  • But it’s a weak and useless perk! Didn’t you know, survivors never get anything good!

  • I enjoyed her character in the show but Dbd players made me hate her in-game with a passion.

Anyways, I like Claudette just as my buddy @GeneralV does💜. She’s simply the best and needs her own Freddy cosmetic with a home made Freddy cardboard mask and butter knife glove so I can feel the general is with me in game.

Favorite female killer, it’s gotta be Tiffany. Shes so cute and I love her actress. She did such a great job in the movie and with her voice lines in game.

i actually hate that your tip to play one of the better killers is so true. with many of the killers i feel like you hit a wall sooner or later where you face competent survs that you cant beat with the weaker killers and you only way of improving is to change the killer

I do too, but with how this game is designed, it’ll be impossible to make weaker killers stronger without making the game absolutely miserable for SoloQ players.

It’s possible to make all the killers viable against SWF Death Squads, but core game mechanics will have to change and MMR will have to be a lot better at matching people, Killer lobby dodging will have to go so the back fill problem could be eliminated, and they’d have to attract new and old players at different MMR levels so there would be enough people at each skill level. That’s will be a lot of time and work and while I believe the devs could be up for the challenge, they’re beholden to the Bean Counters at BHVR.

  • No, I get it. It can be so frustrating, especially if they’re the type of killer to break chase and run to the basement the second an unhook happens, but it’s really not that bad if people stay calm and make good decisions. In my experience, the worst thing about it is 90% of the time the rescuer or rescued person steps into the trap that’s always placed at the bottom of the stairs. Like, that’s Trapper 101! YALL SHOULD KNOW BETTER!

But yea, the second you realize it’s a Trappi Boi or a Bubbi Boi, immediately take note of where the basement is and avoid it like the Plague.

The Dredge has a cool look to him. His gameplay leans a bit towards boring though. I feel like most killers in DBD are sort of boring excluding Huntress, Wesker, Blight, maybe even Nurse and a couple of more. I wish they did more experimental killers.

Yea, it does feel like the killers are rather stale when it comes to them having fun and unique powers. I think it has to do with the limitations of the current engine the game runs on.

  • No, part of playing as survivor is being aware of your surroundings and avoiding dangerous areas like the basement. It’s not impossible to beat a basement Trapper, though it can be frustrating with bad teammates(not a valid reason to neuter Trapper).

i am main killer for years, and there is no chance to get kills from premade, as i said, some restrictions like slower repairing, slower healing or walking for premade groups would be nice, its no fun for killers to play opposite premade groups

No, people will whine and review bomb the game, so it’ll never happen.

Also, if you can never get kills against a SWF that is a you problem, not them. Yes, top Sweaty SWF Squads are near impossible for the average killer to deal with, but they’re far and few between.

Learn how to identify the weak link and tunnel them out. Try playing one of the better killers (Chucky, Billy, Whiskers, Pyramid Head, Spirit, Artist) and see which one you like the most and master them. Play Darth Nea(Skull Merchant) and get easy games from all the DCs and early suicides you’ll get. Play Knight, though he’s not top tier and has issues, he’s good at keeping survivors busy and ending chases.

Also, go on YouTube and look up How to Play Killer videos for DBD. There are certain things like mind gaming and which way to force the survivors to run around a loop that you need to learn.

Or, just sink some time into Nurse and suffer with trying to master her and you’ll have easier games.

  • Because Julian is going to be a killer skin for The Unknown, hopefully.

Jill still has so many skin potential but yet, we are not getting anything. It's sad indeed.

I don’t care, I want a sexy shirtless Latin muscly hunk! He’s the only one I’ll play over Claudette. I’m sure Capcom would have no issues with it since they like money. They can just make it another Super Legendary cosmetic.

I love you and your huge bush, but I feel @WolfyWood has a point, if small. It does help killers who are trying to do anything other than simply win the game. But its not large enough to matter really.

I'd still not engage as bots are a weak talking point imo. Completely tosses out the human element so Im not interested. I've noticed a few killers in my time ignore bots completely and get screwed for it. So bots are kind of a threat still. That part DOESN'T help killers lol.

Their intended goal was to help SoloQ be a little less helpless when entitled players DC at the drop of a hat. If they were intended to help killers, they wouldn’t rescue and do gens. Yes, they hopeless sometimes, but the devs have to make them like that because there’s no fooling them with mind games since they always know where the killer is.

That poster is being disingenuous because they have an agenda against killers. They’re just not being honest. Sure, it can benefit killers, but that benefit is tiny.

    *Edit:

Also, my huge bush loves you too 💜

  • It won’t happen unless the player count tanks and the bean counters at BhVR give the Devs permission to rewrite the engine in hopes of getting players back.

They don’t need to make a DBD2. They just need solid code that takes into mind potential killer powers that may be introduced in the future (like flying, wall climbing), environmental obstacles like quick sand, mud, water (and whatever else they can think of), new game mechanics, more interactive maps and objects like ladders, mine cart that you can power up and ride across the map (just examples) and better character customization (I really want this).

    They also need better servers.

I know you are immensely survivor sided but lets here it, why are bots so beneficial to the killer? They do gen instantly if out of killer tr which genuinely is more than the average survivor, they dodge certain killer powers far better than you could and they have a couple of base line problems. But that's a lot better than nothing, doesn't matter if killer has pr/pop, you'd be lying to yourself to say that are purely beneficial for killers. Again I know you are super survivor sided but damn, every time you post it gets worse.

It’s best you don’t engage with that type of poster. Just recognize the name and realize it’s not worth the time.

  • I’m still waiting on a shirtless Carlos.

    IMG_4015.png

  • I’ll make you a deal. You can have your old disconnects and no bots and I get being able to spin like a pinwheel while slugged on the ground.

  • Nope. The dcer ruined the game for four other people and wasted their time. The DCer should have their time wasted too.

  • Rather than punish them, they should implement some code that keeps track of how often they Suicide when more than three gens are left and have matchmaking pair them up with like minded players. That way they can ruin each other’s games.

  • Better not. I’ll riot if they do nerf it.

  • @CountOfTheFog said:

I caught a Bill going down in the basement as soon as the match started as scratched mirror Myers. I literally grabbed him off the chest he was opening .

Must have given that player a heart attack lol

    I can't stop laughing 😆

My favorite thing in this game. I was mainly a survivor main for a long time and played killer when I got burnt out of having bad teammates. Then I had a taste of scaring survivors with SM Myers and I got hooked. It’s the most fun thing to do in this game.

  • Because the devs have stated that camping is a legitimate tactic and don’t want to outright remove it.

The anti-facecamp mechanic (along with basekit BT and the removal of hook grabs) does exactly what its name implies, remove facecamping and gives the survivors a chance at escape, not guarantee it.

  • Bush:

Transforms the user into a bush when crouched. If on an indoor map, you transform into something unique to that map (barrel, cardboard box).

  • Spine Chill:

Revert the nerf and let me waste Nurse and Spirits time like I used to.

    Borrowed Time:

Remove collision from the rescued survivor for up to 15 seconds.

Undying (it’s old in terms of gaming 😅):

Transfers hexes up to two times. If the hex is Undying, it transfers but the other two transfers remain available (will only be free once).

    Unbreakable:

Grants endurance for 7 seconds after standing up.

    Or

Allows you to bleed out 50% faster if you already used it to get back up.

    Or maybe both?

    Iron Maiden:

Along with the scream and exposed- Reveals Survivors Aura for 5 seconds after exiting the locker. Does not extend with Lethal Pursuer.

  • I don’t care that everyone hates her, but hopefully she’s not touched again until after they rework Freddy to be more fun to play as and against. They need to give him some buffs and implement his old playstyle with his newer one. Then they need to buff Trapper a little more and improve Myers add-ons. Enough spending time on Darth Nea for the time being.

  • @Blueberry said:

    Midwhich

Indoor maps in general. I think they’re healthier design.

    Old Spirit, as and against

    Slugging, as and against

Twins current design, as and against. She just needs buffs and QoL changes

Definitely know I’m in the minority with liking most this.

I like indoor maps only after I learn them. I hate them all on release because it takes me a long time to learn their layout.

I didn’t hate Old Spirit as long as I had Spine Chill before it was nerfed.

I’ve always liked Twins, even if they slugged a lot. Unbreakable is a permanent part of my build and I love when I get value out of it. I just hated facing them because bad teammates, but that’s a teammate issue.

I was there back in the day. Pale Rose was way bigger. Nearly as big as old Mother’s Dwelling.

I personally thought it was a nightmare and for one reason only: it has two docks. Size is whatever but having two docks was horrific.

Oh no! As a killer I’d probably afk if I got that map more than once a week. As a survivor I’d probably giggle every time I got it.

  • @GeneralV said:

The time when EGC didn't exist.

This is an extremely unpopular opinion around here, but I really dislike having a timer at the end of the game. Or having to 99% doors.

I think a different solution could have been found to solve the issue of survivors holding the game hostage.

I really wish they’d do like a certain Company that shall not be named and give us a Classic mode. I wanna see what I missed since I started with Demopuppys release.

Also, I’m not fond of long(or short) games and think they should be about 10-15 (maybe 20) on average so I’d be okay with them removing the hatch and just adding a timer. If the survivors don’t escape at like the 30 minute mark, they get sacrificed but the killer doesn’t get the points for their death. I’m sure it’s an unpopular opinion.

  • @not_Queef said:

I didn’t know there was an original version. I’m assuming they shrunk it then?

  • @Xernoton said:

I miss the old Haddonfield graphics. I know that new Haddonfield has objectively higher quality visuals but old Haddonfield had a better atmosphere in my opinion. I also miss the old Coldwinds. They were disgusting, ugly and overall very uninviting but that's what made this realm fit with the game so well. I remember a game against a Huntress that would hit all of us from miles away and it was terrifying.

I actually miss all the old maps. When they announced the reworks, I assumed that they would feel the same with just higher resolution textures and models with a higher polygon count. All the redone maps have lost what made them unique.

  • @Jay_Whyask said:

Take a hit if the killer is at the gate, leave if they aren't (make sure your teammates are safe first).

    Do not take hits for

    • Michael
    • Deathslinger
    • Wesker (injured)
    • Pinhead
    • Twins
    • Knight

Also if you have Distortion or Object of Obsession make sure the killer doesn't have Bloodwarden.

Correct, don’t give those killers a hit. Instead, they want you to run back in and give them a nice hug.

  • The main building is a pain for some of the low mobility killers other than that it’s a pretty fair map. It just needs some big rocks or something to make it easier for stealth killers to move around without getting spotted a mile away.

Also, please give us another snow map. It’ll be a godsend for some of your older players with less than ideal eyesight.

  • It doesn’t necessarily have to do with them being high MMR. They could just be a group of friends who are decent at the game. We really have no way to tell.

Now on to the subject, matches like what you described are why some killer mains just stick to the strongest killers like Nurse and Blight. If the killer knows the ins and outs of their power and how to chase, survivors have very little chance to “bully” them. Maining Pyramid head is a good choice as well because once you can learn how to get the survivors to stand in your trail, they can’t pick themselves up since you can just cage them.

I don’t really like describing it at bullying though because if they were actively progressing the game and not being toxic (t-bagging and pointing after pallet stuns) then it’s not really bullying. It may be frustrating for you, but it’s your job to figure out how to counter it. It’s no different from killers coming in with a slug build and survivors playing around it. Easiest method is to identify the weak link and tunnel them out asap.

  • It is probably a mistake and they’ll probably fix it soon. Nothing to get too worked up about.

  • I can’t stand her but I will admit she’s fashionable. I wish Claudette had some of her outfits.

I love playing her personally, but I do wish they would rework her condemn and instead give her a bit more chase power

and yeah she uses her power to do everything, from picking up survivors, breaking walls and gens and even injuring them (the kanji on screen when she attacks means “curse” so she’s literally just willing someone injured with her hand/ mind

I’ve always been a sucker for characters with psychic powers (Mob Psycho and Kyousuke Hyoubu). I may just have to buy her.

Maybe they should just scrap the “die if condemned” idea and give her to throw survivors into other survivors with her power (just spit balling ideas).

  • @steamed_hamzzz said:

    Sadako

her jump scare lobby animation, the TV static effects, her mori which mimics the movie scene, crawling out of TV’s, the fact she uses her power for everything and never actually physically touches anything in the trail giving her really unique pickup and breaking animations

all that combined with fantastic sound design makes her aesthetically the best killer in my opinion

I agree she is well done. I just wish she was more fun to play/verse. I didn’t realize she never touches anything!

It would be more fun for BOTH sides if that game was balanced around hooks instead of kills. You can also keep that element in place. My proposal has always been simple. Survivors share the FIRST hook state. Meaning that each survivor gets 2 hook states that are their own, but the first 4 are shared. Then, if you hard tunnel someone out, you have to hook them 6 times.

This means that you still can be "eliminated" but it won't start happening to the later half of a match. Then you balance chase times, gen speeds, pallet strength, killer strength, etc. Around this idea that you probably are going to have 4 survivors in the game for 60-70% of a match.

This would also have to come with removing the 4% mechanic, which is dumb anyway. It also means survivors can't just "give up" and remove themselves from the game super early screwing over everyone else in the process.

Yes, you’re right, but that’s only if the devs rebalance everything. I don’t see that happening anytime soon.

I was speaking from the perspective of removing tunneling and leaving everything the same, which is what most complainers seem to want.

  • Happened a while ago but I was against a Ghostie Boi on the Swamp map. Gates are open, I’m on death hook, he has me exposed and my teammates are running around like headless chickens. I didn’t know what to do so I 360’d him (a miracle because I’m really bad at it), crouched in a bush and he completely lost me. I didn’t dare move until the exposed wore off and made my way to the exit.

  • The entity’s opinion of me is irrelevant. I enter its realms of my own accord and I leave whenever I want. All I care about is inflicting as much despair upon my hooked teammates while they watch me self caring in a bush.

It doesn't remove all risk and the killer could still choose to chase that person. It just slows down the tunneling.

And you say the killer should still have a choice (to tunnel) but what about the survivors chance? Tunneling very often removes the chance of the survivor getting away. Especially when they're new. It's not just risky, it's a guaranteed kill. And surviving or killing should never be guaranteed. It should be 50/50.

Having DS proc after both hooks and being buffed to a longer stun (which is what I was talking about) removes a lot of risk and not just “allows the survivor to play a little longer”.

The survivor has plenty of chances in the game. Built in BT, teammates to body block and try to get aggro, sabotage and flashlight blinding by teammates, and perks like OTR and DS(despite what people say here, I’ve seen plenty of good survivors waste the killers time with it).

New players need the devs to make a proper tutorial of the ins and outs of the game for both roles. They also need to limit their matchmaking to only pair them up with players with similar play time. I’d go so far and say they should consider restricting some killer perks or only letting new killers play with three perks when they have less than 30-50 hours just because killers have an inherently easier time when they start of new against new survivors. But their choice in target shouldn’t be forced upon them nor should the game punish them. The survivors need to do that on their own.

You can blame Freddy's awful rework for that, my friend. Further proof patch 3.1.0 was one of the worst in the game's history.

That sucks. There was literally no reason to remove it completely. They could have implemented it to his animation when he sets blood pools.

I hope they give him a new make over soon.
