivors rage quit. Its like.. you can give a ######### about it after 1, 2, even 3 or 4 times happening, but lately almost all killers camp and tunnel at the start of the match.. So if it happen in 80% of the games you play you will get annoyed and i think everyone would get.
-
I think not, if they go full W against the artist you can't do much other than chase normally and expect the survivor to stop at some loop, while with nurse you can hit them faster and you don't need to set up anything, that of course if you play with addons. Basekit nurse can't do much againts full W survivors.
-
That's literally the most standard build of a huntress and there is nothing wrong with it. I don't get your point.. there are perks that hide you from BBQ, you can hide behind a gen or be near the hooked person to avoid it.

Its such a pity how many killers the devs killed with CoH. RIP Legion mains. Was one of my favorite killers.

Is there a cheat that prevents you from entering a chase so that you can run infinites without the windows being blocked?
Just went against that.
Chases are really bugged in some maps, even if you have clear line of sight and you are a few meters away you don't get a chase sometimes. This happens a lot in the dead dawn saloon, and specially if you are playing with slow killers. But it wouldn't surprise me if a cheat of that exist.

Twins have massive cooldowns for virtually everything they do. Succeed, fail, switch, you're on a delay when you do it. They're insanely clunky to play and it's what makes slugging a necessity - they have more trouble hooking their downs than any other killer in the game. In fact, if you down a survivor with Victor in the newest boon zone, if Charlotte is more than 32m away, they will get back up before you can reach them. And CoH makes it so that survivors are rarely wandering around injured anymore, which was necessary for their playstyle to work.
They're virtually unseen in the wild and despised when they do make a rare appearance. Trickster's had 4 times as many new outfits as they have despite being released half as long. Easily BHVR's red-headed stepchild, which is... sadly appropriate for their lore. Reviled wherever they go.
They need a full rework. Possibly making use of the relatively new AI to make the other twin function while idle.
Yeah that problem already existed before boons, so i can imagine how CoH just makes it even worse for Twins. Obviously bad design although CoH is literally the new MoM, the devs needs to do someting about boons. Infinite relit needs to go.
-
Dead dawn saloon is worse. Nasty infinites, a hundred breakable walls and very small map which favors gens rush..
RPD isn't that bad as killer, most survivor don't know where to go there. I hate it more as survivor, most of the times my teammates die fast there.
-
Twins aren't that bad, their camping potential its still good. There are far worse killers that are really outdated like Legion, Myers and others that has been gutted by the devs like Billy (RIP) and Pig.
