I'm convinced most Survivor players don't even like Dead by Daylight and strictly play it because they're addicted.
But also, a lot of Killers are the same. People really need to take breaks from the game.
-
Demogorgon should be 6.5 m/s. He’s a good boi and deserves the buff. To make survivors happy, a new emote will be introduced that will allow them to pet his head and scratch his neck.
-
I won’t be happy until they either remove the permanent Broken status and make it time based or make the user lose a hook stage (maybe too much, but I’d personally give up a hook stage rather than be permanently injured for the rest of the match and tunneled out).
-
Just delete her power and giver her one of these bad boys:
-
I still think the Broken status is too much for Weaving Spiders. It should either go away after they get hooked or have a duration of 60-120 seconds. Perma-broken is still too much.

Many seem to dislike going against Freddy, but he will always be my favorite killer, regardless if I am playing as or against him.
And I'll go as far as to answer Skull Merchant. I have fun against her when my teammates don't leave me alone.
I dislike going against Freddy because his current design is so unimaginative. I like that he can teleport to gens. I like that he can fake the teleportation as well. I love the blood gushing animation of the teleport as well. Visually, he looks good. But his M2 abilities are lackluster and I dislike the dreamworld only because it bothers my eyes.
I feel like he needs to do more while survivors are in the dreamworld. Like, preset traps on walls that have arms pop out and grab onto survivors if they get too close. He’s the master of dreams, they need to get more creative.
As he is now, any decent survivor can waste a lot of his time. Heck, with Lithe and WoO, I can waste enough time for a gen to pop and I’m terrible at looping.

I only hate nightfall because I hate anything that messes with my vision. It’s why I hate Clown and Freddy’s Dreamworld.
Other than that, Dredge is a good boi, even if he makes using Inner Strength terrifying.
-
No explanation needed. It’s too much work for them to properly implement better locker positioning on maps and they opted to take the easy way out by buffing her.
There’s also a theory they want her to be more beginner friendly, but I don’t buy it. Players should have to practice and learn how to play their killer of choice. An actual tutorial for each killer (and how to loop guide for survivors) would go a long way to improve the health of this game.
-
I like Nurse as long as she didn’t use a Midwich offering and isn’t trying to slug and bleed out everyone at 5 gens.
Tombstone Myers. The fear he instills is something this game needs more of. I also love it when Myers penetrates me with his huge pipe while wearing his hospital gown.
I like Bubba, even if they camp. It’s so delicious if we manage to rescue a camped teammate and no one gets downed. Or if they do, we save with a pallet stub or flash light save.
Mr Baldy is fun too if my teammates aren’t afraid of the Lament Configuration.

I can't blame the survivors though. Playing against her is just too miserable.

that aint the fault of no one the game in general needs to slow down remove tunneling gives like 20 extra sec of gen time it will fix this issue it's not a players issue it's a game issue ppl need to stop with the tribalism
Adding 20 seconds of gen time won’t stop tunneling, it’ll just make it easier to perform.

I really hope they do that they do something like this. Unfortunately, if they make a Claudette skin for the Unknown, there will be the racist nerdnecks that will use it to harass black streamers/players like they did with Bubba, which got the masks removed in the first place.
I wish this wasn’t true but knowing the online community, I know it is 😫. Maybe they can use another survivor skin and dress it up with Claudette’s cosmetics? Wishful thinking, I know.

In my imagination, I feel the best use of this perk is helping to finish the last 3-gens without needing to risk being at them, when the killer's patrol is at its most focused. The Broken status effect will also have the least impact at the end of the game. But the effect is currently too weak to justify, so I hope it is buffed.
But it will likely not be buffed before it goes live, because BHVR does not change anything immediately based on PTB feedback, at least not anymore.
I don’t think they’ve ever changed anything from a PTB, I was just being hopeful. And yes, I see this being most useful against a 3 gen situation.
Even if it’s endgame, being broken is still super dangerous, especially if the killer catches you in or near the basement. If they’re going to keep this aspect of the perk as is, then they need to buff it somehow.
-
@Quizzy said:
Nothing so far. But even then, the perk is worthless in a coordinated swf. The perk just has no real benefit when other killers usuall bring gen regression perks like surge or simply just kick gens to do away with a measly removable 15% charges.
I heard the beginning concept of the perk had it be like bnp where 15% couldnt be removed but they changed that for ptb. They should bring that back honestly. Otherwise nobody will run it like teammwork perks
They should have at least tested it with the “lock in” like the BNP and if it was too strong they could nerf it. Hopefully they make it more useful on Chapter Release!

I don't even like Chucky as a killer, and I can't say I've been a massive fan of the movies, but Jennifer Tilly coming in for the voice was enough for me to get that skin.
For me Yun-Jin and Amanda.
Jennifer Tilly is awesome. I feel like Chucky needs something more to make his power more interesting/unique. I wish he could climb up on stuff and launch at people like victor does.
The movies are “meh”. I really only liked the first two, but that’s probably due to childhood nostalgia. I was pleasantly surprised by the show, though it I didn’t think it was fantastic. I’d give it a 7 out of 10.

They could probably make it so that The Unknown desperately tries to disguise as the survivors by wearing their clothes, could be a cool alternative for making unlockable cosmetics like the Bubba masks.
I’d settle for one of Claudettes outfits (like the sparkly gold dress) and a fake fro. Maybe even make it try to imitate her voice.
-
I’m mainly hyped for all the potential “skins” the new killer is going to have. I’m hoping the devs would actually let it wear other killer skins along with their unique music tracks.
Id also like it to wear some Survivor skins. I’d love to be able to pretend I am Claudette as a Killer, getting revenge on all of my useless teammates, but I understand why they wouldn’t allow it.

Agreed. I can’t wait for that day, hope it happens sooner rather than later!
If killers hit you on hook while youre shirtless, then they’re just poopy heads or are just trying to cop a feel.

That’s the problem, you were “wearing” it when you should only be wearing just shorts or a speedo. Upper torso should be bare otherwise killers will hit you on hook in an attempt to remove your clothing and enjoy what’s underneath.

I am grateful for Claudette. She’s simply the best thing about Dbd.
I am also thankful of all the shirtless male fan art and official “Hooked on You” Trapper art.
-
It won’t be as bad as before as long as it’s only buffed to 5 seconds and the conspicuous action restrictions remain. If kill rates drop, then hopefully the devs don’t take the lazy route and generally buff killers, but instead only help the weaker killers so they perform better. Maybe they’ll finally make Trapper more viable and give him a machine gun.

Haven't played in 2 weeks. Sad to think that I might be done after 6 years. I'm just bored and want something more competitive.
Specifically regarding survivor, I don't want to have to form a SWF. I want to play solo. But the solo experience just feels completely contrived. The outcome is determined in the lobby. My input and performance usually doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if I go on a long chase and nobody does gens. It doesn't matter if I do gens and everyone goes down instantly or has zero game sense. I could not participate in the game, walk away from the keyboard, and often achieve the same outcomes. Going for hatch or the gate when everyone is dead just isn't that satisfying if you find the competition to be the fun part of the game. Cool, I got hatch. That still sucked. It's just not worth playing until they fix matchmaking or give me some transparency about MMR.
I don't feel like DbD respects the time I put into it. If I'm trying to be optimal and efficient, I should get teammates who are as well. That's basic matchmaking 101 in any game. I have zero options regarding my experience if I don't want to SWF. I can log in for an hour and have a very realistic possibility of feeling like every game was a waste of time. And for what? Why does it have to be that way? Out of every player on NA East when I queue, the best teammate match for a 4500 hr player is a sub 1k hr player who runs into walls? Just stop. Please.
I’ve been suspicious of their matchmaking for a long time, even before MMR with the old ranking system. It always felt that they’d intentionally mix good players with bad ones so the bad ones can get carried.
I admit, it could just be that my tinfoil hat is messing with my brain, but I wouldn’t put the thought past them.

I really don't understand the resistance to giving more features to survivor, so that decent survivors can actually use them.
Playing against regression/slowdown/3-gen requires more than the co-ordination you do with your solo teammates, at least last time I checked. Delaying someone being tunneled out also requires a lot more co-ordination than you can get from being solo. Knowing how to counter certain killer perks and letting your team know what they have as well, is also beyond the power of solo.
Like what is the argument here? League has a ping system and an ingame chat. Chinese DBD actually shows you what sort of teammates you're getting and the perks they're running (not 1 for 1 perks as in DBD). You can even try and co-ordinate because you can ping your team your location, ask for help etc. And despite all that killers are still stronger in general imo, because it's easy to ######### up. What is DBD's excuse for not including those features really? And what is your excuse for being against it?
They either don't know how to implement them or are scared to do so, cause killers do inflate their killrate over survivor's lacking info, which is stupid and there's no skill involved there. The survivors are already at a disadvantage over not knowing the killer. So much information denial that the game refuses to let survivors on the SAME team share amongst each other sounds conspiratorial.
You don't even have to care for it yourself and them implementing it won't affect you since you're ok with the state of solo survivor as it is currently.
I’m not resistant to it, I just don’t think it’s vital. If the devs decided to add it, great for SoloQ, if they don’t, meh, it’s not that important.
Nothing you mentioned needs more communication, it just requires experience and game sense.
Again, never said I was against it, just that more information isn’t necessary for a good match. If it was, then the game would have died a long time ago.
My point is, it’s not the lack of communication for SoloQs misery. It’s the fact that people:
- Suicide on first hook because they’re either impatient, angry the chase didn’t go as planned or are facing a killer/map that they don’t like.
- Hide and do nothing throughout the match because they’re afraid of gens.
- Throw the game because they tried to imitate their favorite streamer, thinking they’re just as good as said streamer.
No amount of information will fix the above and the complaints will continue until the day BHVR decides it’s no longer worth it to support the game.
League is not Dbd and mobile Dbd has its own issues with lack of precise controls with the fact that it’s mainly run on touchscreens.
The devs don’t have an agenda against SoloQ. They’ve been notoriously slow to do anything. How long did it take them to nerf DH and DS? How long after nerfing Moris did it take them to nerf Keys? It’s just how they are.

I think it's a silly argument to claim this game is team based with how little communication and co-ordination is allowed in DBD for non-SWF survivors. They only added the icons next to the survivors face like last year. BHVR is very resistant on giving solo survivors any kind of tools to co-ordinate etc. Otherwise you would have all sorts of features around it. You don't even have to add mandatory voicechat to it. I just think they're scared of it, so they keep solo survivors handicapped.
I don't even think the killrates would be affected all that much either if they implemented certain co-ordination features.
You can’t unhook yourself if you don’t bring in the proper perk.
You can’t heal yourself if you don’t bring in the proper perk.
You can’t do gens if another Survivor doesn’t take chase.
You can’t cleanse a hex if another Survivor doesn’t take the chase.
You can’t solve the Lament Configuration without the killer being distracted by your teammate.
It is not silly to claim this is a team game. Even with no information, before the active HUD, I’ve experienced plenty of matches with little to no direct communication to where we all did great in a trial due to our teamwork. All it took was a little game awareness.
SoloQ doesn’t need anything more than a “I’m going for the hook rescue” preset chat option. Even without it, using game sense, you can see when someone lets go of a gen and make the assumption that they’re going for the save.
The main problem with SoloQ isn’t communication, it’s matchmaking and Selfishness. SWFs main strength is being able to select your teammates and bypass matchmaking. Comms is an added benefit.
-
YASSSSSSSSSSS!
I’ve been wanting this for a long time! All items, add-ons and offerings should be shared across all Survivors! We should also be able to sell back stuff we don’t want if they don’t want to condense similar add-ons and offerings.
I hope it’s on their radar.

Do you think this perk is good against good and high tier killers, or only killers that are low level?
Because then Boil Over is S tier since it works so well against newbie killers.
The idea of a perk being good for survivors is that it is self-reliant and scales with skill against a skilled killer too. I think that's what a lot of people want especially if they're playing solo.
Because in a team setting other perks become a lot more reliable and strong due to co-ordination (like Deliverance, sabo strategies, Power Struggle). It's also why a perk like WoO is so popular for a lot of survivors (and I would assume a lot of solo survivors). Cause you don't have to rely on your teammates to get value out of it. And it's as useful as you are good at looping.
It may not be game changing or fantastic against the “high tier” killers like Nurse, but it can still be useful to waste their time with a well executed flashlight save.
Boil Over was never S-tier, it was just a frustrating perk due to poor hook spawns on certain maps. It is also countered by Iron Grasp or Agitation (except if the killer fell from a high place while carrying, I don’t remember if those perks helped in that situation). It’s also countered by slugging. Some people just wanted to complain because they didn’t want to change up their build with something to counter it.
This is a team based game with the option to play selfishly or you can consider it a solo game with the option to play in coordination with your team. Everyone is going to look at it differently. Not all perks need to scale for solo and teamwork. I do agree that there should be some more “selfish” perks for solo oriented players, but devs don’t have unlimited time to come up with them.
I do think they should at least come out with 2 perks a year that helps solo, but I understand it’s difficult to do when you have to worry about Swf abusing them. It’s the nature of the game it won’t change in the near future.
I also hope that they’ll be a bit more adventurous and come out with more one time use powerful perks for survivor that disable after using them, such as Deliverance and DS. Something like marking two lockers and being able to teleport between them once throughout the match, even if in chase.

Everyone was using MfT because it was a busted perk that rewarded getting hit (failing in a chase).
The point is good perk ≠ busted perk/popular perk. It’s fine for some perks to require a modicum of skill to use.

I don't understand this argument to be honest. In every game the majority of player base is considered "bad", especially the higher up you go. What makes DBD survivors uniquely bad compared to other players in different games?
Nothing, I agree they’re bad in other games too (I too am also bad).
The problem with Dbd is the game is balanced around the average (bad) player while others are balanced around good players. What the other games have going for them is proper matchmaking and having an easier time at balance while Dbd is impossible to balance similarly due to its asymmetrical nature.
Im not against the devs balancing for the general population, im just against busted things perks like MFT, old Keys, old Moris, old DH, (forgot the name but the gen perk that basically made it impossible for survivors to do anything after it procs) and old CoH, to make a come back. Unfortunately both sides want that busted stuff because it made them feel powerful.
CoL isn’t bad and it’s definitely not garbage. It is a good perk in the hands of a survivor that put in time to learn how to properly use flashlights. It’s not busted or completely game changing (except for this exploit), which is fine. Perks should take some skill or effort to use on both sides. Unfortunately everyone wants little effort perks for high reward (I’m guilty of this since I’ll always want old Spine Chill back but I understand the balancing reasons why it won’t come back 😭).

So i disagree with you. Content creators are doing that for anything new to exploit. This does not mean this perk is good.
No, you won’t see it often in matches because the majority of survivor players are bad at the game and can’t even properly use flashlights.
Just because it doesn’t do all the work for you doesn’t mean it’s bad.

I think the devs are too scared to try anything new.
I sometimes play the chinese DBD game and the killers there are much more unique imo. So I am not sure about the limitations thing. I think they're just scared, which is sad.
I would love it if they brought a killer from there as a DLC or something and maybe a survivor too. But survivors are harder to translate to DBD as they are much more unique than the survivors here. (I just want my girly Sculptor in DBD 😭)
It’s not necessarily the Devs. They have to get approval to do anything from their higher ups (I call them Bean Counters) and if the higher ups don’t see immediate monetary value, they won’t allow it.
It sucks, that’s the world of Corporations we live in today.

Every time a new perk comes out, content creators publish all kinds of "OP" techs and exploits with it, that's just clickbait for views.
Then everybody forgets about the perk because it's not good.
That super secret "infinite window tech" is already known, in fact it was used as clickbait title waaaaayyyyy before Champion of Light existed. Watch the intro of these 2022 videos, it's literally the same but with Fixated instead of Champion of Light:
I agree that they sensationalize everything, which is why I don’t watch most of them. But when it comes to CoL, my argument is that it’s not a bad or “garbage” perk like many on here are claiming it to be.
Sure, it’s not on the level of old MoM, DS and DH, but that doesn’t make it bad. Those types of perks should never make a comeback in this game.

So if it is good perk, why you were trying to prove your point with exploit?
My point was that just because people on the forums cry about a perk being bad, doesn’t make it true. Good players can bring out the full potential of a perk like they did in the video.
If it was a garbage perk as you put it, the player using this perk wouldn’t have used it long enough to figure out how to exploit it like this. They must have thought the perk had value to keep it equipped and experiment with it up until they found out it can force an infinite.

I’m not trying to gaslight anyone. It is a good perk. Just because you can’t make use of it doesn’t make it garbage.
