Mostly bad. Dead Hard nerf is great but most of the rest is questionable at best. They definitely went overboard with killer buffs, longer gens, etc. The average solo queue player can't handle this many buffs and will never be able to. "git gud' is not going to happen with these people.
-
Anyone who thinks the current thinks the current grind is acceptable does not play solo queue. You get destroyed by some sweat lord while your solo queue teammates throw the game to cleanse totems and open chests. You get 12k for the match when you could have potentially gotten 24k when WGLF existed. That's not amazing but it makes it a little more tolerable. In addition the game is significantly harder for solo queue now so you usually end up with less BPs than you would have before. Then you are forced to prestige where you get terrible addons and items in the early levels. It just feels pointless to play until they buff the base number of BPs and rework the low level bloodwebs. Not making the bp bonus from BBQ/WGLF basekit is one of the strangest decisions i've ever seen the devs make. Both encouraged healthy gameplay and everyone loves more bloodpoints. The grind would have actually felt better if they kept these.

Some Survivor give up becausethey dont like the Update so they give up and increase the Killers killrate to Hope that the Devs revert the Changes like DH nerf or some Killer Buffs
Do you really think people sit on the game for hours a day just so they can lose on purpose? 99% of people have lives and don't have time to do something ridiculous like this. What's more likely is people are pushing this conspiracy theory so the changes DON'T get reverted.
-
I've played twice since the patch dropped. The increased grind and being forced into lower level blood webs killed my motivation to play. Survivor is a miserable experience and I can't play killer like I want since the queues are too long. I probably needed a break anyway.
-
It's almost like BBQ is a perk that literally every killer has and is used to using. Doesn't mean it's one of the best perks. It's not even the best info perk.
-
They’re copying the build Alf uses for his win streak.
-
Where are you guys getting this info about player numbers and how the patch is a resounding success? The average daily numbers are almost identical to what they were before the patch and have been going down every day.

It´s all rigged matches for sure. If not literally manipulated videos.
There is not way even after 5000 hours where you don´t have a SWF match where one escapes.
The same goes for Survivor streaks, all fake, no way you can do 300 matches without someone being camped hard.
To me: win is 4K as Killer or 4 escapes with Survivors. And no bullshit, just straight games with the same character and different hours ideally.
I don't get why a comp player destroying randoms is so hard to believe. They are significantly better than the people you find in random matches and he is using all of the most broken ######### that nurse can bring. Starstruck, range addons, etc.
-
This is the worst thing about the patch by far. I don’t even mind most of the perk changes. I just want more bps for the time I invest.
-
Nurse is OP but using what is effectively an esports caliber player to prove the point isn't the way to do it.
-
The incentives aren't even enough. The bloodpoints are just too low as a whole. No one wants to sit through a legion game for 20k bps.
-
Giving people incentives to stay in the game is just too much I guess. No one wants to stay in a game that they feel isn’t worth their time. With the current update you have instant queues. You also have no bloodpoint incentive to stay in a match. You can just leave and instantly get a better match which will probably be a better use of your time.
-
People pick legion because it’s a guaranteed win. There’s always someone in solo queue who just doesn’t want to deal with ANOTHER 45 minute thana legion game. They either immediately dc or suicide on the hook.
-
im not playing survivor again until they buff the bps. I’m not sitting through another 30 minute thanat legion game for 20k bps.

@theboyitachi said:
(title) i doubt even the incentive will help this just seems like people don’t wanna play survivor rn rightfully so, just sucks that queues are so long last night i ether got a really good swf or survivors with 50 hours an that really bad meaning that game is having a harder time finding people at my mmr an just throwing me babies because no one is playing
I can’t speak for everyone but I personally would be willing to play if the reward was actually worthwhile. As it is I haven’t played since since the incentive got shut off. I’ve only logged in for the free bps. Solo queue was always the hardest role. Now they made it even harder AND are giving you half the reward you got with WGLF. Waste of time and not worth it at all. I’m not going to go playing a 20 minute legion game for only 20k bps.
-
Yes and I don't blame them. Playing against Legion is the most unfun experience in this game as a survivor. It's more enjoyable to play against a sweaty nurse with 8000 hours than it is to play against a Legion running four slowdown perks.
-
Bloodpoints are bad all around. They need to be buffed across the board. What we have at the moment is not good enough.

For reference the steam charts aren’t showing total player counts being out of the ordinary, the 24 hour peak was over 50k for instance which is in line with their usual numbers. So the long killer queues are probably indicative of people switching from survivor to killer rather than leaving entirely. The switch is obviously due in large part to kill rates being higher (intentionally so, that was part of the goal of the patch) plus some resistance to change among the 70% or so of survivors who used Dead Hard.
Also because of how people level up killers versus survivors, there could be some people who had a bunch of killers at Prestige 1 or 2 but only one survivor at Prestige 1+ so when the patch hit they got a whole bunch of new killer perks but not much on the survivor side. In which case they’re trying out the new killer stuff they got. That’s probably only a minor factor, but I could see it happening.
You need more than a few days after a major patch release to know how changes of this magnitude are going to effect long term player counts. A lot of people are still trying out the changes. It'd be better to look at those numbers in a month.
-
I haven’t played a single solo queue game since the incentives were killswitched. The game might not need me but I don’t need it either. I’ll come back when the game actually respects my time. I’m not putting up with the hell that is solo queue for such an insultingly low reward.
-
I had the same experience. I put over a million BPs into a killer. This was before the incentives were kill switched. Back when they were giving absurd amounts of BPs per match. Like what is the point of even playing if you don't get anything good for leveling up? We already get significantly less BPs under normal circumstances with the nerfs to BBQ and WGLF. Now we don't get any fun addons either? You basically have to play more to get less than ever. This is why you don't rush out massive changes like this. Who knows when they'll actually rework the lower level blood webs and boost the BPs we get per match.
-
I’d play survivor but they turned the incentives off. Haven’t played a single game since then and won’t until it comes back. It’s not worth the effort without it.

Looking at prior patch history 6.1.2 would be about three weeks after 6.1.0.
See you guys in three weeks!
-
Did they kill switch the incentives? Off to do something else to guess. Definitely not going to suffer through solo survivor without the massive BP increase I was getting.
-
They need to just nerf high MMR SWFs. Surely they can make a system to detect if players are high MMR and in a group. Then apply penalties.
-
There are definitely some bad changes but the dead hard change is not one of them. Good riddance.
-
I kill myself on the hook every time I get legion. I'm normally very against people who do this but the legion rework combined with perk changes just ain't it.
-
I went up against a pig like this earlier. Two heads popped and I barely got mine off despite immediately searching. Might be a bit much.
-
I do wish they'd say something. I need to know if I have time to use the rest of these cakes or not.
-
Everyone who hasn't been prestiged is ready. The problem is I have 8 survivors left who I couldn't use all my flans on. I tried going full no life but it wasn't enough to use up all their flans before the update. I might be able to do 1-2 more but i'm just going to eat the loss of flans and prestige the others before the update. I feel like the prestige levels are worth way more than 30-35 flans per remaining character.
-
They need do something. Lately everyone just gives up on the hook or DCs when they realize it's a nurse.
-
No. I don't get why they want to reward bad players. There are still incredibly strong end game perks like No Way Out that don't just hand you a kill or two that you didn't earn. Getting downed with NOED will still feel terrible and make you question why you're playing the game.
-
People will adapt and learn to play smarter. The first month will be rough but it's not going to be the end of the world to not have it.
-
Raise her skill floor? She already has a high skill floor. It's her skill ceiling that's low. Once you have the muscle memory down it's easy to 4K
-
I wish I knew this before I grinded out at least 70 perks on everyone. Seems like I wasted a lot of hours and a lot of bloodpoints on nothing. I spent roughly 7 million BPs on survivor to do this. Burning through my flans in the process. It's basically prestige now and lose any addons, offerings, etc or wait and have to grind all the way to 50 again to get the same result as I would by prestiging. It's kind of a lose lose in my position. A bit disappointing really.

MMR doesn't even work lol. You can be a 30 hour noob and you will get matched with a 10k hour SWF so they don't have to wait. This suggestion to let them go to lower your MMR is dumb
It doesn't work well is more accurate to say but it does work to some extent. I would intentionally let people go on nurse when I was learning to play her. I got to a point where it was almost nothing but bedrock players. There was a big difference between that and my other killers where I always sweat to win. The number of bad players I got on those is significantly less. I also stopped getting as many bad players on nurse when I got better and started winning most of my matches.
-
It's not as miserable as they say. The reality is these people are bad at the game and need to make excuses about how unfair the game is to rationalize why they lose so much. If you get tunneled often then you are a bad player who the killer sees as an easy mark. If you don't win the majority of your killer games then you are bad at playing killer. It's an ego problem on their part. It's not easy to admit that you're the problem for a lot of people. Exactly the same reason why certain streamers can never admit they got outplayed and always blame it on the game when they lose.
-
Just give it time. People will realize how low BP gains are without BBQ and then they will flip a table. People complain that no one wants to play killer. I don't think cutting the BPs in half is going to incentivize people to play killer more. Literally no one is going to care about a tiny 25% matchmaking incentive. You get that from certain offerings that are relatively common. All they'll think about is how they could have had more with BBQ.
-
No. There is nothing worse in a game than being forced to sit in a long queue. This is the biggest reason why I hate the MMR system. I don't care what i'm up against. I just want to play the game.
-
Console players are more likely to be casual gamers. This has always been true. Why do you think professional gamers are always playing on PC? Lower barrier to entry contributes to there being more casuals on consoles.

@ShyPirate said:
To get P3 you need 170 total perk tiers.
3 pages of tier 3 perks would only be 135 perk tiers. 4 complete pages of t3 perks would be 180 tiers and would be enough for p3 after the update.
Here's the breakdown:
P1 for 70 -119 tiers
P2 for 120 - 169 tiers
P3 for 170 - 219 tiers
P4 for 220 - 269 tiers
P5 for 270 - 319 tiers
P6 for 320+ tiers (only survivor can have this many)
Also note that characters currently prestiged will get a bonus prestige level for each current level (so a current p1 would become p2, p2 would become p4, and p3 would become p6).
If you are a level 50 and have 70 perks unlocked does it just take you to prestige 1 level 1 or do you go to prestige 1 level 50?
-
They're bad because they lead to massive snowballs in favor of one side. The people who are most likely to use them are sweats. Sweaty killers and SWFs that go all out to win.
-
You guys realize a perk that makes nurse weaker is going to make everyone weaker don't you? It'll be even worse for other killers. A good nurse will just hold their attack when they see the animation. It'll just be a mild inconvenience. Even if they trigger endurance they will just immediately be back on you with range addons. What is an M1 killer going to do? This new dead hard might actually be worse for every killer due to all the distance people will gain from endurance. Hold W meta will be worse than ever.
-
I haven't seen hackers consistently since they did the ban wave. I feel like I used to get subtle cheaters every day. Nowadays I feel like I actually got outplayed when I lose as killer.
-
Yes. The game isn't fun when it's decided by perks over player skill. How many times have you dominated a terrible killer only to get hit by NOED and then get facecamped while your solo queue teammates bail? Such fun gameplay that is. How many downs did you think you were going to get until some guy pressed a magic button to dash into a safe pallet or a window? Too many to count.
-
Circle of Healing. I have no idea how it was ever given the green light or who thought it was a good idea.
-
A curiosity. Why do you still read the end game chat? Like why do you keep reading it and expecting a different result when you know what's going to happen?
-
There is literally no benefit to the matchmaking system this game has. It just seems to increase queue times and not do much else. I've been SWFing with my very casual friends and we just get sweaty killer after sweaty killer. Last straw was a sweaty nurse with both range addons, starstruck, and three gen slowdown perks. How are causal survivors getting matched with that in a functional MMR system? How are we supposed to win that game? We just decided to call it because we couldn't win at all when we were consistently going up against killers like that. That combined with the 5-10 min queue made it unbearable.

I get plenty of NOED users and ik for a fact I'm not at the "lowest possible" MMR lmao. NOED is a free perk on every killer that gets you free downs why do y'all act like nobody's using it lmao
Except this contradicts both unofficial and unofficial data. Even at the lowest level not even a quarter of killers are using NOED. At high MMR it's practically no one.

Err, we been knew, dead hard is a popular and certainly necessary perk with the current state of the game.
No it isn't. The big streamers who main survivor are perfectly capable of playing and winning without it which proves that it isn't necessary. People are just so dependent on it and are afraid to lose it because they'd actually have to learn how to loop without it.
