Yes, as killers could now tunnel key wielders out of the game much easier (and justifiably so). Either that or seriously reduce the BP cost of keys, and change the fact that the purple key is no basically worse than the green.
-
Maybe if it built up like devour it could work, but a movement boost right off the bat would be shockingly broken on many killers imo
-
Oni and Hag, although the latter is mostly because the counter play to hag requires a level of coordination that solo players just dont have
-
you have to buy the game to play and you cant win unless you play, so they are correct, game is indeed pay to win. But also pay to lose.

I can get onboard with that,
It should kill the killer too tbf

Hate to say it but lightborn and learning to evade them are your options.
I run lightborn a lot but that's because I'm lazy and I play Myers mostly so staring at someone for half a bar of stalk while they stand there trying to blind you is great.
breaking a pallet with lightborn, 99 T3 and a tombstone piece whilst they try to blind you is also great

Just be respectful to your fellow DBD player Guys, It's only a game if the game doesn't go your way or you get tunneled, camped whatever you can vent your frustrations in a respectable manner. For the love of god wishing harm or death on anyone is absolutely disgusting behavior. Hold people accountable for actions yes but in a humane way. Rant over just wanted to share an experience I had last night. Take Care everyone and be safe.
I mean, I hope we all pass away slowly, over the course of 80 long, healthy years <3
-
The main problem with Freddy is that he is just boring. His dream pallets are pretty fun but outclassed massively by snares. I dont think it would break him to have both personally.
and agree that his addons are now total #########. Better than forever freddy, sure, but theyve gone from boring and broken (somehow managing to be both) to completely useless. These need a serious overhaul.
-
No one escapes death is also a lie, survivors should just die when they try to escape.
No one left behind is also a lie, if you try to leave whilst a survivor is hooked and you have the perk, you should get banned.
Sole survivor is a lie, if you have the perk, when you are sacrificed it should take another survivor in your place.
-
Depends how people define easy I guess
Is she easy to consistently 4k with? Yes, much more so than lets say, Myers or trapper.
Is she easy to pick up and learn. God no.
When people say she's easy, I assume they mean the former. They're not wrong, but neither are you.
-
Bring back slingers quick fire, but the quicker you fire, the less accurate it is, so it at least feels less horrid to play
-
Twins. Is this even a contest?
-
buff predator to make survivors footsteps louder and it can be the new stridor for spirit

I'm still baffled that they designed a killer who could literally run out of their power...
Taking that stupid limitation off alone would do wonders to his awful base kit
That and his 105 movement speed at the most crucial part of the game. Stalking a survivor should make the evil within replenish in the others, stalking is no longer affected by distance so you don't have to get right in their face as a 105 killer (but maybe add a maximum range) and increase t1 movement speed to 110.
And even then, he'd still be low tier. But its a good place to start.

shelter woods, how depressing

The Impersonator concept works better if they can become different killers with use of their powers almost like Tsang Tsung from mortal kombat as survivors with communication can easily ruin the concept
god, can you imagine GF stealth then change to bubba
-
@Mandy said:
This idea has come up a few times. I can't see how it could work as SWF could easily see that it's not an actual survivor.
It wouldnt work for killers, but a survivor perk that let you and another survivor swap appearances would a neat anti tunnel perk
-
Lethal pursuer and Windows of Opportunity.
-
the video literally started with them skipping the first 2 games because they went terribly lol
-
if it results in kills then it is a skilled play remember
-
twins, hag, bubba and blight would be my top picks, what horrible matches these always result in.
-
Yes and no. Its great to see so many options, but it seems to continue driving the game in a direction where slowdown perks are a necessity on many killers, which in turn limits the potential to be creative with other perks, rather than addressing the base issues.
Id rather see a nerf across the board for slow down perks and a buff to the base kit that would bring them roughly in line with how they are now when combined but reduce dependence on them. Kinda like how they nerfed ghostface cooldown reduction addons but reduced his overall cooldown to make it so its the same experience with them, but better without.

When you use OoO and Blood Pact, when someone gets hurt they see your aura and since your aura is being revealed you get to see Killer's aura nonstop, similar to old OoO (dont know if the Killer sees yours).
Dont know about the crash.
i assume it was the same with blood pact aura reveal. wonder why it didnt occur if somebody was using bond/empathy etc?

One of BHVR's "Pretty good job so far" I remember that game she got hooked and somehow the model got disjointed and as she got carried she was floating a few meters away from the killer and it continued on the hook.
in light of more recent dev comments, relating to hockey and player skill, I cant help but think we were all a bit hard on Mathieu Cote for his "Pretty good job so far" remark.

@sizzlingmario4 said:
Cool now we don’t have to deal with this anymore.
For those unaware, the perk caused a crash with Empathic Connection and also had an exploit with Blood Pact.
I had seen this, but didn't want to ask for more details until it had been resolved; now that its been disabled, can you elaborate on what triggered the issues?
-
slinger has pretty much nothing going for him any more. no map pressure, no lethality, no stealth and he feels horrible to play.
I genuinely think he should be 115% movement speed. Pyramid head has less range, but can hit through walls and actually down people without having to reel them in, and he has 115%. No reason for slinger to be 110 now they've neutered him.
-
facecamping bubba is a skilled play

I don't think putting a distance requirement would be valid, as she only has 1 hatchet after the nerf and would be horrible to play with this addon. But what I expected when she was nerfed is a change in her base kit , regardless of the addon used, wich put a timer when she holds the hatchet before releasing (she should have a maximum time to hold the hatchet and, after that time, she automatically throws the hatchet if not canceling it before)
they should never have nerfed the hatchet amount and done something more fun with the addon altogether. a distance requirement or the ability to pass through objects would have been much more interesting than what is basically an easier pinky finger now.
-
not much, but 0k would increase dramatically. NOED is used by killers who are used to failing to not fail as much, rather than used to win
-
Agreed. I used sabo like twice and then realised id be better off with a brown toolbox. These are QOL changes that make it a viable perk but wont make it meta.
Another option would be to make it increase sabo speed with toolboxes/ toolbox efficiency, similar to selfcare with med kits. That way, at least you could use it to compliment your toolbox instead of be completely replaced by it.
-
Lets be real, without a complete rework, DH will either remain how it is and be used by 50% of survivors, or it'll get even a minor nerf and be pretty much useless and everybody will take SB. In its current form, there's just no middle ground that makes it anywhere near as useful as SB.
And if we go down the latter route, we'll be back where we started, when people start 99% their sprint bursts as the norm and everybody will want that nerfed too.
-
The devs are biased toward the status quo. It would be an odd state of affairs if they were not though really.
-
I'm far too disorganised to keep track of who is console and who is pc.

Wait ######### I forgot to make a wish uhhh
I wish that we had accurate and natural representation in DBD
Granted, but accurate and natural representation of the Alt Right.
I Wish there was a multiple killers mode.

It's okay happens to the best of us
(out of curiosity were you the guy on Reddit I gave Pyramid Head advice to way back when or am I confusing you with someone else bc I stg it's you)
I don't think so, but my memory is awful and I did play PH for awhile so i guess its possible

No because Saloon is also dogwater and most reworked maps are awful terrible to play now so my faith in them isn't great
OK fine, I was wrong :(

Probably when Realm Beyond is finished. Or for Anniversary. We're basically guaranteed one then.
But if the maps we get are Midwich, RPD, and Eyerie I don't want em anymore.
Eyerie aside, I think that's a problem to do with licenced maps more than anything. I assume they prioritise making them thematic over gameplay. Every licenced map has been a total car crash in terms of balance and enjoyability that I can think of.
That said, Midwich has grown on me, and RPD is RPD, so i can't help but love it even whilst i hate it.

Ever played against pyramid head before? You know, the guy that can hit you through walls, better tracking ability and longer range?
Nemesis is just Pyramid Head from Wish.com

Probably haddonfield, because its just a toxic survivor cliche at this point. In terms of actual maps, id say shelter woods. What a miserable map.
-
maybe swap the purple and green med kits, odd that the green is the better of the two.
-
I hear if you collect clowns vhs porn, pigs Video tape and Onryos Video tapes you can open a charity shop on the corner of Haddonfield

I don't even main survivor, I just don't run NOED on killer because I'd quite frankly not be carried in end game because I sucked during the rest of it. I;ve always maintained that NOED is the perk exclusively of bad killers. Stream a couple of matches for us and prove me wrong, I'm man enough to admit to my mistakes if I am.

I love how triggered you are that NoED is a balanced perk. To the point that people saying straight facts are 'triggered' because you need to feel like you're 'winning' the argument.
Desperately trying to argue NoED is OP because you're too lazy to do bones and want to genrush and t-bag out the exit gates with your 16 second chance perks while in a 4-man SWF on voice comms.
Sorry, cupcake; me spitting facts to the lies does not make me 'triggered' so you can pat yourself on the back. Keep reaching. 😘
I see you didnt even read or take in anything I said. I expect because youre still angry over getting stomped by a swf. I would love to watch you stream sometime, I bet that would be a blast.

Once more, absolutely none of the PTB feedback was acted on.
Boil Over is now the next hot troll perk - still completely useless for anyone looking to play Dead By Daylight normally, but can be abused in several maps, especially with oak offerings, to basically replicate the old Breakdown bug and create self-pickup slugfests in unhookable areas. Such zones include RCPD library, Eyrie of Crows, Dead Dawg Saloon (potentially), Thompson House, and god knows what mischief will unfold on Haddonfield because that was disabled in the PTB. Again, I want to stress that this perk isn't good, and can't even be used on most maps - it's 100% going to be troll bait.
Dead Man's Switch can be effortlessly camped by Artist, which lets her facecamp someone to death and prevent gens from getting any progress, or force a hook trade in which she blocks the gens again. Doctor and Freddy also have the potentials to be game-stalling monsters with this, but Artist is the main problem case.
Gearhead's aura is harder to see than the old version of the perk even if the trigger conditions are better.
Buckle Up and Furtive Chase are still 100% useless. Wake Up and Distortion are still 90% useless.
And unsurprisingly, none of the addon nerfs were reverted. Mikhail's Eye needed to be 35% instead of 50% zombie movement speed because Twins are monsters at high MMR.
Why do we even have a PTB if absolutely none of the feedback is taken into account? You might as well just release everything to live immediately and then patch it in three months if something's busted, because that's what happens anyway.
I Believe (although could be mistaken) that the PTB is to test for bugs and performance issues rather than balance issues. So it will hopefully be revisited in future if its problematic
