Truly mysterious. Same with artists and spirits always using the horror manga skins. Must be huge fans.
-
That will just push real survivors away from the mode. We saw that in re 2v8. Even with 2 bots queues weren't significantly better, because the time saved by introducing bots is nullified by the even smaller survivor pool.
-
Yes, because he got insane buffs (and legion, but honestly, legion is an issue in and of themselves).
Oni really didn't need any buffs at all, but since the devs decided that both nurse and blight also needed buffs for 2v8 I am not surprised.
-
They won't remove him. That's (sadly) almost guaranteed, so it's worthlessto suggest that (even if it would be for the best of the mode as a whole).
What we should do instead is encouraging them to drastically overhaul his 2v8 power. Maybe feral frenzy no longer injures but applies some form of debuff, or exposed or whatever, but the free injury is way too much when there is another killer around to take advantage of all the free injuries legion gets.
-
@sirlemonhead said:
Once they added Legion, there's unfortunately no going back - they can't really remove him now from future iterations which is sad.
They can however drastically change how feral frenzy works in 2v8 to make legion more tolerable
-
Legion is genuinely poison to the mode.
-
Speeding up trials that have basically concluded to allow everyone to move on to another trial quicker is a good idea. Once egc starts, it would be reasonable to let a killer leave (maybe if they open the gates themselves?)

Except DC penalty already managed to "force" most people to participate in match, majority of people are simply doing "go next" just because it's easy and not because they want to destroy the game, annoy everyone else and get a ban
And it's also working in any other games, too
The dc penalty just shifted how people quit, which why we have self unhook quitters now and the go next prevention will simply shift that to next best option (that can't be detected).
The people that want to quit a game for whatever reason won't suddenly participate again, they'll instead just find other ways to quit without being detected.

But then if it takes more effort to "play bad" than simply quitting the game, it'll be the net positive
The fact simple DC penalty itself reduces those who leave by substantial amount already tells the fact, thinking it won't do anything is strange
The main issue people have with quitters is that the game turns into a 3v1 that is impossible to lose for the killer, but even with "go next prevention" that issue will persist because you simply can't force those players to participate. The only thing that will change with this system is how quitters quit, but nothing else.

The point is never locking quitters in a match, but rather, simply banning them altogether, there is no way BHVR won't continually improve it as it's equivalent of anti-cheat
Even if that was the case, eventually, there will be a point where quitting will be simply indistinguishable from bad/suboptimal plays and the day dbd starts banning players for playing bad is the day the game dies. So, as I said before, nothing will change because they definitely won't go that far.
-
Exactly. Many people think that locking quitters in a match will make them play again, but they'll just find other ways around the system to still quit without being detected. In the end, nothing will change.
-
Edit. Letting go of the gen and then starting the repair again fixes this
-
I fully support that. Once egc starts, the abandon option should become available.
-
Wraith with all seeing, pig with Amanda's letter and myers with scratched mirror can easily complete this in 1-2 trials. If you also use perks like lethal pursuer, bitter murmur, floods of rage and darkness revealed, it's very feasible to get this in a single trial.
-
Realistically, it won't change anything. Sure, they remain in the trial, but that's not going to make them contribute, resulting in the same 3v1 scenario.

But that is not case of breaking pallet to lose power. Blight, Huntress,… can also injure someone quickly after hook and are not limited in that.
Blight is also completely busted, but at the very least his rush isn't an auto aimed hitscan move that also inflicts deep wound.
Huntress hitting a long range shot is a real show of skill. Ghoul clicking on 2 trees to immediately get in range to execute another auto aimed hitscan attack isn't.
-
Hopefully they lower the numbers of required kills and escapes for the milestone quests. Both have pretty high requirements, which means they're very time consuming.

Honestly, they should have just change this into safe unhooks
That sounds a lot more reasonable

solo queue escape rate at normal MMR is 40%. If your personal escape rate is way below this, I don’t know what else to tell you other than your skill level must be below average as well. I’m not saying this in a derogatory way - it’s just a simple reality of any game. There’s going to be a distribution of skill level from very good to very bad, and there are all ways going to be players on the very bad end of that distribution. I know from my own personal experience that 40% escape rate in solo queue is very much possible. I’ve been at the “very bad” end of the skill curve and I know how frustrating it is. I learned how to play better by 1) playing the killer side regularly to see how good survivors play, and 2) watching videos of other skilled survivors to see how they play.
I know I’ll get downvote-bombed for this, but don’t really care. It’s a lot easier for someone to complain and downvote anyone who tells them that they might be wrong than it is to work at improving their own gameplay. It's more a time thing. If over half of your matches can't progress this challenge, you need to play 130+ trials just as survivor to get this one milestone done. This is a huge timesink for casuals with limited playtime, especially since they also have to do killer milestones too.

Bp incentives and if I have completed all killer rift challenges

I feel that while I am experienced, I am nothing special at DBD and I only play solo. So if I can do it, most people can imo
55 escapes is no easy task for casual players, doubly so for those that only play on the weekends.
Definitely needs to be reduced to a more manageable number.
-
I don't like it. As you said, it makes killers give special treatment to survivors who bring an offering the killer likes or dislikes. It serves no other purpose.
-
I fully agree. This is by far the hardest milestone to complete and it's both frustrating and tedious. They really need to either change it completely or at least lower the numbers.

Difference is, those were a few games at most, heck you could ignore most of the old rift mission entirely. I was usually done before or during the 3rd page while ignoring most of the survivor ones.
Having to do the new milestones is ALOT more games of a role i dont particularly enjoy. You will just get people who don't care about the actual game and just tick off requirements and then not care about the outcome because we're being forced to do it.
The milestones, unlike some old tome challenges require active and meaningful participation in the trial. You can no longer 'just tick off requirements" without seriously playing the game. You can try to farm some of them (hooks, gen kicks, heals and gens) but since you also need a lot of kills or escapes, you can't afford to not care about the outcome.
-
I'm all for speeding up matches and skipping the boring part, so I wouldn't be against this idea. Letting a killer abandon once egc starts sounds reasonable.
-
Agreed. It's basically a purple rarity skin, but for some reason they decided to make it cost the same as a silver rarity skin. The increased price was not justified since it neither has unique animations nor unique sound effects.
-
The act of focusing your entire attention on one survivor with the goal to get them out of the game immediately.

yay, never again playing with No Mither teammates or other obstacles (as if I would pay enough attention in the lobby to notice)
Seriously, i hope this will lead to perk adjustments down the line as some perks are mostly used for trolling or are just detrimental for your team and will get dodged more oftenExactly. I'm also looking forward to never play with no mither users again. This perk is trash and drags down the whole team.

How does someone even get ping this high?

Really? Where exactly? I have my doubts it's the majority of players complaining about the nerfs consdering how many people still complained about Kaneki being too strong before the nerf.
I think Kaneki is now in a fairly decent spot, if anything he is still a tad too strong. I fail to see how the nerfs were too much in any capacity. And I have been playing him almost non stop since the nerf. Survivors having some actual counterplay is a good and healthy thing for the game.
There are some reddit posts bemoaning that they can no longer break pallets and immediately catch up to survivors, but the support to buff ghoul again is not nearly as big as that post claims.
-
I understand that tastes are different, but I like the new skins. The recolors are pretty bad, but that's to be expected. The community skins are also nice. Not my favorites but still good.
For the new ones, dredge and nurse look amazing and the orela skin is, at least in my opinion, the best one she currently has available. Adam, feng and haddie also look decent. I like the flower/nature theme a lot more than the weird leather theme from the last tome.

the match is not really immediately lost, but the goal of player giving up is to he able to instantly go over to next match without punishments. Since BHVR still doesn't want to punish this kind of behavior properly, i guess players should be the ones to do it
The match is lost. A 3v1 at 5 or 4 gens isn't even remotely winnable unless the killer lets the other survivors win.
As @ChuckingWong said, you aren't just punishing the quitter but the other survivors as well by locking them in a lost match for an unnecessarily extended period of time.

I wouldn't be mad about the nerfs if it wasn't for the fact the newer dash killers keep getting targeted while Blight is left unchanged. It's not just Kaneki since Chucky went through similar nerfs as well. What's the point of even buying newer killers when they'll just get gutted after a month? Just play Blight at that point and just Blight. Blight doesn't need to recharge his killer power after breaking a pallet. Blight has safety and security since it's clear the developers and community have a strong bias for him so you have that guarantee he won't be nerfed. Blight is vastly stronger and will reliably get you 3-4ks almost every game and has no map dependency like most of the roster. Blight just does it all.
Blight (for some inexplicable reason) is BHVR's "favorite child". He had his overtuned add ons for 4 years until they finally decided to nerf them (twice and he still has some of the best add ons in the game) and the nerfs he gets, as you said, are always very tame.
-
A pure snooze fest most of the time. Most singularities just camp an area, so you have constantly run around the map to collect emps, get a tiny bit of progress, run away to get a new emp and repeat until someone is dead or the gen kick limit activates.
-
I also hate that, however we can assume that events will still have their own set of rift challenges, so maybe logging in daily isn't required if that is the case.
-
Personally, I think they should have nerfed enraged vaults more, but they're probably going to wait and see if he's still over performing after these new changes.

Then let's do the same to Blight and Wesker especially blight wipe all his tokens when he breaks a pallet
Blight should definitely get a similar change.
Wesker doesn't really need it since his dash is a lot more limited compared to ghoul and blight.
-
I had to play against wraith multiple times yesterday, so no.
-
Same here. It was marked as completed before I even started the game.
-
I agree with you. Image if other killers like nurse or blight could start their cooldowns mid-blink/mid-rush. It's absurd that ghoul can do that to essentially skip it almost entirely.
-
Well, let's just hope that if that really is a new game mode, the devs have thought of a really good incentive for survivors to queue up for that, as otherwise that mode will probably be as dead as lights out.
-
I find the rarity changes confusing and unnecessary but ultimately that doesn't change anything gameplay wise.
I also don't have an issue with the new quests, but what I am upset about is that they're planning to remove tomes. It removes existing content from the game for no apparent reason.
-
It makes no difference. The match is already lost, so I don't see why it necessary to drag out that game for everyone. If a teammate gives up, I also just want to end this trial because a 3v1 simply isn't playable.
-
I don't get it either. It just awards bp and offers some unique little challenges to spice up gameplay. There is no reason to remove it. Letting it stay won't affect the game negatively, but instead enriches the gameplay experience (or if people aren't interested, they can ignore it).

- Reduced Reticle aiming on Survivor detection for grab-attack by 94%.
What's that?
I am well aware that they reduced it, but it should have been removed. He still has auto aim, it just no longer covers the entire screen, but still lines up his reticle for him if he just looks in the general direction of a survivor.
-
As long as he has a hit scan auto aim attack, he is quite literally the polar opposite of a skillful killer.
-
Hopefully never. Chess wasn't meant to be played with more than two players.
-
Oni will need huge changes, largely because of legion. If both of them are simply released to 2v8 unchanged, it will be the most absurdly broken combo ever.
-
I genuinely don't understand how blight and nurse keep dodging nerfs and rework, respectively.
To stay on topic with blight, I too think that the nerf that ghoul got where he loses his power after breaking a pallet should be applied to blight as well. Also, considering how strong blight's power is, he should have a longer recharge time and/or become a 4.4 killer.
Spirit for example is a 4.4 killer and her power recharges slower, despite offering worse map traversal. Blight is 4.6, can use his power to travel across entire maps in seconds and he recharges his tokens faster than spirit.
-
I also liked the event. The concept of blood gens was new and interesting and the bp bonus was nice too.
