why come online to even say this? if you are gonna quit etc, just do so....
You know, when you quit a company, either a serious or decent company, you have an interview where they ask you about why you are leaving and stuff... they want to know what's going on and what could be better...
If someone decides to leave the game after such a long time of playing it, I would be interested in having their feedback were I part of the devs/team.

Yea, or for example a ranked 5v5 mode where complete teams (4 Survivors and 1 Killer) simulatenously play against each other.
Team A has 1 killer and 4 survs. Team B has 1 killer and 4 survs. Team A killer vs Team B survs while Team A survs vs Team B killer. That would indeed be interesting.

Hello
interesting read, thanks a lot.
Please let me chime in on the Listening to Feedback part. My goal with the post is not to make an excuse but more explaining our though process.
Our goal with the PBT is so that players can give us feedback on the upcoming content and also find bugs or exploits in the balance that our small team could not find. Its simply impossible for us to find all variations and tricks on newly released content. Any online game faces that problem actually.
As for the feedback received, we do read and go through a lot of posts on our forum/reddit and look at stream/youtube to see what players think of the pbt. We take the feedback but it doesn't mean that we have to agree or put in everything. Even though it might seem that one specific point is a general opinion, just because there's a lot of post about it. There's always a number of players who will find it totally fine but keep silent about it. We take feedback and compare to our metric and also use our gut feeling in the process to choose what will go through or not.
For the Plague as an example, we got that some players feel that the fountains should not heal. We have playtested that scenario for weeks and came to the conclusion that they should heal to give even more incentive to Survivor to use them. We think its part of her balance are core design, and we have decided to leave it as is...for now.
But we did increase her vomit effect duration and Purge duration, based on feedback, since the original timing was perceived as not effective enough.
This is just a small example of how we deal with feedback. On a design principle its never good to makes a lot of changes all at once either. Especially since there is not much time left between the PTB and final release. We have to implement the changes, test them design/balance side and then send the changes to QA to make sure that these changes have not created bugs. We usually keep our ptb changes to value tweaks. Its impossible to do complete rework within that time frame.
I'm sorry that you have decided to leave the game. Although I hope that you will keep following it because they're a lot of changes that are coming up which have been community request for a long time (killer rework, gameplay changes, scoring rebalance, ranks...). I cannot mention them specifically, but I do hope we can announce them on our stream soon so you can see that the game is evolving based on what our player wants.
Thanks again
We’ll take your word on that @Janick . We really need some things to change. The actual state of the game is not as appealing as it once was.

I play mostly solo and while it can be hard if someone DCs, I have never, ever, DCd myself because of “frustration” issues. I have twice or thrice because lag was horrendous. Even when killers lag switch I stay there and play. It can be the end of the match for those who stay? Possibly. Or not. A lot of killers understand that the more the survivors DC the less points they make so they would rather farm and both sides get benefits. If a killer agrees to farm I always have them kill me in the end while others might escape. Other killers simply want the match to end fast to look for a better one so they will do whatever to find you and kill you.
Now, it’s not the killer’s problem. It is survivors who are the problem. I has been quite a while since I last had a killer DC in game because they were failing. Survivors DC 3 out of 5 games. I main survivor, but dude, we are cancer to this game.

Even though Ace is from Argentina and he could’ve been my neighbor... I can’t stand his vibe. Looks like a pervert.

And those are the people crying "wahhh!! Nerf NOED!!! That son of a [Bad Word] took my GG EZ away! I'm going straight to the forums to tell not queen I quit DBD until they nerf it!" ... I swear I just want to have a m1 as a survivor to smack those people who just run by it like it's nothing.
I feel the same and I sometimes might or might not fast vault a window right next to them...
-
So it was three people blocked in the basement? Did they all have rbt?
-
1) delete the names unless you want the post removed
2) the killer is toxic and proud of beating low ranks, nothing you won’t be seeing a lot these days
-
Title. Is this intended? I've opened DBD once since the last update. I thought I would log in and play a game or two this morning.
Someone else has DS or the killer had obsession perks maybe? I don’t really know how it works in the first case.

Dude there isnt even skill checks while cleansing them it's way too EZ and there are only five totems if you get 2 and the rest of your team only do 1 each then NOED is non existent
Average survivors don’t cleanse totems unless someone else is nearby and they feel like they could grab those points before the other person. Every single trial I see people run past totems and ignore them.
-
If it’s a console exclusive, then there would be no PTB.
-
Running small game is no guarantee that you will find every totem unless you dedicate the whole game to running around the map to find totems. Some totem locations are either extremely hard or camped by the killer.
-
Yeah, I never mentioned I’m on PS4

@Gorgonia - Same here actually, but only for survivor. I can't get a killer game at all.
I played both. Had no issues finding a game.

It’s weird. I’ve found games real fast the last two days...

It’s impossible to get insta morid in under a minute unless you or your team literally just stood there and let him feed Evil Within. Otherwise git gud, you had spine chill for a reason you shouldn’t have ignored it.
Er... okay. (?

Lol no... I pressed the predictive keyboard by mistake right before I posted it and ccl about editing xD

PS4 has been crashing with the blue screen of death lately. Oh, and The Plague has a sound bug either in the store or in the menu/lobby. Every a certain amount of time you hear like a little explosive kinda sound... I stopped playing her because I don’t want my sound card to go kaboom
-
@ColgateAdvancedWhite said:
It's fair because he had the skills to get to EW3
I’m not complaining about that. But instamori is ridiculous. Downing me with EW3 and hooking me is alright, but starting the match to find yourself moried less than 1 minute in? Kinda not.. and
-
Do you play bubba? Yesterday I had a bubba with no chase music and no tr and no chainsaw sound, I turned my cam and I shat down my pants
-
@Delfador said:
@Gorgonia Of course not, what were you thinking?
Killers paid for insta chainsaws, omegablinks, extra blinks, iri head infantry belt combos, prayer beads, frank's mixtapes, ebony mories for that 'unusual experience' that is 'not sustainable' and to 'increase their enjoyment'.
Survivors paid for insta heals too you may say but we don't care about them. It is unbalanced therefor they must go.
Killers need those addons to combat with SWF groups that they dodge and use them on solo survivors. That's why we need them.
Also we are not willing to remove both sides' bullshit things because we can dodge lobbies when we see medkits or toolboxes so survivors can keep their stuff, and we get to keep ours, we won't face your instaheals anyway, you don't know what you are facing though, prepare for omegablink ebony mori nurse :)
/s
It’s funny indeed, because yesterday I played a game vs Myers, the one time he saw me he got to EW3 in a second and instamoried me... at the beginning of the game... can someone instaheal me from death?
-
@NoShinyPony said:
Yes, let's punish those survs who keep the killer busy the entire match and let's reward those who do the easy job! /s
In all seriousness, this would only lead to good survs playing in the lowranks and mediocre players being stuck in the midranks because good loopers can't carry them to the highranks anymore.
How is “playing stealthy” the same as doing the easy job?
-
Should we remove instadown too? Or instamori?
-
Wth is that alien thing xD
-
Same happened to me. Im not playing much and Im around rank 8 at the moment. I either get a rank 1 or 2 killer or rank 15 to 18 survivors, or both at the same time -.-
-
Yes. It logs me out and gives me that error and whatever I did before the error gets reverted, I mean, say I spent some bps, I got them back, kinda like a rollback
-
Yesterday I played around 3 to 4 games as a survivor. They were terrible. The last one was a camping plague that hooked me and kept on vomiting on me until I went thru all the phases. I closed the game after that. And like the OP said, I kept getting around 20k points (except for the last game where I only got like 5) yet the performance wasn’t good enough to pip sometimes. I don’t care about rank but it seems to be not okay.
-
I’ve been playing Apex. Quick matches, bang bang kill bang bang die. Start over.
-
They should stop with the DLCs and go for quality instead of quantity. Why have 20 killers and survivors when none can be played optimally? Why would you level Jane or The Plague if you know you need at least 2-3kk bps to get the perks you want? It gets tiring. The grinding is even harder because 1 game out of 3 or 4 games, people DC or the killer DCs and that trial doesn’t count towards your growth because you either get stomped or you get no points.
I wouldn’t mind playing the same killer for a year straight if that meant there were no quality issues to complain about.
-
They will be working on performance these months. I believe this change was kind of necessary until a better optimization patch comes out. Imagine all that vomiting with the previous graphics. Consoles would be blowing up
-
Man, these posts... they should totally ask for a pic of the players’ IDs before letting them play. It feels like a kindergartenish invasion all of a sudden.

Yeah, I guess assuming is what causes more problems haha. I'll def post it there. Thanks!
On PS4, if you got 4 people and one leaves suddenly the lobby is bugged until someone leaves, but we don’t have ingame chat so I’m the one leaving sometimes
-
I play stealthy and usually have gold or iridescent emblems in most categories. Boldness can be the hardest to achieve, not taking into consideration if we end up surviving or not.
-
The amount of bugs I’ve seen today is HUGE. Like my screen turning completely red while in the bloodweb, I freaked out.
-
I played a couple of games with a friend who came to visit. He is rather new and depipped every game. I only pipped once and I ended up with avg 20k points so Idk what is going on. If you play too stealthy it will hurt your growth I think

Heh, it’s no problem

Jane’s profile looks rather... errr...
-
I’m a he xD
and yeah, I’m sad, not angry... yet hah
-
Yeah, it’s way too recent now and I try not to think but then I go into dbd and see his account there and I’m like “damn...” and close the game.
sigh
-
I played around 25 games today. No keys.
-
When the killer is lagging badly the whole game is laggy, not only during chases.
-
Unless the traitor’s aura is always revealed to the killer
-
I faced a Billy with NOED today... he had killed 3 already and only 1 gen was repaired. I could never find that ruin :/
-
the numbers don’t add...
first they say the numbers will be reduced to 3/3.5/4 but then they add totals 4/8/12/16... what’s the current % in the game?

I understand what you mean but in some scenarios, helped by DH or another exhaustion perk, you could still be able to get distance between you and the killer.
don't forget that tunneling is wothless sometimes, so the killer won't waste time chasing you,
That’s even more situational but I see your point. Either way, Dead Hard would help you escape one blow but the killer can catch up real fast. SB could be more “problematic” but still
-
I have read only a few mature people in here that want the game to improve for real. The rest are but whiny kids

Lul, the two play styles that ruin the game, Gen rush is the biggest problem in this game. I prefer playing survivor but play killer a lot more because of queue times and that. No matter what side you play gen rushing is a lot worse than "tunneling" for example. A coordinated team can do 5 gens in 5 minutes. A killer trying to camp has other survivors to deal with while trying to protect the hook, not to mention survivors have plenty of anti camp perks to help them. I don't camp personally, when I get camped I die and move on, its a game.(sometimes as a survivor I deserve to be camped and actually enjoy it lol) As for tunneling I mean if a killer hooks a survivor twice their gonna be called for tunneling so I don't really care about tunnelling but for a killer to camp and tunnel all players gives survivors enough time to complete like 10 gens.
Why do people keep insisting that gen rushing is a thing survivors provoke? That’s the survivor’s objective. Should they start the game and let you kill two before they start repairing? If gens take too little to repair that’s not the survivors’ fault.
Either way, people complain a lot about games that I haven’t seen much lately. Repairing 5 gens in a game can be hard most of the time. Lots of red ranked killers complaining about gen rush can mean but a single thing: you might not deserve that rank.
-
Why would you stop tunneling if the penalty is but a mere second? Unhook > tunnel > you eat DS yet there’s even no time to lose the survivor > down again > hook
\o/
-
And 50% bonus bps offerings
