I think it's a Wendigo, just not... The Until Dawn Wendigo. Sony and PS4 are infamously very, very protective of of their property. Besides, I just don't see BHVR adding a killer from a PS4 exclusive game. It'd be cool though
1) konami isn't exactly known for being lenient with their IPs and they got Silent Hill so... there's that.
2) Left4Dead is a PC exclusive game and they managed that very early on so I don't see platform limitations being an issue.

i can't screenshot the store to show you can get it because i already bought it but it's definitely in there, because i bought it from there.

If you don't want to report people then don't, just because you have the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn't mean that that's something to aspire to or that everyone must follow your example.
Please tell me that quote is from Harry Potter, from Hermione to Ron.

And you didn't question my wording. You immediately attacked me for saying it.
You're right, I didn't question your wording, because it was just downright wrong. Wrong there as in incorrect. If it was an issue with misinterpretation, I apologise, but the issues of mental health are a pretty touchy subject for me so I can get defensive rather quickly about it all.
Again, if it was an issue of miscommunication then I'm sorry.

Yes. Because twisting someones comment to make them feel ashamed and singled out isn't at all bullying 🙄
That isn't what I did though? I took issue with your wording and then contested that wording.
And if you want me to really be pedantic, bullying is actually defined as "constant, targeted nastiness from one person or a group of people to another person or group of people" so even if it was my intention to do what you're suggesting, it actually still isn't bullying by definition.

Nurse's Fluid Nightingale skin made a guest appearance recently so it can be inferred that the others will be joining her in the store. Furthermore the devs confirmed on a recent qna from home that they plan to release the rest of tome 1 to the store too.

-
The only, and I mean only, thing I could think of is if you're using a HDD, then you may need to defrag it to help it run quicker. Asides from that go to the Optimisation section of these forums and post what you can about your issues in as much detail as possible, including your specs. Devs read there frequently even if they don't respond, so you'll either get an answer to your issue or they'll be able to work on and fix said issue in a later update.

I don't see why you'd want to hide all game anyway because there are more rewards and points available for having chases. Or maybe they all earn their boldness points for cleansing totems...
@meatisadelicacy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1731830#Comment_1731830
I don't know why they'd want to hide the whole game either but they do. People see a win as a win, even if they only get 9,000 BP. I'd personally never go to a haunted house and then sit in the parking lot because I was too petrified to move, but that's Blendettes for ya.
Here's my reasoning for it, then. I just simply find out-maneuvering the killer and hiding more rewarding and fun than being chased. Sure, getting a window tech, dumb tech, and several stuns is satisfying, and hearing 3 gens pop as you're on the hook is amazing, but to me it's even funnier watching a killer walk past me several times, only to realise where I am and I'll either sprint away to a loop, or hit them with head on. Either works.
I might be in the minority here when I say that I'm also able to loop pretty well. I know many people who lmuse stealth aren't good in chases, but I'd like to think I can at least hold my own most of the time. So it's not just that I'm bad at being chased so I rely on stealth, it's that I find stealth a lot more fun.
It's just personal preference, is all.

Yeah I’m really curious about what kind of punishment people get for chat harassment. I’ve had several people call me all kinds of horrible, hateful slurs lately and it’s frustrating that you never know if the devs even read the report, nevermind if they did anything about it.
Afaik the escalation involves a warning (or several, I'm not sure), then temp bans of like, a day, several days, a week, 2 weeks, a month, then a permanent one.
Edit: please bear in mind that I am not a developer or a moderator and I do not have confirmation on the exact escalation system, so please take these values with several mountains of salt and maybe a touch of crack.
-
@Freddy96 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1732041#Comment_1732041
Homophobic, racial, and death/######### offences in a single chat should result in an automatic permaban imho but devs are the one that decides.
I agree, without a doubt, however chat offences follow an escalation system because, as heinous as things are, people can slip up and make mistakes when provoked, or just incredibly angry in the first place. Therefore I also don't mind the system they currently have; it ensures people who make mistakes learn from those mistakes, and people who do it knowingly or don't learn from their mistakes are dealt with.
-
In addition to what's been said on this thread, you won't know if action has or hasn't been taken in this case cue to the nature of the punishments. You don't know if someone receives a temporary, or even permanent, ban through chat violations (in-game ones, I mean) because they occur within the game itself and prevent you getting past the loading screen. This is different than VAC bans, or EAC bans, which enable you to open the game and perform all offline functions but make creating lobbies or entering queue times impossible, and these bans are displayed proudly on the offender's profile.

Its not necessary to have a toxic rating system. You could just use the positive rating system which would encourage people who are choosing to play in toxic ways to play differntly so they can get the badges and associated perks. I didn't list any core perk ideas for killer but if i spent a while I could name some. In this way, you wouldn't need the toxic rating system at all.
Despite that, toxicity DOES exist in this game. The argument that some people might misconstrue toxicity is indeed valid, but then it comes down to how the rating system itself would work. Presently, if you report someone for hacking in dbd, behavior doesn't just drop everything and investigate your report. They honestly couldn't care less about it.. but why? Its because most times, hacking reports are just misconstrued, where a person might feel that another player dodged an attack that should have hit, or they vaulted a pallet a bit fast, or there was a visual glitch and they appeared to move odd or they found a way to run onto a rock, etc. So what behavior does is require a minimum number of reports, CONSISTENTLY, to respond to a hacker. If a person gets 1 report in 10 games for hacking, its probably just an error, but 8 reports out of 10 matches, you have something there to investigate.
Similarly, a toxic rating system would take into account the percentage of false-reporters. You would have a system somewhere along the lines of - if more than 50% of survivors rate you toxic in 3 out of every 5 games, or 6 out of 10, or 9/15 12/20 15/25 then you would accrue a hidden value of toxic rating. Now, getting a few points of toxic rating doesn't immediately label you toxic, it has to be CONSISTENT. These points would degrade over time as well, where if you go 10 games without reports, it would just fall off the record, but if it was consistently rated and slowly ramped up to a certain value (we'll call that, X), then BAM you get hit with a notification when you log in to play the game. "You have recieved a significant number of toxic ratings. Please try to play fair!" and then if the trend continues, you get the toxic core perk applied for 3 games. So on and so forth.
Now you could also say, well, this number is also sketchy, make it 4 out of 5 games or 8/10, 12/15, 16/20 then okay we can try that out and see if it works out.
But I don't see that this system is wrong. If a killer is being toxic.. who else can blow the whistle to identify it? It HAS to be the people who were in the match. No one else was there to see it. And theres no better people to report toxicity than the victims of toxicity. We can adjust how that data is interpreted, but the core system of "see toxicity, speak up" is not inherently flawed, its how the data is processed and how action is taken.
Your point about BHVRs reports is wrong as well. They require an additional support ticket sent to DBD support, with sufficient video or photo evidence supplied, before action is taken in a report. The one exception to this being chat reports, as they have the chat logs saved.

Personally im for the idea of having a hard cap on the amount of slowdown and having slowdown perks go wild. Hard cap of 40% but Thana is 10% per stack? Dying light gives you like 5% per token, etc.
-
Blight is an incredibly strong killer rn, and honestly doesn't need any buffs. The only thing I could ask to be fixed is his camera, which the devs have already confirmed they'll work on. Buffing the Blight isn't needed; he is very, very good right now.

I was kinda on board with this idea (I'm not exactly a fan but it's not the worst thing I've heard) until I read the part about being able to rate people as toxic and you losing Bloodpoints over this.
If you think the dbd player base won't abuse the ######### out of this, you're sorely mistaken.
I've been called toxic for tunneling someone when they were the first hooked, and killed themselves on first hook. I've been called toxic for facecamping whilst I'm literally hooking someone on the other side of the map. I've been called toxic because I used purple Windstorm on Wraith. I've been called toxic because I brought in a flashlight and didn't use it, because I had a medkit, or a toolbox, or because I played Claudette. I try my absolute best to be wholesome, and there are so many more matches where nothing has been said, or even I've been complimented, but holy ######### this community is arse and can and will abuse the ######### out of this because of something they personally dislike.
Looping? Toxic. Stealth? Toxic. Saving a teammate? Toxic. Doing a gen? Toxic. Using Dead Hard? Toxic. Hooking a survivor? Toxic. Kicking a gen? Toxic. Slugging a survivor? Toxic. Camping a hook? Toxic. Leaving the area? Toxic.
-
She has the best prestige cosmetics and a smaller character model. If David was covered in as much blood as Claudie is, I'd play P3 David a lot more. I, however, also do run Blendweet and Blenjane because their prestiges are pretty dark.
So why is it racist? The game has characters of colour, why wouldn't you play them? Wouldn't it be more racist to not play the character just because they're black?

Killer overall: 8/10
Imo im a 7/10 Nurse, 9/10 Freddy, and 9/10 Pyramid Head, but then also like a 2/10 Doc and a 6/10 Wraith.

Imo when I'm using my proper usual build I could honestly hit 9/10 but a combination of ######### around, wanting Beamer saves, and the fact that I don't play solo and in swf we literally do nothing but make mistakes over and over (and me and Claudio can and will sit there screaming at the killer that the volume inside of this bus is astronomical) means that I usually play like absolute ######### lol.

It's a stupidly overpowered perk.
It should do what it does without the BP increase. Because even if you're against survivors that know how to counter it, you still get the insane BP generation. There's no downside to running it.
But there shouldn't be a downside to running perks like that? There's no downside to WGLF, Alert, or Mindbraker, are those perks suddenly too strong because the killer/survivor can't do anything to counter them? Is Dark Sense too strong because there's no downside to using the perk?

According to this article on dbd support:
The DBD team just float around on Twitch and if they think you're streaming to a dedicated enough playerbase they'll send you a code. There's no current way to apply for one, though.
