To prevent 100% chance to escape by 1 perk.

It does not lol. You can guarantee 2 kills if you combine it with slow down. And there is 0 counterplay for the person on hook. It’s just frustrating knowing nothing you can get you out.
Campers work the same way the afk pig does. You have to sacrifice 1 guy, for 3 to get out. And yes, it's frustrating, but what can you do? What Developers can do? Solutions on camping?
I can only see some goofy solutions to camping which I'm not gonna like for sure.
Guarantee 2 kills - 0 chances with killer afking by the hooked person. I played a lot of killer matches from patch, let me say, gen rush is really a thing, and what killer slowdowns are you talking about if the killer just standing and not moving from a hook? 1 stack of thana? 1 gen being blocked? Idk...
-
@Oscarnator said:
I get that gen speeds and base kit BT being a joke makes it easier to tunnel but man how can you complain about not having enough map pressure when you’re sitting near hook like you’re a patrol officer?
With all my killer expirience, I never played like that. Tho I could camp someone if there is an end game. Camping someone by first hook or at the start of a match is a lamest and most boring way to play such game, and I do think it should be punished. How exactly? Thats a question.
Gen rush is a well known tactic against campers. And I believe, it's still working, if survivors bring perks to increase speed of gens.
I don't agree about tunneling tho. There is NO WAY tunneling now is easier than before. Telling that from a killer sight, no way, it's easier to tunnel someone now.

I actually have yet to meet a spine chill gamer while playing against her. But it does counter her pretty hard
From a bottom of my heart, I hope it's a bug. Otherwise, survivors are gonna use this perk with 100% situations or kind of builds.
I love stealth killers, but if this intended by developers, I'm afraid I'm gonna ditch them, coz there is 0 sneaking chances with such perk.

They didn't shake it up they just replaced the meta with another super similar less fun meta OTR Is just a stronger less fun DS
To me, replacing a meta is already an act of shaking this up.=)
I don't see that much OTR in my matches, I actually see survivors using almost ALL kind of perks, I even created a thread about it.

Let gens take 70 secs, increasing pallet stun and speed when hit by 10%, remove bloodlust, nerf gen regression and let killers only use 1 of them and remove exhaustion for survs so they can’t use 4 second chance perks and you get what survs are feeling now
Overreaction at it's best.
I agree with you, that killers got stronger, yes, I get it. But don't you think survivors just didn't get used to changes yet? Didn't come up with new working meta, or just good synergy perks, new strategy to play?
You're an old player. You've been in some changes before. I'm 100% sure you can create a new meta yourself and go ham on matches.
Just take some time and try to play, yes, update isn't perfect, maybe even far from perfect, but what it provides? Diversity which all wanted, I'm sure of it.

They just butchered perks so people would try the buffed ones that still do the same thing as the ones they nerfed like they could have at least Introduced newer types of perks
No, I don't agree.
The main reason of this update is to shake up the meta. Which is been butchering killers expirience for years, as well as survivors.

Some maps like garden of joy or haddonfield are just awful for her though
I don't really wanna ruin your fun... But I think I have to say, there is legend about spine chill activates even when undetectable killer is within 36m of a survivor even without clear line of sight...
It's still a legend tho! Not sure, but beware...

Some perks are bad by themselves, but if you pair them, they become god-tier.

I have 5.400 hours, I’m good looping, and this patch is the death of solo survs. You can’t loop a good killer with the new buffs and the new bloodlust. Survs perks were nerfed to the ground and killers still have very good perks. Do you imagine a survs perk that gives 15% of progression? Do you imagine a killer perk that let him see his red stain? Or a killers perk that let survs get 3 heal states? This is the kind of trash perk survs have
So you're just suddenly started to get outlooped by a 10% (which is miliseconds) of killer braking a pallet? Survivors who complaining about bloodlust, I'm not even gonna continue...
Survs perks were nerfed... You mean the same 4-5 perks every single match they were abusing? Who'd imagine...
Survivor perk that gives 15% of progress... Dude killer 1, survivors 4.
If you had 5.400 hours in the game, I don't expect you to complain about bloodlust or killer perks unless you just don't want to use any perk that not in previous "second-chance" meta.

I hear that excuse and many others a lot from campers. I was kicking gen (back when kicking a gen did nothing unless they had pop), a gen with like 10% progression, or I thought I saw someone by this tile. What I find funny is if camping and tunneling is a viable strat why do most killers get defensive about it? Only a very few just straight out admit it, yeah I was camping.
But what if he's actually didn't even want to camp? Look at some streamers playing killers, yes some of them doing it purposely. But some didn't even think about it and got acused in end game chat. It's not fair and it feels cringe. xD

Since patch 6.1.0 I faced Sprint Burst, Lithe and hacked Dead Hard (guys playing DH with some cheats to have back the old animation)
I'm aware of a cheaters, run on 1 guy, at least he wasn't subtle and didn't hold anyone hostage. Thank you cheater... I guess...

NGL I was expecting everyone to run OTR/Hope, but I haven't seen those once :v
Exhaustions are mostly SB/Lithe, but that was expected. Occasionally there's Overcome, but with the base distance reduced I wouldn't recommend this one.
There's at least one Prove Thyself every game, which is also not surprising.
I've seen more Self Cares than CoH (which is like... why??)
BT is a rare sight too, I guess people stopped running it in hopes everyone else has OTR?
Surprisingly very little Unbreakables, which is weird, since this perk wasn't touched?
Adrenaline seem to be the most seen perk now for me. It's been meta before but it wasn't run as much before. I love this perk, and I'm glad to see people started using it again.
Didn't see a SINGLE Windows of opportunity since patch dropped. Which explains why people run like headless chickens (but killers aren't any better, they seem to be confused a lot after this patch too).
1-2 Vigils every game, fully understandable :D
I've seen Lightweight only on the patch day, not a single one since then.
Overall, I didn't get a chance to collect a bingo line of perks yet, everyone runs something different, and it's fun on both sides :D
My last 3 matches, survivors was running flip-flop, coh, unbreakable, lithe.
Self-care (weird), balance landing, empathic connection, botany.
coh (yes, again), lithe, prove thyself, resilience.
I mean... It's chaotic to me, 0 DH, 0 DS, 0 OTR, 0 BT... I don't know why, I'd still use them, F it even DH.
Practicing new DH is gonna be one hell of an adventure tho...
-
You said you never had a problem with DH before update... Does it mean... You waited out even if they using it for distance?! This guy is a genious!
Ok now honestly... Problem with DH wasn't a "just wait it out", it was a distance they were getting to reset a loop completely, instead of getting down, by pressing 1 button. Iframes and sniffing back of the survivors wasn't a real problem about this perk.
-
@PBsamichShoe said:
Dead Hard was the only exhaustion perk that activated when you wanted it to.
Imagine how much better sprint burst or lithe would be if they only became active after you hit the activate button. With lithe you could run a strong vault until it forced you to use lithe and then you could extend the chase further.
Same with sprint burst, if you could activate it when you wanted it to become active you could use it to extend a chase.
Same for balanced landing. You could run a strong height loop a couple of times and then activate it to extend chases.
The iframes were OP, for sure, but that's not what made dead hard useful. Even the little dash forward would be generally useless if it activated in the same way that sprint burst, balanced landing or lithe does.
I never had issues with DH as a killer before the nerf. You just wait that ######### out. That's it. It's so simple it's almost braindead.
I want an exhaustion perk that triggers when I tell it to. I don't need iframes or for it to even last very long, but just to activate when I want it to. It would of course still cause exhausted for whatever the timer is but the key is that it would trigger when I choose for it to.
BHVR make this a thing.
Lithe and SB activating on a button... Isn't it gonna be just 1 perk then? I can see SB by activating with button.
How you do it with Lithe tho?=)

Went against a group of survivors with 3 Prove Thyself generators perks like Prove overzealous are probably gonna be the new meta.
I removed Corrupt Intervention from all my builds and put on Discordance instead gave me way better value I can pressure multiple survivors early which is good against these filthy PT enjoyers.
I also saw some Built to Last users with good toolboxes.
I think so, tho I think it's a little boring meta to have, but hey... Survivors wants to win too... Yeah I agree, gonna try gen-rush with friends, hope it's gonna be more than 50% of escapes.
Some killers still needs a corrupt imo, like Hag or Trappa, I don't see them without this perk.

We can blame both. People who farm you from the hook and the killers that are still tunneling and camping.
As much as I know survivors, they can acuse killer of camping if the killer didn't leave a hook like INSTANTLY. They don't want to even consider the fact, that killer seen scratch marks just right when he hooked someone, or he just gone to kick this gen right besides a hook.
Insta camping acusation, become common long ago.

You guys don't see what's about to happen do you? Because Gen Rushing was addressed but tunneling and camping were made worse, this game will be super killer sided now. And for every killer who thinks that's a benefit think it through. Survivors will quit. Not slow down, QUIT. When that happens your que times will triple. But that won't fix anything, because the game will still be broken and killer sided. The only people who will not get 4k are the ones playing into SWFs or baby killers. And from that point you will see a heavy decline in the population of this game. Because as much as you laugh about survivors quitting, you need survivors to play this game. So have fun with that.
Imo... You're clearly overreacting to this patch, the patch just got live... Please, guys. Just calm down and think, you can create a new meta now. Most of survivors to me playing the same overaltruisticly as before. Some thing about survivors tactics needs to change.
I agree Qtimes are longer now, but you what? I'd rather go against strong survivors who's not gonna DC, rather than 2 sec qtime with dc after first down...

Wait really? That's idiotic. My lord.
I guess all we can do is pray that no one bothers using it since they removed the vault speed bonus.
Horrible. Literally all they had to do was make the perk not do anything against undetectable killers.
I literally thought, that this perk lights up only when undetectable killer have clear LOS on a survivor within 36m.
But still, how is it not a bug, when the killer have no terror radius? I'm just saying that... If it's intended - i'm not touching stealthy killers. I don't wanna go into each match and hope for survivors don't have spine chill. -_-

@Mandy said:

You get the action speed bonus if the killer is within 36m and you have direct line of sight - so nothing blocking at all. (not terror radius related, as TR is smaller than 36m).
The Terror Radius portion is the secondary effect if you like, which is where the perk has that "clock effect" - which is currently bugged and working in the opposite way, so getting emptier instead of fuller depending on the strength of the terror radius. This part does not give you the action speed bonus.
Hello, does Spine chill lights up when the killer is undetectable and have no LOS on the survivors?
If yes, is it intended?
-
Wait, what...?
So Spine chill is bugged out and it's lighten up even when the killer undetectable and have no LOS?!
You have 0 idea, how many survivors I just reported for WH while playing sadako... I feel bad now...

@Marik1987 said:
I am a Killer-Main and I disagree with that. Top-Killers like Nurse, Blight or Spirit should get nerfed, while Low-Tier-Killers like Pig, Freddy, Sadako(!), Trapper should receive different buffs.
For example:
Trapper: Give him his 8 traps directly and dont let him pick these up. So in short: Give him the Trapper Bag Basekit. Then u have the surprise on your side ;-). And: He should be able to replace them. ATM he cant pick them up while using the purple addon.
Pig: Speed up the Ambush-Preparation (going into crouch). You can use the crouch for mindgames or to start the ambush. The Traps are fine tho.
Freddy: Addon-Pass and Cosmetics
Sadako: 7 Stacks is fine, because its 7 days in the movie. But they should load faster and when u interact with a tape, you shouldnt be able to kill 3 stacks. It should be 1. On Top of that, her TVs should become active much quicker.
You do understand that even a slight overbuff to sadako's condemned is gonna be a 100% death to survivors.
I think, aside from other killers, you have to be really careful touching and buffing stuff like her condemned status.
I think sadako just need some numbers twerk, like her invisability from 1.5 sec to 2 or 2.5 seconds and etc, to be more confusing for survivors to loop her.

Quitting coz of a perk... Wow...

I'm ok with DS being 5 sec stun like before.
I'm not ok with DS working at end game, it's good change.
I'm not ok with Iron will completely silence survivors if they're not moving, it's a good change.
Tbh I hated this perk (iron will) since they decided to buff it by 100%. It felt weird and absurd to me.
Don't forget, with new lightweight and old iron will (if they revert it) it will be a nightmare to find a survivor you just hit.
So no for Iron will and no for DS working at the end game.

They give bps for survs because there are a lot less surv. But when a killer play as survivor this is 5 less survs you need in the game. This is the reason killer queue is instant. But they are also removing people for the game, and this is a very very bad decision
To be fair... For me it was always a matter of current time, for survivors and killer q time.
Mornings are fast survivor matches, but long for evening.
Killer otherwise, long for mornings, but fast for evening.

play against Stbfl it's ridiculous, 10% cooldown after hit + 10% less survivor speed boost is pretty big it's not minor, dead hard is dead and other exhaustion perks are meh let's be honest, I don't think DS nerf is needed either it's too easy to tunnel someone out now OTR is garbage.
we should aim for a fun game for both sides threads like this one doesn't help, both sides are pretty easy to play anyway why taunt
I'm not gonna say "I wasn't trying to taunt survivors" coz I clearly am due to my post. You're right here. But you know, I don't like them outraging after 1-2 matches when patch JUST DROP.
What exactly you can say to people, if they're not listening? When they refuse to adjust to changes and play more matches, find a good build to replace second chance meta (some found already), get your looping skills back.

And did you not read when I said thanks to slower gen times and certain perks it's impossible to get the gens done fast enough, also why should a camping killer be allowed to ruin that person's gaming experience? It's not fun, and games are supposed to be fun.
No, I don't agree. To me gens are still flying left and right, if people actually are sitting on them. Imagine killer don't interrupt you while you repairing a gens, these 10 seconds are nothing even with slowdown perks. Haven't seen a problem with this.
About this guy fun... Yes it's a shame that killer allowed to ruin someone match like that, personally, I don't know other healthy solution to camping problem. Other than just make a killer regret playing like that. And hope that he or she gonna change their way of playing the game, by only getting 1 kill each match they decide to camp someone at the first hook.
-
@Jinxed said:
It's not the perks that are the problem, the problem is that tunnelling is way, way stronger now. I just had a game against a huntress in which I looped her for the first 2 gens. Then she found a slightly weaker survivor and camped and tunnelled him to death and because of the slower gen times it was already over. If a killer chooses to play this way they are almost guaranteed a 4k in solo queue.
Tunneling and camping was a thing even before the update. Camping yeah, I understand there is nothing changed, but tunneling is way stronger? How?
I'm really sorry, but if you looped a huntress for 2 gens, and she got 4k out of camping someone... Means that you don't know a basic easy tactic against camping.=) Just do gens and get out. Thats it. Let this huntress get her 1 kill, and she lost anyway. Next time she will change her way of playing this game.

and honestly I played both side for 1000+ hours I'm still pretty bad at survivor, playing killer really isn't that hard especially now, you can autowin some matches if you can just hold w and left click
It's 10% buffs worth of miliseconds... How Is that even much of a difference in distance...?
I think people overreacting to new stuff, and it needs to setle for a week. Just playing the game and adjusting to new things thats it.

Thats what I'm talking about! Survivors who have skill and knowledge of the loops now have a FAIR chance to outplay a killer.
-
@dictep said:
Survs use second chance perks and killers use gen regression perks. But second chance perks have been nerfed to the ground, and exhaustion also exists. Regression perks have been slightly nerfed or overbuffed, and you can use 4 of them together
Exhaustion isn't excuse to be bad at loops but using 1 button have you 100% chance of getting to this window or pallet to reset completely a chase. It was unfair at it's best.
Ok so, what about regression perks that killer have being overbuffed? I only seen nerfs.
-
@MigrantTheGreat said:

Yes, exactly! I'm mostly talking about outraging posts here. Some survivors still playing and enjoying the game while others are just mad coz of their "crutch meta" got reworked.
They talking about killers camping or tunneling more... I personally played the game and not a single hint on a tunneling from a killer. They still can camp, but tunneling is not an optional strategy really.
Altho, they were camping and tunneling before, so I don't really understand the logic of this outrage.
-
To me, the game moved from unfair second chance perks to actual skill.
-
@JimbusCrimbus said:
So, hear me out. I went in both in solo queue and in a 4 man today. Obviously the 4 man was easier, but none of us used exhaustion perks or other second chances (cause we don't need them), and in solo queue I only really brought BT as a second chance, with Aftercare, Botany and Desperate Measures. This has been my solo queue build with a while. Solo queue felt largely the same as before.
What's really going on here is, survivors lost their ultra safe and free second chance perks (aka - dead hard), along with things like the ability to just nullify a killers 2 second gen kick with the tap of a button mid chase...and now what's showing is that many, many survivors aren't as good as they thought they were.
This.
Survivors had too many second chances that gave them enough for their mistakes. Now these unfair to killer perkes are gone and they can clearly see, that they can't loop and mindgame as good as they think they were.
They got lazy and lost their skill due to these perks. Don't ram on a killers 10% buffs (which is miliseconds) and 2.5 gen kicking.
Survivors should not be carried by such unfair perks like second chances. Now they have a good chance to actually get stronger and improve with mindgames and loops. Let's see how they cares.=)

No, I'm being honest to you and myself, I played nurse for since I started the game, it's a killer I played my VERY FIRST match in this game.
To me, whoever saying that nurse is easy to play or learn, is just salty, or they never played her themselves so arguing with them is much similar to arguing against my eyes. =)
Learning a nurse to me, is a horrible expirience especially first 20 or 30 matches. If you gut against a swf, be prepared to get toxicity worth of the week of playing in that 1 match.=)
I've gone through all this just coz I like this killer and like the ability, I've searched every single guide, every single advice and tips on how to play her good. And let me just say what I think is "op" with nurse is 1 thing: her range addons.
I'm fine with even removing range addons entirely. Basekit nurse is a 100% ok killer to play as and against.

Place a new player with at new killer with only 1 perk each and the killer wins every time. I have been strictly talking about new players this whole time. Reading comprehension is a thing that people on the internet seem to not get.
Sorry, I still don't understand how 10% destruction speed and afterhit animation and 2.5% gen gen kicking is gonna affect the gameplay THAT drasticly, Personally, I didn't noticed much difference in killers basekit.
Relax, I think most of survivors just overreacting to things, due to aftermath of shaking the meta.=)

Some people on the forums and Reddit were saying that you could get up to 500%, 600%, or 700% regression (depending on who you asked) before the nerf in the PTB with both perks at their peak. Other people have said that it goes with the highest number, so it started at 200% and worked its way up to 400%.
Which is true, and how does it work now?
Is it additive, as in, does it start at 175% with a kick and then work its way up to 300% and then drop back down to 200% when Brine deactivates, or does it just start at 200% and stay at 200% indefinitely, or what?
If survivors taping a gen, there is 0 point from overcharge, it's even more like a nerf to you. 75% even less than you could do, and it needs like 12 seconds if I'm not mistaken to be 100%, and 30 seconds to 200% which is... Wait... Call of brine is already 200% from the start.
Overcharge is just garbage by it's own!
Tbh, I'd rather ran POP and COB...
