Ormond because it’s easy on my eyes and Ive always liked snowy scenery. I wish they’d make another map that’s not the top of a mountain, in the middle of the night with a starry sky.
I do wish Ormond had some bushes that I can blend into similar to the bushes on Mr Cowboys map.
I also like all of the corn maps.

Aw, I hate when they remove unique stuff like this!

Freddy, of course.
Very faithful to the remake, including his Mori. I also love how his power used to have Nancy's face in it.
That’s the first I’ve heard that. Are you talking about the pools of blood? Why’d they have to remove that?

Wry few killers have in game idle animations, I know her, spirit and demo do! But that’s all I can remember.
They all need it. Small things like this just make the game more immersive. I also wish survivors had unique running, walking, healing and gen repair animations.
-
@HexHuntressThighs said:
It’s gotta be Huntress for me! Her running animation looks like she’s on the hunt, the Mori is very good for being as old as it is with the axe getting stuck in the survivors head. Her idle animation where she sways backs and forth and tilting her head from sides to side while humming the lullaby is beautifully done. And when she reacts up an hatchet she straightens her head and arches back showing that she’s focusing on her target. Also extra bonus points for being so tall! She could have her own game in my opinion! Outstanding lore and story and honestly I think is iconic enough to have her own movie. Especially since there are so few iconic female slashers. I record everything single match I play against and as her because of my infatuation with the character. She’s definitely my Object of Obsession!
You know, I’ve never paid attention to killer idle animations. Ima have to start.
Also, I’d definitely play a 3rd person action game with huntress as the main character.
-
The only thing I consider toxic is cheating/hacking/using an exploit (such as body blocking someone in a corner) or bleeding everyone out when they can be hooked.
Everything else is just playing the game.

Actually I was just watching his animations in the lobby the other day and thinking how much of an amazing job they did of that.
OP I tend to agree, Pinhead looks amazing... I say that as someone who really does not enjoy playing against him very much as I find the chains irritating.
But yeah he looks fantastic
I like playing against him when my teammates aren’t afraid to do the box! But yea, a really good Mr Baldy can be outright oppressive.
@BlackRabies Yea, his walk animation could be improved but I blame game mechanics for it. I just pretend he’s floating.
I agree with you on the Knight. He is fantastic. The visuals, the music and sense of dread it causes and his mori are all great. I just don’t like how his hair sticks out from his helmet.

I love you when you’re a nice Feng main.
When you choose to play as the demonic goblin known as Nancy, let’s just say I’ll get banned for expressing how I feel. But you, as a person, I’ll still love you.
-
I haven’t experienced him yet, but from what I saw on YouTube, he is really well done. My only gripe with him is his carry animation. I’d have preferred if he grabbed the survivor by the hair and drug them to the hook.

Removing all risk from being removed from the match at any point in time would kill the game. It would get stale very quickly.
Dbd at its core is an elimination game. It’s designed to be frustrating in order to make the wins feel great and get your brain addicted to the endorphins that are released from that emotion. Without the struggle, things wouldn’t feel as good and we’d likely quit sooner than later.
Asking to remove the killers agency and to punish them for making the best choice (usually) is asking for a different game that isn’t Dbd.

I once faced a group of 4 blendettes, all running Distortion, Urban Evasion and a mix of various perks like Head On, Deliverance, Power Struggle, etc that have the potential to turn any killer game into a frustrating experience. And of course they send me to Dead Dog Saloon, a fun map when it appears randomly, but a hellhole of misery if send to by survivors with a plan.
They later told me in postgame chat that they usually goof around and hope for the killer to DC out of pure frustration. By some fluke of luck, I was playing Amanda's Letter Pig. It was still slow and meticulous work, but with the constant Aura reading I had at least a chance to burn through their Distortion and eventually corner someone.
It was minutes on minutes of slowly paced crouching through scrubs and patrolling out of the way regions, interspersed with rare, but sudden burst of intense chases. One of my bigger criticism of Distortion is, that a killer without constant aura reading or four aura reading perks has basically no way of burning through all the stacks, while they so easily regenerate.
Is there a way to make it more effective against killers running a lot of aura reading, while not gutting killers running a single one?
I don’t know the solution, but I personally always wanted Whispers as basekit. While it won’t directly counter Anti-Aura Reading builds, it’ll at least let the killer know the survivors in the general area.

As it should. If a killer doesn't like it? Target different survivors. Only those who tunnel whine about DS.
Side note, yes I know there are situations of DS not involving tunneling like you're chasing fewer ppl. Even then, the ones who complain are ones consistently getting DS, tunnelers.
No, it should not. Removing all risk of early termination from the match completely changes the game. The whole point of playing survivor is to persevere against a more powerful opponent. Removing the killers choice would kill the game.
And no, not everyone who complains about DS is a tunneler, that’s just a generalization of people who don’t play killer much, if at all. Back when it was prominent, I’ve had it constantly weaponized against me when I had no intention of tunneling. It was also used to punish me for not tunneling and giving the survivors an easy game all so they can use it after the gens are done to t-bag at the exit gate.

Well, back in its old form it was so prevalent and meta, that I actually respected it. I had a timer on my other screen and took notes when a survivor got unhooked, just in case they tried some aggressive DSing. And I had situations where I had two survivors downed and waited out 1min before I picked them up, just so that one wouldn't DS me and pick the other up, or had 1min to crawl around and maybe get hatch. It was a wild time.
Oh and one time I chased someone off hook, how had BMed me pretty hard. She jumped into a locker and I waited a full 60s before picking her up. Postgame revealed that she didn't have DS, I had essentially mindgamed myself, but DS was in full meta back then.
It made me stop playing killer when I got into higher ranks and every survivor had it equipped along with BT, UB and DH. People like to down play its aggressive use and say it’s mainly for tunneling but in my experience, it was almost always weaponized.
The only time I ever thought about tunneling was when I was down to two gens and hardly had any hooks and even then, I’d go for the unhooker. It didn’t matter because the unhooked would go for the body block or do the nearly completed gen in my face just so they can force it. Don’t get me started on how I was constantly punished for not tunneling by having them use DS to escape after all gens were completed. I’m happy the added the conspicuous action caveat to it.

These solo q threads are endless lately. The DS buff better be magical 🥴
People on here won’t be happy unless it’s buffed to work after each unhook and stuns the killer for 10 seconds.

Weirdly enough when they were changing matchmaking to see which system was better, one of those days I had really good games where teammates knew what they were doing. Shame that matchmaking system didn't get implemented.
I think there just too many bad survivors and the devs intentionally pair them up with better players( to the better player’s detriment) so they’d get carried a little and not have a horrible time.
-
It’s a decent perk. It’s only bad against me because I main SM Myers when I play killer and I will eat through all of your tokens!

@saym said:
The problem with solo queue is MMR.
Not necessarily. I do think it could improve but I think the main problem with SoloQ is the typical players mindset of playing it as a single player game with the “option” of being a team player.
People are selfish and prioritize themselves in SoloQ, especially the less skilled/experienced. Rather than go for hook saves or take chase, most would rather avoid the killer and hide or stick to a gen.
The other, larger problem is the entitled attitude that many seem to have. Someone get downed at 5 gens? DC or Suicide on hook! Killer or map not to their liking? Same as before. If you dare save them before they can go next, they’ll just sabotage the match or run back to the killer. I’ve had lots of matches where someone gets themselves killed on purpose and we still make it to endgame. They just have zero patience.

Yeah, getting rid of hook grabs was also huge. Good survs still know how to safe unhook with 2 ppl (except StbfL and insta downs).
(I don't think Billy got nerfed overall. Tho he's really fun to play and verse now, that's why you see him A LOT. He's the new Wesker!)
It was a small, but needed nerf to Billy. He’s still much better than he used to be.

Did ppl forget about basekit BT, the new HUD, anti-facecamp, anti 3gen and bots?
Also i find it silly that SWFs NEVER got touched. If anything, they got stronger with the "solo buffs".
Don’t forget no more hook grabs, nerfed Pigs traps and I think they recently nerfed Billy by giving him a slightly longer cooldown or something.

If Kate is anyone it's Julia Stiles.
I was an instant fan of hers since I watched “10 things I hate about you” as a wee lad. I hoped/expected her to be more prominent in Hollywood after being in the Borne movies. I’m sad she didn’t but I still love her.
I don’t see Kate resembling her, though.
If I had to pick a survivor that resembles her most it would be Feng Min. (Kidding 😈)

It’s a good concept that’s been poorly implemented. At the very least, they should remove the broken penalty. Traveling to the basement, spending time in the basement and losing a health state is enough of a penalty.

I really wish we can have a permanent mode. No gens, just hide and loop. Survivors can sabotage each other since it’ll be Everyman for himself. When there is one survivor left, hatch spawns and whoever gets to it first, wins.

This is fake news. There are only two Fengs, noobs who join you for every generator and miss every skillcheck, and toxic mean girls, and both of them have insufferable voice lines.
Your hate is understandable, just know that Feng still loves you

I used to hate Fengs because they were usually the most toxic to go against. Then they came out with the Bunny cosmetics and they somehow became the most wholesome cutie pies that made me want to let them all live.
Even as survivor, I found the Bunny Fengs would usually go out of their way to help someone. They softened my heart and I no longer hate them.
Mikaela is now the object of my hate along with Nancy. Ohhh how I hate Nancy mains.

Id be down for that.
It buffs Trapper. Gives Survivors some hiding places. Doesnt block Killer powers. And allows for fun plays on both sides.
It’s was a missed opportunity for the devs. Instead of ink leaking out of the map and into the sky, they should have made the bushes more beautiful, with no collision, and have the ink drip off of them. I doubt they’d put in the work to do it now 😞

Then remove collision from them and make them like the ones on Dead Dawg.
The dead bushes on Eyrie bring me nothing but pain since they have wider collision than they visually have and block a lot of powers. As Survivor, they dont have much room the hide since you can literally see through the them.
I agree with removing collision.
I’ve actually wanted that to happen when the map was released. I’ve also wanted them to have luxurious leaves made of ink that drip upwards into the sky.

I don’t think it’s stated. I personally think they’re different. Dredge is created by the entity and The Unknown came to life from negative energy that comes off of people’s emotions like how the Cursed Spirits are given life by negative emotions in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Bushes are vital to the game. Without them the game would die. I suggest we water and fertilize the bushes on Eerie of Crows so they can perform better.

More or less the same. Maybe alternate modes will be cycled through more frequently. Lots of goth girls and shirtless guys. People still whining about everything.
Maybe both roles will get a perk made basekit?
I just hope hex perks become relevant again.

one thing that doesnt leave my mind since i started dbd is a giant spider.roughly the size of a big dog and as a power it just have what a spider has:
-wall crawling/ crawling over walls in loops. ofcourse on cooldown and the crawling over a loop thing cant be to fast
-as a main power shooting a web. if it hits the surv is slowed and cant throw pallets if it doesnt hit it remains on the floor as a bog patch for x seconds and survs are slowed while walking on it but not as much as when they get hit.
as a bit of flavour the killer could web the survivor on the hook instead of actually hooking them
While I’d love a spider killer/power, even though I’m scared of them, some people have a legitimate phobia of them and other similar creatures and it would cause them to quit the game. The question is would it attract more players to make up for the loss?
-
@Caiman said:
A killer power that lets them hide in the ground and "swim" around, maybe they can go under pallets but not through windows or off ledges, and they can attack and/or slow survivors who walk on top of them. I've wanted an ocean-themed chapter for a while now, some kind of water monster could work for this.
Ghostface and The Unknown have powers that are countered by looking at them, how about the opposite? A killer that inflicts a status effect if you look at them too long. Not sure what that would be but it'd be an interesting twist. Some would compare it to Slender Man but I'd prefer something original.
I like the idea of the killer hiding in the ground and “swimming”. But rather than attacking survivors, they pull them semi-underground and have them get stuck for a set amount of time until they either dig themselves out or get rescued.
I would also like a shark killer that transforms the ground into water but the engine we have now won’t handle it.
