I do run into it often as survivor, but I don't think it's that busted. I can generally go for safe unhooks (unless killer is camping), and most of my downs are my own fault from either bad dodges or unsufficient game knowledge when it comes to maps and tiles.
When I play killer, it does feel really nice to play with it, like a really good quality of life buff, but since I tend to play more "hit and run" killers (currently Legion and Ghostface), I don't really tend to keep in mind who the obsession is and I'd rather bring aura perks or a gen regression instead.
-
The number of times the game thinks it's funny to send me here as Ghostface is almost irritating.
That being said, it's a really beautiful map. I like it.
-
This. Many people already reported this in the feedback section of the forum, but it hasn't been acknowledged to my knowledge.
-
Thank you for explaining patiently and clearly ! I feel like I understand better how the system works.
-
If they're actually good at it and buy time for a few gens, accept to be healed when offered (to get longer chases), and don't just follow killer around when killer loses interest, I'm more than okay with them.
If they're the kind that DCs if the killer doesn't chase them, that refuse to do gens once killer has lost interest, or that are plain bad at chases and will just take their two 20 seconds and then die on hook to get into a new game (and repeat the process), they're a dead weight to the team.
-
Generally at least one person in my games brings it. Whether they manage to hit them is much less consistent haha !
-
It feels like it's finally viable grinding as survivor, around the same amount of bloodpoint per match on average than playing killer.
With the ratio, it will most likely remain like this most times, which is not bad in my opinion.
I hope the killer queues get eventually on par with survivor, but I don't have any objection to the bonus being more on survivor since it's more of a harmonization of bloodpoints gain than anything else.

People were using such addons just for mem builds, Nurse have similar with 1 blink only. Unfortunatelly you can't play on a high-caliber with such builds.=)
If everything, I know that hag has 2\3 most irritating addons, it's Rusty shackles and Dried cicada \ Necklet. I stopped using shackles, since survivors were constantly DC from my matches after 1-2 downs. They were actually refusing to play at all. Only a few games I was able to play till the end with all 4 survivors. But they didn't escape tho...
So I got rid of this addon, and now... Almost every single game with hag people at least playing till the end without dc, I'm pretty fine with that.=)
I started playing killer maining both Hag and Legion, and surprisingly I get consistently more DCs playing Legion xD

She can be 4.5 with an iri addon, but no teleports actually worries me. xD
I don't know if it's sad or hilarious that half of Hag's rarest add-ons prevent her from teleporting xD
-
I personally find Hag really cool to play against, but that's also because I actualy play her as well.
I wish I saw more of her to be honest.
-
Not exactly solo queue, since I was in a duo, but our two teammates were solos.
Gates are opened, my friend is downed and on death hook. One of the solos is decent with a flashlight, and manages one flashlight save. Friend runs towards the gate, but didn't expect the save so he's a bit confused and gets downed again. We all run towards the hook killer was running to. Solo 1 baits a hit and pulls it off, Solo 2 takes a hit, I crouch under hook and killer somehow misses me and hits Solo 1 instead, friend wiggles out, and we're all running into a line with me (only healthy survivor left) at the end running left and right to block the killer from running past me and straigth back at my death hook friend.
That was the smoothest coordination I've experienced without being on comms with half the team (or them being on comms together).
-
Kind of fun, because it varies heavily and you'll sometimes go through 5 hours of pure unfun before you eventually fin your fun again.
-
If I see someone actively trying to sandbag their teammates I'll go for them instead.
Last night, RPD game with Legion (which feels horrible, by the way), two Kates didn't feel like playing th game out and DC'd/unalived on hook. There was only a Claudette and a Jake left.
When this kind of situation happens and there is no hope for survivors (4 gens left in this case), I'll generally turn this into a friendly game where I'll down them and bring them to each other or "help" them repair gens.
But this time, the Claudette had somehow found a pink key in a chest and when she saw that I accepted her surrender, refused to do any gens and tried repeatedly to lead me to the Jake, who was trying to crank the last gens (and who eventually did, since I had no intention of sacrificing him as Claudette clearly wanted), so that she could get hatch I guess.
Guess who escaped, with a few bonus pallet stuns because he asked nicely ?
-
Had two survivors do the same thing after an extremely tough start of game for them where their first two teammates were hooked super quickly (one spawned right next to me, other was grabbed at the nearest gen).
The two remaining hid in the basement of Grim Pantry for a while, but didn't think to look away when I roaming around stealthily (Ghostface) so killer instinct gave them away.

it was 10. It was bugged then. They should disable it if its bugged so people dont waste their time but Im probably gonna see a friendly bubba before I see something like that. :/
A Bubba gave me hatch last week ; there is always hope !!
But more seriously I think it's bugged. Several people complained about it for the past month.

Pills and Mural are the funniest addons to play as Legion, definitely my favourites.
I personally think they're fine, since Pills slow you down and remove Legion's ability to use their power for mobility and gen pressure (which is usually one of the advantages on Legion : seeing Discordance or Iron Maiden or the gates pop and zooming there). Pairing it with Mural means you're dedicating your two addon spots to yellow addons as well.
Plus, any missed hit puts you out of Frenzy. I've been taken out of Frenzy on the 4rth chain by a good 360 or locker juke before, so it's not completely uncounterable.
I also don't think chain hit downs should be that rare. Legion has been reworked to make them possible precisely because otherwise their power is either on the weaker side, or counterable by not healing, making them a purely m1 killer and not that fun to play. We wouldn't deny Artist her crows or Deathslinger his shots because their power working as it's supposed to should be rare.
For me, a lot of the fun of playing Legion is going for long chains, which is almost impossible without Pills on most maps. So chains are already rare ; made possible by an add-on. Which is why in my opinion the add-on is fine as is.
I respect your opinion, but I have to disagree !

--Another important tip that should be mandatory reading before you play solo q--
DO NOT immediately race your teammates for unhook!
You have a whole a** minute that could be spent finishing gens if the killer isn't on you!! 9/10 games as soon as someone is hooked (including me) I immediately see all 3 survivors sprint like it's the goddang daytona 500 to get the unhook and waste all that gen time. Kindred or no, gens come first. So stay on them as long as possible, especially if it's a first stage hook. Most of the time, the killer is proxying anyways and waiting to get a trade...Please don't give it to them.
While I do agree with this point, the thing is when I/my teammates take our time for the rescue, the killer often punishes that by coming back to camp the hooked survivor into second stage. So it's often at a situation where either the rescue will be early and not the most efficient, or late and unsafe.
-
Tag yourself, I'm "I can't freaking find one." !
RPD really made me put Deja Vu on again.
-
No can do.
I like giving hatch. It's my way of saying gg after a game where survivors did their best. Plus, that last survivor gets more points for escaping than I would get sacrificing them.
When I'm playing survivor with my friend, we're always happy when a teammate gets hatch. It's a balm after a rough game, killer was merciful. Sometimes after a rough time in mmr hell it's nice having a killer give you hatch.
-
Is it throwing ?
Sometimes.
Should it be throwing ?
Never.
It's just that currently, doing any other objective than gens is often awarded with a hatch game, since gens take longer and chases are shorter.
-
*Sad Legion main noises*
-
Can't blame some people for getting a bit embarrassed. I don't say gg as killer either when I've been utterly destroyed, unless there were some really awesome praise-worthy plays that I can't help but compliment (well-organized sabo/Head On saves or protection hits, if one of the players was a great looper, this kind of stuff).
Same as survivor. If the game was lost but at least felt fair to me, I'll say gg or preferably a more specific praise if the killer did something that stood out to me (99'd stalks, crazy preshots, having an interesting build, great gen pressure, etc). If the game was really short for one reason or another though, I might not linger in the postgame chat and just move on to another game.
-
The incentives certainly help, believe it or not. Less people would be playing survivor if they weren't here, so killer queue times would be even worse.
Unfortunately, they're still not enough to make a lot of solos and casuals want to play survivor.
It's unfortunate that survivors having a really bad time playing makes killers as just as frustrated.
For what it's worth, I had a brief +50% bonus on killer this evening.
-
35 minutes.
Played against a Demogorgon with Overcharge, Call of Brine, Pain Resonance and Surge.
Guy would not commit to chases and just do hardcore gen defending.
After a while, with 1 gen left, 2 people dead, guy alternatively slugged the remaining two, picked them up, let them go to try and find the second survivor, slugged them again, until both of them eventually bled out roughly at the same time after something like 6 or 7 minutes of nothing happening.
-
I would low key love if that happened
-
You can try and hole the killer if you're on the right map.
-
I mean... Survivors are also dependant on perks.
Perks are what makes the gameplay viable on both sides.
-
My current build :
We'll Make It - really good healing perk, for clean unhooks.
Lithe / Dance With Me - To escape chases (doesn't work often, but buys a little bit of time)
And then either Kindred, Alert, Deja Vu, any quality of life aura perk.

No you don't get to stop to conversation after making false claims about me. I can't believe I'm forced to defend myself for using a perk once in a match, but here it goes. I suspect you are trolling me and you know what, you have upset me. If that was your gaol congrats.
First off, I wrote CHALLENGE, not daily. There is a challenge in Tome 2 page use called "Head on Collision" that requires you to stun the killer once using Head on. Secondly, I was already in the locker because I heard the killer 's TR and I had Empanty on so I could see the direction the survivor was coming from. I gambled they would go past my lockers as it was the halls of Midwich.
Look I agree I don't think we should spam this the thread any more but I'm actually really curious and would love to get to the bottom of why you are so insistent on claiming there is somehow more to the story when it was a benign story about using Head On once. As I wrote give me a good argument as to why it is toxic to stun once. How about you send me a private message and we can discuss there. I'm open to having an open discussion but I don't think you are. I don't think you will though because it seems you just wanted to pick an argument with me and troll me and have no actual position orr want a real discussion.
Let it go, friend. They clearly have a strong opinion about it, and it probably won't change. If anything, them being so passionate about Head On tells more about them than it does about you.
For what it's worth, I do agree that Head On is not toxic, let alone one single stun. It's just a perk. I've been in a couple of games as killer where a survivor would Head On me multiple times throughout the game, whether for saves or to draw aggro. Without BM-ing otherwise. Is it annoying to get stunned ? Yes. But could I have been more cautious around lockers ? Also yes. It baffles me how can people just assume a perk as a whole is toxic, and by association anyone using it under any excuse...
As was said before, some people take these things way too personally.
-
Just because a perk is popular doesn't mean it should be nerfed.
The devs adressed the mismatch in power among perks that was at the origin of the shake up. Now that it's been dealt with, if people want to run the same perks, for whatever reasons, it's their choice.
-
Unpopular Opinions ?
Talking in terms of Tiers is boring, unfun and unimaginative. Especially when it's about a killer that hasn't fully come out.
-
Is Clown really that bad ?
-
Longer duration or shorter cooldown would be perfect.
I've been using Lithe + Dance With Me for a few weeks and it helped me escape a few chases, but it could do with a little buff.
-
Oh I'd love it if there were perks that could inflict status effects to killers.
-
As survivor, the map feels terrible as well. It is so easy to deadzone yourself there, and if you don't know the houses by heart you'll most likely get hit as you're looking for somewhere to vault.

"Guys teabagging at the gate before escaping ? Now that is mean. But I really don't see it that often."
Really? You must be one of the rare few or you're killing everyone before exits are powered.
Since the update I rarely struggle as killer (as my main* I still have trouble learning new killers of course), but that's because my mmr was quite low to begin with. Now that it's gone up a bit, I'm starting to get more teams that actually power the gates or escape.
I rarely see genuinely toxic survivors. Most times if I run into teabaggers, either they die before the gates are opened because they're not actually that good at chases, or they let up on it when they see I'm playing chill.
Same, I'm sometimes running into extremely good survivors, that could loop me for days if I let them, and who manage Head On rescues and such, but they're rarely the kind to teabag or click. They're just better than me, but they're not being ######### about it, which I respect.
My friends often joke that I live in the good timeline... I'm not complaining haha !
-
I have a soft spot for default Dwights and Leons. They often look a little bit confused.
-
I don't go against many Weskers, but all of those I see have Starstruck, and it gets old really quick.
-
On one hand, I feel sorry for you, on the other, seeing Bubba on a survivor team is hilarious.
-
Probably Frank.
I'm a bit soft for Wraith as well. Maybe Nurse and Artist.
Not in a dating aspect, but I'd love to be friends with Sadako. She's so small and cute. Probably great for hugs.
-
In my opinion, it really depends on the context. As a fairly friendly killer, I separate teabag from happy crouch.
I rarely get tilted at teabags, because I see them more often as a form of expressing amusement than any mean spirit. Like yeah, that reverse pallet stun was really bullshit and funny, that warrants a little hilarity. I'll headbang with them to show that I'm amused as well.
Or the survivor getting stuck at a window because they didn't anticipate Bamboozle, yeah that's funny. Teabagging then is more about laughing than anything else.
Same with games that become more about memeing than winning, there's plenty of happy crouching then.
Guys teabagging at the gate before escaping ? Now that is mean. But I really don't see it that often.
-
I don't know for full time solo q survivors, but as someone who's mostly in duos, I rarely take any rare items in matches. Only browns or maps.
I'm a bit of a hoarder with a fear of losing good items without getting a chance to use them, so I mostly go either without items or with brown items without add-ons.
(Pretty much the same as killer too, I have a stockpile of green and above add-ons, that I never use just in case someday I might need them more I guess...)
-
From survivor perspective : I see them extremely rarely, I don't particularly like or dislike going against them. As a result of seeing them rarely, I don't really know how to play against them so you'd probably stomp me. But I do enjoy variety enough, so it's always nice seeing new faces.
Also, last time I saw them a few days ago, they were either AFK or extremely glitched. It was on Pale Rose, we heard the switch to Victor instantly at the start of the game, but they never moved. Charlotte had her back against crates and immediately in front of her was a tree, with Victor sandwiched between the two. None of us could kick Victor from the sides and the tree was blocking his front. Phasing into Charlotte didnt' allow us to kick him either. They didn't seem to be looking around, and they didn't DC, so I thought they must have been afk, but at the same time it felt weird that we couldn't kick, so we thought she might be stuck. We never got our answer from endgame chat, so it remained a mystery to us.

In my experience ? Mh...
Top 3 campers
1 - Bubba
2 - Ghostface
3 - Nemesis
Top 3 tunnelers
1 - Nemesis
2 - Huntress
3 - Hillbilly

My friend and I are in France, and we get matched up both with players from UK and eastern Europe. I'm not sure how servers work.

I think most worth it is Baba Yaga Huntress since she also has unique lullaby along with menu, animations and voice. Unique lullaby is almost something like terror radius but different.
I agree. The Baba Yaga skin is the most refined skin in the game in my opinion, and the closest to being worth its price !

My highest prestige character is prestige 4, so I haven't noticed really how much better loot I get.
While I appreciate having less brown add-ons, I dread the day I'll be at a higher prestige where I won't have as many yellow add-ons. For some killers, yellow are the same as brown but with better numbers, but on my main, Legion, yellows have unique effects that I like more than higher-rarity add-ons.
