  • No, but I do believe in teamwork.

  • Apologies everyone, as it turns out I’m really really bad at doing a simple math equation in my head. I meant 4/24 games, apologies.

they reverted the change they made to stop reverse pallet stuns because it would just make pallets outright not stun. also had the side effect of making power struggle useless

Oh, that makes sense, good to know

  • You got pallet stunned, that’s a mechanic, it’s not silly for it to be a mechanic. Now spinning I will admit is annoying, but I’m on Xbox and I only found them hard to hit when I was new, afterwards it was easy to predict and hit.

Why doesn't the game actually end when the timer runs out in the first place?

So we can see the cool killing animation? Skip this for all i care

BP gaining instantly stops after the game transitions to the end game screen, so the game needs to stall so you can get your 2500 for killing everyone or the BP for a mori

The idea of firing a ######### gun, not even a harpoon gun just a ######### gun, and having it deal no damage just feels fundamentally wrong. The Platypus 70 isn't even like ######### sleep darts, it is just a gun

How would you modify it to where it would be balanced, and deal damage? I’m sure it’s possible, maybe like a damage counter like trickster?

I think if any Payday character should be a killer, it should be the Cloaker

So he can tell survivors to go to the forums and "cry like the little..." you know the line.

(Also tbh I think you could make a pretty interesting power for him, sorta like a dredge/wesker hybrid).

Also you say that Payday is an outlandish idea but did you know Payday has DBD content in it? You can get some DBD killer masks in it p sure, including an original concept for Wraith

Your right, cloaked would be a good killer, maybe a skin for him. Also, good to know that DbD mask are in Payday, didn’t know about that

  • Payday SoundtracK

    Mantis Lords- Hollow Knight

  • I read it too fast and accidentally chose killer, survivors do have it easier.

Survivors just get chased once, get caught, saved and then do gens until they are found again. With killer you have to worry about gens, if you should leave chases, what mind games you should do, how to approach a chase, should I break this pallet? Should I give up chase? Killer is just a heaping ball of stress with the reward of more BP and satisfaction than the survivor.

Survivor mains about NOED: "What, I actually have to cleanse totems other than Hex totems? But that's time that I could be doing generators and teabagging/clicking, Remove it!"

Ah yes, I will spend 4 minutes finding every totem in the map just to get rid of the chance of the killer having NOED. Also, I’m a killer main, but I respect the opinion

    K

Apparently everything a survivor does is toxic. You use meta perks or items your toxic for "abusing the game". If you use the maps and play normally your toxic. If you do anything that isn't standing still and letting killers hook you your toxic.

no, the reason killers say everything the survivors do is toxic is because, flash light clicking, t-baging, t-baging at exit gates, killer tunnels/camps the killer should delete the game, etc. Most if not all killers consider looping a strategy and not toxic, and doing gens isn’t toxic either. I t-bag as survivor in chases to get the killer mad and so they make mistakes, but not at the exit gate when I can just leave.

Not only entitled survivors complain about camping and tunneling, and many cases they are right.

I hate it in them when they swarming the hook, and then complain that you "camped" and/or slugged and such. Or when you hook somebody, and you cannot get to the corner, and they unhook already and again - cry about that you camp.

Tunneling and camping are valid strategies, and camping doesn’t always have to happen when the survivors are swarming a hook, complaining about getting tunneled all game is… ok I guess, but entitled survivors throw a hissy fit over it

If that first one does mess you up, just do another one and that’ll count as your 7th one instead

'Imagine if a killer got an add-on that allowed them to kill a survivor on first hook.' As someone previously pointed out: Tombstone. Rancor also allows killers to kill a survivor on first hook.

Tombstone takes time to build, Rancor requires all gens to be completed; can’t be used instantly, and only effects one person, unlike BNPs that can be carried by all

  • I’ve read the comments, i see how there bugged, but I don’t use them often because I am a killer main. And of course I made this thread after running into 2 BNP SWFS, and it can feel like gens go brrrrr

It's called "Tombstone" or, stepping away from add-ons, "Devour Hope."

Modern BNPs are fine. You can't save them with wards or AitH and you can't do a gen with your toolbox without using them immediately. If anything, the Syringe and bottled time should get changed to be consumed and use up all remaining medkit charges rather than consume the medkit.

Tombstone is an add-on for a low-teir killer that takes around double the amount to get, Devour Hope can be cleansed without it getting any value. BNPs can just save 20 seconds of a gen in 2 seconds.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2977016#Comment_2977016

Not good reasoning. A killer has to put in so much work to get that and it can be cleansed before it even has a chance to unlock its exposed part. If it’s not a balanced perk, idk what is.

no, the killer doesn’t have to put much work in to get it, you hook, walk away, and get your token, and you only have to do this 3 times for exposed, and 5 times for an insta-kill. Protecting it and RNG placement is hard work though, but you could say that for all Hex’s. Catching the survivor is the hardest part, but your already doing that.

  • It’s one of two of perks that can Mori a survivor without a offering. And the only perk that allows you to Mori all survivors.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/325307/noed-experiment

I kept stats in 275+ survivor matches, and NOED was run in 13% of them. 62% seems like you were exceptionally unlucky.

For the record, I don't run NOED when I play killer, and when I get hit by NOED as a survivor, it can be frustrating, but escape (or at least most of your team escaping) isn't impossible, so I have no dog in the NOED fight.

I guess I do have bad luck, but 275+ is way more than 50. I don’t hate the person that runs it, I just hate how much I run into it. And I agree that not all killers get 4ks or 2ks just because of NOED and it isn’t impossible to escape because of it.

  • @Maxitolliony said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/325307/noed-experiment

noed is horrible and i agree it should be nerfed since it makes bad players lazy and rewards bad players. but i also want dh nerfed. i should not be shoved or have to waste so much more time in a chase when pallets, loops and sandbagging/taking hits is a thing.

dh is so broken in so many ways as noed is annoying when the killers does nothing the whole game and then slug 4ks in end game.

i repeat i never use dh and noed unless i legit have to aka no other perks to use since i try to p3 all killers/survs.

i think dh is a garbage perk like noed. it rewards horrible players and give them a cheesy win in a chase.

i am not stupid they are not broken. noed can be cleaned and you can bait dh its just the annoyance is why i hate them. you have 0 hooks and you need to get a hook but the person dead hards to a pallet or wall or something and now you have to chase even more. NOT EVEN THAT ADRLINE AVOIDS EXHAUST. so you can dh and ad pop and boom you are now long gone with dh dodge and ad full health and speedboost.

dh and ad combined is braindead and should not be a thing. its like how you used to be able to combo dh and sprint burst and the surv would be accross the map and you had to give up the chase and waste your time going for a healthy surv and get looped again and 5 gens are gone and you have 0 hooks.

edit: added note i am a god tier surv player who have been rank 1 so many times. i legit have gone games where i have not got hit once no i never get to use dh. good survs use something else instead of dh since you actually need ot get hit to use it. me and others don't ever get hit and why its useless. less value and it does nothing since its a ez counter.

    I agree with everything

I think the devs would be nerfing or buffing perks forever if they added this. Imagine them changing such a long line of perks that eventually people complain about Pharmacy or Monstrous Shrine being OP, or Dead Hard or Devour Hope being too weak.

Well the devs don’t always have to take a look at the ban rates each month and then immediately tweak the perk, they don’t have to do anything to it at all

  • @JonathanByers said:

Killer would just ban dead hard every single time, survivor would ban a perk like devour hope, noed, corrupt, rancor etc.

And that would give the devs info on what perks are being banned the most, and tweak them so they don’t. Killers ban DH the most, then DH needs to be nerfed. NOED is banned the most, then NOED needs to be nerfed

  • @AGM said:

I mean, if it did have this kind of system it would have to be EXTREMELY well thought out and complex to the point of almost not being worth it. The first problem is why does the killer only get to ban 1, but the survivors can each ban 1? And if that's not what you mean, then how do the survivors decide what perk to ban as a whole, especially if they can't communicate? And then what happens if they each vote on a different perk? And say they do decide on a perk, what if the killer was going to bring that perk? Do they just not get a 4th perk? Or do you waste everyone's time with a "pre-lobby" where you go through the perk ban system before getting to the real lobby?

All in all it just seems like more trouble than it's worth.

I said this ban system would happen before the 1 minute countdown, and also all survivors vote on one perk, if it’s a tie then one of those ties is randomly chosen, when the survivors ban a killer perk that the killer was going to use, then the killer slot will be empty in the load out screen and another perk can be put there. Also if you say a pre- lobby is a waste of time, then your also saying that R6’s banning pre-screen is a waste of time, which it isnt

  • Yes, but no. Yes because it sounds and looks cool, but no because it wouldn’t make sense. I don’t think he was ever a pig, although I’m not good on Saw lore so take that as you will. And he was a sick old man, but I guess the entity could fix that problem.

  • What I think you mean by gifting is gifting arura cells and cosmetics, the amount of accounts that would get hacked and then have no cells would be a lot.

  • Taking out the DC penalty is a horrible idea, the second something goes wrong the only thing stopping a survivor or killer from DCing is that penalty, people would complain about how many survivors DC if the penalty was removed. Yes, the amount of cheaters is bad, but that is BHVRs fault and they need to make a better anti-cheat, not make a temporary fix that would make everything worse.

  • Your fine, not toxic at all

  • @sonata93 said:

I will continually say it: DH is nowhere near as ridiculously OP as people make out.

    • Most baby survivors don't even have it (unless they play David)
    • Mid-tier survivors use it quite often but will literally use it just to dodge a hit (the point of the perk). They more than often still go down mere seconds after using it, particularly when they panic DH.
    • Sure, seasoned survivors really know how to use it at the exact right moment and usually manage to extend their chases. However, these are the minority and I don't believe any killer mains that say they repeatedly go against high MMR survivors who know how to impeccably use DH every single time. I say this as someone who 50/50's both sides - I more than often see survivors do goofy things like DH into a rock or a wall or something. It makes me whiff and then they go down like 3 seconds later. 😂

As a killer main, who wins most games, I see survivors dash to pallets and windows most of the time, not run into me to avoid the hit

The devs never said it’s overpowered. This just goes to show how bias you really are.

They said it is used a lot. That doesn’t mean it’s OP.

fair enough, but they say that the perk makes the meta stale, and meta perks are the best perks. And you don’t have to come off like a piece of crap, you could’ve just said, “I disagree, DH is a fair and balanced perk.” But you had to say,” learn to manage better” and then you said Im super bias, and other rude things to people. Again, this experiment wasn’t about how OP DH is, it’s about how many people use it.

Because those of us who play killer and know how to deal with it, don’t.

Also the devs in the anniversary stream said that DH takes up too much of the meta, so they plan on reworking or nerfing it. THE DEVS DIRECTLY SAID THAT DH IS TOO OVER POWERED AND WILL BE NERFED.

I’m not exaggerating it at all, I main killer, so I know how to deal with DH, but you can’t deflect the fact that most survivors don’t go down after using DH because they use it to get to a window or pallet without dying, try to deflect that point

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2968200#Comment_2968200

Yeah that’s why survivors go down immediately after dead Harding.

I get it you don’t like the perk. That’s not a reason to say it is 1v1ing a killer. Maybe YOU are the one who feels that way because you can’t manage. So learn to manage.

DH can be used to save yourself by dashing to a window or pallet, you cant just bait it, you can’t manage a survivor that has a perk that allows them to save themselves by getting to a pallet faster.

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

It is a popular perk that works as a chase extender. Aka what it is meant for.

If there was another perk that also worked during close-up chases rather than to gain long distances you would see it used as well.

We need more perks like DH because otherwise the meta turns to playing it extremely safe and holding W. Which can be unfun.

Lets make a fictional perk, lets call it Boon: Steady Feet, this perk allows you to use your exhaustion perk twice, and decreases exhaustion 50% faster. Sounds OP right? Well that’s what DH is like, a perk that extends chases by 40 years, so is I used Balanced Landing Twice I would be able to extend the chase by at least 1-2 minutes.

If you are getting 3ks on average, doesn't that mean that even with Dead Hard, survivors need buffs?

Uh, no. Trickster has a ranged power so he’s a hard counter to DH, I don’t hit them I plunge knives into there back and DH is always used just to avoid one knife, but this is about how much DH is used, not how good I am at the game. Survivors get a buff every 3 months, via perks, so no need to buff survivors.
