I'll take donkeys as well. Have one tattooed on me cuz I luff them so much ❤️❤️

Donkeys + Highland moo moos for me. And Samoyed puppers. I love them all

  • I don't have any pics of my hamster because she likes to eat my hair so my face would be in them and, uh, yeah. Not subjecting you all to that torture.

So instead here's a Mexican Donkey called Charlie in a hammock

From what I read in the post, the streamer seemed to be complaining about OP being afk before OP told them the context of why he was afk.

A lot of people go afk for no serious reason. Cant really expect people to know the reasoning someone goes afk.

"I went into her chat to explain that I was AFK because my dog was choking and I had to tend to him and she says that it wasn’t her problem and she then thanked me for ruining her last match of the day and said people like me are what’s wrong with the community. She then blocked me before I could say anything else. "

    Paragraph 3 of 4, OP's post.

"Are in line for a rework" Something I've been hearing for years and nothing has come of it. But Don't worry, Mori's have been nerfed twice in that time and are now worthless. And I doubt the keys will be nerfed to such an effect. Ohh, and they added infinites back in, but now you have breakable walls so you can remove it. You know, after a 3 second animation and one free loop on the survivors part.

And I literally despise the breakable walls.

Moris are no longer useless unless you play PH.

But sure because I don't complain about every single issue in the game in every single post I make I clearly just don't don't care about killer-

    My Ideas to 'buff solo':

    1. Survivors can view each others perks and item loads outs in the lobby, so they know the capabilities of their team mates.
    2. Survivors can press a button to trigger a pre-set map-wide message, something like "Killer is here", "Coast is clear", "Help me", "Leave me". In addition, have this 'ping' in their direction so you know where the message is coming from. Maybe with a 30s cooldown.
    3. Make the 'Glass Bead' add-on a default mechanic of all maps.
    4. Make something 'like' Kindred/Empathy/Bond (but not as powerful) a basekit feature. Perhaps you can hold down a button to trigger 'Survivor Instinct' which gives you a general direction that each survivor is in via the 'heartbeat' graphic of Killer Instinct. Give it a cooldown obviously. This wouldn't be an aura so not technically as strong as Kindred etc.

Once solos are closer to SWFs in terms of communication tools, then we'll see that it's survivor sided, and nerf gen speeds or whatever.

oh my god looking at those ideas almost made me drool id kill to have those in the game.

stick in a totem counter at basekit too and id be the 3rd happiest ive ever been in my life

  • comparing a gamemode to a nigh-incurable disease that's taken the lives of millions and left their loved ones, friends and families lost and alone what a great impression to make in your first 10 posts!

I really like the ideas comming from this post, but the question remains, are the devs listening? and do they want the game to improve?

Because, this is not a new game and these are not new complains either, so how can we get the confirmation that the developers/leaders are listening to the community and will change the game, or at least try?

but the question remains, are the devs listening? and do they want the game to improve?

If the most recent changes to Open Handed + Small Game (mostly small game tbh) are anything to go by, not at all.

  • hi yes can i interest you in the concept of looping?

    also, having eyes?

  • not who you asked but heres a small, very basically thought of list of ideas i came up with in a different thread:

    "

    • Totems are now significantly better hidden and a darker colour.
    • There are now 7 totems on any map.
    • Totems now take 16 seconds to cleanse.
    • Generators must be connected to an Exit Switch before being able to be powered on. This can be done through tapping the Repair button to grab a wire, before going to a gate and pressing the same button. Performing any actions other than slowly vaulting a window will cause the wire to drop to the ground and begin to retract to the generator at a speed of 0.25m/s.
    • Generator regression has been buffed to 0.5c/s.
    • Damaging a generator automatically removes 5% of it's progress. Pop Goes The Weasel's effect has been changed to add an extra 20% to this for the first generator damaged within 35/40/45 seconds of a hook.
    • A hex totem is not revealed to be a dull totem until at least two survivors are afflicted with the Cursed status effect. Cleansing the relevant totem before it's revealed to be a hex totem will still cause the hex perk to be destroyed.
    • Hex perks now have passive effects, active whenever the hex totem has been destroyed. These are weaker than the usual effects of the perk (ie. Hex: Ruin regresses gens at 50/75/100% regression). This passive effect is removed whenever 5 or more totems have been cleansed.
    • Killers who have poorer movement capabilities (Trapper, Twins, Trickster, Slinger, Pyramid Head, Clown) now have an ability to increase their movement capabilities slightly.
    • Killers who have a poorer capability in a chase (Trapper, Myers, Pig, Legion) are buffed to be better in a chase.

These are the ones that spring to mind within, like, a minute of thinking. Obviously they'd need more thinking through, and not all of them would make it into the game.

    "

  • oh no, lots of unsafe pallets you dont have to break and can play around where the only killers who suffer on that map are pyramid head and blight... how tragic...

  • @Quake said:

I don't know how experienced u are in the game but HELL NO,GOOD solo players DONT NEED SWF levels of info to make decisions and take actions accordingly.

GOOD players know exactly what to do at what moment.PERIOD.

GOOD players know how to run a killer around for a while and make him waste as much time as possible for others to do gens.PERIOD.

that's just factually incorrect to an almost embarassing degree but let's pretend you're right.

put those "good" players into a swf, allow them to coordinate. they can do so, so much better it's not even fair. because that's the thing, it's not fair. it's not balanced. it's nowhere near balanced.

and that's what i want in this game, a balanced experience. having swf and solos be so far apart in power keeps it from being balanced.

so, solo buffs. that impact swf not at all. in the same patch, killer buffs. lots and lots of them. everyone is happy because the game is in a better, healthier state.

i've been informed not to lose my temper and get too aggressive again in this thread, so i'm trying my best here. you're not making it easy when you apply less logic than is possible to the plot of macbeth when you're actually reading hamlet in reverse.

  • Simple fix to it: make her actually have a reliable, consistent tell when she's phasing that triggers inside the terror radius that you can easily see/hear that works across all of her skins and isn't the result of a bug.

    This rules out:

    • Shards glowing ("across all of her skins")
    • Animation resets ("reliable, consistent"/"isn't the result of a bug")
    • Phasing noise in terror radius ("isn't the result of a bug")
    • Passive groaning noise when phasing ("isn't the result of a bug")

Give her a very specific animation that activates when she's phasing and remains active until she finishes her phase. One different to the rest of her animations.

If you still want to stand still, you can. You'll just have to phase whilst doing so.

It's nowhere near a perfect fix and probably needs some more ruling out but it doesn't seem too completely flawed.

saloon is my least favourite map in the game, for both sides, full stop. haddonfield ranks a very, very close second and badham a close third. but after a game of haddonfield, i can keep going. badham may make me dc out of pure rage at the bullshit but in other times the games can even be almost enjoyable. saloon is just... not it. it's boring. it's dull. i hate haddonfield and badham and any corn map really but they at least let me feel something, even if it's just rage. saloon is rage whenever im pyramid head and nothing whenever im anyone else.

  • Saloon. Definitely Saloon.

  • when EGC was implemented and time and time after that, BHVR have said that the EGC isn't meant to add extra lethality. It's sole purpose is to end the game. Whether the rest of the game is lethal or not is up for debate but the EGC should not add any extra lethality without ample time for the survivors to escape- which is exactly what it does.

Killers are a joke at EGC without noed.

They get tbagged at the exit gate.

If you have anyone hooked their friends will just BT, DS hook juggle and all escape while you do nothing about it but watch them leave and tbag you.

killers need to be actually threatening during EGC, not a joke.

and if NOED is that much of a problem then just leave why you sticking around?

EGC isn't meant to make the killer scarier. It isn't meant to be lethal. It's in the game for once purpose and one purpose only- to ensure the game ends. It does that and it does that flawlessly.

found the entitled survivor main who thinks that playing killers for dailies makes him killer main.

All buffs solo needs is making perks like small game basekit. Not nerfing killers or killer perks.

Nerfing noed would simply make SWF even worse to deal with which in the end won't result in anything better. I'm perplexed how you can't grasp it.

    "solos need a buff"

It's hilarious how you keep acting so self-righteous as if you proved anything, despite the fact that I disapproved all your so called arguments.

I've literally never said to nerf NOED in this thread, nor before, so you're not disproving my arguments at all. In fact, in a thread I made about NOED in April of 2020, which you can find here, I stated that it just highlighted the issues between solo and SWF and that I'd much rather the perk remain as-is and solos get a totem counter than the perk itself be nerfed. I also supplied different very basic reworks the perk could have, and pointed out the many flaws in each one, stating that a totem counter is the best case scenario out of them all. My view on this has not changed.

So, yeah, not really disproving me at all.

  • yeah, still would be possible and could be done in a mostly fun, interactive, god-please-dont-make-me-hold-m1-on-a-gen-for-longer way.

I guess you're just using solo q as an excuse to justify any complaints against killer things "nerf x because poor solo potatoes can't deal with them".

As for noed, I`ll repeat the same thing - if you or anybody else is having so terrible time against noed and doesn't have friends to play with, then you either take anti-totem perks and do the WHOLE job yourself (because it should be an axiom to you in solo q that nobody else but you is doing anything) or you just FORGET about totems, rush gens and LEAVE, abandoning everyone else who's less fortunate than you (or find a hexed totem, but I guess that's never an option because you risk dying which isn't fun).

no, im doing the opposite. im complaing about killing things as proof that solos need a buff.

try again, you keep missing me and its kinda hilarious to watch

There's another possibility, which is basically the same at the end. I think it would be easier for killers to accept if, if it was put this way: nerf survivors generally (solo and SWF) and then buff solo, to make sure that kill rates are around 50% for all survivors (solo and SWF).

Same result, so, go for it.

I understand the point of the posts. And they're horrible and very situational. And don't warrant a NOED change. No clue what for groups you're running in. Mine never have issues with NOED and clearing bones and doing gens. But we don't go down like sacks of potatoes 🤷

neither do I. My chases usually last a long-ass time, unless the killer is a Trapper, great Nurse, or Spirit. My feet are trap magnets and I will disarm every single one using my feet, a great Nurse is really hard to escape in a chase but it's okay because I have stealth on my side, and a Spirit is a Spirit. Doesn't change the fact that if nobody does a generator you could get chased for 10 minutes and nothing would happen.

Solos are weaker than SWFs, not denying that. But, that's not what I was arguing. You were originally arguing that everything should be buffed around SWFs because they're so strong. However, solos can play just as well as SWFs if the solos play well. By buffing solo queue you're just making it so when the actual good solos play the game, they get even more of an advantage over the killer. If you are losing games as solo queue, it's because you didn't play good enough or your team was not good enough. Stop acting like it is impossible to win as a solo player, it's not. I have won countless times as a solo in all ranks. So could you stop acting like a massive dickwad for one second, and actually think about what you're saying. Your ego has apparently taken over your entire mind that you won't even consider a reasonable argument.

It's not entirely impossible to win as solos, I'm not denying that. I'm saying that it's significantly more difficult to do so which shouldn't be the case. please point me to where i said that.

By buffing solo queue you're just making it so when the actual good solos play the game, they get even more of an advantage over the killer.

See, this is where the other part of the argument comes into play, which you've chosen to ignore. You buff killers, and killer mechanics, to compensate for this newfound strength of the survivors across the board.

So could you stop acting like a massive dickwad for one second, and actually think about what you're saying. Your ego has apparently taken over your entire mind that you won't even consider a reasonable argument.

Ah, resorting to insults (against forum rules, by the way)- why am I genuinely not surprised?

My ego hasn't taken over my mind and I'll quite happily listen to counter arguments when given ones that both address my point and make a modicum of logical sense. As yours do neither, I see no reason to continue this conversation.

Have a good day, please DNI in future. Thanks for your time.

back up where? in whining about noed? this perk has more counterpicks & counterplays than all survivor meta perks combined. If you, him or anyone else are incapable of using these counters, it is their problem.

Not to mention that devs are adding even more perks to help FINDING (which shouldn't be a problem for good players you guys claim to be) and destroying ALL totems.

Saying noed is problematic because in one of 100 games many coincidental things happen and you won't have any chance to deal with it is the same kind of argument as 4 man tournament SWF.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2124731#Comment_2124731

"1,9k hours" let's assume you played at least half of that time as killer which gives us 950+ hours of killer experience.

You know that you should be 3-4king almost every match with that amount of experience unless you deal with rare top survivors? It's pretty expected to win against most survivors, especially when you are playing noobstomper clown and 3rd strongest killer in the game.

no in being a killer main.

Not to mention that devs are adding even more perks to help FINDING (which shouldn't be a problem for good players you guys claim to be) and destroying ALL totems.

Solos shouldn't have to use perks, items, or add-ons to get information SWF players get for free. I've said that so much that my phone automatically types it but nobody around here ######### listens (or reads), apparently. Mother nature gave you some eyes, use them.

  • @Bromation said:

Please tell me how? I think we both know it's accurate, but you don't want to even think about a reasonable argument due to your tunnel vision mindset.

    Very well.

"It's a matchmaking issue-" No. No it isn't.

It's not a matchmaking issue when solos are inherently weaker than SWF players, and are forced to use perks to get information they get for free.

It's not a matchmaking issue when you cannot coordinate.

It's not a matchmaking issue when information is genuinely not available for you to make decisions on.

Solos are weaker than SWF ever will be. Full stop. Solos are the weakest role in the game, exacerbated by the poor matchmaking system. Killers have significantly easier games vs solo players. These are just objective facts.

That's not a matchmaking issue. That's not an issue with one player being slightly worse and the rest of the team not being able to make up for it, that's a genuine issue with the actual, physical game design of DBD. It has been since the inception and will continue to be so until the devs finally, finally change something.

Solo survivors shouldn't have to use perks, items, or add-ons for information that SWF players get for free. The fact that they don't get this information isn't a matchmaking issue. It isn't an issue with a player being worse. It isn't an issue where the killer was just amazing. It's an issue with the core game mechanics.

So, that's how. Your statement wasn't accurate in the slightest- in fact it missed the mark by a continent. Try again.

You realize there's 3 other players right...? You're not doing 5 of anything on your own. And if your complaint is you can't rely on your partners. You should probably find some folks to run with instead of relying on randoms. Because that's a group problem. Not a design problem

2 other players, 1 is being facecamped.

and i have friends i play with, its the only time i ever play survivor anymore. there's kakashi, finn, and turbo when we team up. there's demon, sloppy, wijusa. there's boba, jackie, and jyn, the wholesome buddies who still manage to win. solves none of the problems.

1 … 264 265 266 267 268 … 416
