Definitely gonna have lightweight and off the record in my usual survivor loadout probably won't use dead hard anymore
Lightweight works very well with Sprint Burst even right now, I recomend you changing DH for SB+LW.

Yeah survivors got nerfed hard and the buffs are for niche situations at best and encourage you to leave your entire team to die so you can escape solo. I'm so baffled that they put calm spirit in the buff section lmao, they actually looked at the 30% speed debuff and thought "yeah, people will definitely use it now".
My biggest concern is Survivor got nerfed super hard and Killer base mechanics got buffed super hard while they didnt fix anything about camping, they even made it worse with the new Monstrous Shrine and the extra 10 seconds per gen, the whole 5 seconds free BT and 7% increased speed while unhooked wont do anything, someone did the math, it gives you 1,7 extra meters...
I wouldnt mind all these perk changes if camping and tunneling where gone for good but alas, they are still on the menu and now are the cheff specialty...
-
The Survivor Meta change I dont know what will be, of the Meta perks all but DH and BT got demolished, most of them are unusable, like Red Herring level of unusable.
The supposed buffed perks to spice up the meta only Off The Record and Lightweight got buffed, the rest are not enough to be useful or are direct nerfs.
- Calm Spirit got nerfed masively, it was bad before now its an active hindrance to your team, you want hexes cleansed ASAP and nobody cleanses with the Killer around because odds are he will be able to see you anyway.
- Sole Survivor still garbage and still promotes letting people die, its only use is for escaping through the gates during EGC but by that point is better to just get Left Behind and aim for Hatch.
- Saboteur minor buff which acomplishes nothing, if you run it now and go for a sabo you are going to sabo the hook where the Killer is going, doesnt matter if its scourge or not, it will be the same, nobody presabos the hooks, they just wait until the Killer is close and breaks them, scourge or no scourge, you want the save the guy not force the Killer towards a regular hook, plus nobody sabos with the perk, sabo builds are done with toolboxes.
- Bothany got buffed but its just a 13% increase, We'll Make It still trounces it.
- Lucky Break got a minor buff, still you are going to run out of use and replenishing it is not going to be easy plus it collides with Lightweight.
- Pharmacy still garbage, who gets their Pharmacy medkit stolen? you dont run Pharmacy if you are bringing another item into the trial, you run it barehanded...
- Distortion got a minor buff, problem with this perk is except BBQ the stuff that consumes charges eats them very fast, Ive been playing with lately and things like Undying or Darkness Revealed can eat your charges before the Killer gets its second hook, having to stay around the Killer out of chase for 30 seconds is too much to make it worthwhile.
- Deja Vu still garbage.
- No One Left Behind still superniche and Solos are going to skidoodle anyway (which is the smart thing tho).
- Dark Sense got changed, its change is... I dont know it looks bad but Ill give it the benefit of the doubt (the Killer entering 24 meters of you and showing its aura its only good if you are in Lerys or The Game, if you are in normal maps you will see him by that time anyway).
- Hope same problem that No One Left Behind.
- Tenacity doesnt work if the Killer doesnt slug and he will notice you have it so he will know you are up to something so you are most definitely getting hooked.
- Overzealous still garbage, if the Killer doesnt bring a Hex you dont get to use it and if you cleanse a regular totem for the effect you are essentially hurting the team which is even worse since now gens are slower, plus one hit and you lose it.
- WGLF it was bad before, it still bad.

A full hook is two minutes, ten seconds longer on generators won't make camping more viable.
10 seconds on all generators, if you have to fix 5 it means 50 extra seconds which is almost a full hook state, it makes a huge difference.
Before this you had to finish 400 seconds of gens between 3 people in 120 seconds, it equaled around 130 worth of gens for each Survivor, now you have to fix 450 seconds between the same 3 people in the same 120 seconds, which equals 150 seconds, before this if you had a certain amount of work you could finish all gens before the hooked person croaked now its going to be impossible, plus travel time to each gen times.
Right now you need around 2 gens worth of progress to be able to fix everything before the guy croaks for example 2 gens at 75% and 1 at 50%, after this you are going to need a lot more, which is almost impossible, its very are to get 3 gens worth of progress before the first down unless the Killer sucks badly.
-
I dont think Ill be playing much Survivor since I dont play SWF but I suppose Ill ditch Spine Chill for Lightweight, Detectives for OTR since Ruin gets nerfed, Lucky Break for Iron Will and SB remains.
Killer pretty much what Ive playing but Ill change PGTW for Overcharge, it was the only meta perk I used so the rest remain the same.
-
Fun thing is they had to do the other way around, buff regression but leave gens as they were so Killers who engaged in chases and pressured the Survivors had it easier but campers had it tougher but for some reason they did the exact oposite...
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Welcome to fast gen era
Gen speeds were increased to 90s, camping became more effective because of longer gen speeds, kicking a gen now has instant 2.5% regression on it- I can promise you it isn't the end of the world. The fast gen era will not happen, and it will not return- the fast gen era has long gone, in fact. This would be when Brand New Parts would instantly repair generators, they couldn't be kicked, and they took 60s to complete.
But no. Basekit BT and now people may bring Prove Thyself. Must be the end of everyone's career playing DBD.
This is hilarious, Killers have received few of the strongest base buffs since a lot of time (which is a problem on itself because stuff like Nurse still exists) and people still find stuff to complain.
-
Its a nerf, the 30% increased cleansing time doesnt amount for the fact its silent, most Totem cleanses are done without the Killer around so you get a buff that rarely help with a downgrade thats always on? its a direct nerf.
-
@Crowman said:
You aren't describing anything that isn't already the case with Legion and 2% isn't going that much.
Its not 2% its the combination of 10 extra seconds per gen plus an increased 2% from Thanatophobia, current 4 stacks Thanato makes a gen go from 80 to 96 a 16 increase which for 5 gens amounts for 80 extra seconds (a whole full generator), after both changes it will go from 90 to 110 which for 5 gens amounts to 100 extra seconds (1 current gen+ 20% of another one).
Now this for normal Killers isnt that bad, normal Killers cant spread damage like madmen because either they commit to a chase or spread the damage, usually it takes a Killer more than 16 seconds (time to takes to heal) to spread damage unless they find 2 Survivors clustered, Legion is different, Legion can spread damage easily since their power gives them free first hits plus it adds 12/8 extra seconds to the 16 seconds required by adding Deep Wounds on top.
This without taking on account free 2,5% insta regress from regular kicks and other regression things, not even taking Dying Light on acount.
Legion is awful to go against now, it will be even worse after the patch, Ill repeat myself, first suicide hook on every match, they want the win they can take it, not a problem for me, just let me out and let me hop into a less boring trial...

It's...not that much, unless you sit injured the entire match. It's not like Legion is setting the kill rates on fire anyway.
Its not about the killrates or the chance of escaping, its about matches that drag eternally, you could put me against a Killer designed to lose to 4E every single time but made it so every match lasted for 30 minutes and I can guarantee I would suicide or DC ALWAYS, not everyone cares only about escaping/4K, some people want to have engaging games and my idea is not having to either spend 28 seconds healing or having to deal with gens that dont finish because they take almost 2 minutes.
-
"Toughts?" after Thana gets this buff Legion is a suicide on first hook every match for me.
-
Yeah, OTR is going to be the new meta with the highest usage rate, I believe it may get to first iteration DS usage numbers.

Mm. DS not working after the exit gates are powered would have been fine.
Spine Chill also got too hefty a nerf.
The big issue though is that basekit BT isn't going to do all that much to discourage facecamping, as the killers capable of doing this effectively can drill through endurance fairly easily.
Nah Spine didnt get hefty nerfed, it got demolished if the changes goes through, it only gives you info if the Killer can already see you which in turn means you can see the Killer too, how incredible useful...

We've tested a whole bunch of durations for them leading up to this, and often times they felt too long to be in the base kit. 5 seconds may not sound like much, but it can be a game changer. As long as you can reach a pallet in that time, it accomplishes the same thing. Alternatively, another Survivor can use this time to get in position and take a hit for you.
5 seconds doesnt sound like much because it isnt much, camping and tunneling are going to increase because the increased gen times made the strategy stronger plus DS being nerfed its even going to make it even more appealing.
The cherry on the top is Monstrous Shrine making people die faster on Scourge hooks and the basement, so proxy camping is even better.
-
I dont like it either, while the strongest regression in the game the perk is a gamble, it can win you the match because the totem never gets found or it can be snuffed in the first 30 seconds leaving you with 3 perks. If you like reliability Ruin is not a good perk, if you want taking risks for a chance of greater rewards then Ruin is exactly what you need.
Plus it doesnt work that well with low mobility Killers, if dont play gotta-go-fast or teleporting Killers Ruin loses a lot of efectieness.

Ok, thanks. But do I keep the perks that I have already learned for some survivors and killers, or do they become null and void and I have to start from the beginning? Because if so, then I'm gonna drop this game entirely, because the only character that I have prestiged, is Claudette
In theory you keep what you have unlocked already.

Hmmm. I honestly don't know. In her lore she's a human who was preyed upon by cannibals. I think in Wendigo mythology, it's not a human, but a humanoid creature. Maybe she was inspired by the idea? But since they didn't say it explicitly, I think they can still make a Wendigo and have it be unique from her.
@AshInTheTallGrass said:

I think there's still room for an actual Wendigo.
As far as I know the wendingo is a spirit that posseses humans and gives them the desire to eat and kill other humans or humans who become wendigos because they get overpowered by gluttony or greed.
Once possesed/transformed the victim has the appearance of a very thin human to the point of looking emaciated, bones and joints being almost visible because it has very little meat to cover them, with eyes completely sunk and the mouth contorted without lips. They look and behave pretty much like Hag minus the tendency for hanging people on hooks and teleporting power, even her Mori is about eating the victim.
I think you may be mixing the modern media depiction of the wendigo which has been made more monstrous and eldritch than the folk one or in some cases they mix a wendigo and the sasquatch and give them hairy coats and ape like features.
-
We already have one, Hag is pretty much a voodoo version of the wendigo.
-
Dark Devotion is not that bad for instadown Killers like Myers, you hit the Obssession, they go away, the guy who was with the Obssession goes back to the gen, you go back and instant EW3 him without him being able to hear your TR.
That being said is one of those perks that the effect is not bad per se but is so niche its not really worth it, the chances of getting value out of it are slim compared to other stuff like PGTW or Tinkerer so its better to take those instead.
-
Its probably getting a rework and I wouldnt be surprised if it doesnt have to do with basement anymore.

And again, that still comes with the hurdle that you need to put 150 levels into each character before you get the benefit of the new system. Even if you have perks unlocked from other killers, you still need to P3 each new killer to get their perks, whether you have every other perk on that killer or not. The only time the grind gets smaller is that once they're P3 you don't need an additional 200 levels of perk collecting, something which no new player has to deal with for a huge amount of time anyway. The initial insurmountable grind for new players is basically untouched as they generally won't prestige something before working on a new character for teachables.
But once you get everyone at 150 which isnt that much of a problem (with current system the real grind is getting every character to P3 and once there every perk on every character), getting 150 lvls can be done relatively fast and then you would still be getting double BPs which then would go into green/purple/pink addons and items.
Imagine how the game would be if every Survivor used puple medkits instead of browns, BNPs, purple flashlights with the best bateries and all Killers running their strongest addons because thats what excess BPs does, some streamers who play only one Killer and pour BPs on them have like 200 of the best addons and some dont even use BBQ that much, I believe its something the developers dont want and one of the main reasons they didnt fix the grind just by giving double BPs as base.

During these kinds of events i stack flans or whatever item on my characters already prestiged and don't level at all the others until the event is over, so it doesn't feel like a waste. Then i use all the flans to gain bps and keep leveling
I believe its better to level a lvl1 character to 50, burn all its event stuff and prestiging it then repeating the process, this way you dont pour points into characters already prestiged.
-
@anarchy753 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3012218#Comment_3012218
I don't think they'd remove the BP bonuses altogether. Until you get everything prestiged the grind is just as massive as before, and their big issue is new player retention, there's no reason to halve the points players can get just because people with thousands of hours don't need them as much.
Not really, with the new system they announced first characters can take a while same as now but once you prestige someone to P3 you cut the number of Bloodwebs by 9 for everyone else since theyll have those perks unlocked, there will be a point where a lvl 40 Killer will have every perk unlocked because the rest of the cast is at P3 (there are 13 general perks, each has 3 ranks, 13*3 = 39 levels to get all general perks). Plus you dont lose anything after prestiging so you keep your addons, offerings and items which means there wont be any reason to not prestige anymore.
Sure they can make the BP increases base but after the update theyll be pointless.
-
I believe Tinkerer is going to get some form of CD, the main problem I see with it now is it hits, you scare the Survivors, regress the gen with Ruin, they come back, hits again, repeat ad nauseam, it can trigger over and over and while for regular Killers this is nothing for the high mobility Killers like Blight or Nurse its a bit too much.
Sole Survivor I dont think it will be related to people dying mainly because it would promote a wrong way of playing, this is "let your teammates die if you want to use this perk" and how strong the effects had to be to justify letting someone die? I believe it will reworked into some form of "you get this thing as long as you dont have anyone around in X meters", maybe some sort of reverese Prove Thyself?
PGTW is not getting buffed, its already a meta perk and one of the best regression perks in the game.
Distortion may get a way of increasing the tokens, the perk right now is decent but if the Killer has some sort of aura reading the tokens go down very fast, its only use is to bypass BBQ because the others just eat them too fast.
Spine Chill may get some sort of CD, the main strength and why its so favored over Premonition or Alert its its activation condition is permanent and the perk has no CD, Premonition has 30 seconds, Alert depends on the Killer breaking stuff, Spine always works.
Other than those your suggestions are pretty feasible.
@anarchy753 said:
The fact that both BBQ and WGLF were on the list makes me think that both BP bonuses will be baked into the base game. BBQ alone is a fine perk, and will get some use but not be meta without the BP bonus, and that'll be healthy for the game and open up the use of many other detection perks. I can't see them just essentially halving killer BP gains with no compensation.
Since the center is usually "free space," I would say "BHVR completely misses the point of why a perk is popular/unpopular and nerfs/buffs it in a way which has literally no impact on how often it's used."
I would also say that I think BT and Corrupt will both be made base kit with much shorter durations, and the perks will be changed to extend that effect rather than add it.
Actually I believe both bonus wont be made base and they will just dissappear as grinding is going to become almost non existant once the prestige update hits so theyll give both perks another extra effect instead of the points.

Its not a waste of time to prestige, because even if the reward is lame you will still unlock their perks for every other character
While you are absolutely right, if you prestige after the update you wont lose your addons, offerings and items so if the reward isnt something you are really interested it will be better to prestige after mainly to avoid losing of all the stuff.
-
They said the rewards are not cosmetic items, charms nor currency, I dont think its going to be something awesome and most definitely its going to be a massive dissapointment because outside of cosmetics there isnt much they can give and people are a bit hyped about it.
I suppose theyll give info this week when they talk about the perk revamp.
-
If by a lot of maps you are counting Midwich and RPD only then yes, you are right.
The Game is awful, as Killer its just safe pallet after safe pallet, its a race to see if they run out of pallets or you run out of gens, as Survivor its boring because its just loop a few circles, throw, chain towards the next safe loop, repeat ad nauseam... its a Survivor sided map but its a boring Survivor sided map.
-
SB is very good and I believe it will get the Exhaustion throne after DH gets changed but the problem with SB is it never blunders, unlike DH or other Exhaustion perks.
DH is one of those perks with a ton of potential for insanely game winning plays, squeezing one more loop to reach the pallet, throw it and then chaining towards another loop is something only DH can achieve and SB will never be able to do, on the other hand, you will never use SB on the middle of nowhere and end up downed 2 seconds later because the Killer didnt fall for it, SB is more stable, it will always give you the same value while DH disparity allows for great stuff but also for massive disasters.
People only remember the times DH forced them to extend a chase 40 seconds, never when it achieved nothing and Ive seen enough streamers throw a huge rant when DH gives value 2 times in a match but when DH fails 4 times? all fine and dandy "look chat, these noobs hehe stupid survmains!".
The fact that SB is the only Exhaustion perk which never fails is what I believe will make people go bonkers and exclaim it has 0 counterplay and after that we all know what happens...

I'm echoing worry about displaying prestige ranks in postgame - people really do claw for any opportunity to both justify to themselves that the match wasn't fair, and to look for any available avenue to put down others they're unhappy with. Prestige levels I think will open up a lot of opportunities for these kinds of players to be more of a sourpuss in postgame chat.
I mean, I pretty commonly see unhappy small-game TTVs immediately open up steam profiles in postgame just to find things to scour off of that to use as insults! It's part of the reason why I keep my profile private which, of course, leads to them concluding that I'm a possible cheater instead.
😕
If only it was the small time TTVs... As long as is only on the postgame it shouldnt be that much of a problem, whoever blames their teammates prestige character for their lose will blame them regardless, if they dont have data theyll make it up.
I agree there should be an option to make it hidden tho, options are always good.

Agreed to disagree, but even if it was the case, I dont want the developers to deprive me of their gamestyle, especially if they get reworked into something we have plenty of already. If I wanted a Killer with a chasing power I would be playing Nurse, Blight or Spirit, as I said if they are weak and I underperform is my own problem, noone is forcing me to play them.
Demanding buffs or tweaks? I can understand, demanding full reworks and extinguishing an entire gamestyle in the process? Nah.

Actually I agree, they should remove hatch when all 5 gens are powered and there is only one Survivor left, this way I can inmerse myself until the Killers get bored and open the gate themselves, this way I can guarantee my escape since I would just need to run towards the opened gate without having to risky myself for 20 seconds.

But then I have to ask. What is the need of needing a counter that strong when locks are already strong. Why force the dredge into a locked locker as if this character isn't already practically forced into running the "escape lockers 1 second faster" addon because of how strong locking lockers is.
The killer is too mid tier to be needing to force him into locked lockers.
It takes 2 seconds to get out of a locked locker, you can break them while walking the map, the Survivor has to get to the locker and lock it (yes, locking takes 0,5 seconds but going to the locker and then going back to a gen takes a bit more) and they can only be locked once per trial, thats not what I call a strong counter to a power.

If anything feels unfair or broken, of course people will complain.
People dogpiling on DH/SB now are about as silly as people dogpiling on Nurse - no one knows the perk/system changes at this point.
If they, say, buff Self Care to CoH levels of silliness, why wouldn't people jump on the discussion?
Of course stuff that feels unfair is deserving of complains that is normal but what its absurd is the way the comunity bandwagons stuff just because, a lot of complained stuff hasnt changed much or changed at all but since someone with visibility decided to go after something else they just forget about it so either it wasnt broken enough for people to literally cry or have mental breakdowns or they dont even know why they were complaining in the first place. I complain about Nurse being broken and if they buff Coulrophobia to give a 10000% gen slowdown to the entire map Ill complain about both things because Nurse is still broken.
Then again, the thread is about how SB is actually a strong perk and has a lot of chances for being the next bandwagon because thats how the comunity behaves since 2018.

Iron Will received a bunch of complaint threads after the recent Stridor nerf/sound calculation change.
BT also received a bunch of complaint threads after it allowed for almost guaranteed safe unhooks/teammate farming during the period that Emblems still determined rank.
Most people are stating that SB will NOT be as powerful as DH and providing solid reasoning. The weaknesses of SB are more than apparent. Most of the posts stating otherwise come from the same old DH defenders and/or people known for just being contrary for the sake of being a contrarian - Time will certainly tell which is stronger.
Finally, I hope you see the irony in your last paragraph - I don't think the topic is worth the emotional investment you're giving it.
Im not putting any emotional investement into this, Im just discussing why I believe SB has a lot of tickets to be the next target for "nerf this" threads because its actually a very good perk, Im not saying is as powerful as DH or it will be, I dont know why you imply Im stating that, what Im implying is, people always bandwagon against something, then they bandwagon against something else even if the first thing that caused the outrage is left untouched and that is a fact because it has been happening since forever.
Sure, BT and IW got some complaints, a lot of stuff get complains from time to time, but they never got the same attention they got when they were targeted, there wasnt a ton of daily threads about them, the complains after they were targeted lasted 1 week and then people went to pile up against wathever was the current target which is what Im saying is going to happen after DH gets changed, something else will get attention from someone and suddenly everyone wants to gut it.

All of those perks are still meta aside from MoM.
Because most of them werent nerfed yet they are not contetious anymore? Adrenaline, BT and IW are the exact same as they were when I started playing (I know BT was nerfed several times but it was pretty much the way it is now when I started, except the Deep Wounds mechanic).
Where are the 4 daily threads about nerfing them into the ground? They are not broken anymore? The thing is people bandwagon and bandwagon bad, especially if Streamer™ says [Thing] is superbroken, even if the problems with [Thing] stem from their own mistakes, I do believe DH needs a change but once its changed it wont be long before something gets targeted again and SB has a lot of tickets to be the new target.
Edit: It also feels tiresome a lot of the nerf perk daily threads invoke how miserable players are and how much it hurts their emotional being seeing someone using wathever perk is the current target, like come on, what kind of easy life you have for it for DH/Adrenaline/BT/Wathever being the thing that makes you miserable? give me a break with the sad feelings over a freaking game...

It's really not, SB is a very fair perk, you wanna save it for the chase? Good luck walking everywhere, you're 99ing it? Good, that's alot of setup so you deserve it
Killers are going to complain about SB or wathever other perk, Killers ALWAYS complain about a perk, is a neverending cycle of complains, DH isnt the first perk to cause an outrage and it wont be the last, SB has a lot of potential to be the next contentious issue because it directly affects chases but the shift could go to any other perk, especially the reworked ones.
On top of my head the complains since I started playing were: BT -> Self-Care -> Adrenaline -> DS -> MoM -> IW -> DH -> CoH -> DH and pretty much at least one perk from every Survivor on the PTB until the Survivor releases and the perks show they are actually useless. Not saying some perks werent worth of complaining, especially release MoM and first iteration DS, but it gets tiresome seeing a perk nerfed and 1 week later the same exact "Nerf [Perk] its OP and Killer feels miserable, this Survivor used [Perk] and now my feelings hurt badly" threads.

The reason its not talked about as much is new players aren't learning how to 99 it like they used to but once dh is gone again they will and just like before it will be the top discussion on the forums. If people learned how to 99 sb which in my opinion is way better than dh for distance instead of just relying on the iframes of dead hard all you would hear about is how sb is unfair.
Also people fail to take on account one of the reasons Sprint Burst is so underrepresented even when its so damn good is because its an exhaustion perk and you can only run one of those so people running DH will never equip SB, DH being picked 75% at high MMR means there is only room for a 25% SB usage.
They are both mutually exclusive and SB being displaced by DH has made a lot of people forget how painful is to see someone SB away directly into Shack, Springwood houses of pain, the meat tree, Myers house etc... every single time you spot them (or directly never had to experience it because they started playing after DH overshadowed anything else).

If the DH nerf is enough to make it garbage SB will take the spot, its the most reliable of every exhaustion perks, its always there, doesnt have any activation conditions, will always work, will always give you a decent headstart, can be used in any condition, its only problem is the others have more potential for greater plays but said potential is so hard and dependant almost never happens.
Balanced Landing: extremely map and position dependant, some maps barely have any elevations and some of them only the hills, which are awful spots to go when being chased.
Lithe: dependant on windows and sometimes vaulting a window/pallet and getting the speed may force you to change the tile if you want to take advantage of it and it may be a super safe tile.
Overcome: doesnt work if you are injured or against an insta down Killer.
Smash Hit: requires a pallet stun, if the pallet is safe you may not want to leave the tile, if the pallet is unsafe the Killer will respect it.
Head On: please...

They will eventually appear on the Shrine so no, while her perks are decent they are not strong enough to justify a buy if the Killer doesnt appeal you.

BHVR has already said many times they wont get real world religion inspired stuff so I wouldnt count on it. Which makes sense because ofending people nowadays is super easy and getting yourself under flak because you despicted wathever religious thing in a way that someone didnt like is extremely dangerous from a PR point of view.
P.D. yes, Plague is a priest but her religion is completely made up and there arent any real practicioners who could get offended by it.

Its probably nothing too important, I wouldnt sweat over getting everything at P3, especially if you have every character unlocked, mainly because I suspect the reward is going to be dissapointing.

Its midnight and Im reading this as a general "why do people hate this"
I think its because tbagging is, both in general gaming culture and especially DbD Survivor culture, used to convey dominance over your defeated opponent. Survivors use it to essentially gloat to the Killer, so to suddenly have a Killer turn that around must hurt.
Same thing with a Killer nodding or shaking their head. Personally, I love yo bag with my GF, especially with Devour Hope moris. Just adds that extra bit
Its not something especially DBD Survivor culture, Killers dont tbag not because they have a sense of honor or dont want to tilt others, its because only Jigsaw and Ghostface can actually tbag and weirdly enough, when those two want to taunt others they actually tbag, colored me surprised...
Its overall a gaming thing, especially in games where there isnt an ingame chat, DBD has only 2 emotes and doesnt have an ingame chat where you can diss people so Survivors are restricted to Tbag, pointing, come here and flashclicking to interact with the Killer and the Killer to nodding, hitting on hook and powerspam over hook/body to interact with the Survivors. Weirdly enough all 7 actions are considered toxic...

Yea that's exactly how it went dude.
I got tbagged one game and thought "wait, this upsets people?"
Then I got tbagged in a couple more matches and I was still trying to conjure up a reason why it should bother me, and I couldn't find one so I asked here.
I get tbagged in my killer matches too and it doesn't bother me but now I've been tbagged from both sides and I fear there is something wrong with me as I'm struggling internally to figure out why it would be upsetting
Dont overthink it, its the same as people getting angry/enraged about some random person on a car flipping a finger at them or calling them an insult, I can understand getting angry if you are in a verbal altercation and someone insults you but random person passing with their car and insulting randoms? maybe mildly annoyance at the idea of childish/vulgar behaviour but raging the way a lot of people rage after stuff like that? absurd yet a lot of people go bonkers over it. There are videos of people completely out of themselves chasing cars on foot after being insulted, what do they expect to achieve? getting ran over by incoming traffic? beat Usain Bolt world record and then Muhammad Ali boxing record? its better to chill at pointless provocations yet some people cant help themselves.
