Looking at BHVR's past balance decisions I predict nerfs

how did they abuse it exactly? I see no such real way unless poorly coded an anti-camping method can be abused by people who can literally do no damage
Dbd for the killer is a race against the clock. Now imagine the killer hooks a survivor. Normally the other survivors would be pressured to come and save their teammate. With your suggestion even killers that do not plan to camp can be affected by such a poorly thought out system simply by one survivor looping around their hooked teammate, relieving them of the pressure of dying completely, while two others work on gens and the killer gains nothing.
-
Yes the killer is moving faster and your anti camp suggestion has been tried and in a twist that shocked absolutely noone ended up being abused by survivors.
-
These people are just trolls so please refrain from feeding them
-
Pretty good job so far

pretty good job so far

Maybe a year if we are lucky but I doubt they'll be this quick
-
In an ideal world this would have come along time ago. We unfortunately live in a world where BHVR sees the grind as a "player retention" mechanic
-
quality bait right here; 8.5/10
-
Not many as I deliberately do not unlock trash teachables. Unfortunately sometimes the game leaves you no choice so I HAD to unlock garbage like overwhelming presence

It's almost as if he needs a buff to be enjoyable.
Nah everyone knows he is perfectly balanced as
the survivors sayall things should be. Maybe the devs will come around to balance him next year and give us the long awaited changes like 4 hits to down, infinite vaccines and only one solitary zombie who is nailed to a tree/wall -

Nice bait.
it's actually pretty weak bait maybe a 3/10
-
What do you define as working together? Because I've seen people report the killer for giving the last survivor hatch, saying the two clearly worked together

This is the first time I upload a picture I hope it works

Again, don't think I'm not on your side. I'm with you. I didn't buy the DLC (I don't like anyone's perks so I'm just waiting until I have some spare cash for the cosmetics, mainly) but if I had, and I wasn't able to play it (or even the game itself), I'd be very frustrated too. You have every right in the world to be.
I'm just saying that in a situation like this, as bad as it seems, it's normal to take a couple of days or even a week to try to hash things out. I don't think that BHVR expected these issues (and I certainly don't buy anyone's claims that they don't care, they're only in it for the money, etc. That kind of thinking doesn't even make business sense), I think that something serious happened that they didn't anticipate because the game ran absolutely fine during the PTB. Either their servers are being absolutely swamped, or someone may have possibly attacked them, or some other unforeseen error has spiraled into the mess that we now have. No one wanted this for such a major anniversary, least of all them.
But you have to remember, it's not as if the game has destroyed your console or anything like that. It's an online game that's experiencing some online problems. That kind of thing typically isn't compensated unless you ask for a refund and uninstall the DLC that you purchased. I have no doubt that they'll make good on this with something in-game, but that's probably about it.
It sucks. I know. I've been where you are before (multiple times actually). It's never fun, and you're not wrong to be upset. But do try to understand that this isn't a case of them doing something on purpose to screw you over, this is almost surely an unexpected problem and it's in their best interest to sort it out as fast and as best as they can. I don't think you'll have to wait long.
I think the problem here is that the bugs grow more numerous and severe each update. While it was not THAT bad in blight's release, the twins' release was a boatload of terrible bugs all around and trickster also came with a fair share of bugs AND a horribly weak killer. And now we get nemesis, the literal manifestation of the word "meh", and bugs that are so bad they make the game unplayable. You have to understand that this is getting ridiculous and people are rightfully upset

Eh, I'd give it a 2/10. Weak form, didn't feel like much effort went in to making this, and not even a little funny.
I gave op a 3 because at least they used bait vocabulary like brain dead and there was at least some emotion palpable. However the entertainment factor was severely lacking and the bait itself lacks the elegant subtlety you can expect from some of the more refined troll posters on this form, but maybe you are right and I should regrade op's bait to a 2.5/10
-
weak bait; 3/10
-
Swf sided
-
Lots of shards and at least a million bp is what I want but we will probably receive absolutely nothing
-
I agree every add on set should be on the same power level as pyramid head's. Now those are quality add ons, isn't that right obsidian goblet?
-
This is BHVR's magnum opus. They finally fixed everything because a game that can't be played can't be broken. Honestly a galaxy brain move on their part
-
Help step-doc I'm stuck! What are you doing step-doc?
-
weak bait; 2.5/10
-
They should either make a dedicated "survivor spawn area" where all 4 survivors spawn together and then have to actually roam around to seek gens and not spawn right next to them so neither side can start working on their objective right away, or bring back the bug where the killer spawned really close to the survivors, so both sides could immediately start their objective
-
By now I am convinced they have an internal bet about how many bugs they can squeeze in a new update and get away with it
-
That zombie just had the better gaming fridge and outplayed you
-
What do you mean? Do you not enjoy getting the eye candy that is the blinded screen and the accompanying sound?
-
entertaining bait; 6.5/10
-
Nemesis is the word "meh" shaped into a killer
-
Sure the grind isn't real. I will destroy the opposition with my level 50 nemesis (that I totally not have to grind for) and the useful perks I picked up while leveling him. Let's see... we have meta staples here like hangman's trick or cruel limits, maybe blood favor and fire up will pair nicely with them? Gen regression perks or tracking perks? Haven't seen them but I'm sure they'll show up once I hit level 90 or so

Cheer you on while you're doing gens and occasionally hand out a key
I was thinking more like standing in a corner and handing out free vaccines but your idea is much better
-
you fail to realize that much like hag traps nemesis can see the auras of his zombies and herd you into their direction so maybe he was just 3 parallel universes ahead of you in this chase
-
The zombies are definitely less aggressive than what I saw in the ptb
-
Even more negatives: his tentacle hitbox is so small, deathslinger and trickster have huge hitboxes in comparison. A complete lack of... well anything a killer should have. As OP has correctly assessed Nemesis has 0 map mobility, his chase power is laughable as he actually has to hit survivors three times to down them when using his power and the reach is so short which might be okay for tier 1 and 2 but tier 3 should have a massive increase in length which leads to the next problem, tier 3 does absolutely nothing (no 1 meter extra range doesn't count) for the amount of effort you have to put into getting it. Overall much like the rest of the chapter he looks cool but is absolutely underwhelming when it comes to gameplay. The ONLY thing he has over pyramid head are the zombies, but trading cages for zombies is not worth it imo.
TLDR: just play pyramid head
-
they should either remove the speed boost or massively increase the hindered timer because a quarter of a second is so ridiculous you have to wonder why they even bothered to do that
-
I see you are willfully ignoring the glaring issues with trickster. Fair enough, I would also rather forget that mistake...
-
Tunneling and camping, if applied at the right time, can increase the killer's pressure exponentially, which is why you see it all the time in competitive play as it is a skillful tactic but many survivors are not ready to hear that...
-
That is absolutely not correct. They probably worked really hard on how to make this game as unplayable on console as possible with this new update AND nerf demogorgon, blight and franklin's
-
Time to use hit and run wraith I guess

An example of "force": The killer and the other survivors are working together. Survivors block the exit gate switches so you can't leave even after all the gens are done. You just want to leave and go back and forth between each gate, making it clear you want to leave. The killer hooks you and only you. Teabag party. You get unhooked. You run. The one non-blocking survivor leads the killer to you. They hook you again. Teabag party. You get unhooked again. The survivors now all bodyblock you against the hook. You get hooked and die.
That sounds hilar... I mean terrible
-
You are absolutely totally definitely right! I think ds needs massive buffs to stop op killers. Right now the perk punishes survivors for playing the game which is unfair. I say we go back to the original version of ds (you know when it first came out), remove the skill check and juggling exploit, make it usable more than once and increase stun duration to at least 80 seconds. Then it would be balanced in my opinion
-
Then why not just make the vaccine an exception/treat it not like a standard item? Vaccines are not even that impactful and survivors tend to use it the second they open the chest anyway
-
They'll never change keys. We will forever be left with "changing keys is difficult, but we're totally definitely working on it"
-
Yeah you can't really farm these challenges (not that I would ever do that) which makes them annoying but they are not nearly as bad as the "earn three iridescent emblems in one trial" challenges. God I hate those because the emblem system is such garbage
-
I would say the standard m1 killer build of BBQ/PGTW/CI/Tinkerer works on him. You could also use ruin/undying instead of CI/PGTW but with counterforce being new and probably run a lot for the next 2-3 weeks I wouldn't bother. If you do not need blood points you can switch out BBQ for any other perk you like, IF being a strong contender
-

My personal idea was that if there were a fifth perk, it would either have to be one of the general perks (Like Kindred for survivors or Whispers for killers) or a character's own perk (Like Sprint Burst for Meg or Bloodhound for Wraith).
The first option with generic perks would be fine, but the second would lead to "meta survivors" where you would only meet Megs, Bills and Davids with the odd Laurie or Jake here and there. I think the devs stated once that they do not plan to make survivors unique
-
I was expecting a decent sandbagging perk from the title but this doesn't help me kill my teammates. Disappointing
-
People have been asking to make Charlotte more useful than an m1 killer since forever ("rage mode" when victor is crushed, switching while victor is stunned, faster switching, etc) but the devs seem to ignore that and instead nerf victor
-
That blight just had the better gaming chair and outplayed you
