Lullabies are directional and tr is not
What? The TR changes depending on how far the killer is from you. The lullaby does not.
-
Lullabies are non-directional. Huntress has a 45m lullaby but when you're inside it you can't tell if she's 45m from you or just 21.
Trickster is a weird case. Imo he shouldn't have a lullaby, but the one that he has is super subtle. When I'm playing survivor I've been caught by surprise several times because his TR is super confusing.
-
Dead Dawg consistently spawns gens pretty close to each other (not this close but very close). I find it stupid that the killer can just stand on top of the gallows area and patrol 3~4 gens. If it's a Huntress or a Nurse they can just stay up there with their powers charged up and it's borderline impossible to do a gen.
-
You're trying to maintain perk variety for survivor while limiting it for killer?
I'd say make at least one chest to have a guaranteed spawn of a map with the addon that tracks totems, because totems on maps like Midwich or Dead Dawg are ROUGH to find.
-
Go to horny jail
-
You mispelled Claudette.
-
My favorite build is BBQ, Save the Best for Last, Nurse's Calling and Corrupt Intervention.
BBQ tracking is nice but not that good on a killer with no mobility. I use it mostly for points, feel free to swap it for Monitor and Abuse, Sloppy Butcher or Surge which synergyze better with his power.
Save the Best for Last is insane on Deathslinger. Hitting speared survivors count as a M1 to gain stacks, and you can break the chain on the obsession to injure without losing stacks. If you have 8 stacks and reload addons you can almost instadown a survivor with how fast you can M1 + shot or shot + shot.
Nurse's Calling is also another one that synergyzes very well with his power. He has a 24m TR that has a very slow build up, so you can easily get a sneaky shot on survivors who think they are safe while healing with the 28m range.
Corrupt Intervention is almost a necessity to deal with bad map design and bad spawns while not losing gens before you're even able to traverse the map. You can use Pop or Ruin instead but good luck if you spawn on Mother's Dwelling.
-
What exactly changed on the map? If anything it's a bit stronger for survivors because they changed those rock loops that the killer could mindgame for super long hay loops that have to be brute forced because the survivor can see killer.
-
What? Why would they change that?
Instead of making more good loops for survivors near those gallows they went and made an already strong building even stronger? Now there's even less reason for killers to go inside the saloon, everyone will now just 3 gen those gallows...
-
Just played a Pyramid Head game, probably the worst killer after 5.1.0 update, and he actually felt better. My game wasn't dropping to the single digits whenever using his power which is something. I still froze whenever someone used Dead Hard though.
I can't play anymore now, but will test Oni, Plague and Bubba later.

As far as I know, the word "assassin" was loaned from Arabic where it was a name of a sect called "hashashin" or something like this. So before that sect Portuguese didn't have a word for murderers?
Well, we actually have "matador", but that's for a certain type of bounty hunter killer. "Homicida" is another one, but that's too specific.
-
@Junylar said:
It's funny how he calls killers "assassins". Are stealth killers called "Silent Assassins" over there? I wonder if "Devout" emblem is called "Assassin's Creed" there too.
Here on Brazil (I'm assuming he's from here due to Portuguese) we don't have specific words to separate killers, murderers or assassins. We basically call everyone "assassinos".
-
How does PWYF work with Blighted Crow and Rat? Because those two are multiplicative with Blight's speed during a Rush, so the 15% is applied to each resultant Rush speed or does it enter the calculation as well?

Because it's something we've already addressed as an issue, the "known issues" section are known issues specific with this patch not with things in general.

It's a minor update and the "known issues" part pertains to this update, not the game as a whole. The "Known issues" section has always pertained to whatever update it's a part of, so I'm not sure why you suddenly seem to believe that it pertains to the game as a whole.
Okay, then, my bad. I think I'm just disappointed and got agitated as I was looking forward for today's update.

Yeah or just play with crossplay off for more fair experience I guess.
Crossplay off lobbies on PSN take half an hour and consist of the same 5 SWFs and 5 killers on my region. I'd rather find another fun game.
-
They didn't even MENTION last gen consoles on this patch. There are tons of posts regarding how killer powers with charge bars are lagging constantly, and they didn't even mention it on the "Known Issues" part.
Like, seriously, just drop the support for last gen already.

There's a patch planned for tomorrow. Fingers crossed for having something related to last gen.
I'm just stupid. Don't know why do I still have hope for this game. I think it's time to move on.

I don't. I slug everyone.

Terrible examples for what you were trying to say, mostly because pretty much every killer requires mechanical skill and precise timing. You need to know as Legion if you can make it to the next person with your frenzy, or if you don't have time to get to them. You need to place snares immediately as Freddy so you don't get slowed down. You need to tap stalk in just the right way at just the right position, or the survivor gets to the pallet/window and you waste half your lvl 3 trying to get them. Hag needs to tp immediately to her traps. And that's not even talking about regular chases which, it goes without saying, require precision and mechanical skill.
OP is bothered by killers that can be dodged by survivors moving "erratically". I gave examples of killers who don't need to deal with that. The knowledge you need to play those killers is more focused on pathing and strategy than actual mechanical skill.

Hey guys, are there any more performance updates planned for last gen? I didn't play for two weeks.
Game is a little bit better but still not good enough like pre re from what I have seen.
Any news while I was absent?
There's a patch planned for tomorrow. Fingers crossed for having something related to last gen.
-
Then don't play these killers? We have tons of killers who don't need mechanical skill or precise timing. Legion, Freddy, Myers, Ghostface, Trapper, Hag and Wraith are some that come to mind.
-
Yes, I don't think fully balancing the game is possible right now with the current basically non-existent matchmaking. Consistent matches are necessary for this.
When people say "I don't want to sweat every match" they don't really understand how MMR works. If you don't sweat every match, your MMR will eventually go down and you'll also be matched with people who don't sweat. If someone wants to play Blight or Nurse with 3 slowdown perks, then you can't really expect to go against casual teams. Especially the ones that complain about "tryhards" should be wanting MMR.

Giving criticism is bashing now interesting logic.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2415194#Comment_2415194
This makes no sense someone gives a different opinion than yours so that makes their mentality bad what is this dissolving into these sneak comments are weird.
You're not giving constructive criticism. You're literally telling them to "just give it up" which is DESTRUCTIVE criticism, which doesn't help anyone.
Imagine if you're trying to make a project that takes tons of work and successive failures to achieve, and then someone just comes and says "lol just give it up dude". Would that be helpful at all? Jeez.
-
Since I started playing this game I've seen people complaining left and right how matchmaking is terrible. Now the devs are finally doing something about it and you guys are "meeeeeh, we don't want it".
You know there's something called trial and error, right? We've never seen MMR working as they intended to do yet, so why are you bashing it?
-
I just checked on PS store and prices are the same for me. Probably a bug.
-
They are pretty fun to play as imo. There's something special about stabbing people 28 times, and outplaying with just basic M1 gameplay is satisfying.
They are also a very good killer on the 1v4. I never feel "genrushed" when playing as Legion because I can always keep track of the entire team via Killer Instinct, and with this same ability it's also easy to abuse of weak links because they'll never be able to hide from them.
And as people said above, who doesn't love edgy teens?
Edit: there's also the build variety. With some killers I always feel locked on a lot of perks, but with Legion for some reason it's quite easy to experiment with new builds.
-
I don't even like FNAF but it's going to be so funny if it's really him lmao.

It has to be!
(idk who the artist is, sorry)
Sure grandpa, let's take you to bed.
-
Yes, they are horrible. Relics from when Legion was able to reliable down people in Frenzy. The worst thing is that when the devs reduced the Deep Wound timer from 30 to 20 secs they nerfed these addons as well.
-
This one is more useful with the hook counters and portraits. I don't really want the old one back.
-
Faced this build two times in the same day on Midwich.
Nothing really you can do. A good Nurse is gg, especially if you're solo queue and can't coordinate where teammates go down and staying separated. But supposedly Nurse's fine because she takes like 2 days of learning and people think she's the hardest thing you can learn on your life.
-
All Kill. Useless killer on console, Yun Jin has a super obnoxious voice and not even a map rework during the release. The only cool thing were the perks.
-
Both are very fun and rewarding, but Oni is easier to get the hang of (and I personally find his power more fun to use as well).
-
I feel there will never be a point where Blight is 100% fixed. If you make him collide too easily he's going to be unplayable on indoor maps. And as someone said above, knowing which places you can slide of can give you some nasty hits, especially on shack and Autohaven/Badham cars
-
They are clearly not considering killer's powers when designing the latest maps.
-
I feel it depends a lot on the map. On huge maps like Red Forest and Shelter Woods I'd say Blight prevails, but on some realms like the indoor ones, Badham, Haddonfield, Ormond, Swamp or Yamaoka, Spirit is still better due to how horrible Blight performs on those.
One thing that Blight has going for him are his addons. Spirit has some nasty ones but Blight takes it to a whole another level. Seriously, how the combo Alchemist Ring+Compound 33/Speed addons hasn't been touched at all yet is beyond me. With this combo I'd say he can be stronger than Nurse on some maps. Hillbilly got nerfed into the ground for less.

+1, i think in the next few weeks Kate's outfit should hit the store. I really want it since i only played the first rift and got bored of dbd for like a year xD
Me too, her Rift was the only one I wasn't able to complete and I really want the hair :(
-
Ghostface, Wraith, Blight, Trapper (except with basement build), Oni, Pyramid, Deathslinger.
Tbh the only killer I dislike going against is Pig.
-
It used to be Billy before the nerf. Nowadays I'd say either Oni, Bubba, Nurse or Iri Tag Blight.
-
Considering how all survivors are covered in dirty, I doubt any of them smells nice. That's not even mentioning the killers.
-
I never understood the hate for Swamp. Grim Pantry's main building is annoying but there are worse, and Pale Rose is a fairly balanced map imo.

I am confused now. So you think they have to nerf coldwind farm because of high escape rate? 45-35% escape rate is high? In my Book of Ballancing, this is highly favourable for the killer. You are not telling us that killer should have a higher killrate then 50%, do you?
Can you pinpoint where I SAID that Coldwind should be nerfed? I never put my personal opinion on my comment. I said that if the devs were to take purely driven data to make decisions, Coldwind wouldn't be buffed (or nerfed) before, let's say, Shelter Woods.
Jeez, incredible annoying how people on this forum must turn every post into us vs them.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
We can only speculate, because they aren't forthcoming about map balance decisions. They really don't talk about it all except in the most general terms possible.
My guess would be that it's purely data driven. The Game had a very high kill rate and got buffed. It certainly didn't need that, as every pallet on the map was already completely safe. I don't think these are mechanically driven decisions. Kill rates happen for a variety of reasons, especially in solo queue. And it often has nothing to do with how safe tiles are.
I personally think they just changed these for the sake of visuals, because a bunch of hay looks prettier on a farm than rock loops. If it was purely data driven they'd have to nerf Coldwind a ton, because before the rework these maps had some of the highest escape rates in the game (sorry for crappy image):

The Obsession switching as part of Conundrum is meant to discourage Tunnelling straight out the gate.
Doesn't it switch to the unhooked person though? It basically encourages the killer to go for the person he just downed.
-
Hex: Connipition on Deathslinger would be nuts. 10 stacks of STBFL right off the bat is insane.
Hex: Calamity on stealth killers running hexes would be golden.
Hex: Conundrum is a bit worrisome as it encourages tunneling.
The Witch seems cool but I'm kind of worried how she would work with Undying + Devour Hope. Getting to 3 stacks of DH isn't that hard anymore with Undying, and survivors also having to cleanse a whole altar before being able to cleanse Undying would be too much imo.
-
They probably want to give him more traps as basekit, but they simply are super slow in doing changes. Just look how many years it took for Wraith to finally be a threat, or for Iri Head to not stack with extra hatchets, for DS to be a balanced perk, you got it.
-
I was pretty disappointed to see they were focusing more on graphics instead of delivering the promised optimization, especially for last gen consoles. After the RE patch you could clearly see this game was not ready yet for a graphic overhaul.
-
Super agressive Wraith:
Enduring, Spirit Fury, Bambozlee, Brutal Strenght. Use Shadow Dance + Serpent. It's amazing how fast you can down people with this.
-
I never see Plague and Demogorgon. There's even the occasional Hag once a week, but these two I can count on two hands how many I've faced.
