Anytime you see flashlight bring that perk that lets you eat a pallet like a snack, plus the one that reduces stun time so they can’t blind you then you can slap their ass one good time.  Or you can dodge them. But boy would they be surprised to find out they can’t blind you.

I haven't unlocked enduring with all the killers and I haven't spirit fury unlocked yet, I don't even have the spirit unlocked, it will be my next when I save 9000 shards.

    Gotcha say no more👌
  • I once bought a Laurie and a Quentin to only find out that every time I played those characters even though I wasn’t running any obsession perks, I was tunneled repeatedly match after match after match. For some reason killers don’t like flashy it turns them into bulls.
  • They should just remove it. Most killers slug to prevent you from getting it anyways.

    Sincerly-survivor
  • I just had a match with a key and a flashlight and I brought franklins. Smacked the key user and they both DC'ed immediately. I love this stupid perk.

Franklins too strong must nerf , can’t take hatch early.

Omg were you nice to the one guy? Should of just killed him off and put you both out of your own misery.

Me when everyone disconnects and I have to do enough gens to get hatch Bc the killer won’t kill me: am I working fast enough master? Uncontrollable sobbing 😭

Oh Bc flashlights used to be sooo incredibly op the even I felt the sting for a killer when survivors brought them in. It was insane then.

Yeah, thanks god i didn't played in 2016.. because i would unistall and want my money back, lol

Hahahaha yeah idk I loved how wild it was. They cleaned the game up pretty nicely so far though for killers compared to the sheer hell they used to have to go through. Cause Survivors were sent from hell then.
  • Hey if you want to have even more fun with Franklin's.

Play hag and put a trap that alerts you but not them every time they go to pick up that worthless item.

I did it to a four man and it was hilarious. Seriously, just get your objective done. That insta heal medkit or your insta blind flashlight does not a tribute to you fixing exposed car engine
You’re a genius demon for that , I didn’t bring self care ya jerk I need that medkit ya hear me?!?? I need it!!!!

Hahaha like you even need to dodge with how hard they nerfed flashlights. Actually getting the drop or good blind is few and far between. But franklin on pal no grudges you smack the flashlight. Sometimes I’ll find one and run around with it with 0 intention to use it. The reactions I get from killers who see them is wild they either go for a tunnel, pay no attention and play as normal, or avoid me at all cost if they see me. It’s wild. I’m like the sheer action of holding this flashlight in my hand has soooo much mind game power. Guess some killers still have ptsd from the old days back in the Wild West where there was no law round these parts. Just Indians vs cowboys. Mori in one hand , flashlight in the others.

I do not make a willful effort to tunnel anyone, but I will not ignore a survivor who is near my blade. Why do I keep getting blamed for tunnelling. I used to Tunnel so I know what it is, but since about last week I have made a willful effort to not tunnel and I do try to hook all 4 survivors for the bbq bonus (and there is also a pip bonus for this too).

The fact that I still get blamed for tunnelling means survivors really have an entitlement issue if they think they can just be easy targets and not hit, because that would be "tunnelling, grow up pls.

Some survivors are straight up dumb, don’t let them get to you if you know you weren’t tunneling, just laugh Bc they suck and had to resort to calling you names to make their self feel better.

  • 60 seconds is too long and the fact that the killer can not do anything for that 60 seconds far outweighs other drawbacks. I don't know if I'd call it a buff yet, but it's definitely not a nerf.

I think the devs took the Survivors whining about tunneling too hard to heart, while ignoring the importance of encouraging safe unhooks.
Can’t get safe unhooks if the killer never leaves the area ever for any survivor. Which is id like to say 50/50 of the matches, but it hurts our benevolence for trying to give the guy a small chance, but then they run in here screaming “gen rush” Bc they camped a person to death basically while people actually did gens and left the guy hanging. So it’s either let the killer tunnel and feed him points, even though they applied no gen pressure or map pressure or let the guy die on his first hook and gen rush their ass. You get gen rushed at the beginning? I totally understand anything that happens from there, it’s completely understandable. Hell I’d camp and tunnel too if I’m not even 80 seconds in and 3 gens go off. It don’t be like that all the time though.

In a correct world gens would be slower to do in the beginning and decrease slightly in time per gen done. But there’s also demon killers out there who murder everyone with Moris and cross mapping looking at you billy, nurse, and huntress and they’ve wiped and entire team before two gens even get done. The bs goes both ways.

    Comparing Rancor to DS

DS was an OP perk that could cost killer the game. There was often at least 1 in almost every game.

Rancor grants you 1 kill out of 4 survivors. You see it once it maybe every 500 games, and even then its mostly on people with Spirit that dont have many other perk choices unlocked.

Know why many people never used it? Because it really wasn't that good.

    - If you win the game you get nothing from Rancor until the last gen is complete.

    - The location reveal of survviors was pretty useless mostly since you had no idea which direction they were heading in. Only on a small number of occasions was it useful if a survivor happened to be hiding nearby.

    - If multiple survivors were alive at the end you probably weren't going to find the obsession.

I've had Rancor used on me only a couple of times since it came out. I've never gone down to it. It's too easy to play stealthy when there is 1 gen left.

I'll tell you why Rancor is important right now - because devs keep talking about a downside to becoming the obsession. There is no downside and there never has been a downside unless the killer was running 1 of 3 perks, Rancor, Dying Light, Remember Me. Those perks were rare to see too, outside of Freddys with Remember Me anyway. So for the most part there was no downside.

Now Rancor IS the downside. Dying Light has been nerfed to beyond useless. STBFL and PWYF don't punish the obsession, they benefit the obsession. Being the obsession against Remember Me is bad early on as it means tunneling, but good late game if the obsession dies as it means you can then open the exit gates at normal speed.

That leaves Rancor as a killers only choice when it comes to providing a downside for the obsession.  It's a pretty hefty penalty too. Might actually make someone think twice about using DS unless it's their last hook, and that's what we want. People being afraid to become the obsession.
And my whole point circles back to “we made this to prevent tunneling” and if you use it to prevent being tunneled you can now take a mori or get slugged. See the issue?
    1) Moris have barely changed. Even if all 4 survivors brought DS, chances are 3 of them weren't going to use it, and it was possible to dribble the obsession to the hook anyway.

DS became a problem over 12 hooks/3 hook stages per survivor because more hooks = more chance of a survivor hitting 35%, or being too far to dribble from the hook. When you only needed 4 hooks DS barely happened.

    2) I'd rather be slugged and left to be picked up than to be downed and immediately hooked again and brought one stage closer to death.

    - Killers slugs survivor to slow the team down
    - Survivor gets slugged but gets to keep his 'extra life' if you get what I mean

    It's a win/win for both sides.

    3) Killers aren't going to slug and wait 60 seconds. It's a waste of time. If they stay near your body then gens get done and they get hurt by it. Compare that to now when they can just hook you straight up and this is a huge improvement for survivors.

Honestly I don't think too much will change...

    - High rank killers normally hook then move onto a new target anyway, so they won't be affected by this

    - Low rank killers love their tunneling, they'll probably just take the DS, which is what they do now when they chase the obsession for 3 gens anyway.

But again I'd rather be slugged and left to be picked up by another survivor than put on the hook again and brought one step closer to death.
I see your point I really do, and I get that. That didn’t even cross my mind when talking about rancor.

Im talking about when a killer does very poorly and can get a 4 man 3 man 2 man mori Bc of luck at the end even though they really did nothing to earn it. I’m not saying it’s going to happen all the time, I’m saying It’s going to be game breaking when it does. The lower ranks are really going to suffer from it for that reason exactly that you just listed and those tunneling killers down there are going to get rewarded for it, Bc a survivor wouldn’t have to use it unless they are being tunneled seeing as it triggers the option once you’re unhooked. See what I’m saying? It’s cheap af. It’s a reward for killers who will purposely put on rancor and tunnel for that reason.

So no I don’t think it’s cool Bc now if a survivor(s) is tunneled throughout the match and they are now up for a mori with rancor for a perk the devs dress up as “its to help prevent tunneling”. Here is exactly why I say this. A lot of survivors are going to carry this, as a killer I’d anticipate it(which you are) so now you have endgame(assuming the survivors even make it that far) to be rewarded for a play style(tunneling) that the devs created this perk to “prevent” when really it backhandedly encourages it. Bc if the survivor gets the perk triggered(and uses it) it was in fact Bc the killer was tunneling.

Rancor is going to be a problem for this reason. It rewards toxic gameplay now.
As if the red mori wasn’t already something survivors bite their tongue about.
Now it’s double the mori both of which are cheap Bc you don’t really have to work for either just hook each person once, or if you’re going to use rancor tunnel each survivor once. It’s borederline skill less Bc any decent killer will hook everyone atleast once, on a really good killer this is so over powered it’s incrdibly stupid that they’d even allow this to walk out of their office and into the game.

especially considering that killers got so incredibly tilted about eating a single ds.would not even eat a single ds to extend a chase(because let’s be honest I’ve been in enough 4 mans to know on average only one person is going to be able to use it considering how hook spacing is now) anyone else who carries it wasted a perk slot. The amount of people on here that over exaggerate is baffling, I know this Bc I run bond and I see it all even when I play solo.

So please if you’re going to say that a single ds MAYBE two in a match can alter it that much(which they completely can if you chase that single survivor around long enough) you have to accept the fact that a rancor that robs people of 2 hooks and a mori that robs people of two hooks doesn’t do the exact same thing completely altering a match. You’d be a liar if you said they weren’t huge game changers Bc they are.

so imho I think my points are extremely valid, well thought out, not biased ,and incredibly fair points.

most lower rank killers are the Effin worst about those kind of things.
higher ranks ehhh it’s a mix of all types of killer styles tbh.

I mean im not going to run it, Bc it’s obviously killer bait and I can think  of other perks id rather use over the new ds .Bc honestly I want the toxic killers to eat it knowing they can’t mori my sweet ass because they play like #########, and I don’t think they should be rewarded for a mindless game play of tunneling and camping, just to have them mori me at the end Bc they’re a bastard.

  • DS was a mistake. It should have been removed. Of course they can't do that though because there is already a large amount of people crying that they don't have a free escape anymore.
As a survivor I would of rather it had been removed than this rework

  • Honestly , no.
it sounds like a nightmare for either side that comes underprepared for that match, because they don’t want to hop aboard the toxic train, and  give into a new meta Bc they want to play with perks they like.

But both sides will get frustrated from getting ran over one way or another and cave. basically being sheep hearded into a play style to counter counters. Probz gonna fill the forums with disaster end is near posts.

In other words give them free escape and force the kille to play a way he/she may don't want

Tunneling harms you in the long run. Killers that tunnel are the ones to harm themselves by doing this, yet complain about genrushing because they have no idea how to pressure survivors off gens.
Adapt. Blood Warden helps against the free escapes. Blood Warden NOED is pretty strong. If you don't like NOED like me, then Rancor can synergize pretty well with it as well, and the new DS may make the perk more worthwhile.

Ok, why the killer should play with one or other way why he/she can play as he/she likes. By saying "look we may have DS and those you will get punish because you play to win, no matter if you camp or tunneling" the game began again survivors side and way more than before because kill can't kill survivor fast enough.

If you’re a good enough killer you can get a 4K before a single gen is done. It happens, you just have to learn how survivors think

The funniest thing is when no mither people dc. I mean why cripple yourself if you are bad already?
Idk I ask myself that all the time. Or like why chase 1 survivor only the whole match instead of applying any map pressure, or even seeing if someone else is bad at running(which I promise atleast 1-2 people are on average) then dc at the end Bc everyone was about to make it out.  Or camp and tunnel a dude until all gens are done then dc Bc 3 others were about to make it out. Or dc Bc you missed your decisive when the killer downed you. I honestly dislike anyone that dcs just Bc they got the run around.

Lololol a person can dream, but that’s not going to happen 😅

If a lot of people start running it, and killers keep getting punished for mindlessly tunneling, then it'll eventually become the norm to not waste their time doing so and pressuring other survivors.

We’ll see what happens I guess. They’ve done a lot of stuff to try to prevent people from camping and tunneling but it doesn’t really lessen the amount of killers that do it. They find  ways around it.
  • What a bunch of quitters, sorry they’re tacky :/ if you did well  you deserve the satisfaction of killing them off. I hate it when my team does well and the killer ends match before we can exit. That’s why the leave option should be removed in game

  • Nerf survivors more...nerf them more. Pallets, sprint and more. It makes me sad. All good perks got nerf. It's normal that playing as survivor you use the best perks to survive. If not ds, old sprint then what? a [BAD WORD] deja vu? come on guys..You should focus on nerfing perks like rancor. In my opinion you should be able to use it when you will hook survivor at least one time. Just like with mori you have to hook survivor and that should be also with rancor because it's a mori. That would be fair because there is no counter to it. If killer have that perk you can't just do nothing. Second thing what about nurse? If you think that she shouldn't be nerfed then I guess you have never been on first rank and never played against a good nurse. In my opinion she should get longer stun after blink or idk. If you nerf rancor and nurse I would be happy. Two things that bother me the most.

Yeah rancor is going to need some conditions now, Bc that sounds incredibly broken with 0 counter. Also it’s going to become meta. Isn’t that why decisive was nerfed? It was too game changing. Rancor is killer decisive now. I mean survivors can bring the new decisive but it’s going to have consequences like getting slugged or moried. Tunnelers now have that option even further handed to them on a platter with this re-work. I could be wrong , but gathering all the information it seems like it’s more of a punishment perk for survivors just trying to do survivor objectives like altruism against a killer already not keeping gen pressure and hook sitting a survivor,  than a re-work. That’s my thoughts on it at least.

however ,thank you for answering our questions and concerns! It helps clarify a lot.

  • As a survivor I feel safe when I see tapps in my group. Just like when I see Feng Mins, safe. I’ve noticed most of the people that play them are above average players.

You can counter it by just not tunneling. It's easy lol

Lololol a person can dream, but that’s not going to happen 😅
  • I think dead hard is better
  • As a killer main, I think that the ability for survivors to fully recover ONCE is fair. Otherwise, No Mither or Unbreakable for further recoveries.

that also seems fair. I’d take that too.

@HeroLives Just get Unbreakable. On PC it's a teachable perk for a free character and on the console version, it's just a generic perk. There is no good, justifiable reason as to why anyone who is against slugging wouldn't have this perk.

The only reason you might not have this perk is that, "I haven't had a chance to grind Bill yet." or "I just haven't seen it in my bloodweb yet."

I know that your post is a response to the DS rework that has a solid fourth of the community at least fearing for a new wave of mass slugging. Just keep calm and unlock Unbreakable now, before the change goes live, okay? Everything is going to be fine.

You talk to me as if I’m a new player, or like I don’t have unbeakable. I have it. I have it unlocked for everyone I’m on ps4 and since it’s a bill perk and we couldn’t get bill his perks are naturally unlocked for everyone. I’m just saying it my observation of matches on ps4 slugging is an issue already, dirty slugging too , ya know the toxic kind. It’s only going to get worse from what I’ve gathered from all the responses from the killers too the new ds rework.  I think it’s a valid point.
  • I remember that monster. I saw death a many times with the insta mori it was gross

Y'all are why we can't have nice things

I don’t feel like it’s fair for the killers to have to wait around Bc other survivors were jerks and left, or Bc they all died and left me in a bad position. If I want to point at the hook and let them know it’s okay just to end me, I’ll do it. I am the nice thing. It’s okay to give killers breaks too.

@HeroLives yep, they deem being able to decide to not play because they might not have fun, perfectly acceptable, but someone DCing because they aren’t having fun, ohh no no no.

fact is both dodging and DCs  are just as bad as each other, it’s all spoilt entitlement
And all the choir sang amen 🙏
  • There’s times when I’m like please I need this pip, or please just end me so we can move on this isn’t fun for either of us. It’s a nice gesture though
  • So the counters to the new DS are moris, camping to death, slugging. All things that survivors like.

That's the theory so far. I'm curious to see how it turns out to be when the rework is released. Maybe we'll get surprised.

And I really want to know what is going to happen to Dying Light, Remember Me etc. when there are changing obsessions.

I think both sides are going to have problems with this re work. It just boils down to who is the alpha that match I guess
  • I think you can be a lax killer with lax survivors , and a demon killer to demon survivors. Merciful I mean I guess you can let the last get hatch if you want to? I’ve been a merciful survivor and let a few killers here and there kill me , Bc I felt bad and knew I pipped anyways. I’ve also ran around and not tried like an idiot for the sake of fun Bc it’s okay to not be so serious all the time. Whatever tickles your fancy at the time I guess :)
  • I play a lot of killer games, more than survivor, and to add on and on, there are poor hitboxes, glitches and all around just kicks for connection that isn't your fault, most killers won't complain but a ton of survivors will report and rage for the issues of Console. I run smooth games and I get blamed a lot for issues that don't pertain me.

Before the match If you see a bunch of red ping for the survivors leave lobby and find one with yellow or better. Odds are they’re from out of town.

    SCREW YOUR HALL PASS!

I hate the hall pass rework too and I’m a survivor that never even really used ds. I hate it Bc it promotes slugging. We both have issues , you hate the ability to work around it, I hate the ability to work around it. Let’s hate it together.

I’ve been in plenty of four mans where 2 or more die if not all of us. Usually one maybe 2 make it out. That’s also with the looking for swf posts which most 4 mans do. So just because you assume it’s going to go bad simply Bc it’s a four man makes you wrong. You don’t have to like what I say, but it’s true.

Ahh, now the typical "This does not apply to me / my SWF, therefore it isn't true at all!" argument.

I never dodge SWFs, therefore Lobby dodging is not an issue at all!

    See how this works?

I didn’t say it doesn’t apply to me, I’m saying dodging just Bc you see something is dumb Bc you’ve seen people good with those things or in four mans. I’m saying it’s ignorant to dodge based on what you see which is all the time. I’m not saying I haven’t been on a team that wrecked a killer. Just like I’ve been on a good team where the killer wrecked us with op builds. And I’ve been against killers where you get to end screen with the most op things but didn’t get a single kill. I’m not biased, I know if goes both ways.
I’m assuming English isn’t their first language so their comprehension isn’t great.
I feel like people’s inability to even fathom the game as a whole is almost incomprehensible to me. People just assume that Bc I suggest something that means I don’t think about killers. Like fam I’m with you those flashlights needed the nerf, the old bnp needed the nerf(though I disagree with how hard it was considering the price it’s still at) , a lot of those infinites needed to be closed. I’m just asking for some balance man. They act like I’m asking to escape every game because I’m asking for a Pre match  screen to be completely open or completely closed with an inability to leave match. Like ######### I play this game too. They took all the fun #########. Like I run bond, prove thyself, self care, and an exhaustion perk swapped for maybe a stealth perk. Pray I picked the last slot right . I solo 70% of the time still getting to rank 1 but mostly dying past rank 7 but still pipping. It’s rough out here damn. They want us to use different builds , I’d use much different builds depending on killer. Like you can see all our toolboxes, flashlights , medkits etc. I can’t see you’re an op ass hag and I didn’t bring urban you demon, here’s a 4K Bc you placed all those traps, camped until struggle and then tunneled and teleported. Like my god man. That’s why there are so many disconnects, they can anticipate, we can’t. You can have the best team and get completely wrecked Bc everything you brought does absolute dick to help. It does vice versa too though. Atleast killers can see what they “might”(and I use that term loosely) be in for. I’d like to “might” too. Or just have nobody know. That seems fair to me.

Not t-bagging and clicking flashlight in my face for example.

Those have special place in my basement, last night I hooked all 4 of them there. ^,..,^
They all deserved it too! Basement hook those bastard survivors. I for real will not go get someone if I saw them being a complete demon for no reason to the killer. Even if they walk away, ooops I didn’t mean to let you go into the struggle phase. Especially if the killer wasn’t camping or tunneling. I laugh at payback for BM on either side. Like sit there and think about what you’ve done.

No. Why would this be good?

Bc getting your entire team slugged and being bleed out is a  downer man. Or the killer not actually playing the game and watching you crawl around until you almost bleed out is a downer. Bc lying on the ground most of the game and not getting hooked until they have everyone down is a downer.
