  • If anything, Victor should mess with the controls of the survivors slightly.

  • Soooo the ability for survivors to take away the twins power completely isn't broken? The ability to hide in a locker then hop out just to punt Victor across the map isn't broken? Victor Misses? Just punt him. Killer is controlling Victor? Just complete the gen right next to Charlotte because they have no idea you are there.

The Twins have major potential. But it depends on whether the devs will capitalize on that potential, or just push them out with minor/pointless tweaks.

  • Chances are we’ll start getting new maps once the devs are done reworking the old ones.

  • If they let go, after ten seconds the gates progress begins to regress. Boom, fixed 99ing the gates

  • When a survivor brings in an Ormond offering. We all know the reason you brought it, and it's not because you like how the map looks.

  • Wow, I suggested something that people are actually agreeing on. I'm pleasantly surprised.

  • Monto, JaeRoar, Sattalizer, and puppers all at the same time. Back during DeathSlingers PTB

    Got proof as well

    https://youtu.be/nJZPec5IaFU

  • All they had to do was make each variation a possibility when you get sent to that realm. Like in custom games, you pick "Badham Preschool" and you can get sent to one of the 5.

  • The clothes "given" were exclusively for tournament winners and devs. They do not belong to you and most likely never will.

  • Kratos : Keep your expectations low boy, and you'll never be disappointed.

  • They fixed a bug with her, that's all they did

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    You’re not penalised.

The game is telling you those survivors were completely unprepared for your level of skill, therefore they’re not rank appropriate.

Then why match them with me? It shouldn't matter in this game since it isn't designed like that yet. So far the game only sees rank, mmr isn't here yet. If I steamroll them, I should get the points to compensate for that.

  • @Flame6 said:

You just crushed them in 1/10th of the time as a normal match but got like 50% of the points. You came out way ahead in terms of points per minute.

Bruh I just had a match where I demolished them and I walked away less than 19,000 I don't think that's a win.

Edit: A survivor walked away with more points then me because they escaped. Never mind the fact the other 3 are dead and only 2 gens were done.

  • @tippy2k2 said:

If the person hiring you to kill someone said "I want them to suffer as much as humanly possibly before you kill them or I'm only giving you 50% of the money", you can't be shocked when you walk up to your target and put a bullet in their head and ask for your million dollars. You're getting 50% of your money because killing your target wasn't the entire purpose of your mission.

Now replace "Hired Hitman" with Killer and The Entity with "Person Hiring You". Now you understand why you get less points for just slaughtering the survivors.

Then they should be called torturers, NOT killers.

Teasers are meant to tease. If we saw any more it would have been looked upon as a full-on reveal.

And true Wendigos are not exclusive to until dawn, but that is a universe that would fit really well in DBD.

Do you not remember Freddy's tease? It was literally a rusty pipe and then 4 scratch marks appeared on it. It was a dead giveaway. Not to mention Pyramid Head where his head was literally front and center.

  • Possibly not, Wendigo isn't exclusive to Until Dawn. Not to mention that if it was a license they would have done a much better job at teasing it aside from a hand

  • Here's a quote from good olé Mathieu Coté himself...

it's easy to understand how badly you're informed thinking gens are done faster if people group up, 33 seconds with 2 survivors? where did you even get that lmao?

Ummmm no, they were actually spot on. If you read their post thoroughly you'd understand what they meant.

They said and I quote "33 seconds shaved off for 2 survivors is way too much". If you're having trouble, let me help you. Using "shaved off" in this context means that a total of time was removed from the original number. 33 seconds was "shaved off" of the 80 seconds.

Now time for some simple math, what is 80 minus 33?

They aren't badly informed, you're just bad at reading.

I would honestly quit the game if they ever stooped this low

If them adding in an anime based chapter makes you leave, were you really invested in the game to being with?

  • Survivor puts in an Ormond offering, I shut off the game and do something else.

idk about that. Thinking you have control over every single gen on the map is bad mindset to have since it's the same situation when survivors spawn near killers and the killer gets a near instant down, and that doesn't seem to be a problem.

Where did I say I think I have control over every gen? I said that I walked straight to a gen that I thought was most likely to have survivors near it, and when I got there it was nearly done. Explain your mind set

This is the exact reason that perks like Corrupt Intervention and Discordance exist. This problem has literally been resolved lmao. if you struggle with this then there are perks that help. Most good generic builds have a gen control perk which will help you greatly with the gens. Gen speed without them is 80 seconds per gen with 1 person on it. That is a very long time. You have time to kick them, push people off them, time to do literally anything as long as you know how to put pressure. Complaing about this is just admitting that you aren't a strong killer. They may have brand new parts, in which case its really not a problem cus that leaves them with no item for the rest of the game.

Dude, it was THE FIRST THING I DID WHEN THE MATCH STARTED, so don't pull out that 2 inch excuse of "You just aren't a strong killer". You seem to be the type of person that doesn't read what they type before they send it.

Use your brain right now. If I make a b line to a generator as the first thing I do, and it's nearly done by the time I get there, there is a problem. No brand new parts, nothing.

  • I've had a match where I spawn in, head to a gen cross map (It's the first gen I go to given it's the furthest and most likely to have survivors) and it was around 75% to 90% done by the time I got there.

So given your reasons as to why a gen would be going fast tell me, where in my example do I "Stay in chases too long." Because it's the start of the match and it's the first gen I go to.

If you don't see an issue with this, then there is a problem.

  • I've killed Monto, Sattelizer, and Puppers before. Granted not the best accomplishment given they were running no mither and breaking hooks, but I killed them none the less.

  • @Xbob42 said:

I hate these tints and filters. Keep that bargain-bin dollar-store crap out of professionally-made games. How about you come up with color palettes for the objects and terrain itself rather than just "hurr durr turn sky green" to give something an "identity."

"Professionally made games" You really think dbd is THAT professional??? Phasmophobia is more professional than this and it's made by one person. Phasmophobia isn't putting out bug fixes that break parts of the game that aren't related to what they fixed, they aren't silencing criticism from big content creators, etc, etc.

Side note: Bring it, ban me for criticizing your game by comparing it to a cheaper and more professionally made game. Prove mine and SCs point BHVR, you know you want to.

  • Typical BHVR. Update one thing, then break something that isn't even related to what they updated to begin with. Take how the hooks were broken a few patches ago, as well as the original hill bug (Which I'm also sure there is a similar bug on Dead Dawg on one of the sides of one of the buildings)

  • Face it, you're upset you couldn't get your 30 squats a second in while the killer watches. Craving attention much?

  • I suggested something similar to this a long time ago. Basically saying that perks work better on the survivor they came with, as opposed to them being the same across all survivors. This would allow more thought and potentially bring in more range in the characters you see Or you'll just see a bunch of Lauries and Davids because a lot of survivors can't live without their ds and deadhard

  • As long as people aren't forcing their own opinion on what character is what sexuality, I won't care. Just don't try forcing your own lore into pre-existing lore.

I’m sure that’s scary if you’re not yet a teen, but it’s hard to take seriously and not find it funny.

Same can be said about the "Iconic" killers. These guys just aren't scary when you get older. You can't say "It's only scary if you're young" about one thing, and not say the same about allllll the others that are the exact same way.

  • Same was for me ever since the mid chapter. Don't know what changed but It's been stable for me as of recently.

  • @prodigy1337 said:

It's a catch 22. Games too short on either side do not yield pips (or much at all at the higher ranks) and at the same time survivors objective is to do gens to GTFO out asap. Killers objective is to catch survivors and hook em 3 times to kill them.

Survivors don't want to die, so they rush gens. Killers don't want to "lose" so they tunnel someone, or "face camp" (which is funny, most swf destroy face campers due to attack reset)

So you have this vicious cycle of people not wanting to die and then people not wanting to let anyone escape. Ironically, I got in the game to give a good show as a killer, to scare people, make them go "oh sh*t" but the higher the rank I have climbed, the more toxicity I run into. Even if I find it out to be a good game, more time than not, there some form of trash talking toward me at the end. Which is kind of ironic because the trials are player driven experiences. It's really weird.

One side of the coin, you have this really supportive and fun going community, then on the other side you've got pricks lol. Add ons or not, perks or not, it boils down to the individuals that make the game and trials what it is.

I get your frustrations and wanting to vent, but ironically, the internet doesn't care much or they have their jaded opinions. I feel that most of us have seen toxic behavior on both sides and some days are rougher than not, but try to keep ya chin up.

Literally the BEST comment here. No one could have said it better.

  • You must be new here then. DbD is a bug, not a game

  • @MandyTalk Could you or whoever has the ability to close this thread? It went from the first 3 comments being constructive and respectable to just slowly getting more and more toxic.

Why do you use moris, why do you use iridescent head, why do you camp, why do you tunnel. Shut up mate, I asked a simple question and you all are acting like a damn hive mind saying the same stupid things over and over and over again. Get over yourselves. I've moved on from this post, you all should too. But it doesn't seem this community is good at moving on.

Good tips. You definitely have the best chance of getting it with both pinks, though, to the point where I would do that unless you have no other option. PWYF is really important, though. If you can get three stacks of PWYF and then Mori the obsession you are in great Shape. I actually got this achievement on my first try with this setup.

Never going to get From the Void She Kills though lol

If you're playing against survivors with good knowledge of how the game works you won't get Evil Incarnate. They'll all just hide in lockers even on death hook.

    This is beyond stupid.

What else are survivors supposed to do?

Is there any objective other than gens?

Do killers have any objective other than to kill survivors?

This is the stupidest post I've seen in a long time.

Quit your whining. You're making the rest of us killers look bad.

Oh really, It's not all the camping and tunneling Leatherfaces and sweaty iridescent head Huntresses? My bad. If ONE post tickled your trigger bone to where you had to say "You're making the rest of us killers look bad" maybe you should take a look down memory lane where the "rest of us killers" made yourselves look bad all on your own.

Edit: Also where was the part where I was "Whining" If I recall, I basically asked "Why do you want to make the game to not last more than 5 minutes" Or did that fly over your head?

  • @JinSime said:

Because killers camp and tunnel hard most matches and I can't trust a random to do the job (since they sometimes are not doing any gens, somebody have to do it at full efficiency).

At least if I can make sure 3 gens are done when there are 2 people left, me and my teammates have better chances of escaping.

I try to have fun in the game... I usually don't even run exhaustion perks in order to run the build I like, but then I can only hold a chase for so long (more of a reason not to sleep on gen duty). And I don't run DS, so if I'm tunneled, what am I supposed to do?

I can assure that for most of the best moments I had in this game I didn't even survive the match, but I had a good opportunity to use my silly perks. It comes at a cost and so I have to play somewhat more safe, because it seems for killers fun means to achieve 4k at all costs, even if it means slugging everybody, tunneling everyone and facecamping.

But if I notice the killer isn't all out for blood, I may play a little... it's just not happening these days.

Besides, if I have missions of escaping for a daily or archive challenge... well, I wanna survive.

Finally a person who hasn't said "Just do this" or "We aren't supposed to babysit the other side" and actually answered the question civilly.

    Thank you

  • @WakeMeUp9 said:

If survivors want to do their objective efficiently then so be it. I see killers slugging at 5 gens and hard tunnelling people out of the game way more than i see actual "genrushing". As for it being boring, I'll leave you with an old killer main quote "its not my responsibilty to look after anyone elses fun".

Ah so holding the same button the whole match counts as boring and unfun for survivors (Even though you seem to have no problem doing so) But getting genrushed by a group that wants to be in a tournament and having everything stacked against you can't be called boring for killer. WOW

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

When i genrush it's usually because the killer isn't stopping me.

    That's probably true for everybody

I think the first three commenters on this post would half disagree.

  • @MrLimonka said:

You sound like you get looped by a singluar survivor for 10 minutes straight and can't catch them, and then complain about other survivors simply doing generators because you don't know how to manage time properly. Try actually defending the gens sometime. Enough said.

I know when to cut my loses in a chase. I'm not new, and I'm not boosted. I've been playing since Doctor released so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing. Haven't been playing recently given how garbage optimization has been on console until recently. So don't try saying "JuSt DeFeNd GeNs". Not to mention assuming things with little to no proof makes you look foolish, try again.

  • @Ace_Ventura said:

Genrushing, in it's actual meaning, would be every survivor on separate generators across the map. Meaning that usually, by the end of your first chase, 3 gens pop. Actual genrushing is very rare.

That's actually not too far off from a match I just had. Sad thing is it gets more common the better your rank is. I've been noticing it heavily since I passed rank 10.

  • @Ace_Ventura said:

What is genrushing to you, exactly?

Popping nearly two gens in the first couple minutes. What I get from that is "We wAnT oUt Of dA MaTcH NoW" Like seriously how is it any fun. I can handle rushers relatively well but it's the most boring brain dead game I could imagine. Chase this person, down them, gen pops. Chase next person, down them just as quickly as the first, 2 gens pop. Rinse and repeat. I don't see how it is fun having little to no interaction aside from sticking to gens like a fly on a cow pie. It isn't a tournament.

Edit: In short, people trying to make the game last less than 5 minutes.

Well it's the same reason they didn't give out Legacy so I'm fine with it. They'll probably be able to change the requirements to reach Mercliless when MMR hits, as they've said they wanna do before.

Then where's the same energy for all those event cosmetics that people EARNED but the devs STILL gave out like candy on halloween?

Official information, unofficially worded. That was not the exact quote.

But if it's anything similar, my point still stands.

  • I can't help but notice that when they are talking about why they can't change the way achievements are earned, this was the quote:

I would remove the first part since you're claiming you do, and that is "an admission of unsportsmanlike behaviour" and that got me warned. Even though it's a genuine problem.

The trade off between hitting that button and waiting 5 minutes versus sitting there being slugged/humiliated is no competition in people's minds at the time honestly and I would appreciate game fixes than graphical updates.

It's not like I said I do it every match. This was originally gonna be a different type of rant after 2 bad games in a row, the second match just being the last straw for me. I disconnect rarely, meaning it isn't a problem. But I WILL disconnect if everything is just straight up going against me in every single way, to the point where I don't even have a chance.

Even minecraft is getting a visual upgrade, why would you settle for Clay by Daylight when you can have a beautiful shiny surface.

I guess we simply value different things.

Like no offense but the game isn't falling apart, not that I can see but if it is it's a fun thing to engage with, at least to me.

They lost nearly 9,000 players in the last 30 days during an event and mid chapter patch on Steam. Game is starting to slip a bit.

Also I'd rather play a functional game that is butt ugly than a really nice looking game that runs like trash. Because what's the point of the of the visual upgrade if you can't play it. I mean hell, not long ago I had my game freeze for over 10 seconds allowing the survivor I was carrying to get off my shoulder and run away. I'd rather have the game look ugly over dealing with poor optimization.

Edit: I just wish that they'd set optimization at a higher priority, allowing the other half of their playerbase to actually play a functioning product. But instead they've been prioritizing monetization through skins and a battle pass. I'm very disappointed with how far the game has come and how far into the hole it's dug itself.
