  • Solo queue is hell, but killer is not easy. Try playing Oni, Trickster, Trapper, Nurse, or Onryō and you’ll wanna die. But playing any killer in general is hard, you have to deal with 4 survivors or your skill level, so it’s hard to mind game them, and watching 2 gens go by at the same time 2 minutes into the game. Killer isn’t easy. Also tunneling and camping is a valid strategy, if you don’t want to get tunneled then put on DS, or Babysitter (guardian), but if you don’t want to that’s fine, but don’t complain when you get tunneled, cause you could have sacrificed a perk slot to avoid a tunnel.

That's a lot of obtuse and stringent work to make Solo 0.01% less annoying when it would be better to just buff good solo perks like Better Together.

    True

  • @Valik said:

I personally don't think information on what everyone is doing does much at all.

It can help with efficiency, but all it's going to end up doing is making solo survivors more aggravated as they helplessly watch their teammates make bad plays.

Knowing when the killer hits someone is as easy as seeing the HUD.

Knowing who the killer is doesn't take more than 30 seconds and isn't all that important to know once health states and chases start being exchanged.

I think solo is already aggravating, and I think having an icon system would be less annoying than annoying

  • @Marc_123 said:

    Absolutely.

We need more maps. I still wonder why we didn´t get the Trickster neon map. I am sure they thought about it or wanted one initially.

And Blight could have his castle map.

    GENIUS BLIGHT MAP

  • Me and my teammates (not a swf) crushed a Death Slinger that only got 3 hooks and no kills. My teammates stayed and t-bagged the killer while I left. The killer DCed and I messaged him saying he just had a rough game and was sorry about my toxic teammates (this was before I switched to PC) . The killer thanked me for not being toxic and said the community needed more people like me. Just wanted to share a story.

Hey, if the killer's camping, they're probably going to follow through--it's best to be prepared rather than lead your teammate to the slaughter. What were you going to do, leave them on hook the entire game? I added a perfect perk for even that situation.

*Laughs in unhooking without BT in front of a Bubba*

    *Laughs in DS*

  • @CryptFriend said:

Borrowed Time, Babysitter, Camaraderie, Slippery Meat, Deliverance, Off The Record, literally any perk that assists you in keeping off the hook in the first place because sometimes that's what it takes--not sure about others, I'll come back later

Edit: more: Sprint Burst (unhooker or unhooked) Deliverance, No One Left Behind...

most of those are anti tunneling perks

Yes but these are objective-based perks, and the survivor objectives are leagues easier than killer's. Survivors have more than enough time to do all the gens and totems, and that's how they get their Adrenaline. Killers can't really stop the gens or totems from being done, so they're dependent on NOED which can be destroyed in the hopes that they actually get to use it. Adrenaline is practically guaranteed these days.

The chance of countering NOED before it activates is slim because their are only 5 totems so there hard to find, yes you can counter NOED but not Adrenaline, but the the point the other guy was making is that you don’t work for NOED nor Adrenaline.

  • @Labrac said:

Blight. He literally uses a crutch to hit the survivors.

    Nice one

  • @snek said:

for every 15 sec within 16m proximity of the hook without other survivors, lose 25% of earned bloodpoints

BP shouldn’t be affected by camping, the person on the hook should be affected by the slow down I mentioned, Camadere is an anti camping perk and I think it’s the only one.

  • @Tr1nity said:

The crutch killers are as follows:

    Trapper

    Wraith

    Hillbilly

    Nurse

    Huntress

    Nightmare

    Shape

    Executioner

    Demogorgon

    Nemisis

    Deathslinger

    Clown

    Spirit

    Hag

    Cenobite

    Cannibal

    Twins

    Trickster

    Legion

    Doctor

    Pig

    Plague

    Ghostface

    Oni

Any killer with a vowel in their name is a crutch killer and should be avoided

    Agreed

onis demon strikes using his kanabo don't apply sloppy butcher when they instadown only the quick m1s with the kanabo that do a single state of damage apply sloppy butcher his kanabo instadown attacks including the ones at the end of rushes are special attacks and as such do not apply sloppy butcher

Ohhh my bad thanks for telling

  • @Mistakesweremade said:

Sloppy butcher is ok, but I think gift of pain could also do the trick since it does not require basic attacks but that is really up to you.

I am not sure about bamboozle. Oni is already pretty good dealing with most windows thanks to the increased range of his kanabo. I would switch it for something different like thrilling tremors or infectious fright.

Pop and tinkerer are good choices, but personally I would switch tinkerer for plaything.

Gift of Pain is a good perk, but ONI only does m1 so sloppy gets the job done. I did consider switching Bamboozle for BBQ, but I’ll definitely try Infectious. Plaything is a perk I don’t really like but it’s a good perk nonetheless so I’ll try it when I prestige Pinhead.

Very decent but you don't need to dedicate yourself to one build.

I experiment with different builds all the time and made an agitation/mad grit build. I never fully dedicate myself to 1 build but this is my casual for now

  • @Tricksters_Wife said:

From one Trickster main to another, I think this is a pretty solid build!

I didn't really think about the movement speed boost Devour gives you that makes him a 115% killer (like he should be). But I think it's a really clever idea :)

I used to be a big fan of caged heart shoes but I find myself using it less and less. I still think it's a solid add on though!

Most survivors don’t expect to hear the words “Trickster Main” and always underestimate any Trickster. One time this guy let me get a hit to “give me a chance” but I had 5 stacks Devour (lots of knives used) and he wasn’t expecting it. The Endgame chat was hilarious, “you ######### suck Trickster your so bad that you have to use Devour Hope”

  • When I’m playing I get a lot more fairer matches, but when I’m playing with my freinds (not good at DbD) I get stupid teammates who blow up every other second and get me killed

  • Itd be another chicken man skin, it’s so funny that you can’t play.

  • Just wanted to say thank you for all the suggestions for perks, all of your suggestions I’m going to try to see which one fits me best. Lots of grinding to be done today.

  • @Karaage said:

As some who loves Open Handed builds as well, I would suggest Better Together for the final slot. Also might consider dropping Bond for Visionary, since I feel Kindred is good enough on its own.

ill try Better Together for some matches, but at the higher ranks it’s pretty useless because being together on gens is something that other people say is bad. I don’t like Visionary just because I know where most of the gen locations are.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

Um... BT is basically non-negotiable. So I would pick that over Balanced.

If you want off meta. Slippery meat. When you see with all your aura reading that your teammates don't care about you, time to take matters into your own hands.

I said I didn’t want a meta build I don’t mind running meta perks. I really dislike Slippery because chance in DbD is really nothing special. Maybe Deliverance? (If the first part sounded rude it’s not meant to be)

  • @AshInTheTallGrass said:

Are you wanting more of an information build or a helping the team build? Spine Chill would work well with an information build. BT is great for team builds, or We'll Make It (like @Impose said). Can't really go wrong though with whatever you choose.

(By the way, you were correct. Open-Handed is Ace's aura-reading extension perk).

I usually run BT and Balanced but with this build I can’t run both, so what I’m asking is should I remove a perk or what perk should I use for the 4th slot

Let's say about half of the Killers would be deemed as worthy of using their weapon instead of their feet.

That's still a lot of new animations for just 1 Perk.

Your right, just wanted to say not ALL killers

  • @Boss said:

That's a lot of different animations for just 1 Perk.

I mean it'd be cool, but even if they want to visit all Perks to look for possible animation changes, it wouldn't be on the top of their priority list for a long-ass time.

I don’t mean like change Nemisis pallet breaking animation, it’s fine as it is. I’m talking about killers have a weapon that looks like it can break a pallet like Huntress. Wraith should stay the same because his weapon doesn’t look like it can break pallets. Demo doesn’t have a weapon and Doctor doesn’t have a object that can break pallets so their animations should stay the same with the perk.

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

Not a fan I think it should just be a anti sabo perk and a perk to respawn hooks after a sacrifice

respawning hooks after a sacrifice is like permanent basement on all hooks, it would be really op to be able to sacrifice survivors and then hook somebody on the same hook

  • @DetailedDetriment said:

Lethal Pursuer - Make it base-kit.

Lightweight - Give it the exact opposite effect of Predator.

I think Lethal Pursuer is fine as a perk.

  • @Predated said:

Perks I (practically) don't use because they are too weak or too boring and I cannot really think of any builds that work or they are too good at what they are supposed to do(and thus least favourite):

Flip Flop(give it a 100% conversion rate and cap wiggle progress at 65%)

Buckle Up(add the ability to pick up other downed survivors while you're downed, or to be picked up by other downed survivors while you're downed, and it would be amazing, first perk to counter mass slugging without being a self pick-up perk)

Calm Spirit(should make breathing softer too, no screaming and no crows is a bit too niche and softer breathing would fit the perk theme)

Sole Survivor(since it no longer works with Object of Obsession, the distance should be 40 meters per token(having 120 meters at 3 survivors dead, AKA full aura reading immunity)

Up The Ante(buffing from 1/2/3% to 3/4/5% for a max of 9/12/15% of luck would actually be quite good)

No Mither(either being healthy from the beginning of the match, only to be broken for the remainder of the match if you're able to pick yourself up once, or reducing grunts of pain by 75-100%, it's supposed to be hard mode for survivors, not easy mode for killers)

Poised(also remove blood for 10 seconds, having no scratchmarks but still blood isnt exactly useful in any scenario)

Tenacity(the first 5 seconds you're downed, have 0 sound and 150% increased crawling speed(which would be close to Urban Evasion 1 crouching speed), then back to the 50% increased speed(which is roughly standard crouching speed))

Babysitter(also block aura readings on the survivor you saved, and up the amount of time to 12 seconds, that way it's a decent replacement for BT)

Red Herring(reduce the cooldown from 40 to 10 seconds, it already takes time to find a usable gen and a locker for it to work properly)

Visionary(double the aura reading on gens, Rookie Spirit would still be better value than Visionary if that were the case, at least Visionary would make it easier to find difficult gens)

Power Struggle(only an issue because of current Flip Flop, so either lower it to 15% with current Flip Flop, or buff Flip Flop and this perk is fine)

Hope(Hopefully this would become a Boon totem, and like NOED would last essentially forever as long as it's standing instead of only 2 minutes, otherwise, buff the time to 180 seconds)

Lightweight(make scratchmarks more spread-out, making it even less predictable, including the 3 second faster disappearance so it's still possible for the killer to deduce where the survivor is heading, but instead of having 3 seconds less to see the scratchmarks, they would need to wait 7 seconds to see which direction the scratchmarks are disappearing towards)

No One Left Behind(trigger the effect once the final gen is finished or increase the speed to 100%)

Premonition(lower the cooldown, even a 5 second cooldown would make Spinechill superior, it would just be easier to use)

This Is Not Happening(increase the chance for skillchecks by 20%, would make it a useful support perk for perks like Autodidact)

Dying Light(each gained stack should also reduce the healing buff gained by the obsession by 3%, stacks should remain once the obsession is removed from the game just like STBFL)

Beast of Prey(just gain undetectability whenever you enter a chase)

Territorial Imperative(notification and perma aura reading rather than just 3 seconds, distance could remain the same, I'd rather have it be based around the Terror Radius, meaning if the survivor is not in the terror radius while entering the basement, their aura is being shown)

Fire Up(should gain 5% per gen, 15% for the last gen, giving a total of 7 stacks(at 35% increased action speed after the final gen) as there are a total of 7 gens on the map)

Blood Echo(base 5/10/15 second exhaustion regardless of injured state, +30 second exhaustion(aka 35/40/45 seconds) when injured. Cooldown 60 seconds across all tiers)

Dragons Grip(should work like Make Your Choice. No cooldown, just the last gen you kicked having a 30 second "protection", disable the perk once a survivor is exposed. As soon as the survivor is no longer exposed, the perk can be used again)

GearHead(buff it to 45 seconds and include great skill checks)

Dead Man's Switch(activate the timer once a generator has been let go)

Distressing(make it 35% and give the bonus BP post-game rather than during, some builds benefit from a large terror radius, having Distressing be the best solo perk to get a massive TR would be great)

NOED(100% spawn chance if all totems are standing, 80% when 4 totems are standing, 60% if 3 totems are standing, 40% with 2 and 20% with 1. Or 100% spawn chance with 5 and 4 totems standing, 75% with 3, 50% with 2 and 25% with 1, OR 100% chance with 5/4/3 totems standing, 66% with 2, and 33% with 1, essentially making the perk less likely to spawn if survivors cleanse totems and more likely to spawn if survivors dont or barely cleanse totems. As for compensation, the totem should be entity blocked for 30-60 seconds after it spawns)

Thrill of the Hunt(increase to 7% per totem for a max of 45% increase, also bloodpoints awarded post-game)

Insidious(stand still for 2 seconds to gain undetectability, for each second you stand still, gain 2 seconds of undetectability while moving up to a max of 60 seconds)

Monstrous Shrine(should either apply to every hook, or should be 20%-25% flat in all values)

Spies from the Shadows(instead of notification, give a 5 second aura reading of anyone within 36 meters of a disturbed crow, 20-40 seconds cooldown)

Unrelenting(increase the % from 30 to 45% and we gucci)

It’s a very lengthy response and I enjoyed what you said, the only perk I really think shouldn’t be changed is insidious because your change would encourage more camping and then moving and then camping. Other than that, BUFF UNRELENTING.

I’d be down with it. Although I don’t think they will do it because they have other priorities, like breaking the game some more.

BHVR here! We think Haddonfeild is too killer sided, so EVERY house is going to be open!

  • Doctor because you don’t need a ######### ad on to fake pallets

  • @HollowsGrief said:

    No he isn't good.

    Why?

  • You can’t say which killer you would delete and not put legion

  • Honestly I just think your going against really good blights, any blights I go against I just use the debris to combat him and no blight has ever caught me.

  • I think it’s like the name of the perks being changed as well as the images, they can’t change the map name to “Abandon Lab” or something like that because of the licensing deal maybe?

  • I know people are gonna disagree, but hear me out.

    Trickster

Great killer that I’ve played a lot and is my second main (Nemi forever). All of his ad-ons are good (except for the Rusty Blades). You can down people quickly with your blades and don’t have to aim all that well because of how many he has. People say Trickster is a ######### version of huntress. What they always forget is that Main Event exists, it WILL down somebody because of how quick and op it is due to the new buff.

  • If you play on console the lag spikes are an issue right now, but they’ve been worked on so no when I get a lag spike they last for 2-5 seconds.

Just to clarify - is the question "who's more fun playing AS" or "who's more fun playing AGAINST?"

    As

  • I just don’t care what random people think, if one of my perks (Remember Me) doesn’t work for one person I’ll focus on them, tunnel them to get the perk working if I have to.

  • Trickster has weird recoil, Nemesis doesn’t

  • I’d go for “The Attraction”

I got that from a fan made Spotlight for him.

  • I would choose Wraith but Ghostface can expose people and I like that more than sped up bing bong boy.

  • im new to this so I just noticed dev polls have a tag next to them

  • I did use it when I first started and got off of it because I started to figure out how to counter endgame. I think it’s a great starting perk but you should gradually get off of it.

  • If I ever do an accident tunnel I’ll leave them on the ground

  • one time I was playing Trapper, and I body blocked a Jake from getting a pallet stun, but because of the new pallet system he went through me and stunned me, he didn’t take damage because he stunned me, I should have gotten that hit but because he stunned me he didn’t.

  • For me it’s the opposite, I get hit because the game stutters, and I can’t hit anybody or track them because of it.

  • Maybe like a nightclub where The Trickster first preformed. (Like a big place or a little place that includes the outdoor area)
