Have you not seen the new Haddonfield in PTB? The gates would never get opened if that's the case. Other maps like Midwitch have this problem.
the change is propose is so survivors are encouraged to open gates immediately then leave or attempt a save, it would bring out perks such as wake up or sole survivor, or bloodwarden
the numbers could be tweaked such as how long it takes to open gate and so on

you fake pickups by waiting there and looking around can throw off timings so basically be unpredictable this works against all survivors including good ones if they attempt to and their late IMMEDIATELY LOOK UP and the blind won’t happen. Sometimes you can’t ALWAYS not get blinded and a good enough survivor can play their cards right and still get the save at that point even after all of that effort of preventing it they deserve it. But still doing what I said will prevent 90% of blind saves in general.
It’s part of the game dude and you have accept that it will happen and it’s not the end of the world if it does happen.
not the end of the world but it really steals alot of your time spent chasing and downing that survivor, match time is gen time

When kissing a wall if you’re afraid of a possible Flashbang FAKE YOURE PICK UPS AND LOOK AROUND CORNERS.
literally doing 2 of those tricks will help most of you’re issues with Flashbang saves and is mostly a skill issue on you’re part since Flashbang saves are easier to deny compared to flashlights the only thing flashbangs have over flashlight is the fact they can blind you when you’re against a wall but if you’re just careful and look around you before picking up you won’t get flash banged since Flashbang users have to get uncomfortably close to blind save.

u cant fake picking up against good survivors if the animation doesnt play, only demo could fake or hag by placing trap or portal

Open discussions on various topics
im just looking for feedback and opinions, and looking for what could be changed or improved, im not saying im correct thats why we are here, to discuss things, but all i see is getting shamed for "talking too much" , and getting told im straight up wrong with no counter argument, or its the classic "skill issue"

You did not do the right choice. Its not a flashlight. Its a flashbang. Entirely different technical situation. And you show again that you do not understand this. And you disagreeing does not make it any more right.
so could u explain what is the correct play then? slug? find and chase the survivor with the flashbang? tell me, since i dont understand.

Depending on how well the killer did and who it is, the answer varies. Ex Nurse and scratch mirror Myers aren't all that weak from the start and don't get much stronger later in game. Generally if the killer is doing adequate (by our standards: getting hits or pallets within 40 or less seconds, generally harassing survivors at every opportunity, etc) they will be at their best position the longer the game drags on.
That said we're not entirely sure on the point of the post. Are you defending noed use? (Which honestly you don't need to, people are free to do as they will) Are you asking for changes to gens? Explaining why killer is more complicated? (Which is obvious to anyone who has played both sides) Asking for our thoughts on your thoughts?
correct.

Why should you be entitled to win against opponents better than you or of skill equal to you? That's the real issue here.
im saying thats the best case scenario , draw or lose. cant push further than a draw, thats my mentalitly always shoot higher and higher never conform, even in real life regarding careers and dreams, and its not entitled, i want to win with my skills not get handed the win, better side wins but if it always ends in draw then, whats the point

Yeah, so if you have issues use Lightborn. Thats exactly whats this perk is meant for. Or use some aura read to scout the area (infectious, Darknes revealed or whatever). Like, if you do not want to adapt to a situation thats entirely avoidable by preparing for it in before, its just another case of killer entitlement.
i disagree its entitlement, i would say this is survivor entitlement because u accept that it should work even when kissing a wall and still stunning the killer. thats the debate here. not out in the open. i did the correct play.

I do play enough killer.
For a flash grenade to achieve a save, it must be thrown between 1 and 1.5 seconds after the killer's pickup animation begins. Background player gives a survivor 100% haste, meaning 8 m/s. 1.5 seconds max would mean a survivor can successfully save from 12 meters away at most. If a killer can't do a quick 12 meter radius check around them if they anticipate background player in play, that's on the killer, and they don't deserve the hook for not doing their due diligence.
and if the killer does a patrol to look for the hiding survivor the downed survivor crawls to a pallet making it a lose lose situation for killer. what do u think about that?
-
but that is just a draw for the killer, so killers get either a draw or lose. in other pvp games there is always a winner and a loser. draws are extremely rare, and the one that wins is the better team right, using all their knowledge and mechanical skills correct?
so if i get skilled at the game to only get draws whats the point? if the game acknowledge my skills for example says victory instead of vague things like brutal,ruthless,merciless, and was direct i wouldnt feel as bad.
and what of the survivors, the 2 that die, did they win or lose? and the 2 that made it out? did they win or lose?
are survivors part of a team or are they individual?
if they are individual then fine, im good with 2 kills 2 escapes.
but if not then thats lame, its considered a draw and thats what is expected?
conclusion is that if i put alot of time in the game to only get draws as the standard then the game doesnt reward the time invested
make the game direct to the player: defeat, draw, victory so we can avoid all this confusion

Or you just learn how to play against flashlights. Such claims are just showing youre dont know how to play vs flashlights nor you understand how impossible saves would be with such changes.
its too easy to save, 3 seconds is too long, and if killers look at wall, they still get u with a flashbang, so whats the counterplay there? run lightborn? cmon.

As long as DBD has been out, it's kinda wild to me only Fire Up gives this bonus.
if they buffed fire up to only be pickup, hooking, and drop speeds and its always 20 percent, id run that perk for life
-
@ChaosWam said:
Not sure how you'd balance this unless you make flashlights stronger again, in a basekit sense. Being able to easily avoid lights like this kinda defeats the purpose of flashlight saves.
That said… I am kinda shocked after all this time there's no perk that just speeds up pickup speeds like we have a breaking speed perk or a missed attack recovery perk.
fire up speeds up pickups but its 4 percent for every gen popped so in endgame its 20 percent faster pickup, but, its endgame….

I don't care if you think that something is sad or not.
If someone is in High MMR (in which sweaty SWFs are) then it means that he got a lot of 4K's to be higher.
If someone has skill to do so, he wouldn't complain on forum and demand nerfs to mediocre and situational perks like BGP.
OP got outplayed and is just mad, that's it.
Also If you think that BGP is busted, then maybe you have the same, skill-realted issues as OP.
but i was looking at a wall, it wasnt a flashlight save, a flashbang save. i did the correct thing and got stunned. i dont think thats intended. and if its a skill issue the play is to slug and go for someone else, kinda bull i might say. btw what do you play more of killer or survivor?
-
@ad19970 said:
I feel like as long as it causes the easy to miss skill checks on affected gens that are being workend on, it should keep the long cooldown, since it's just a perk that hurts newer players more. If it made survivors that are working on affected gens scream for example, I wouldn't mind a cooldown reduction. Though 45 seconds might be too little for guaranteed info.
but things like pain res are way more oppression than oppression itself. and cmon 80 seconds is way too long its probably the only perk with that long of a cooldown and isnt all that good. but it would be if it could be triggered more often. doesnt overcharge do the same thing but to one generator and its 30 seconds?

So then you have basically no understand of how to play killer properly. Cause it should be difficult to play vs good survivors, and not this free 4ks with stacked dlowdown on tunneling killers.
so ur saying i should shoot for 2 kills every match, doesnt sound like a win to me unless the game would say victory like 2 kills and 10 hooks as a win, what do u play and hours?
-
4.1 k hours
-
nurse shouldnt even be brought up does nurse justify trapper being so weak? of course not

- Blood
- Breathing
- Grunting
- Noise
- Crows
- Predict their movements
I was addicted to Nurse calling and No where to hide. But after 10 matches without aura perks, I gained back my game sense. May be you should try.
- lucky break and boon shadowstep
- lucky break
- iron will, off the record
- off the record, lron will, bite the bullet
- quick and quiet
- calm spirit or crouching
- third person camera and checkspots and red stain

Survivors shouldn't be able to hide either?
whats the point of being here if no one is constructive and serious. im not saying survivors cant hide but it will take longer to find hiding survivors. havent u ever played killer?

You do it by relying on your surroundings such as crows flying or hearing.
and if they just hide? you dont have time to stay and check

I know lol I never said she wasn’t popular, she’s just outdated and people won’t admit it. Slowest killer in the game when holding a hatchet. Slower than Nurse. On TOP of being 110. And having the THIRD LOWEST kill rate in the game at TOP 5% MMR.
Crazy to me the Pyramid head can hit people through walls and moves at 110 while using RoJ, Plague being 110 while holding Corrupt Purge, Artist being 115 and having unbeatable anti loop and so on. I could rant about it forever tbh. She’s not bad by any means but she definitely needed a QoL change for her speed
AMEN! THIS is what i am trying to say, those changes were definitely deserved, it was just those content creators overblowing everything like always, and it was ptb, we never tried it live to see if there definitely was a difference.
in the open sure huntress is strong but in indoor maps and tall tight loops shes loses alot of lethality and time, and plus the hatchets have a long time to charge. it should be reverted and re-added to the game
-
@okaayletsgoo said:
Because one hatchet injures you and has unlimited range. Deathslinger has 15m range and trickster requires multiple hits to injure you. Her windup time was reduced, her movement speed while holding was increased and they gave her some haste add-ons when landing a hatchet. She's good and especially sinister on a seasoned player.
but you cant use the hatchets over tall loops and ur too slow to use m1 and slow drastically when pulling out hatchets. so ur force to either eat the stun or bloodlusting
-
@Rudjohns said:
110 killers are 110 for a reason, just find out why
there is only a 3 percent difference. survivor is 107

perhaps forced hesitation?

and this took almost 4 years to implement?

@Ayodam said:
They already have one; it’s called their power.
i see that but someone like freddy or trapper isnt as effective as a blight or nurse. they struggle because of it. so applying your logic would then adding a 6th perk slot be problematic?
-
@apathyinc said:
No, some people live their life by cheating, trolling, and making the game miserable for other players. Sometimes this causes DCing to be the best option against them. Make them continue to play their games out against bots so real players don't have to deal with that horseshit.
oh i see, i guess that would reward the cheaters but still sucks for those who play fairly. its a interesting situation. thanks for your input.
