Cosmetic team =/= lore team =/= balance team
You can't get a bunch of artists and tell them to reprogram the game, like you can't get a bunch of programmers and tell them to draw compelling work.

Idk, why do we need a rainbow bird?
Why not? It harms nobody, helps people show pride, and is incredibly cute. The only people it harms are already on this thread crying about how they feel discriminated against because of their unaccepted homophobia.

Can't control what other players do. You also can't control who you queue with in solo queue. Hard lesson to learn but I had to learn it recently because I was losing all the time due to other players not playing so well. Now I just run Lithe, Dance With Me, Quick and Quiet, and Windows of Opportunity. I had to learn the only thing I could control was my own playstyle. So yeah, you can tell other players to get better at the game all you want but that's not the best solution, at least until the Devs decide to buff the perk.
In which case you're actually better off using Corrective Action
-
@Araphex said:
You lost ONE game. It's a good perk because then the killer isn't notified where you are. Also, killers need all the gen regression they can get to have a semi-advantage in this game. But I wouldn't dwell on one game, plus I'd just move to another gen if they kept doing that. Then the killer can deal with them and not you. Maybe it needs a buff, and maybe we will see that. But don't worry about ONE game with ONE bad player. That's just how RNG solo queue works. Trust me, I get a lot of bad players on solo queue and that's why I have a build to keep ME safe, not everyone else. Sure, I still lose but I have a better chance of winning solo queue games because of it. Find what works best for you and go from there. I really hope this ONE experience doesn't ruin all of DBD for you. I wouldn't.
It's a good perk because then the killer isn't notified where you are.
Or, and hear me out- don't fail skill checks.
It's not a good perk, it's a new player perk. And even then it hurts more than it helps.

I would love to see Yui or Claud as ace.
highkey I see Yui as lesbian or some kind of fruity, her lore (and the overall lore of her chapter) is all about disobeying traditions, finding that one group of people that support you with the help of one family member as the rest try to push you down. and claudette is definitely either aro or ace, i headcanon that hard

can’t wait to run this, i mean; after all— bhvr wants to tell lgbtq2s+ stories, this just solidifies the fact.
if you’re bothered by a rainbow bird, perhaps reflect on that & think before you post, because quite honestly, people are still going to be gay, trans, bi… the community has existed throughout history. we just now get to hear our stories. us being visible is not going to hurt or erase anyone in anyway, theology or not!
especially when the game you’re playing is literally committed to allyship as well as maintains a large queer playerbase.
happy pride month<3 be proud of who you are & never compromise that for anyone. i hope wlw gets the same rep mlm gets :D
Praying lesbian, trans, enby, bi, and pan rep too (and also, aro/ace characters, yes please)

Is this bad thing? I mean map mobility and solid anti chase
He just feels boring as ######### to play as. I hate it. I cannot stand playing it and I would rather cause myself to be violently sick playing Blight with a lower than normal FOV than playing Dredge because, like Artist, he makes me fall asleep at the wheel.
Killer diversity keeps this game alive. Killers being fun to play for all different people keeps this game alive. Making every killer exactly like the previous one makes the game incredibly stale and if they were all designed exactly like Dredge I would have quit within a year because there is no way in hell you are ever forcing me to play this boring abomination.
Yes, if everyone was like Dredge it would be an awful thing. You forget you are talking to the Pyramid Head main of these forums, a killer famous for having less than 0 map mobility.

if every killer was like dredge i'd genuinely uninstall because killer is by far my preferred role and if they made everyone as boring to play as he is i'd just straight up quit.

Never in all my hours of playing has a survivor showed me any empathy nor respect, so yes ill accept that they will try their hardest to make my game unfun since it is an usual behaviour and won't ask anything else from them. Nor should any killer player expect anything else.
So long as you're consistent with your belief idfc, you got it you play how you like. I literally only give a ######### when someone sobs about how survivors are so toxic and tbag and genrush etc etc while they spend the entire 2 minutes someone's hooked hitting them and nodding like a lost puppy when someone asks "are you a good boy?"

The fact you're complaining about them hiding grades when their link to skill was minimal at best is exactly why they hid grades. Because comments like yours would constantly appear going "Omg I'm only silver why were there 4 iridescent in my match"

"ok but why are there 4 iris in my game im only silver"
"grades aren't used for matchmaking"

I'm not sure the Art team have had a flop in a long time tbh. There's definitely things I like more than others (and Artist is very close to a flip design wise imho) but in 99% of cases the Art team and sound team both knock it out the park constantly.

If bhvr said no mither is meta would there be people dumb enough to believe it?
If they gave the data to back it up, yes. Outside of my experience I would have no reason to doubt their data, which is why I have no problems with the ~74% usage of Dead Hard at highest levels because it checks out with my experience and others. And I have no issues believing Self-care is around the top 5 perks because I absolutely see it a lot in solo queue, unfortunately.
No Mither I would have a much harder time to convince myself but if I saw it more often, then no I would believe them if they supplied the data.

Now just you wait a second mister (or ma'am), you most definitely do not get to decide what my place is or isn't, and if you think that because I'm not queer I cannot either have or express an opinion on queer matters on a queer oriented post, then I very much feel within reason to call you an intolerant bigot.
Hopefully I'm misreading your intention, and if so I do apologize in advance. If I did not, then I don't think I have any else to discuss with you.
Oh no, you can express your opinion on queer matters, you just don't get to choose what is or isn't active or passive hatred and discrimination against LGBT+ people, just like I can't choose what's active or passive hatred and discrimination against black people since I'm not black. Each minority group are the only ones who can decide since it's them that have to deal with it every time.

I guess you're right on all accounts there.
True understanding is a very hard thing to accomplish unless one has actually experienced the same. Nevertheless I don't think true understanding is a requirement for acceptance.
You're also right about my comment on my friend, on retrospective.
The thing I struggle the most with is this tendency of all these communities to compartmentalize themselves. I mean I just don't see the difference. One can be gay, straight, black, white, progressist or retrograde, or whatever, why is it important? Why can't we just get along and love each other, or at the very least tolerate those we simply cannot commune with? I honestly find all this categorization utterly superfluous. If I like someone, then I like them, I don't even factor any of this.
I mean I was just discriminated because I'm straight male, my opinions discarded without a second glance because of this, by people who have very likely experienced discrimination and dismissal for just being "different". By someone who allegedly strives for acceptance yet indulges in rejection.
Yet I can still accept and appreciate this person, understand that they are probably fed up with bigotry and stuff.
Is it so hard? I dunno it just baffles me.
"The thing I struggle the most with is this tendency of all these communities to compartmentalize themselves. I mean I just don't see the difference. And trust me, I would love for that to happen too. But when this has been tried it's lead to the majority simply using the fact there are more of them to exploit and marginalise minority groups. It still happens to this day. So we need to band together and support each other to help achieve equality, because even if statutory equality is had it means nothing if we are still unequal in the minds of the people.
And until I am tolerated and accepted by people, I will not tolerate and accept them back. I have absolutely zero reason to not hate someone who despises me and people like me. Regardless of their willingness to accept it, this hatred is present, and it's clear as day (shockingly, this comment isn't actually directed at anyone in this thread).
"Is it so hard? I dunno it just baffles me."
All you really have to do is just read a bunch of comments in this very thread and try to understand why I and others are, understandably, quite pissed off that the gay little bird thread got hijacked by a homophobe within literally 5 comments.

Yeah I mean thinking his post is complete garbage and stuff is fine with me, everyone's entitled to an opinion even if it's one that makes no sense, is dumb etc
I just don't think it's a good mindset to see someone's post and latch onto their characteristics and go "well you're this so opinion discarded".
I wouldn't do it to anyone and I wouldn't like it done to me yk?
No ill will intended here btw i just think it's a little uncalled for. Should people be judged based on what they say or characteristics they can't control? I think the answer is obvious.
And I won't do that, usually. I like to reply as much as I can, as I think I've proven when I replied to them. But I also cannot and will not blame anyone who doesn't want to do that, because even I'm getting sick and tired of having to explain to people that I have no reason to be tolerant and accepting towards people who hate my existence, when the people telling me to be tolerant and accepting have no idea what it's like.
To use a personal example, I've recently discovered that my older brother will, behind my back, call me the f slur. Every single time he refers to me, it's "The f-slur". Except he doesn't say f-slur, he says the real word. I naturally know of straight people who have been bullied and abused by siblings, but not of straight people who are constantly and continuously called slurs behind their backs by them, and yet are completely expected to be tolerant and accepting back. In fact, if this example were just regular bullying, everyone would happily say that I have every reason to hate him, and yet because it's surrounding sexuality I'm meant to be the bigger person?
No ######### thank you.
So, no. I can't blame anyone within the LGBT+ community for not wanting to read what another person who had absolutely zero idea on any of the struggled a queer person faces on the daily has to say about what we should and shouldn't do.

I think it's because a straight man will never truly understand the struggles of a queer man, no matter how empathetic they can be, and so them speaking to an LGBT+ person on why it's actually okay to accept people who hate their existence (and using the gay friend line didn't help you there, I am very sorry to say) just doesn't come across as great. I've been talking about this for a long time on the forums. I know its not a popular opinion but its one I do feel strongly about in that DBD and gaming in general is filled with people from all walks of life and something like a pride charm, while possibly being a good thing for the lgbt community, can be divisive for others. Whatever the reasons may be, be them right or wrong in the eyes of the individual, the fact remains divisions are caused when things like this enter gaming. That is why I think its always good to talk about this so that one day we can hopefully find a peaceful solution to all of this.
The peaceful solution is that they all leave and suddenly we don't have to deal with bigots like yourself anymore.

I'm just gonna leave this here, but remember that people with tunnelvisioned, backwards perspectives and opinions are still people and deserve the same tolerance than those more akin to our own opinions.
While I'm a fairly conventional straight male, I don't have a problem with the LGBT community (actually my bestest friend is a homosexual) and I'm generally supportive of social advancements towards representation, yet I see absolutely nothing wrong with what katemain is saying.
You make accusations of being "close to showing one's true colors", you are being intolerant and discriminatory.
Fighting fire with ice only leads to the antagonization of everyone, never to acceptance.
And I'm sorry if my saying this rubs you the wrong way.
I'm just gonna leave this here, but remember that people with tunnelvisioned, backwards perspectives and opinions are still people and deserve the same tolerance than those more akin to our own opinions.
The problem with tolerance. Why should we be tolerant to someone who is actively intolerant of ourselves? We shouldn't, is the reason, and through comments on both these Forums and their Twitter account it's very plain to see they are intolerant.
While I'm a fairly conventional straight male, I don't have a problem with the LGBT community (actually my bestest friend is a homosexual) and I'm generally supportive of social advancements towards representation, yet I see absolutely nothing wrong with what katemain is saying.
So, you don't see a problem with someone saying "I'm glad this [pride related] charm is optional" because 'I see the pride charms used every game, and I would like the option to toggle charms all off because I don't want to see them', to the point where they admitted to using the Forums to complain instead of playing games with them in because they don't want to see them?
If you genuinely see no problems with that, then I cannot help you.
You make accusations of being "close to showing one's true colors", you are being intolerant and discriminatory.
And agian I ask, why should I be tolerant with someone I have tried to educate, but they do not want to learn, and have continued to be intolerant over LGBT+ identities? I shouldn't, is the answer- I have tried before, as have several others, to help them understand the importance of LGBT+ representation in media and they have continued to spout bigoted nonsence.
Fighting fire with ice only leads to the antagonization of everyone, never to acceptance.
And you know what, good. Because I'd rather never be accepted than live in a world where I have to voluntarily accept someone for hating my identity, who I am, and who I love. I would much rather never be accepted within mainstream society than have to accept others who acitvely seek to harm me and people like me through their passive day-to-day actions, which they don't believe have a harmful effect, but absolutely can.
