I’m a killer main. The reason I’m a killer main is because soloQ sucks.
I fully agree that the biggest threat to survivors isn’t the killer.. . . It’s the worthless teammates.
unironically same the only reason i main killer is because survivor is unbearable to play lmao
-
Oh yeah I've also played with @Phasmamain vs a tunneling Blight on the Game and facing their freddy where they gave me the gate

Going from my experience in the general community, it's equal. There's a vocal minority on both sides that act like entitled petulent children.
Going from my experience on purely these forums, killers, by a large margin.
Going from my experience on nothing but Twitter, survivors.

Only your wall, or someone else's. No special place to link it.

Its still a power of the killer, if survivors could play around the power easily it wouldnt be a power of the killer.
Just make stidor not work when spirit is in her power and that's it.
With your first statement, Spirit cranks this up to 11, which is the issue. She's the exact opposite of the spectrum where you cannot get around her power mechanically, at all, if you are not using Iron Will and Spine Chill and maybe a flashlight.
The only real form of counterplay vs a spirit is conditioning but when you have 4 chases total to condition someone to your action while they can track your every movement due to sound and you're just making guesses even that is nigh-impossible.
-
I like to think of myself as an okay-is hag player but yeah she needs something to stop the camp. She's a better facecamper than Bubba bevause she's able to pressure the rest of the map while also camping a survivor. It's pretty stupid

The PFG David thing seems vaguely familiar. I may have played against you but I'm not sure. Are you on European servers? If not then it was probably someone else. I think I once had @GeneralV in my lobby when I was Killer but he left the lobby for whatever reason, lol.
I am indeed pm EU servers - but it would've only been [PFG] David that was me. Some friends picked up on it too so there may be more [PFG] than just me + my bf running around now too

I remember a couple of days ago a [something] David and a [something] Dwight in my lobby, but my internet crashed (not even sure if you entered loading screen or if it just looked as if i left). Anyway, if that so, we almost got matched against each others then
That probably wasn't us because we've only changed to [PFG] literally today but yeah it's [PFG] David and Dwight lol.
Also if your name in game is also nursewannabe I think I've faced you before- I was killer, literally playing Nurse, and you were a bald Dweet in a red shirt.

The killer is unable to kick it therefore it does not trigger. Someone would need to tap it first.
Those two perks and Ruin counter blast mine.
Don't forget Eruption (new Nemesis perk) provided you kicked the gen before the Mine was applied.

I will admit I still am curious as to what happens if a generator with blast mine gets damaged by a perk like surge or opression.
I'm assuming nothing. The killer didn't perform the regression action, only began the regression using a perk, so like Overcharge wouldn't trigger I assume Blast Mine also wouldn't.
-
Uh, Sluzzy, idk how to tell you this but uh... That's how the perk already works.

I've played against @ReverseVelocity a couple of times, but the time I remember vividly they were playing Frank's Mixtape and even though I got hatch I was getting so many flashbacks to old Legion that I think I needed therapy after.
(btw if you've ever faced "I'm Karu :)", "Pope of the Donkerydoo", or "[PFG] David" that'd be me. What does PFG stand for? Well my bf wants it to be Pride Flag Gang but in going for Pretty ######### Gay)

You went all in on this one didn't ya.
This is by far the most detailed one i've seen and I won't lie as a professional stupid I don't know what it means or how well it'd change my friend with the triangle head. So if this is not a joke to make fun of me and my fellow graduates from Stupid University please tell me what it means.
Okay so:
Length of POTD increased by 2.5m (up to 10.5m)
This is how far it reaches- effectively this makes the green and yellow range add-ons basekit. Makes it more versatile as you can hit more.
Travel speed of POTD increased to one segment every 0.022s (down from 0.033s)
So this would effect how quickly the power travels- as I'm sure you've seen his power moves in small segments, instead of one at a time. This would make his power move a lot quicker, so harder to dodge.
Width of POTD increased to 2.5m
Makes his power thiccer, harder to dodge.
Cages of Atonement now count as hooks
Kinda a 50/50. You'd get BBQ and PGTW from caging, but survivors would also get DS. So while you can't tunnel out of a cage, you still bypass the pickup process and still technically can tunnel off hook.

The Executioner

Mettle of Mither for the win! Though by fully deactivating, do you mean that this MoM would only activate once or the broken and exhaustion is gone while you don't have the endurance?
Okay so the way MOM works rn is you take 3 protection hits to activate the perk, get the endurance and tank a free hit, then the next time you go down MOM deactivates and you're able to Re-gain your 3 protection hits to Re-activate the perk.
I suggested changing the "when you go down" to "when you get hooked". After you've been hooked broken and Exhaustion both fly away

Well, I'm committed to this issue.
What do you recommend I do from here? This is kind of similar to what EA and Respawn have done with the original Titanfall. The game is BARELY playable but it is still being sold at full price.
all i can say is keep pushing with threads because there's nothing else to do, unless you're able to visit bhvr hq and personally say why the current state of last-gen console optimisation is unacceptable, and just hope the higher-ups listen :/

Even so, I'd like them to come out and say they can't because of higher-ups forbidding it.
At least then we'd know who to go and complain to next.
NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreement) prevent them doing that though. As part of their employment if the higher-ups don't want them saying something they cannot say anything about it, including the fact the higher-ups won't let them say anything. If the higher-ups will only let them say "We're working on it", all they can say is "We're working on it" or stay silent.

What do you consider powerful in this regard? It is sourced from Survivor, so how powerful can it be?
Honestly it'd have to be as powerful as things like Unbreakable or Dead Hard, because if it isn't as powerful as the meta there's no reason to use a perk you may not even get the chance of activating.
-
@[Deleted User] said:

Yo, so what do you think they could be? What would you hope for?
To go through the wording on-stream, the purpose is to give survivors "More interaction with dull totems".
So, I'm thinking it will be a perk activatable by a survivor going to a dull totem and converting it into a boon totem that's linked to their perk (probably won't be able to be disabled by killers). It's a risk/reward maneuver, as the killer taking hex perks reduces available dull totems and thus reduces how many boon perks could be active in one trial, and you also run the risk of your teammates also taking boon totems so you could not get to activate your perk in time.
It'd be pretty good for the game as these perks would incentivise not doing generators to get the effects, however because of this they'd also have to be pretty damn powerful.

How is me asking a direct question with zero passive aggressive comments, name calling or sarcasm make you think I might be blaming her specifically for any lack of response to this thread to the point you need to make a post about it? Mandy is the moderator that posted on this thread stating she would try to find out more information, and since I can't @ a community manager on this without it getting stealth edited out of my post, is the only person it seems we can ask for a response from. It has been a while since she has stated she would try to find out more information and if you don't ask for it, you might not get it. I am not mad at anyone or wish any personal ill-will towards any member of the Dead by Daylight team.
I also don't know why everyone feels they need to share how business works with everyone else. I am an engineer that has worked for two large employers and am fully aware of how much politics there is around public relations. I shouldn't have to tell people this for them to give me the benefit of the doubt, especially when I am not specifically finger pointing at someone.
That said, that doesn't mean I do not have the right to be frustrated about their lack of transparency and make posts pointing out it can be better.

Because I know what many people on these forums are like, and many in the community too, hence why I was making sure.
Basic reading comprehension will take you far.

Because a lot of people aren't and many people don't know how this works, rather surprisingly. Even if I know you know how they work having a basic explanation in there is helpful to other people outside of the conversation because these are public discussion forums.

Apparently the rarest one I have is Trickster Adept, beaten only by Multi-taking.
But the hardest achievement is Skilled Huntress and I don't even have it yet- I never play her and I cannot stand playing her, let alone getting downs from over 20m. Hardest one I have is Twins' adept, because I got it while it was bugged.

Doesn't matter if i got the 4k it's still not ok for 3 gens to pop in the first minute of the game. I had to 1 hook slug them all after 2 of them made crucial mistakes."it's ok if survivors have bnps because if you somehow get lucky enough to kill them that makes them balanced" thats what i get from people like you.
"Doesn't matter if i got the 4k it's still not ok for 3 gens to pop in the first minute of the game"
But- but that's what's meant to happen?
As a killer you have no map pressure at the start of the game, yeah? Leaving 4 survivors to split up on generators. By the time you find, chase, and down someone, all of which could occur during the first minute, those 3 other survivors will have done a generator using the toolboxes you saw them load into the game with. That's just how dbd works, because after the initial hook is when you build pressure, snowball, and eventually hit the Pressure Point of No Return®.
"I had to 1 hook slug them all after 2 of them made crucial mistakes."
Which is what you're meant to do as killer??!! Capitalise on a mistake, a chink in the armour, to snowball to high hell and win the game from there. Take advantage of one, small mistake and use that momentum to swing to victory. That's literally how killer is played what do you mean?!
""it's ok if survivors have bnps because if you somehow get lucky enough to kill them that makes them balanced" thats what i get from people like you."
Okay firstly, 'People like you' that certainly could've been worded substantially better. And secondly yes actually, you still got the 4k from it, which isn't meant to be balance. So it's actually proving that it's underpowered and BNPs need a buff.
Like I said there were many Screenshots you could've used to show your point and this was not it. This ends up proving the opposite, which is ironic like I said in my original post.
-
I mean, yeah it was probably unfun as hell, but you still got a 4k. Despite the stacked toolboxes and maybe a farm map? Idk that or Macmillan, but you still for a 4k.
So, ironically, this shows that even when survivors bring really strong things they still lose, and is (also ironically) actually supporting the notion of killer nerfs.
There are a lot of games or Screenshots you could've used to show "killer isn't as great as it could be can we nerf some of the things survivors have" but this wasn't it.

I hate Blendies with a passion. They deserve to get facecamped and tunneled every game.
Unless they don't abuse stealth to genrush. Those guys are fine.
And how would you know someone is going to "abuse stealth" and not just play normally? People who play P3 Claudette aren't always Blendies and if you sandbag every single one then you're doing nothing but making yourself look like an ass.

Wow.
That's like you saying someone has taken a multi-purpose tool for the explicit purpose of using it as a screwdriver but when the opportunity arises to use it in a different way they take it.
Of course they're going to use the aura reading but that isn't the main purpose of the perk for a lot of people. The reason people use BBQ on Hag or Trapper or PH is literally for points because perks like Thrilling are just better on them.

Hello son, the information overload is the wrong direction. Because it also buffs SWF.
A better approach would be to give the game inbuilt voice chat and balance around it.
Hello again dad.
I don't see how a basekit totem counter would buff swf, when they can already tell the other people in their squad "Shack totem cleansed"/"I did one by the Jungle Gym at Main Building"/"One's done by the water tower"/"Killer is chasing me through an L-T wall near the middle, there's a hex here" etc.
I don't see how giving aura reading (again with reworked blindness) would buff SWFs when they can just say where they are.
Also, in-built voice chat is really anti-accessibility. Some people are mute, or voluntarily mute, some don't have mics (like me for the first 2 years playing this game), not everyone speaks the same language (and I know I don't wanna be the one solo in a squad of 3 Italians, for example- nothing against Italians I just don't speak your language), etc. After taking several steps to improve accessibility, like changing struggle and colourblind settings and the new wiggle changes we might see, it'd be a massive step backwards.
-
@Tsulan said:
I give you a better question:
Why can't killers see the wiggle progress bar? It's directly bound to the killers objective and several perks affect the progress.
Yet there is no visual indication on how much progress the survivor has left, before he breaks free.
Just be grateful that survivors get priority when it's about information related stuff and take small game if you want to know the exact amount.
Absolutely go for it and give killers more information, you can already guess how far along the bar is based on how long they've been on your shoulder (takes 12 seconds to wiggle). But do it to compensate for solos and 2/3man SWFs getting stronger with more information to match 4man SWFs.
