What Rank are you? I'm Rank 12 for the moment and my lobbies range from instant to 5 Minutes while my Survivor lobbies take forever.
-
Completing challenges will make it easier but yeah it takes forever to get 1 Fragment, I'm halfway done with the first Tome and I'm at Tier 13 but I started at 9 because I had progress from the PTB.
It's going to take a while but because each Tome is I think 2 weeks apart from each other I think the timing is just enough for us to get enough Frags before the next Tome and the Tomes will act as a booster.
-
That bell always confused me but I'm more interested in his outfits and why he's so bestial. In his lore he's just some guy who got pissed he was murdering people unawares and now he is this enraged psychopath who's outfits revolve around being non-human? It has always struck me as odd so I am excited as well.
-
I love Ghostface, my favorite outfit for him so far is his Legacy jacket and the P3 mask, they go together so perfectly.
I am a stealthy player so Ghostface's tactics come naturally to me, I'm sure if I had more time to play Killer I could probably get to the Red Ranks with him; even though I don't want to.
Ghostface's stealth can be used to juggle, immediately switch targets while in a chase with the other Survivor not even aware of what's going on until it's too late. The Red Stain disappears and I am taking full advantage of his crouch, trying to find the right way to mindgame loops with it, Ghostface is awesome.

This had better not be the norm as it is boring and every event is not actually an event but a new Rift.
Just make all Gens and hooks decorated and Offerings give you a bonus multiplier for points.
Vials can still be obtained by doing Gens and it would have to be a specific number but at least it feels like you're actually working towards a vial. The same can go for Hooks and Moris but you would get more progress from a Hook.
I also think they should have brought back those Pestula sacks, even if no one can actually drain them they would have been sick decorations and make the map feel more alive. But we just got the Rift because they have been focusing on something new, not like they could just re-use old assets like they do every year...weird.
-
The ''Event'' is the Rift as everything revolves around that.
I posted a discussion on how to fix this as this Event does not feel like an Event, the Xmas Event was more festive than this.
Basically all Gens and Hooks are decorated as Blighted, Offerings increase the Multiplier you get from Hooking and completing Gens. This way it looks like an Event is going on since decorations are literally everywhere and no one has to struggle to actually get the bonus points.
The serum is in the Rift to avoid how hard it was with last year's event so I understand why they did it but it feels cheap and like you're not actually working for it. The vial we had last year was sick and awesome, it felt like we were making progress and they could have kept that but chose to focus entirely on the Rift because it gets them more money...yay.

My child, I have arrived. Another Fred Head has already given you his best build----Thana, Sloppy, Knockout, and Dying Light with Swing Chains and the Black Box <3
But I come bearing gifts, BEHOLD
BASEMENT FREDDY---Iron Grasp, Agitation, Devour Hope and Save The Best For Last, you must use Snares with this build as Survivors will trip them on the way down the stairs and then when the time is right teleport to the closest Gen, hopefully it's above the Basement.
MY WORLD---Tinkerer, Thrilling Tremors, Cruel Confinement, and a perk of your choice---the goal of this build is to get the warning from Tinkerer and then time the teleport just right so when you get there the Gen completes trapping them all in their CAGE!!!! Thrilling Tremors is to cement that this match is yours and you hold the power here and that the Entity is on your side; it also tells you what Gen is being worked on lol

That actually worked? That's hilarious.

Am I crazy for thinking Killers should get points if an event gen is done (if they put down an offering) and survivors should get points if the killer uses an event hook (again, assuming they put down the offering)?
I know they are competing against each other but man it is so much easier to get the extra BP as survivor since even if you don't do anything as long as you put down the offering you get the gen extra BP. As killer you have to do it all yourself!
I don't think anyone would complain if both sides got more BP.
It would def be healthier and make everyone happy. Right now I'm getting 10 minute lobby times as a Survivor because of this bs.

I kinda miss the oozing plants. I wish they just reworked how collecting vials worked rather than completely remove them.
Those were so cool, I loved those things. They oozed and hissed, the squelching noises, it really made the map look like it was alive and made the event feel special.

I just wish the offerings spawned 2 that way you only have to use 2 to have 5 cankerous gens
Or every Gen can just be a Halloween Gen and offerings can give you extra points.

Completely repair 4 Generators in a single trial, yeah I can see that happening if you're SWF but ######### every solo player. Search 4 Chests, this is impossible because everyone loots chests, especially everyone with this challenge. Unhook 3 Survivors during the EGC, right like this is even remotely possible for a solo player. Break 8 pallets in a single trial, as easy as that sounds it could actually be difficult if you get good Survivors who just don't drop them because they're greedy. Sacrifice 3 Survivors during the EGC, so lose the entire match just so you can kill them at the very end IF they don't immediately run out the Exit because you have NOED.
Yeah this isn't going to happen.

Ultra rares are mostly 💩 anyways. Either they're good but have a massive downside or just bad. Iri King is the best Ultra rare addon killers have and even that will be 💩 after the Devs rework Doctor's addons.
Mostly bad yes and that's a problem the Devs don't care about but one we should be caring about because they are giving Ultras to Killer who don't have any. Why give someone an Ultra if it's going to be intentionally bad anyway? Just stop wasting time on things that don't matter.

Legion is designed to juggle four survivors at once though. Plague can't do that as well as Legion(She still can, but not as well as Legion, because she can't keep track of all four). Of course if Legion hits people while they're already injured, he'll only give them Deep Wounds, his power isn't meant to down them, and if he COULD down them with it, he would be severely overpowered. Imagine running as fast as Wraith cloaked and still being able to down people. You hit as many as possible with DW, then on your last survivor you down them. The other four have to mend if they're out of your TR, which gives you time. If they heal, it gives you even more time. I believe the devs did as much as possible to give players a fast killer without making them overpowered, by setting limits on it's use. If they had not set limits. Legion would be more powerful than Nurse, because you wouldn't be able to get away from them.
I'm not saying make him overpowered, I'm saying the problem with Legion and why they aren't scary and why using the power is a detriment at times is why they are weak.
I'm not saying make their power down people I am saying their power should be an actual threat just as Plague's sickness is a threat. The Sickness keeps you Broken while Legion just injures you but you can still heal, if you Cleanse Plague gets an upgrade so her power is a threat whether they choose to stay Broken or not. DW is not a threat it is NOT a threat and a power should be threatening or inconvenience Survivors. I do not see Legion as a threat, when I get hit I Mend and carry on with I'm doing and quickly forget about that dude that wanted to play tag with me. When they come back and if they choose to tag me again I just get annoyed because that player thinks they're ruining my day, my day would have been ruined if they hit me normally, not force me to Mend for 10 seconds 29 seconds after he left me alone.
Impossible Skill check Doctor on the Game map has more juggle power than Legion and his power isn't even a threat.
-
It has been said that if a player disconnects while the game is loading then the match is canceled and you keep your stuff. This is indeed pathetic and he is also de-ranking on purpose to play against lower rank Survivors which is a side effect of his true intention. It is sad to see these kinds of things.

His power doesn't help survivors in any way however, Plague's power cannot kill if you don't cleanse, but she's basically tier 3 Myers all game. Should her power be changed as well? They're very similar aside from Legion moving faster while Plague taking a while to put you in that injured state.
Well when I say beneficial I do mean that if they are already injured and you use the power they get BT and that's better than getting downed, that's as if you weren't already injured. Unlike Plague, Legion can't upgrade their power to down anyone and must hit them normally. I can see what you mean though with Plague and Legion being similar but Plague doesn't get a 4 second stun when she vomits and she can upgrade her power as well as not give Survivors any second chance such as cause Deep Wounds so Plague is much better than Legion so Legion should be buffed to match her.
So for an example of replacing DW with something else, FF can instead put them into a state similar to Madness where they can't heal, cleanse totems, or even do Gens. So for a fixed amount of time they are in a state where they can't do anything and just run around like chickens. I think Mending takes 10 seconds so this could last 10 seconds and would be so much stronger than DW because you can still do all those things while you're in the TR and a smart Survivor takes advantage of those things. Right now, once Legion hits you it's a 50/50 chance they won't keep chasing you so can just Mend right there or just do a Gen while they are chasing someone nearby and once the TR is gone you still have 30 seconds before you fall down so time is on your side.

I don't know man, Object seems fine as it is right now. Of course outside swf, its ridiculous how easy this game is when you are on comm with one person constantly telling you what killer is doing exactly.
Well there you go, Object is a perk that everyone agrees is super powerful when combined with SWF and this was before Stealth Killers got their 100% obvious buff they should have had since the very beginning. I don't use Object of Obsession as I enjoy being sneaky and being chased but you can't be sneaky if you can be seen. I came up with this idea because I saw some people were deeply offended that they could be seen by Stealth Killers but can't see them and while at first I felt those people were selfish entitled hypocrites I realized that they are still right so maybe the perk should be changed so both parties can counter it whether they are a Stealth Killer or not.
-
So not only did they bring back the Event Hooks but they can be SABOTAGED AGAIN TOO?!
So now Killers need Iron Grasp AND Hangman's Trick JUST TO PLAY THE GAME.
Great job guys, 3 years and you learned nothing.
The Rift was so important
-
The biggest problem Legion has right now is that his power Deep Wounds is tied to Borrowed Time and they work exactly the same way, Legion's DW is actually STRONGER than BT because Legion's has a 30 second timer rather than BT's 20. If BHVR just replaced what FF actually did to Survivors then Legion would be fixed because BT is not a threat towards Survivors, it never was and it was never designed to be as it was first introduced as a Survivor Perk, that right there says this cannot be weaponized and Legion proved that by making it too powerful and needed a nerf.
Legion needs FF to do something else and then the Add-ons should reflect what that is and technically that is a buff to the base power and add-on changes.
-
I never use it because I see a lot of stupid insta-saves but I have found that the higher rank I get the less this happens but instead I get 2 hooked or even 1 because...reasons? Maybe I should run it after saying that lol It's a damn shame it doesn't work with 2nd Wind though, that combo would be sick.

Get to Rank 8 as Wraith and see how easy it is, get higher and you'll change your mind even faster.
Wraith is one of the worst Killers because he gets that massive slowdown when he uncloaks, someone is vaulting a window you better hope you uncloak fast enough to hit them bro. Gens going super fast? Probably because no one knows where you are and you can't apply pressure since all you can do is go fast.
Wraith IS a simple Killer, too simple to be a good threat against good teams. This is why every Wraith I see camps and tunnels, they can't play like normal Killers who can teleport or like Ghostface who has stealth with no slowdown etc.

Dude lol this would have been perfect! Make every hook an event hook and just use an offering to get the extra BP and of course up it to 5K.
-
Well think about it this way, when you're facing Trapper and you can see him because of Object and you're good at using it at the right time, that Trapper could go a long time before realizing that you even have that perk giving you the exact same situation where someone can see everything you're doing and there is nothing you can do about it; just like what you go through with Stealth Killers; that is fair as it is the exact same scenario.
Object of Obsession is a bad perk to be in this game and it was completely 100% unfair for Killers, anyone who disagrees is not allowed to have an opinion as they are bad people. You can say it is a good perk for Survivor and yes you can say that the Killer can see you too and that's fair too you would be right. All I am actually saying is that wall hacking perks that have an unlimited duration with no way to turn it off is bad for this game.
If you have Object then you are spying on a Killer who cannot counter it.
If you have Object and you cannot see the Killer because they are in Stealth that is a counter, the change gave the perk a counter and a fair counter at that. You wanted to spy on someone and now thye tables are turned against you, that is horrifying and I understand. Maybe the perk should just get taken out of the game.

Ah yes after 3 years they haven't fixed the one event that tears the community apart. This is ironic since the first Hallowed Blight was a greed fest and the most toxic and hardest event created, and the Devs realized that and took it away. Now our 2nd Withering Blight is back to just the NORMAL TOXIC EVENT we always have, great changes everyone 👏
The community have come up with dozens of different ways to do an Event, damn I even remember a thread last year that was Pinned that asked everyone what kind of event they wanted, HUNDREDS of fair and balanced ideas in there they didn't give us; AWESOME 😍
Instead they chose to focus solely on the Battle Pass to get money from everyone, wonder why they didn't focus on balance and creating an event that everyone could enjoy. Wallets be getting light nowadays.
I love chasing Survivors to the edge of the map because they know that an Event Hook is nowhere near it and I can't possibly hook them; that is so fun <3

HA! 🤣
YES!!!! The almighty devs are forcing us to play unfair!!! They want us to be scummy!!!! They want us to implement tactics that no one enjoys, Killers don't enjoy slugging for the 4 man and Survivors hate being slugged and now they want us to waste 2 MINUTES for someone to die by the EGC.
Glorious challenge

Had the same ######### yesterday. One guy instantly disconnected after they got grabbed off a gen. Even with a 3v1 this poor Rank 11 had no chance versus 3 red rank survivor.
Damn, that's even worse than mine. When they made changes to the Ranks I was so happy because I could play Killer without facing Red Ranks, guess not😂

I play both
I prefer Killer but because of my job I usually only have time for Survivor :(

I really like Haddonfield with Ghostface as there are a lot of blindspots and things to hide behind so stalking or just sneaking is so much easier. But this map is very unbalanced, there are long hedges and fences that make getting a hit or being unable to loop fast enough 100% and sometimes those long hedges screw you over when you realize that pallet that spawns at the end didn't spawn this time. There is also an infinite in the Myers house if you have BL and the last thing we need in this game are infinites or anything close to resembling them.
-
I think this perk just needs a buff to the speed, right now it's at 50% speed and running a toolbox is a lot more reliable and faster than this perk so upping to 75% wouldn't be so bad.
Unless this perk works with toolboxes and gives all Sabo actions with toolboxes the extra sabo time, if that's the case then nevermind.
-
Well lets ask ourselves ''is the Stalk resetting upon getting hit actually beneficial and fair for Survivors''?
SCENARIO---Meg is at a Gen that's 85% done and Ghostface gets most of his Stalk on her before she sees him and breaks him out. Ghostface realizes it's now or never and stabs her resetting her progress and she runs off while Ghost Kicks the Gen. Meg runs into a corner and starts healing herself and Ghostface gets his Stealth back and finds her.
So in this Scenario Meg is benefited by her losing her Stalk as she can heal to full and Ghostface would have to start his entire Stalk all over again thereby being unable to instantly down her after she heals.
The counter to this scenario is that Ghostface is STILL STALKING HER, whether she has progress or not she is still being Stalked and is probably going to go down a few seconds from now because she doesn't know he's there. The only real thing that matters is how much Stalk she has which is nothing.
I Propose----Stalk is only reset on a Survivor when they enter the Dying State on the ground.
If Stalk can't be reset at all then it leads to some nasty plays at the very end where Ghost has been saving his own personal NOED and insta-stalks them. If their progress gets reset on the ground then Ghost still has to start over when they get off the hook.

Yeah i think it was True, but that sounded like an excellent idea because then it turns into an actual 1v1 of skill and not just hide till hatch.
I like it to because it doesn't actually add anything new into the game, the Killer still chases and the Survivor still runs away and loops, it all comes down to who is better at what they do. It is also just like the movies where the last Survivor has one last chase before they make their daring escape so it feels amazing when you get out.

Honestly this is the best solution. Several high level streamers, both survivor and killer have already mentioned this and have come up with interesting solutions.
Hatch standoff needs to end in order to end slugging. One streamer (I can't recall who) mentioned when it comes down to last survivor and killer, instead of hatch, a timer appears on screen for a minute where the survivor needs to live. Once the minute is up the exit gates automatically open. But every few seconds the killer sees your aura so you are unable to hide for the entire minute. You would need to actually play and evade the killer.
I think the one you're talking about is Tru3Ta1ent, he's been having a lot of games where people keep escaping with Keys.

The Michael one is pretty unlikely, trading head to toe black for a bright blue on a stealth killer is a pretty big downgrade.
Only time it'd be cool would be on Lery's when you look like a mental patient and play with the mirror so being hard to see doesn't matter.
That's what I'm hoping to see because it would be super aesthetic, straight from the dam movies right there.
-
Now that we have an update on the Patch can anyone say what's in the Shrine? Steam is down right now, for me at least.
-
I'm excited to look at them and hopefully see people actually USE THEM, I rarely see anyone actually wearing store cosmetics when it comes to Killers.
-
How about instead of creating a strategy to counter this problem, BHVR just TAKES OUT THE PROBLEM.
The only reason Killers 4k is for
1---The Objective is to Kill
2---The Emblem system tells Killers they lost because the 4th escaped
3---The Hatch gives the 4th Survivor a FREE ESCAPE without giving the Killer a final chance to find and hunt them down, just BLIP...gone. All because they were hiding in a random corner because the odds were stacked against them and that's 100% OK, what else are they supposed to do?
If BHVR switches the Hatch for a new End Game scenario for a 1 on 1 then slugging for the 4th has no reason to exist.
If BHVR can tweak the Emblem system to not actually care about killing all 4, like it does right now, then killing all 4 won't matter. If the Emblem and Ranking system just focuses on killing 3 instead of 4 then they won't get punished when 1 Survivor escapes as they are not factored into the points system.
BHVR gives Killers a reason to slug for the 4th and only they can solve this issue
-
Survivor---Premonition
I first started playing Survivor as a sneaky person, avoid chases and try to help people without getting caught etc and Premonition helped out loads. It was also the only base perk I had that felt reliable and actually helpful and Purple is my favorite color so it was an instant match.
Killer---Devour Hope
Unlike my first Survivor perk, my Killer perk has not changed and continues to be my favorite. Devour Hope is fun as it grows stronger and has different effects as it grows in strengths then grants you the ultimate gift of a Mori. It is also an amazing starter perk when playing a new Killer as you may not be very good and could get stomped hard but Devour can carry you and get you 1 or 2 kills because of the insta-downs so it's a multi-purpose perk.
-
I view Iron Grasp purely as a Basement perk or a perk that BHVR forces you to use during Events where you need to hook someone on a far away Event Hook that Survivors purposely run very far away from; you know a healthy perk for a healthy problem.
What do you think it should change to? Maybe combine it with Agitation and then change this perk to something else, maybe ''Your clutches cripple Survivors, when you pick up a Survivor you apply a 5/10/15% Hindered status effect for as long as they are Injured''.

So if the killer instead kills the other two survivors, the EGC should start? That's not how the game is supposed to work.
No no I was saying, so in the situation you have 4 Survivors but then 1 of them dies and the other leaves through the hatch leaving 2 Survivors all alone because the Killer closed the hatch and started EGC wouldn't that be a good thing that they don't need to do the Gens anymore.
-
They need to get rid of it, taking away the blood made sense IF they didn't make DW not go down inside your TR. This was to get rid of following the blood so the DW can instadown them but that doesn't work so the strategy doesn't work so the blood not being able to be seen doesn't make any logical sense.
They implemented features to stop players from being able to be toxic towards Survivors and make Legion's power fair but the problem is they went too far and implemented features for problems they already solved, basically giving someone dentures because they don't have teeth but then attach a tube that leads directly to their stomach so they don't have to chew. ''But doctor I don't need the tube, I can eat my food normally now'' and then the doctor says ''but now you don't have to'' and the doctor smiles and writes into his notes that the patient was extremely hostile and may need anti-psychotics.
-
But wouldn't it be beneficial to the 2 remaining Survivors that they don't have to do Gens anymore because the EGC started? They can attempt to open the Exit instead which in some cases is much harder but it's the last step in the game towards freedom. Then if one of them dies the Hatch opens again giving the other a second chance.

I dont mind less ambush addons.
Her traps are far from useless. Though I think they need a bit more lethality. Maybe, after certain period of time, the trap timer starts ticking regardless of gen progress?
I guess useless was a bit of an overstatement, very few of her add-ons are actually worth using but things that make more skill checks just help Survivors take it off faster, at least when I'm a Survivor anyway. The status effect add-ons are probably the best of all the Killers since they are permanent until the mask is taken off though, but things like increased regression penalty is just laughable and anyone who dies because of that add-on is a low rank.
Some stats do need to be changed like the bear trap timer and make Huntress Lullaby work on boxes but I think that can come after the add-ons or even with it.
-
I voted for Rules #2 and add-on changes because in my opinion Pig needs more add-ons for her Ambush and crouch rather than her traps. Most of Pig's add-ons are worthless because of how the traps work and how easy they are to take off. Then you got Ghostface twerking in the distance with his superior crouch speed and laughing, Pig needs to move faster when she is crouched and since she is one of the few killers who are not add-on dependent she can sacrifice one slot for faster movement speed while crouched. This will also allow Pig players the ability to play her the way they want, I enjoy being a sneaky piggy but others might enjoy a more trap based piggy; better add-ons can do this.

Premonition will get respect too. people always called it a lesser spine chill
When I first started playing Survivor, Premonition was my favorite perk and since I was playing Nea with Urban, I was basically a white Claudette. I don't run it anymore as I feel knowing the Killer is looking at you is more valuable than knowing JUST where they are. Premonition fills the gap that Spine Chill has with where the Killer is but sometimes you can know the Killer is nearby but they aren't necessarily going to smack you off that Gen. But I don't run either perk anymore, being sneaky is fun but as a Survivor I enjoy the chase more than being sneaky.

After 3.3.0 (the current PTB) it won't work on Killer who get Undetectable with their powers, like the Demogorgon, Pig, Ghostface, Wraith and Myers(?)
With the Pig, Ghostface and Wraith it's when they use their powers (Pig and Ghostface's crouch and Ghostface's Night Shroud I believe, and when the Wraith uses the Wailing Bell)
With the Demogorgon it's when it comes out of a Portal. I know Myers is affected, but I don't remember how.
Spine Chill won't work either? Damn, stealth killers are finally getting some respect after 3 years.

I will probably on high alert waiting for people who want a room and then complain about that room later(I work at a motel), maybe I'll I'll watch a movie but I'll probably be playing DBD lol Halloween is my favorite holiday but I haven't been in the mood to celebrate it for quite some time.
