that may be true i dont dare to talk about if a kill or a escape is "deseverd" when its a strong perk that is helping cause i believe that argument could be made for a number of situations where the kill or the escape would have failed if not for perk x.
i only wanted to highlight that thinking noed is bad because it is a endgame perk and that the killer does not deserve a kill or a powerspike from an perk because the gens got finished is utterly stupid cause the gens getting finished should be the normal.
from what i see with friends and streamers that mindset has also creeped into the killers. demanding buffs and nerfs and getting called bad cause gens get finished and one or to survs get out when that should be the normal middle ground
Yea but for the most part all survivor perks get disabled end game that help an escape. The real problem though is its just overall making you worse at the game. people will gain mmr because of the perk then complain when they get pub stomped into the ground repeatedly because they're really not supposed to be in that mmr. NOED is an old perk and it worked a lot better in the old pip system and it shows. There's not to many other perks that boost your mmr like noed end game perks like remember me or no way out make you earn the perk. Noed just lights up and is supposed to be a incentive for survivors to go do bones but instead it ends up just being a crutch perk at end game especially if the killer hooks next to it. If noed only lit up say if you hook 2 survivors during the match then id say it would be in a better spot.

Trickster isn’t weak. what the flip lol the rest I agree with.
He's pretty weak might as well play huntress instead. More skill expression, cooler trick shots, medium strength, and way more fun cosmetics.

thats the wrong mindset. noed is not a reward for failing to protect gens its a end game perk its designed to only work at the end and pls remember in a normal game where both sides have the same skill lvl and expirience the gens should get finished.
if the gens dont get finished that means the the diffrence between the survivor skill and the killer skill was to big.
where does that sentiment come from anyway? do people want all games to be either a 4k or a 4e cause the same logik come into play when people talk about adrenalin (no i dont have a problem with that perk) and people say "well dont let them finish gens then" its like people want stomp fests
Well the problem is as killer it makes you a worse killer I remember when I first started playin I relied on it a lot to get at least one kill and I never got better until I took it off because like the above poster said it was a crutch. I would sometimes get 2 3 or 4ks that I didn't deserve especially in early games where survivors didn't know what was going on. Most of the times I didn't even deserve a 1k but BHVR keeps it to keep killers playing because it can give them the gratification of that one kill. Which is the problem they are having with survivor retention because of tunneling.
-
This is a joke btw the game is pretty balanced. Well kinda lol.

It's still a bad design, but at least it's not as bad as it used to be.
BHVR dosent like it when the killer gets destroyed.

I don't think it's good that this addon rewards a killer for playing bad with free kills at the end. Even when I'm playing killer myself. I just faced a good team that should have been a 0k for them, but thanks to this perk I was able to turn it into a 3k. It just doesn't seem right.
Perk can be easily countered its not a good perk. the most it should result in is a 1k unless the team gets greedy.

I'm a bit conflicted about this. It would be nice to have more feedback about what just happened, but at the same time it will make some already niche perks weaker (PWYF for instance would be hurt pretty hard).
If they do add it though then it would only have to be something simple such as making the characters lower legs and feet have a slight yellow glow effect to them. And then you could make it red when they are Hindered.
not a bad idea I actually think this would help new players and solo q. In solo q knowing someone has pwyf would be very useful since there are no call outs. Would also benefit killers by knowing to stop chasing MFT.

They tried an official e-Sports Tournament for the second anniversary and it didn't go well. They've kind of stayed away since. MintSkull made a video about it. Cant link it due to the thumbnail containing censored words, but search his YouTube channel for "Tournament in DBD History" and you should find it.
Its hilarious to watch. Didn't shroud uninstall the game immediately after?

@Commander_Nefarious said:
i think that would go a long way, an effect such as blighted serum trail, like if survivors have hope or get injured, and if killer has noed or play with your food, etc.
lots of perks reveal themselves to the opposite side such as champion of light, or dissolution, so a haste reveal wouldn't be an entirely bad idea. its a good qol addition.
it would also help clear doubt of whats going on.
Wouldn't mind it if its on both sides.

I just don't understand how people enjoy facing Skull Merchant when stuff like this happens so often. They got outplayed at the most unsafe loop on RPD and got rewarded for it??? Yes, the survivor could've crouched, but they would have got M1'd anyways since you need to compensate for server lag and crouch for longer than necessary due to it. Can you even argue that it's avoidable?
The killer is trash. Also takes no skill that's why people use her and that's why she has the highest kill rate in the game. Put up drone next to gen go undetected chase get boost when someone enters drone other player gets broken cause looping lol. Thats her game loop.

Yes, tunneling is needed sometimes, bro in all honesty some survivors just need to stop being so entitled. They want to block out a entire strategy because they feel like they would win a whole lot more games if the killer couldn't tunnel lol. Which is true, but they try to paint this false narrative that spreading hooks can compete with gen rushing 😂.
"How dare he gets a chance to beat us when we all brought tool boxes to gen rush, that shouldn't be possible!"
"How dare i use the perks that help counter tunneling, Anti tunneling should either be basekit or a perk that makes me immortal for 20 seconds"
"Its ok if 2-3 gens pop at the start that's normal! just run around running them off gens and kicking them until u hit the regress limit"
"i shouldn't have to last in chases to counter tunneling! It doesn't matter if I get downed 15 seconds after the game started. its not my fault because he tunneled"
Like honestly the entitlement is insane.
It really has nothing to do with that the point is even if a killer gets gen rushed they get to play the game. A survivor on a hook literally doesn't. I have a lot of friends I bought the game and out of all of them only one stayed to keep playing for the simple fact they just get tunneled out. That's good if you want to have the same player count forever but if you want more people to play the game has to be fun.

Could you show me that in a video? I will point out how the survivors were at fault.
Even in an elementary school, if the survivors are serious, they can attack two gates at the same time and there is nothing even a nurse can do about it. Nurses are only good at chasing a single survivor, and after all, they cannot stop multiple survivors at the same time. Since the content is so immature, I can point it out in writing, but I can point it out in more detail in the video.
Even in my area, there are skill differences between players, and sometimes there are survivors who are helpless, but even compared to that, I honestly felt that even the knowledge of gate battles here was disappointing. You are speaking based on people who clearly have no knowledge. That's why the stories don't fit together.
I'm so tired that I don't have the energy to talk anymore. Please insult me. I won't argue anymore. If you all think that will improve your play feel.
What video it was a first hand experience. Yes im sure Supa Alf and Vulpixia have no knowledge at nurse its not like they have thousands of hours just maining her or anything. You need to speak for yourself and say you cant win after 3 gens pop. There are plenty of killers that have the skill to come back after 3 gens pop.

In the current environment, if you complete 3 gens before getting 1 hook, the killer has no chance of winning. From there, as long as one survivor touches the generator, gen powered is inevitable. The exception is unless top tier killer (in which case 3 gen completion won't happen) or your previous chases have turned key areas of the map into a scorched wasteland of pallets.
It would be fine if all the survivors wanted to skip the generator and rescue the survivors.
Lol you must be at low MMR ive seen killers wait till all 5 gens are complete and obliterate the survivors with an end game build with nurse. Thus the name SNOWBALL. Played against both alf and vulpixia on dead dog trust me its not much fun.

Yes, so it's a result of bad survivors not doing their jobs and holding back survivors who aren't. It's just that too many survivors don't work.
In fact, life as a survivor is extremely comfortable if I have the right people to work with, including me.
The best survivors swfs in the world aren't doing what killers are doing not even close not even a quarter of what they're pulling off. Your git gud theory is nonsense unless your telling the best SWF team in the world they need to do better lol. Even with the worst killers in the game streaks are in the hundreds.
-
@C3Tooth said:

Survivors also have 3 other people who can take hits or even deny hooks.
If a survivor got tunneled out at 5 gens, the team of survivors messed up.
That literally contradicts your first argument.
-
@Krazzik said:
I mean 4-man SWFs can go on streaks just as long.
Not even close to the amount a killer can the most is like 350 on survivor by the best comp players in the world. Alf is currently on a 1100+ streak.

But this also applies if you chase someone else? This does not benefit tunneling in any way? Also when face camping was still happening more often the killer would walk out of a match with sometimes less than 10 K BP and it still didn't matter, so your point is off regardless... BP are not incentivising players to not tunnel camp or slug.
Face camping doesn't let you get multiple hooks which in turn gives more points.

@xltechno said:
I haven't confirmed it properly myself, but it seems that when a player with a winning streak as Sadako connected to the Asian server and played, the gate opened after just the third game.
When I heard that, I thought it was quite possible. This means that there is little awareness of the completion of generators among international survivors, and simply by overcoming this, it will be easy to keep the killer away.
The devs are fine with it hell alf is on a over 1k win streak
-
@sinkra said:

They get points no matter how they play. They don't get more points for tunnelling, so how does a flat increase in BP earned become an incentive to tunnel?
Hunter Category gives you blood points for hunting down your opponent so if you tunnel them out you get points easier for it.take away the points from this if they tunnel the person out and some killers that care about blood points will stop tunneling.
-
@jesterkind said:
How is that an incentive?
That's just a lack of a deterrent at most, it doesn't have any effect at all.
Because they get points for tunneling I'm confused do you know how points work.

My definition is according to management. So 2k is a draw and borderline. That's enough. Hatch thinks it would be a good idea to give it as a gift since it would be a waste of time. Still, the killer wins.
Same so my definition of a win is the same.. Regardless of what you just tried to vomit out my statistics stay the same. Again you miss the point only the killer can dictate the pace of the game.

Yes, it's okay for you to think so. Don't worry about me. I actually did that back then, and I don't know what other killer players would say, but I'm fine with it.
Of course, the condition is that there will be no bubs or nerfs in the future after reverting to before 6.1.0. Then many will no longer be shouting about buffs and nerfs, and will mainly be digging deeper into tactics. wonderful.
And since you said that the killer buff caused the 3gens problem, if that problem occurs in the future, it will be 100% the survivor's bad play. That's a blessing. We both no longer need to make excuses, so we can only be grateful. I love harsh environments and hate sophistry.
And I play both Killer and Survivor almost equally, so I have no complaints at all. Sometimes it's an advantage, sometimes it's a disadvantage, but I accept it.
Same I play both I actually used to have to try to win as killer back then. I think out of my last 500 games I've lost like 20. By loss I mean not a 4k. Before I stopped caring I did an experiment and I played 100 survivor games escaped 29% your problem is you don't understand that survivor has no control over the game only the killer. After that experiment I never did a gen again.
-
@xltechno said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3668542#Comment_3668542
If so, I welcome it. The killer's camping tactics are more ferocious, the survivors let go of the gen early considering they will be hook grabbed when going to the rescue, and the killer has an easier time cornering the survivors with STBFL.
Survivors will be more likely to get injured since SB will be reduced at the cost of more DH, and Sloppy Butcher will not be nerfed.
The killer will 3gen kicking many times, so it will be a match against the skill of the survivor. Above all, it is the outcome that the survivors wanted, so there will be no further changes, and no one will be able to complain. Killers don't hesitate to use all kinds of tactics. I think it's wonderful.
No they aren't they are exactly the same lol. When did you start playing like 2021. 3 gen meta wasn't even a problem before they super buffed killer and I'm not saying a killer buff wasn't warranted but they gave them 3 base kit strong perks.
-
@xltechno said:
If STBFL, hook grab, 3gen all go back to normal, and there's no RBT nerf, I'd definitely go back there, right?
Me too all those things really didn't do anything until killer got buffed so much base kit . Hell I don't really care if they're in the game now. Those are the least problematic things for survivor they're just band aid BHVR does to not have to fix the core issues with the game.

Idk what roundabout logic you have but that says right there name a killer without a power and its right there
And it was an example of a killer who can't use their power to lose bloodlust mid chase as well, can't use power to lose bloodlust if you don't have a power
If you want another example of a killer with no unique power trapper has no power with no traps on hand which can be decently common while playing them
I hate to tell you this but you have a choice to use the power or not they still have one.
The Killers are Characters in Dead by Daylight. It is highly recommended to thoroughly read up on both Killers and Survivors to fully understand both sides. For tips on playing Killer, please refer to this section of the Wiki: Playing Killer: Tips and Tricks The Killers have been tasked by The Entity to hunt down and sacrifice every Survivor before they can escape. In order to achieve this objective, a Killer should do the following: Patrol the area and find Survivors. Chase, injure and catch SuPlease point out what killer does not have a power next to their name LOL.

Yes every killer gets bloodlust but all killers with powers besides dredge lose it extremely easily, only killers who go long periods of time without any power use get bloodlust and usually they are bottom of the barrel because they just spent 15s chasing after a survivor as a 4.6 killer more likely than not in a straight line.
Thats because those powers either hinder the survivor or are ranged attacks.

u got buckle up/for the people
u got deja vu
u got adre
u got the screen that u can see what ur mates are doing
shall i continue?😂
not forget: hook graps are deletet cuz suvs said: its unfair that killer grap me while on my screen it wasnt a grap whereas killers has the same problem on the other side (jits that should have been a grap)
so they took the grabs and its only a disadvantage for the killer
so please dont try to say: suvs got a bad time

otr is trash

the maps have literally been changed to be more killer sided
deja vu is mid
we always had adre and its about to get nerfed
the hud improvements dont help swf and solo q is a mess
anti 3gen and anti camp almost never work
Base kit bt still dosent stop tunneling
and ftp buckle up is completely broken and will be changed sooner or later

At best its only a handhold because it might let a killer who doesn't realize they are taking a bad chase by blood lusting eventually catch a survivor instead of leaving an area they shouldn't be and giving the survivors plenty of gen time and getting nothing out of it.
Exactly so hand holding them
