Since when DS is an anti-tunnel perk?
Since the rework.
-
Crossplay is good, no more 5-10 minutes of waiting time as killer.
-
LoL the spirit is easy as hell, almost always I play her for rituals I have good games despite I have trash perks learned and use bad addons. The only thing you need to play her fine is using decent headphones and equip stridor.
The ppl who say it need skill? #########.

There are four survivors in each match. It wouldn't kill you to chase another.
Survivors have unbreakable? Cool, make them waste it.
Survivors jump in a locker? Waste their DS then keep tunneling or wait it out.
It's really not that hard, chief. The only time it's an issue is endgame.
And while you do that 2 gens or more are popping lol.
The only nerf DS need is being disabled if other survivor is hooked, if I hook a survivor and I spot and catch you again in less than 60 seconds since your last hook I'm being punished for playing good, I'm not tunneling and the perk lost the purpose of being an anti tunneling perk.
-
6 bottles and the reloading of them twice as fast, as basekit without addons.
-
#########, it is the least reliable of all the exhaustion perks, half of the times the killer down you despite the exhaustion cooldown showed in the right.
-
The keys are the counterpart of the Moris and them both should be removed from the game IMO.
-
Hilbilly is not balanced at all.
Spirit is not balanced at all.
DS should be nerfed and the effect should only stay active if you haven't hooked anybody before you catch the user.
-
Old Freddy despite being worse.
-
Crouch cooldown.
Flashlight cooldown.
Vault blocking by the entity despite not being chased by a killer.
Problem solved.
-
I would like a xenomorph or Pinhead.
If it is finally Candyman it will be a "meh" for me. I didn't even know that killer before the rumors started around.

Back for more psychological analyses - this time, I'm interested in how players perceive particular characters, based on things they've heard, past experiences, etc.
They could be survivors or killers. Do you expect certain killers to camp or meme? Do you dread being put on a team with someone playing a specific survivor? Do you judge someone's likely skill level based on who they're playing or what cosmetics they're wearing? Do you tunnel people or let them live based on their character or cosmetics? And why?
Let me know all about your in-game prejudices, rational or otherwise!
(Usual disclaimer applies - I am a design student, using the DBD forums as a case study for my Honours research project. I won't include any personally identifying information, such as usernames, but insights gained from this post may be used as part of my studies.)
"Do you expect certain killers to camp or meme?" Yes, Bubbas are usually campers and Spirits are usually tunnelers.
"Do you dread being put on a team with someone playing a specific survivor?" No.
"Do you judge someone's likely skill level based on who they're playing or what cosmetics they're wearing?" I realiced that people wearing the default outfit of a survivor have way higher chances of being noob.
"Do you tunnel people or let them live based on their character or cosmetics?" No, but if the survivor is a flashlight click-clicker and/or a vault spammer I sometimes tunnel, depending on my mood that day.
-
In my opinion, moris should be removed, its an absurd gameplay mechanic, but the keys must be removed too (except the green one).
@sad_killer_main said:
Why in 2020 people still cry about moris?
Moris are an ultra rare add-don, and do you know what that means? You won't find moris in every single game. Sure, if you have a prestige 3 character moris will come and go more easily but we, killers, only use moris when we are tired of losing or something like that.
Moris don't let you earn a lot of bps so that's why you'll only use them in certain situations.
Moris are ok and balanced, and keys also exist for survivors, so pls don't complain more about this.
The ultra rare addons are not that ultra rare. I have a lot of them and I've seen people with more hours having a stack of 150-200 in their main chars.
-
His reloading time is too slow, and he also move slow when holding a bottle before throwing it. Is one of the kilers which waste more time which is traduced in bad map pressure and one of the most genrushed.
He need a rework.
-
The killer is cool but the map is boring in both sides IMO, and very noisy.
-
Piping as survivor is already very easy. I think you shouldn't get a free safety pip only because you had the bad luck of being tunneled at first.
-
I use him for farming BP and for me is quite boring too, I don't know why exactly but playing him feel more bland than other killers. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I prefer the old Freddy despite being so bad, being completely invisible until you sleep a survivor was very fun and unique...
He didn't need a rework IMO, only a buff.
-
Same.
This problem must be fixed ASAP, it's not only annoying, the survivors are harder to hear.
-
DS.
Only good if you are tunneled, you can use it only once, you can fail the skillcheck and sometimes when you use it, the killer catch you again in very few time if you are in a bad place.

BHVR definitely did right by Ghostface.
People say that Billy is the king of balance. (Yes i know hes in a buggy and clunky state rn). But I disagree.
Ghostface is fun to play as and against. Hes simple and easy to learn, but takes time to master.
Theres nothing really especially broken about the killer himself, other than dedicated servers screwing up his reveal process. Hes simulataneously difficult and easy for survivors to counter.
What are your thoughts on Ghostface?
Fun to play against? For me is one of the most unfun to play against. Sometimes you are exposed without noticing where he is at all despite you are looking around and is stupidly easy to play him, in some maps is so easy to mindgame when playing him. He is like taking some of the good things of Myers and Pigsaw without the important flaws and mixing them.
-
A lot of killers with thousands of hours (undoubtedly experienced) say genrush is a thing. Desing problem, not entirely players fault, OK, but you can still have some empathy with the other side and try to do other things like cleansing totem or getting chased (lot of boldness points for it) instead of surfing with urban evasion when the killer is near. BUT OK if you think holding M1 and hidding everytime and scaping is fun, Reparator-Man.
I would add a 5% repairing speed reduction for each totem uncleansed, maybe with a initial 25% speed reduction at the start they would do other things.
-
It is one of the changes of the patch.
When I play killer I like it because I don't waste time waiting for a survivor to get the struggle points.
When I play survivor I miss it, because I lose around 800 points.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ReShade is whitelisted in the eac webpage tho, so it's absolutly safe to use it. I tried aswell but I'm not that happy with the results. Yes, it's better than not having it but the best is just having AA disabled and then eventually tweak a little bit with ReShade to scratch out the last bit of quality
The sharpening filters add an "artificial" sharpening to the scene and it doesn't look as sharp as the image without the TAA or FXAA + filters, I agree, but I honestly prefer TAA and a Sharpening than AA disabled. The jagged edges in the objects look awful and have more negative impact in the visuals than the blurriness IMO.

This is bullshit though. People get accused of gen rushing all the time even when they haven't.
I have been told to "Get AIDS gen rushers" in post game chat. In a game where all totems were cleansed, all gens done, both exit gates open, all chests opened. What do you expect the survivors to do other than that? Sabotage every hook on the map?
Gen rush is an excuse used by so many people because they lost not because the gens went too quick but because they were too ######### to handle the survivors. Never hear the killer moaning that the game ends quickly because they slugged everyone within 2 minutes though.
If the survivors do that things then the game is not that quick and there are no genrush.
I say genrush when three gens are done in very few minutes and you still have only 2 - 3 hooks. Almost no totems done, almost no opened chests, if the survivors are good at looping and you are not using a top tier killer, alea jacta est. Why do you think in red ranks the people carry corrupt intervention and/or Pop goes the wessel and are meta and use only 5 or 6 viable killers? the main reason is because there are a lot of killers who cannot put enough pressure in the map. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Who do I have to pay attention to? You, a random in a forum or to main killers with 4k+ hours which say that genrush exist?
-
@Ivaldi said:

Imagine needing to run a META perk?.. Doesn't that sound familiar when Survivors are told they should just run DS/BT to prevent tunneling? Or to just bring Detectives Hunch/Maps to prevent NOED?
I almost never seen nobody using maps and detective's hunch, #########?
DS is for counter the tunneling ok, there are tunnelers and campers out there, but I don't see this kind of killers as frequently as survivors genrushing which are in maybe 8 out of 10 games.
And I think that Dead Hard and Iron Will are more meta than DS.

"Survivors have it easy"... We've literally been nerfed patch after patch after patch and this most recent one practically destroyed all chances of survivors being able to loop you long. When are you going to stop complaining and just realize maybe YOUR gameplay just needs to improve?
Tell people with 4k+ hours and always in red ranks who complain about genrush that they just need to improve their gameplay, LoL.
A lot of them are almost forced to play certains killers and/or builds with Pop goes the wessel and/or Corrupt Intervention which are META due the genrushing.
-
I thought this today, we are not asking for charms or skins, just 15-20k BP in each empty level, this doesn't prevent people for paying if they want cooler things.
-
ReShade can fix the blurriness of TAA by enabling Luma Sharpen and/or Adaptative Sharpen, but I don't know if the anti cheat system may consider this a (false) positive use hack or cheat and punish you. If a dev can answer this would be nice.

But this is just not true. Killers have instant knockdowns, moris, perks that essentially track gens or regress progress - hell, there’s even perks that that stop survivors from escaping.
survivors have to SHARE their scores, I’ve never seen two survivors get 30k in the same game. Getting a 30k is much easier as killer than survivor. Dull totems are a side objective - survivors don’t have to do them at all and can ignore them.
Survivors are “obsessed” with doing generators because it is their only form of achieving escape unless they are the last one alive - but even then it is unlikely that one will survive or find hatch before the killer.
But why to ignore them? Do you really enjoy more holding M1 and stay hidden all the times if killer come than doing more things and getting better emblems and more BP? I admit that when I was a Novice I was obsesed with scaping and more scared by the killer, until I finally realize that is more amusing to do everything than just holding M1, even if I don't scape.

This is where a survivor main comes in and says "GIT GUD".
If you cant catch the survivor , go patrol gens till you can. I admired a trapper last night that would not waste his time chasing me. He hit me and if he saw i would make it to a pallet, he left. He went to a gen.
End of the trial im by myself slugged and only 2 gens done. All because he didnt waste time chasing a guy he wouldnt catch any time soon.
And what do you do if the 4 survivors are a bit good (no necessary to be a pro)? They can stay in a chase enough time for 2 gens to be done and popping at the start on the game even if you drop a chase every 10-15 seconds and kick the most advanced gen, what do you do? Just Kicking gens all the time?
Genrush is a problem in the game, anybody who don't notice this is survivor sided. Even if you see main killer streamers with 4k+ hours in twitch they say genrush is a problem.
BuT ThIs Is OuR ObJeTiVe, WhAt dO YoU SuPoSe We HaVe To Do?
Break dull totems, you can disable an endgame NOED and you get 1000 boldness points for each which is very good. Unhook survivors an heal them, tank them a Hit if the killer is a tunneler, this a lot of Altruism points.
Some survivor think the only things are Objetives and Survival (specially Objetives), Boldness and Altruism don't exist for them. You get more BP and even get better emblems at the end of the game and pip more. I personally prefer to get chased, search for totem and rescue team mates than just holding M1. I prefer to do that things even if I die than just hold M1 for X minutes and scaping, it's way more amusing and you get more point than just holding M1.
A lot of survivor have the obsesion of only do gens, they even repair while they are hurt without Resilience equiped or Stay in a generator to do this at all cost even if you are coming despite getting hit or downed due that risk OMG, that's so stupid.

Demogorgon is really good if you use him right IMO. Where are you placing your portals, and what perks/addons do you use?
Pop, Save the best for last, BBQ and the 4th is not always the same, but usually NOED or Surge.
I place the portals near the gens for tracking survivors using the power.
-
It annoys me, camping and tunneling make me lose pips without being my fault.
-
The most teabagers at the exit gates are just idiots which genrushed you and 3 or 4 are escaping, and It think: "why you teabag me? You think you are good for holding M1 for 5 minutes. LMAO"

The map is the easiest for survivors to hide
Sure it might be hard to find generators but overall it's a great map for survivors
I disagree.
Hiding in this map is very hard because you hear the heartbeats and a lot of times you don't know in which direction is the killer coming until it is 10 metres away from you.
It's also a paradise for sneaky killers.
It's the map in which you have less awareness of where the killer is (maybe along with the demogorgon map).
-
Everyone fail to get great skillchecks, a lot, that's the reason why I laugh a lot when some Pr0 survivors appear in a post bragging and saying that hitting great skill checks everytime is a counter against Ruin, LOL.
-
For me is one of the most unfun to play against, her traps are annoying as hell and the counters of the traps are a joke. moving while crouching and flashlights, really?
If you aren't a good looper you're basically sentenced against her.
-
@TheKingOfAll said:
Why do people always think the devs are attempting to screw them over? Aren’t the devs just there to balance the game and make sure everyone has fun?
Because there are mediocre or mid tier killers that get nerfed sometimes even more to make them even worse due arbitrary reasons (The Pig for example).

They should be bigger in survivors. With some outfits they are almost invisible...

A med kit or getting healed by another survivor are much better options. I know the idea of healing without the need of a med kit sound great, but is just too slow in a game where time is key.
You spend more time finding a Team Mate for healing you than self-healing, some of them even ignore you when you want to be healed.
The medkits are not infinite and can be lost if the killer use Franklin's Demise.
This perk is permaperk in survivors for me. Nobody will change my mind.
