  • It's a bug.

Legion still moves at 4.6 (or 115% movement speed) while in Frenzy. He's supposed to move at 5.2 (or 130%).

  • No, Legion's is still worse. From a technical standpoint this may be the worst. But... Old Legion nearly killed this game. It's pretty hard to beat that.

'technically can not exist throughout the entire match'

What are you even arguing here!? You think that because of a technicality that somehow it disregards my point?? This just looks like your arguing for arguing's sake. BBQ is not comparative to Adrenaline, I explained why, my post still stands. lol.

'Just assume, run something to counter it'

Great so generic counter posts now? Seriously were at a stage where if you want to counter everything, and you have to assume everything this game has, it becomes a job with spreadsheets.

Every comment about campers, tunnelers, sluggers we get a generic 'wElL jUsT cOuNtEr iT. It's almost like to want to overwhelm a new player before they even have a chance to get started. Besides I wasn't even arguing the 'just counter it'. My point is that it was OP, so again, your not really arguing my points.

    https://dennisreep.nl/dbd/perks/killer/

I'm reluctant to post that link because for a long time BBQ was classified as S rank. Unfortunately brigading has dropped it to an A rank just to 'own' me. But the point to take home is that its a tiered list of good through to bad perks. It's far more comprehensive than your '2 function' policy.

We can't really argue with your points because you're not really making any.

"You have to assume the killer has it" Um... yeah? That's literally 1/2 the game—figuring out what perks the other side has. The killer has to infer what each survivor runs to, deciphering who has BT, Dead Hard, DS, etc. Likewise, it's your responsibility as a survivor to figure out what the killer is running, even if it may not be apparently obvious.

And if you dare say, "The survivors have no warning it exists!" Yeah, no duh. Same with Discordance, Nurse's, Whispers, Spies, etc. No warning. You figure it out and continue from there.

You need to actually make legitimate points in order for someone to develop a counter arguement.

And yeah, BBQ is an S-tier perk. That's because not only is its functionality useful, it also doubles your blood points. It's a useful perk with an invaluable secondary effect. Of course it's an S-tier perk for public matches!

    LOL.

If you're worried about it you'd crawl into an open area to be found easily. That's not even an argument.

EDIT: You get crows when you afk on the ground if I'm not mistaken, which makes your statement even funnier.

Well, I see you're great at discussions.

So tell me. Give me 1 good, legitmate arguement why BBQ—agruably one of the most balanced perks in the game—should be nerfed. How does its current state affect the game's health in such a negative way that warrants nerfing it, and conversely, how would nerfing it benefit the game? Do tell.

Personally? I can name a lot of ways it would negatively impact the game for survivors and killers if such a nerf were to occur.

  • It's one of the most killer sided maps in the game... that's not me making assumptions, there are actual statistics to back this up.

That said, winning on that map means forcing a 3 gen, meaning committing to only 1 side, which is one of the most boring experiences one could ask for.

  • He's... in an odd place.

In terms of balance, he's fine. He has extremely good 1v1, but like Clown, he suffers from low map pressure.

In terms of fun, he's really oppressive so survivors don't enjoy him.

Add an ADS window or something, and he's just a worse Huntress. The devs don't want to make him 4.6m, so that's out of the question. He's an annoying killer, but in terms of balance, he's fine.

  • Dull key - Only one person can escape

Skeleton - allows multiple survivors to escape

Both - opening the hatch now has an animation that must be completed that also gives a loud noise notification to the killer

  • Oh boy, here we go. ahem

Trapper - add-on pass with some QoL changes

    Wraith - Buff

Billy - Fine as is. I'd prefer the overheat was gone, but that'll never happen.

    Nurse - Bug Fixes

Myers - Buff with add-on pass (ffs, nerf Tombstone Piece!)

Hag - Mostly fine, maybe tweak a few worthless add-ons

    Doc - fine

    Huntress - Add-on pass

    Bubba - Fine

Freddy - Nerf and add-on pass (for how powerful he is, he should not be this easy to play; his add-ons are also pretty bad)

Pig - Buff! (idc what those killrates say)

Clown - he's already getting reworked, so... next

Spirit - Tweaks (I don't think she's OP; she just needs to be more transparent somehow. Reintroducing the sound bug as a feature would do nicely)

Legion - Buff and add-on pass

Adiris - Mostly okay, but I think survivors should have more of an incentive to cleanse

Ghosty - Add-on pass/tweaks (nerf recovery add-ons, make the base recovery better, and make his other add-ons... not terrible)

Demo - buff and add-on pass

    Oni - Fine

    Deathslinger - Fine

    Pyramid Head - Fine

Blight - Probably the most balanced killer in the game atm.

I like BBQ as a killer, it's a great perk, it tracks survivors and brings a huge BP bonus. Partially merging it with Deerstalker and letting us see survivors that are downed seems cheesy and unnecessary.

The purpose of BBQ is to motivate the killer from camping and tunneling and go after another survivor, it shouldn't help hooking downed survivors. Besides we have Deerstalker for that and BBQ makes it useless in many situations.

    Um... no?

I'm sorry, but you've given no arguement or justification. The only thing you've said is that it's "partially merged with Deerstalker" which is blatantly false.

It just shows whoever is 40+m away from the hook. That's it. What else? Should Nurse's not reveal people in the dying state either?

    "But they're healing! That's different!"

And you need a hook to trigger BBQ, so it's the same. Deerstalker is a passive with no condition. They share literally nothing except being aura reveal perks.

And let's think for a moment, how would this change be good? Killers aren't going to suddenly start using Deerstalker. If there are 2 survivors, one getting hooked and one in the dying state, then this change will do nothing but drag out the game because the killer doesn't ######### their slug went. And Entity save you if the killer finds that hatch first, then the slug and killer have to either find one another or wait out the bleed out timer. It's boring and tedious.

This change doesn't benefit either killer nor survivor, really.

That'd be cool but I think it'd have problems with copyright. Ghostface in DBD is the actual costume that existed before Scream. The voice is part of the Scream movies.

Um, what? Yeah, i know about this being the costume and not the Scream films, but literally nothing is stopping them from making lines of their own. I know this will likely never happen, but it's not because of anything copyright related as long as they don't take anything from the films.

  • Allow me to tell you have to verse a Pyramid Head.

Pre-drop pallets and run. That's it. He has no mobility, so he has to catch up to you like every other killer. If he's too close, then try to bait a ranged attack so you can use the time he's on cooldown to reach another tile. He is an absolute chasing monster because his kit is pretty much designed to always get a hit if you try to loop him normally.

And I'm sorry, but the way this is worded sounds really entitled. The reason you gave was, "I realized I never had an easy time against a Pyramid Head." That just sounds like, "My usual tricks don't work, so the killer is busted." No, the counterplay is a bit different from normal killers. If you're up against a decent Pyramid Head and try to loop him normally, he's going to down you very fast.

  • Dying Light is... it's a very, very, very bad perk.

Okay, so there are 4 survivors. 1 is the Obsession who is immune and who you want to ignore. 1 survivor will be chased by you. That leaves two survivors being affected by this perk at most.

Kill the Obsession? The perk is gone. it's not like STBFL where you just stop getting tokens. No, the perk just shuts off completely.

Alright, so it only affects 2 and goes if the Obsession goes. Surely its percentages are great, right? Wrong. Lemme share how each token affect gen speeds (rounded to the nearest 1).

    0 - 80

    1 - 83

    2 - 85

    3 - 88

    4 - 91

    5 - 94

    6 - 98

    7 - 101

The slowdown doesn't even become decent until around 4-5 tokens. By that point, you're already winning. You don't even need the slowdown! Just run Thana or somehing.

Speaking of which, some people might go, "combo it with Thana!" Fortunately, I've done the math on this one too. (this is assuming Thana is at max stacks 'cause you're Legion or something)

    0 stacks - 100

    1 Stack - 103

    2 stacks - 106

    3 stacks - 109

    4 stacks - 114

    5 stacks - 118

    6 stacks - 122

Sure, it'll add up eventually. But this assumes you can keep people injured, which only 2 killers can do reliably: Plague and Legion since you don't heal against them. Even then, the slowdown doesn't become worth a damn until around 4-5 stacks, which again, means you're already winning. You don't need it.

There's also the buff to the Obsession, giving them a free Botany Knowledge that they know from the start. This perk at the start of the game actively harms you.

There's a very good reason this perk is typically only ran on Legion, who can use the buff to the Obsession to his advantage because, hey, if they heal, that's time off gens that you can undo in seconds. Maybe a Forever Freddy despite the Forever build not being nearly as powerful as it was when Freddy was just reworked.

It's a terrible perk. Just don't run it. It deprives you of info (if the survivors have DS and such), harms your early game, gives a minor debuff to survivors, barely affects survivors with said debuff, and can be gone in an instant.

Just run Thana. You'll have mostly 2 stacks for 10% debuff on gens (increasing it to 89 secs) but that's far more reliable, easier to obtain, and affects everyone.

    Worth pointing out two things:

    1) We have precedent of a non-Hex perk being turned into a Hex perk (No One Escapes Death), so it wouldn't be out there to do the reverse.

    2) We have at least one Killer with a perk that does little unless you combine it with another Hex perk (Deathslinger with Hex: Retribution).

Fair points, but IIRC, my reasoning was what one of the devs (McLean) implied during one of his streams.

  • This perk is a hex. There is no changing that; the devs want something that synergizes with Undying since both are Blight's base perks. Despite this, it's balanced as it it was an ordinary perk.

    1. Remove the cooldown. It is a hex perk. It does not need a cooldown; just have the duration of the perk be the "cooldown".
    2. Increase the range to at least 24m.
  • Everyone. Literally everyone.

Iri-heads is one of the few things that both Killers and Survivors agree is absolutely busted and needs to be nerfed ASAP.

  • I like to play Legion. I'm decent with Spirit, and if I put more effort into it, I could probably do great with her—but i prefer Legion.

For starters, one of the things that infuriates me about DBD is that the game can quickly turn into hide and go seek. It's very frustrating to go up against if you're not running a perk like Whispers. With Legion though? Sure, you need to find one on your own but then you can find the rest in moments thanks to Killer Instinct. Once they're injured they're noisy unless they have Iron Will, and leave blood everywhere (which makes Bloodhound great on him).

Another is that because Frenzy guarantees a first hit, you essentially have permanent Exposed on all survivors. Honestly, that's great since it means I only need to outplay/mind game a survivor once to get a down, making chases feel so much better. Plus, one of the reasons I love using Thana on Legion is that I get a sorta "feels good man" sensation knowing every survivor I injure is helping me with the rest of the survivors as well (despite knowing the numbers aren't that great)

For reasons I cannot describe, there is just something fun about stabbing a survivor over and over again. I don't do it too much without some strategic reason (after all, I don't want to ruin their experience by making the game M1 simulator) but there's just something i enjoy about it.

Legion's a very basic killer. While this is dull to many, I find this to also be a blessing. Getting good in chase as Legion means I'm improving my chases as Trapper, Piggy, and all other M1 killers. It also means that there is a lot of flexibility in what perk loadout I can use because—again—Legion is a rather simple and basic killer.

Oh, and Julie's thicc and Susie's adorable. Am I missing anything?

    Alight, I've got an idea.

    1. Timer is 60 seconds (read the rest).
    2. The timer never pauses.
    3. Doing any channeled interaction besides mending makes the timer go 600% faster (10 second bleedout.)
    4. Skillchecks appear and can be done both good and great, failing a skill check shortens the deepwond timer by 25%.
    5. Minding time is 16 seconds, regardless of who does it, they will face 4 garneted skillchecks, increasing in difficulty per successful one completed (ranging from a typical generator check to overcharged unnerving.)
    6. Failing a skillcheck has the next skillcheck be the same difficulty as the the previous one that wasn't failed(You can technically fail 3 out 4 checks to have an easy last one, though this notifies the killer and you'll have 15 seconds until bleedout.)

i like your thinking, but not the best idea.

    1. Extending an already generous timer isn't the best idea (yes, I read the rest; I'll disect those too)
    2. No. A Legion could inflict DW, Frenzy stab you, then double stab with Frank's and you'll go down pretty fast. Not Old Legion fast, but still frustratingly fast.
    3. Having the timer accelerate depending on the action the survivor is doing is a nifty idea, ngl.
    4. On behalf of those that have faced impossible skillcheck Doc, I humbly request not to do this.
    5. If there's one thing I understand people not liking about Legion, it's the M1-holding. With add-ons, he can extend that to 20 secs and Slinger to 21 secs. If it was just solo-mends I'd understand, but not altruistic ones—they're faster for a reason.
    6. I... don't understand this. Skillchecks don't have varying degrees of difficulty unless using certain perks (Unnerving Presence, Lullaby, This Is Not Happening, etc).
  • @Friendly_Blendette said:

So let me start by saying I play mobile, so I understand my expirence with certain mechanics is likely super mega different and behind the console stuff, but anyway. I've been playing this game for a good while. My player level is devotion: 2 lvl26, but I've only just started to play Legion after all this time and I've got to say he's become an instant favorite of mine. and I've seen my fair share of memes poking fun and tier lists putting them super low by this point. I feel theres alot of hate on Legion and im honestly not getting it. I've found them to be mega fun and shenanigans-y. As well as a powerhouse I've been tending to get 4k with. I love slashing at a survivor in frenzy and needlessly hunting stabbing them extra until I miss or my meter runs out. Idk, its been a trip.

So whats up? Whats ur opinion? If not Legion, than who's your least fav? I'm not so partial to Max.T Jr, not cause I think his power sucks, I just suck playing as him. 😕

Legion is a somewhat underrated but weak killer.

Legion is, without question, the best killer when it comes to injuring survivors. At his best, he can injure everyone and have them mending with 0 gen progress being done as he chases 1 survivor.

The problem is... well, he sucks at actually killing survivors.

Frenzy lost its lethality ages ago thanks to the original implementation of Deep Wounds being one of the worst things to have ever graced this game. As such, it only exists as a stall tool. The issue is, it sucks at doing that.

You stab someone and... what? They have a 30 sec timer that pauses when they run. they can finish a gen, open an exit gate, tbag for a bit, and then walk out before the timer runs out. You only stall them for 12 seconds which is laughably short.

But you can apply it to multiple people? True, but there's a problem. Legion is slow. 130% speed is not much. If a survivor is outside a 16m radius and holds W when they see you approaching, you will never catch them. This is partly because Legion's original iteration (which, btw, was faster in Frenzy) was designed to have speed add-ons, but those were reworked into expanding your killer instinct... for some reason.

Let's say you want to force them together for things like unhooks... how? You're a powerless M1 killer once everyone is injured. You have literally NOTHING in the 1v1, and your 1v4 is lackluster.

Despite these flaws? You get a brutal 4 sec cooldown. How bad is that? If the Nurse uses 2 blinks and misses an attack, she gets a 3.5 sec cooldown. Did I mention her power starts recovering during fatigue, unlike Legion who has to wait 24 seconds essentially. Your non-lethal power is punished more than if the goddamn Nurse screws up. And 4 secs you can't stop—Miss an attack? Manually cancel? 4 secs all the same, making it seem as if the game is punishing you for even using your power, which is absurd.

That said, i still love him. There's nothing better than repeatedly stabbing a survivor knowing there's nothing they can do.

  • Honestly? I'm going to say Nurse.

Yes, she has the strongest power in the game. There is no denying that. That said, why bother? Her learning curve is so drastically high that just making her playable is a feat itself. You'll rarely encounter a "God-Nurse" out there, so most of the few Nurses you'll see are either still learning her or are nowhere near good enough to be borderline unbeatable.

But let's say you did do that... why? Why bother subjecting yourself to that when you can just play Spirit or Hag or Freddy or Pyramid Head who are similarly powerful, get similar results, and do it with far less effort needed to actually use them competently. Not to mention, playing them doesn't mean fighting the urge to DC whenever you get Lery's or a Coldwind, and their powers are far less buggy.

Land a hit in a trade? Or land a hit without being under pallet?

Trade relies on the survivor screwing up their timing. That's the survivor making a mistake in timing, not your skill.

Landing a hit without being under a pallet.... that's the problem? You can't reach them before they make it to the pallet and can drop it because of how long certain loops are.

  • Self-Care honestly isn't a bad perk. Thae way he's using it is terrible, but the perk itself is fine.

It is useful when used in emergency scenarios, like it's endgame and you're at a gate but your teammate is hooked. You have BT but you're injured. That's the perfect time to use Self-Care.

Is it better than bringing a medkit? No. Better than Inner Strength? Not really, although at least you won't have to compete for totems in this Ruin-Undying killer meta. It is a terrible perk? No. But when you use it as your go-to means of healing and heal every moment you're safe, then you're pretty much being the 2nd killer.

And for Entity's sake, please, if you're going to use Self-Care, just run Botany. It turns 32 secs to 24. Believe me, it makes all the difference.

Some Brute Force pallets and some Mindgamable (with more an emphasis on mind-gameable (1-3 smallish loops in about 10-ish seconds if you brute force it) being prevalent), is probably a good thing for variety. It also gives Vault/Pallet blocker perks an actual use.

It's the Killer equivalent of holding M1 on a Gen while the Survivor does their stuff.

no, it doesn't give pallet blocker perks use.

There is only one pallet blocking perk in the entire game. That's Blood Favor, that is 1) A hex, 2) has a pitiful range, and 3) requires you to land a hit.

Ideally, it should be possible for a killer to be able to land a hit on tiles if they correctly and vice versa. God Pallets like shack are still strong and you're often better brute forcing, but it is possible to land a hit if you play correctly.

There's a difference between something being the better strategy, and it being the only strategy.

That's the problem I think. The whole "play better" thing. If there's no LOS blocker at a loop there's absolutely nothing the killer can do unless they're playing 1 of a very small handful of specific killers. And removing BL1 will only make these loops even stronger.

With the example I gave, some might say, "just force the pallet drop."

That's true. that is the smart thing to do. However, this misses the point. There is no mind game, outplaying, or anything going on. There's just holding W until the survivor has to drop the pallet. If you get them to hesitate for a second, you're not fast enough to catch up in time. There's no actual gameplay going on, just holding a button until they have to drop a pallet so they go to a jungle gym or shack that you can properly mind game.

Let's compare that to a standard junk loop in MacMillan that similarly has no LoS blockers. These loops are tricky for survivor. If they screw up and fall for a standard "turn camera but go the opposite way" mind game, then it can result in a hit regardless if the pallet is dropped because it's rather short. However, if the survivor reads the killer correctly, then the killer cannot get a hit without BL. This perfectly fine because it's determined by skill.

What I'm saying is that there are maps where BL is unnecessary, but this is not universal enough to warrant the complete removal of BL.

  • I definitely think the game's in a state where T3 and T2 of BL can be removed. However, the same cannot be said for T1. Don't believe me? Play a game of Temple of Purgation. Good luck mind gaming those loops when they can see you the entire time...

  • I won't make any assumptions, but just because DS procs, it doesn't mean you were tunnelled. If you were, say, doing a gen or something, then you were not tunnelled—you were doing your objective, and its the killer's to stop you.

I’ve just been thinking for a little bit and spies from the shadows might be better than whispers I wanna test it out but I just wanna hear from you amazing people

    Not quite.

What makes Whispers great is that it is never wrong. It will never lie to you and is 100% reliable. It might be a bit tricky to understand at first, but once mastered, it is one of—if not the—best info perk in the game.

Spies? Not so much. For one, it's countered by Calm Spirit, but tbf, most don't run that. But what it can do is be very unreliable. How so? Use it on the game. Crows from the upstairs can be startled by survivors downstairs. Plus, the 36m radius means that survivors are either running (in which case, Scratch marks) or are hiding (so no crows being startled).

It lacks Whispers reliability. Not to mention, if you keep an ear/eye out, you shouldn't really need spies. The only killers I'd use it on are killers like Ghost Face (since survivors care a lot less about crows if they're not in immediate danger) or Spirit (it's the only aura perk that isn't blocked while phasing).

  • That's not even remotely comparable.

4% is just that. A 4% chance to escape. You have 0 input on whether or not you'll get it (unless you stack offerings with friends). The chance is so minuscule that people either attempt it because A) they're trying to die. B) there is literally no other option. (Plus, Deliverance but that's not really 4% at that point)

Bloodlust is a mechanic that the killer can abuse just by not kicking a pallet and staying in chase.

Whether you think one/both should be removed is irrelevant. They're not really comparable to each other.

If you're like 99.75% of dbd players, then you probably only play pubs, obviously because its a casual video game, it makes sense. We all know how pub games go, not the greatest players verse not the greatest players, most players you encounter can be easily won against if you just autopilot, probably because they are autopiloting too. Rarely, you will encounter a player that's outstandingly better than the usual pub bot there is. In this game, getting outplayed/losing hard feels mostly boring and frustrating if you're not actively looking to improve, so most players will start blaming the game's balance because they are losing to a better player. Thing is, the skill of the average dbd player is so low, that player that the player you versed that seemed so unbeatable, probably still has a lot to learn and is easily defeatable by a better player. So unless you're playing competitively in tourneys, you can win 100% of matches by simply being better. Sure, you can say that X game mechanic is boring, and you don't like it, the point of video games is to be fun after all. But you shouldn't complain about the game's balance because you lost. There's no imbalance at pub level of play, you can always win if you simply play better, no perk combo from the other side beats you if you are more skillful, the fact that you are not playing the best killer using the best addons and perks isn't the reason you lost, the fact that the killer is playing spirit with her best addons and a first hook mori doesn't prevent you from getting chased and staying alive for long enough to get a pip at least, even if you are solo queueing. My point is, if you lose, there's literally nothing to blame besides yourself for it, the better player always comes out on top at the end. If you are the better killer, than the survs, you will always 3k at the very least and maybe a hatch escape, if you are very good survivor even if solo queueing, you can almost always get at the very least a safe pip even if you get first hook moried.

What kind of logic is this?

"You're most of the playerbase, so you don't get a say!"

Uh... no? People who play pubs are the fast majority and the game should be balanced around them. This is not a competitive game, despite what many seem to think otherwise.

Saying you should always get a 3k against most survivors is a bit insulting, both to the killer and the survivor. Just because you play pubs does not mean the players aren't skilled, it just seems that way due to the matchmaking being garbage so the disparity in skill is very high.

All this accomplishes if making you come across as very elitist and pretty goddamn rude to most of the playerbase.

As a Nurse main: no, she's not. Her bugs are really an inconvenience but I never lost games due to them.

Even Spirit needs the Mother-Daughter Ring + Yamuyoke Amulet to compete with the Nurse, but even with them she's considerably weaker than basekit Nurse. And then you slap things like double recharge or Kavanagh's Last Breath and you'll basically turn DBD into a single player game where you only lose when you mess up.

Nurse main here. Everything you mentioned is a skill based thing. If you play nurse for a lot of hours (like hundreds of hours) you get a lot of experience and can deal with any of that. A good nurse, will always get a hit from a blink. If you are good a chase can end in 10 seconds and survivors can't keep up.

Nurse is simultaneously the best killer in the game by far and needs to be reworked, but also the only viable one at high level play.

    But.... what's the point?

She requires hundreds of hours of investment just to be competent with her, but why suffer through that when there are other killers who can get the same results with much less effort?

Sorry, I'm just finding it hard to continue even trying to learn her when the road is so demotivating, I find myself wondering what its even worth.

Did you by chance read the post? If you did then you'd realize he DIED, AS A KID and then was resurrected. When you die your body does not age and therefore he can not be the same age as her. His husk may be, but development and brainwise that is a no go and because he was revived you can't count the years he was dead as his age. It is dumb to do so.

And he wasn't a baby when he died...

You cant be serious about what you said and if you are... Well idk what to say.

What I said isn't an opinion. They are conjoined twins. Being twins, they are the same age. Charlette's body was the one that developed, while Victor's lagged behind. None of this is up for debate—it's all factual.

  • Um... nobody cares?

If you're a good killer, the highest Bloodlust you should get is lvl 1. Otherwise, you're overcommitting to a chase and need to go. Only time you should hit 2 or 3 if it's the last survivor who, at that point, is pretty much dead anyway.

The only thing this will really affect is that some strong loops just became stronger (cow tree, any Haddonfield building, Ormond, etc). Otherwise, it'll be the same old.

  • Victor is Charlotte's conjoined twin. They're the same age, so Victor's not a baby—he just has an underdeveloped body.

  • @TwinnedHawks8772 You know, I've recommended that exact same thing. In fact, many have. It's so basic yet it'd help Legion so much.

  • "Do you know any other killer who can be denied by survivor item?"

Nurse can't blink when a flashlight is on her (though you're brave to try), Hag gets her traps destroyed, and both Trapper and Hag can both have their traps revealed by maps.

"Remaining hidden can often be quite hard considering many maps are wide open fields with very little obstacles to deny vision when working on gens as survivors. I often find myself unable to come from an unseen angle."

I agree with you here. Wraith is harder to see but not really invisible on certain maps. I think he should be completely invisible at a distance, similar to Freddy to awake survivors.

"Another problem with Wraith is that If the survivors spread wide and work on different gens, Wraith has no power to create map pressure but is left chasing one survivor at a time."

Kinda-sorta. Wraith is a hit and run killer, meant to come at unexpected angles without warning but not meant for long chases (similar to Ghost Face). The problem is that this can easily be countered by decent med kits, destroying his pressure instantly since he's meant to juggle survivors similar to Legion (who is the one killer you never heal against).

"Wraith also does not have any power in end-game collapse when trying to defend a hook"

He can cloak and camp... no TR means no BT. This isn't fun nor is it something I encourage, but thought it was worth mentioning.

All around, I agree in that Wraith is weak, too reliant on his add-ons, and needs tweaks. I just wanted to respond to a few statements made.

  • I mean.... what's your build?

Whispers is good on everyone. Sloppy is great since you're an M1 killer. I'm All Ears is a bit of an underrated gem imo. BBQ is always great.

  • You know, I was told repeatedly that I was overreacting. This may be true. What I know is true is that we'll see once the game goes live.

As someone who was a QA Tester who tested colour mode for many games, I can answer this (it’s a really long answer).

I myself am Protanopia, we cannot differentiate the colour Red and Green. Anything related to Red in this game is difficult to see.

The easiest option is to use a filter that replaces every RED AURA to WHITE or YELLOW.

HOWEVER! Dead by Daylight is not like most games, it’s a horror themed game which replies on a DARK atmosphere. White on a dark background is much clearer than Red, info is way more brighter and clearer. Scratch Marks are now BRIGHTER and WHITE, blood marks on the floor are BRIGHTER and WHITE, Aura reading perks like BBQ are BRIGHTER and WHITE etc.

And this is just one colour blind type, with Tritanopia being complex, Behaviour “may” have to change landscapes which “may” make players more visible.

This is a term called “competitive advantage”. Other games have this issue to like:

Fortnite: Non colour blind gamers see through the storm more clearly.

Overwatch: Non colour blind gamers see their allies highlighted Yellow and the enemy SUPER bright.

Even though this is small, it’s still a “competitive advantage” which is classed as cheating.

While I thank you for the elaboration, I do stand by my belief that the small advantage doesn't justify making people go through hell because of a disability they were born with.

  • @MrPeterPFL said:

As someone who is colour blind, it definitely is needed, but like what bjorksnas said, people will abuse this option, which makes me sad.

How do you abuse colorblind settings?! Scratch Marks and such are things you're supposed to see anyway. Even still, the benefit would be so marginal that it in no way justifies screwing over a large population of the playerbase due to no fault of their own.

  • Not long. Literally just 1 second at moving at 3.68 (92% speed).

  • Hello, fellow console Nurse player! You are an inspiration to us all!

You can’t react to the ringing if he just quickscopes you, which is what every deathslinger does. No one aims their gun long enough for ppl to dodge.

He's still a 110% killer. Put an Object between you and him, maybe juke to the left and right and you should be able to get to tile in time, provided you keep an eye out. And quickscoping is far, far from easy as it requires learning what the center of your screen is before hand, similar to Huntress.

That said, I do agree that his ADS time needs some adjustment, but that's it. Nothing major.
