That's actually crazy ! Looks like max Frenzy speed ! :D
-
I used to struggle with not seeing scratch marks as well, and get quite annoyed at it (I still keep a liking to Spies From The Shadows from using it a lot on Legion initially).
The thing is, not seeing scratch marks is not that much of an issue when you learn how to time Frenzy : when you have a clear line of sight (no tall-walls jungle gyms) and that you're close enough that you'll catch up and hit them before they get to an obstacle.
Then, killer instinct does the rest and you don't need scratch marks anymore.
Once everyone is injured, you can use your power for mobility (unless you're using the pills), or if someone is looping you too well and you need to drop chase, pop frenzy to get a hit and have the other survivors' locations revealed to you.
-
Maybe start with a killer that's a bit more beginner-friendly ? Chainsaw users can be tricky at times, and if you're facing experienced survivors (as you're suspecting) you might be forced to revert into M1 if you're not used to your chainsaw yet.
I hear Wraith is a really good base game killer to get some experience on how to play killer and counter loops, once you give him better perks than his base 3 (that are pretty bad in my opinion).
I personally started with Legion, who is quite intuitive as well. His power lets you pressure pretty much the whole map and delay gens with Deep Wounds. Experienced players will tend not to heal against them as well, which essentially gives you NOED for the whole game. Clearly not the best killer the higher your mmr gets, but comfortable and pleasant to play (especially with range add-ons!).
-
0.5 second is already so short, players really don't need an additionnal delay on top of it...
-
I like playing them and going against them.
-
Seems legit.
Grabbing hitbox seems a bit narrow but like, it's his torso's width. It seems logical.
I think his known bugs should be adressed before thinking on increasing the hitbox. Some atrocious clips where we can see him actually going through a survivor are likely more of a glitch (impact just didn't connect) / aim dressing (looks closer than it really was) issue.
-
I'd love that music theme for chases / TR.
-
I've gone against maybe a dozen Wesker yet, and I didn't see any camping (save for maybe at 1 gen with his first or second hook of the game, which is understandable in my opinion) and very little tunneling.
In my experience most people were just chilling and trying out the killer.

Well, now is probably the time they would be least likely to be annoyed at seeing them, soooooo.....
*legion chase music starts playing at full volume*
*brings out all 5 mixtapes simultaneously, somehow* :D
-
I'm pretty sure I saw someone despairing over that Quick Thinking challenge a couple of weeks ago, so you're not alone in that glitch.
-
As it is now, 7/10 fun to play against in my opinion. Dodging him is fun.
If the hitbox gets much bigger, will probably drop in fun because less counterplay.
-
I really like swamp. Nice totem spawns as killer and nice coverage as survivor.
Also, different elevations make the place look cooler and less artificial.
-
I'd join in the effort to bring variety in there, but I have it on good authority that everyone hates Legion so I don't know how grateful people would be.
-
I think it would be fun if the lore-accurate survivor target had higher chances of being the obsession ! Some quirky roleplaying in the postgame chat is always fun as well.
That being said, if it comes to tunneling though, I'm not above finding lore-accurate means to cease playing against it, haha !

Bro idk which mmr im if there is on need of people always.
I would prefer 100% killer que but not gonna complain.
Oh believe me my guy, I'd love it if there was +100% for killer. It would be such a bliss to grind.
-
I mean, Wesker's running animation is also very goofy. I don't think I can take either of them seriously.

So does it work differently for killer than? Because every single person's killer has a different MMR.
I don't know how it works for the killer side, you're right. :/
Killer side might be just region like you suspected ? Or maybe an average of your mmrs ? I have no idea, sorry ! I'll see over the next few days if my friend and I have different killer values (if the incentives go back to killer).
-
SWF but soft. Soft SWF. Without the skill. Panics-and-leads-to-friend SWF.
-
@Biscuits said:
I don't know if the queue incentive is per MMR or just region wide. If it is like I suspect, just region wide, than you could still have instant queues at certain MMRs.
I believe it does vary slightly according to mmr.
When I started playing yesterday, my friend and I had different bonuses : 25% for me, 0% for him. We live in the same city but I have played a lot more than him these past few weeks, so our mmrs must have been a little bit different.
Him joining my group means he got the same incentives as I did, even though the game didn't have any incentives for him initially.
-
I've seen the incentives at 25%, 50% and 100% for survivor throughout yesterday's evening, varying between games. I also received the bonuses without trouble.

I found killer queues in my area last night to be longer than survivor queues and the bonus was for survivors. I'm not sure how they're going about it but there was definitely no need for survivors, only killers.
If killer queues were longer, that means there were not enough survivors for all killers queueing, which is why the incentive went to survivors.
-
Why are toxic players toxic ? Because they can. It brings them satisfaction.
Thankfully, truly toxic players (like, with actual mean intent rather than using cheap tricks for efficiency) are far from the norm, in my experience.
And yeah, survivor as a beginner is miserable.
-
Got a friendly Wesker in game yesterday, only two survivors left. We tried for 5 minutes to communicate that we wanted him to yeet us at each other in the Midwich corridors, but he didn't seem to want to :(
-
I don't know if the increasing rarity through prestige was impacted by the recent update.
I guess I'm lucky my favourite add-ons on Legion are yellow (pills and mural).

I still think they best way to fix it is a proximity point deductions when not in a chase and if they don't have Insidious. "Then killers will always Insidious camp" Run kindred. You can see the aura fade after they stand still. You can continue working on gens and then leave or go in for the rescue.
Until then Breakdown is actually a good anti camping and tunneling perk. It prevents the one for one exchange too.
Ultimately we should be prepared for them to continue to do nothing substantial and try to use new perks that they'll immediately nerf to appease the worst of the worst.
Proximity points deduction could work, but I'd be more enclined to a paused timer if killer is within a range and no survivors are in that same range (to prevent chasing around hook exploit).
The only thing with your suggestion to look for Insidious with Kindred is that currently it... doesn't work. The black bubble surrounding the hook hides the killer's aura long enough that you can't know if they do have Insidious.

And of course, you lose often because you did not camp.
You love to be a 🤡 for Survivors, loop them and eat pallets one after another, that's cool.
I personally find camping interesting, I do it as I see fit and it always works.
So in the same way people have to bring Lightborn locking a perk slot, Survivors may as well do the same. One out of 16 perks is not much.
I actually have more draws and wins than flat out losses, thank you very much.
Camp if you want. It's not like I care for your behaviour anyway, I'm not your parent.

Probably is, I haven't played for a few months so guess I just thought the skill checks were faster for some reason
You were hyperfocused to get back to the game, practiced them in your sleep, and now you're back as a skillcheck monster ! Only greats from now on ! :P

Feels the same to me.

Imagine being the Killer and having to do the same to chase, hook, kick generators.
Or worse, The Trapper having to go to pick up traps from the ground around the map for Survivors to disable them without issues.
Play The Trapper and then come and talk about one minute anything Survivor.
I do play killer. I play Hag. So trust me, multitasking and placing traps for the long game is not something I'm a stranger to, nor am I to long chases with a slow killer.
And yeah, I can talk about one minute Reassurance. Because I don't camp. Reassurance is a perk slot wasted against me. People get unhooked. Reassurance is only useful against camping killers, so I'm frankly not too concerned for it from a killer perspective.
-
It's stilll as convoluted as ever, too.
Mid-evening I had to switch to Deja Vu just to find gens.
-
Isn't the point of the perks to have some great combos sometimes ?
Plus if you're not in a small map / against a killer with a large terror radius, you'll actually have to work for those great skillchecks, which not everyone can hit consistently.
-
I've gone against 5 or 6 Weskers last night, all of them managed to use their ability a few times during the trial.
He's been out for less than a day, he just needs some getting used to, the same way new Blight or Billy players often revert to m1 after failing a couple of charges.
-
@Someissues said:
yeah survivors take 10 sec to find a match atm, but too many stupid teammates, funny when i play killer they are all Pro Survivors, when i play survivors all my teams are noobs
Yeah, that's classic DbD logic paradoxes.
The same as Hex totems always being well hidden when you're going against them, and always in the most visible place when you're playing them.
Same as complete swf being like 5% of total survivor players, but when you play killer you feel like every team is a well-organised 4-man.
-
I haven't had a Wesker DC today, most did quite well even though they didn't have their bounds mastered yet.
-
I played a few games against him so far, and when they don't have their bounds mastered, it's actually quite fun dodging the charges. Quite a few chases ended with M1.

No, he's fine as a killer. You can't compare Ada and Hunk like that.
Ada is a spy. She may not be a "good" person, but she helped Leon multiple times, albeit always with a specific goal.
Hunk is a cold-hearted killing machine. His surname is the "Angel of Death" or the "Grim Reaper". He's literally defined on the wiki as "Cold, Silent, Devoid of emotion, and ruthless". ( Source: https://residentevil.fandom.com/wiki/HUNK).
If Hunk is a survivor then so is Wesker.
Then let's make him a survivor as well. I'd love to see who has the strongest charge between him and Blight ! :D
-
I got the bonuses tonight playing with friends. It seemed the bonus was calculated in the group we made before queueing, as my main title screen said +25% on survivor and my friend didn't have any bonus in particular. When he joined my group, he got the +25% as well.
After a few games, as it got late, the bonus increased to +100%. It was still showing in group lobby before queueing, and to my knowledge we all received the same bonus.
-
People of all backgrounds and preferences are trying out the new killer.
Sure, RE fans who already mained Nemesis probably try out Wesker as well.
But there is no reason at this point to say they "jumped ship" or even to draw conclusions on who tunnels and camps the most.
-
I think none of the skins on DbD are worth their price, even / especially legendary skins.
This one looks really appealing, and if it was cheaper I might have bought it, but it would have been better if it had a proper voice and not Frank's (even though I like Frank), since it is not the Legion but Hunk.
I'd love to see it change the terror radius music as well.

Starstruck + Agitation has pretty obvious counterplay once survivors are aware of it: don't group up. If you are accidentally grouped up and someone goes down, run away immediately instead of going for flashy saves.
If survivors are running Wiretap + OH, how would you suggest the killer counterplay this? The killer cannot see the aura of affected gens like survivors do. Even if the killer knows the survivors have this combo, they have to guess which gen has it, and there will probably be more than one survivor bringing it.
You're comparing a situational perk combo (only works when a survivor goes down near another and the other survivors aren't smart enough to leave) with basically free map-wide wall hacks (30m is a huge distance for aura reading) that can't be effectively shut down. In the time it takes the killer to go to one gen and kick away the wiretap, a survivor can be putting it somewhere else.
14m is fine; 30m would be insane.
I'd be open to the idea of OH working with Wiretap if the killer gets some kind of information that it's active, like a periodic beeping noise coming from affected gens.
Isn't the wiretap destroyed if the gen is kicked ?
(I know the killer doesn't see auras of gens affected, but Wiretap is countered by pretty basic killer gameplay.)
-
Alright !
-
I wish I'd seen as many Hags. Right now I'm at 5 Twins, 1 Hag and that's not a ratio I like.
-
Guess Open Handed doesn't increase all aura reading abilities range after all.
-
I don't think so. You need to consistently hit great skillchecks with it, so you might take the risk of exploding your gen though. But in theory, gens are done faster.
-
Revert it. Blast Mine is literally one of the perks I see the least that I think are the funniest when I play killer. And those survivors earned their blast mine, they shouldn't have to start it all over again.
-
Should work once per hook state, and work for longer to make it worth it to leave your gen.
-
Can confirm, Third Seal is underrated by everyone.
Even survivors will sometimes not look for it because it doesn't seem worth, but it works like a charm to delay unhooks/raise and prevent Windows.

Pretty sure the [Trusted] tag is there because a "Trusted" person commented, not because of any opinions expressed or number of upvotes on said opinions. Same as when a post has the [Mod] tag, because a mod answered a question (or told everyone to calm down).

Got into the game to play with friends, so I started out as exclusively survivor.
Got frustrated and bored, and sometimes my friends weren't there and I don't want to mess with SoloQ, so I tried out killer and liked it.
Now I'll play survivor if friends are online and killer if they're not, roughly 60 - 40%.
