SurgeJoltRemove the cooldown, or remove the basic attack requirement. Have the range be the tierable number of 28m/30m/32m.

Yes. The bug that has been fixed. Directly contradicting your "they won't fix it" comment.

Then what is it about if it's literally a cosmetic on a character in a virtual imaginary world? It's not that deep.
It's about giving racists an obvious tool to be racist without it being technically bannable. If they say racist things in endgame chat, that's bannable. If they have a racist username, that's bannable. If they tunnel and facecamp the POC while wearing the blackface/yellowface cosmetic, and do it to no other survivors, then it's pretty obvious what's happening, however unless this is targeted across multiple games on the same people it isn't bannable.
And once again, a community manager has gone on record saying they're attempting negotiations for it to be removed, however it's ultimately up to the licence holders.

It's a murderer.... who tortures and skins all types of people.... and uses their faces.... on a imaginary world in a video game...
I get the whole, Leatherface isn't racist argument, but it ain't about the character and people should stop making it about the character.
Literally the second sentence.

Yes, and we will get new bugs and complex bugs not actually fixed. This seems like a bug that we'll absolutely get fixed.
Also for the record, please could you not refer to me at just Karu? It's related to something personal I really don't wanna explain but GBK is fine and is a lot more comfortable for me. I'm sorry for some inconvenience ❤️❤️

Is this game meant to be balanced?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2647266#Comment_2647266
1 whacking the other 4 who keep skittering and scurrying around, fearful that they may die? How do you balance such a game?
Balance is not the name of this game. 😎
Btw NOED pretty much helps balance gen-rushed game for a killer. It is a good and useful perk.
Well we can hope it will be and make suggestions to change it
-
I've thought it was bugged but I just wasn't the obsession. That definitely could be why

While I do understand where you're coming from, you can't blame killers for running noed to get them a bit of an advantage in the endgame when gens got slammed hard (and because the killer chose the wrong person to chase in your case). I see noed as one last attempt for the killer to save face from that round.
But if you have a competent team, the noed is gone in 30 seconds and you can get saved with BT (and if you run DS you got 2 chances to get away, with DH even 3).
Like I said, my issue comes more from how it feels than the strength. I'd prefer they being something that doesn't feel so... Cheap to deal with. It just doesn't feel good to face, and the fact that it is more effective vs solos than swf (just objectively it's better vs them due to being much more likely to activate) is the icing on top of the cake for my vehement dislike of the perk.
Probably not Tinkerer level of hatred but it's close. I really hate the perk because of how it feels but I completely accept that it does have counters (even if they're much more effective in a swf) and it isn't a good perk.
I don't blame the killer, I blame the perk for being outdated. And I blame myself for being so annoyed at the perk, too.
You said you saw where I was coming from initially so I hope that makes sense?
Edit: Oh also I hate DH so I never run it lmao ######### that perk
-
Honestly yeah, it's really frustrating to be chased for a long ass time, get the first solo team in years that can actually do gens, and as a reward for the killer committing to you for too long and losing due to it you get hit with NOED. It feels cheap, especially when you've played better, and you don't have time to go and search for the totem because you're in chase.
I wouldn't mind it so much if it didn't feel as cheap, and wasn't as much of a solo stomper. Honestly I'd prefer them bring something stronger (because let's face it, against competent survivors NOED gives you one extra kill and that's it) that feels better to face.
It's not overbearingly powerful, it's just annoying and unfun imho. And I'd rather them being something overbearingly powerful that at least feels better to me (a la Nurse) than NOED.

Or you could just cleanse that hex in 14 seconds and do the generator instead.... I don't know where people get the idea that you should bless a hex every time. There's five totem in the map lmao.
The point was that totems spawn near gens...

Not really, thats people having the wrong mindset that mmr is a rating of how good you are. It's not and it never was.
It's not an indication of how good you are but how good your opponents should be.
If you get kills with camping and noed you should start facing stronger survivors that can deal with those cheese tactics.
If you like hooking everybody twice but don't get kills you should start facing weaker survivors so you can play nice and get kills
If you did nothing and escaped you should face stronger killers who don't lose what's essentially a 3v1.
Where would the logic be that a person that does nothing and can escape keeps facing weaker and weaker killers? Why should a killer that can camp and get a 4k by one hooking everyone face weaker survivors?
The mindset of high mmr= good and low mmr = bad is flawed. But you can't blame people thinking that when they start calling it skill based matchmaking while it has nothing to with skill.
It's just an equaliser to the number of deaths and escapes. Nothing more, nothing less
Tbh when it's called skill based match making you'd think it'd be based on the skill of everyone
-
@Myla said:
Eh if it's a boon it means you have to actually find a totem or hope the Generator is inside the boon's range. Seems counter productive.
Tbf how many times do survivors spawn in, do a gen, then notice a totem right next to them and bam hex gone in 25 seconds.

It's a cool idea but nobody would run it as long as CoH and Exponential are a thing.

-
Honestly I wouldn't think so.
Most of my enjoyment from the game doesn't come from the horror anymore (especially since it isn't a horror game and hasn't been for years lmao) and a sudden return to that would be... Weird. And I don't think it'd be fun.
But if it's an option (I'd never use outside of challenges 🏃) then sure lol
-
If they're trying to suicide on hook and someone goes for the unhook they'll DC out of spite.
Honestly the best outcome for that situation in my experience.

These are the requirements. It is really difficult to signpost for PCs, so i will just leave you with this.
It is worth noting that the minimum requirements and recommended requirements are wildly outdated and could really do with an update. Those specs could do low at around 30 would be my guess.

Burden of proof isn't exclusively used in Courts. It's a basic concept of an argument- if you make a claim, you prove it. There are very few exceptions to this rule.

You are choosing to believe the people saying they have an issue. I have many reasons why I am 100% confident they are not being honest.
Therefore my comment that we don't have a problem stands. I just simply don't believe anyone who is saying they do.
Not sure why what I said bothers you so much.
out of sheer curiosity, why do you believe people are being disingenuous about their issues with NFTs?

People complain about the NFT situation, but its not enough to make most people stop playing.
I dont think that the "energy cost" argument works very well either, as it doesnt really make a whole lot of sense, due to people buying energy from energy companies. By this logic, people should be upset at the energy company for selling the energy, not the user.
In truth, the only thing that is actually negatively affected, is bhvrs reputation, which they clearly dont care about anymore since they "stayed the course" on this NFT thing.

Oh, people are angry at energy companies, as well as oil companies, gas companies, etc. However, we can also be angry at the people who purchase this energy which could be used to, oh I don't know, power the entirety of Argentina and instead use it to purchase copy/paste monkeys that look like #########.
Just for the record- a single NFT transaction can power on average one US home for a day and a half. Thousands of these happen each day. The daily usage of energy for these is on average to 25 days worth of power for a US home. Source:
What's an NFT, and why does it use energy to sell? Get the simple explanation for how cryptoart is impacting the environment. So, yes, we have every right to the people using this energy for ######### all.

Ok will have to take your word for it as I know nothing about computers or cryptocurrency
Basically lots and lots of energy usage for nothing productive towards society, far too great of a cost for literally nothing, most of which involves burning fossil fuels, which as we've known for years is very bad for the enviroment due to the amount of CO2 it releases, which in turn accellerates the global climate crisis.

After learning about what nfts are, they anger me too, and I'm also disappointed in bhvr for doing this.
However, I don't see where any of that I effecting gameplay. Am I missing something?
It won't have any impact on your gameplay, but it will on the enviroment and LEDCs where electronic waste is dumped. Think long-term and globally in terms of effects, not just how you personally are effected, because the impacts are so much greater.
-
At least one. The wording is off but if you end up doing 3 gens you'll be fine.
-
The baby Meg's walking to gens to conserve their Sprint Burst
That one survivor that never touches a gen chasing after the killer after 8 minutes of being ignored.
You on hook watching the other 3 survivors self-caring
-
I mean, sure. Could've worded everything substantially better though
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
20% chance to unhook, 6 attemps
0.8^6= about 0.26 or 26% to fail
So 74% you unhook yourself in one of the 6 attemps
If i'm not mistaken, i'm tired
You beat me to it but hey at least we've validated each other's answers
-
Right okay so.
You have a 4% chance by default. With 3 survivors alive, 9% from Up The Ante, and then 3% from VJOSL. This makes a total of 16% chance per attempt, as you figured out. Slippery Meat makes that 20%, and also grants you 6 attempts over the usual 3.
So, you have a 0.2 chance of escaping a hook per attempt, and 6 attempts. To find out the probability for events with perfect negative correlation, we plug it into the formula 1-(1-p)^x, where p is the probability in decimals and x is the number of attempts we have.
In this case, it would be 1-(1-0.2)^6 = 1-(0.8)^6 = 1-0.262144, or 0.737856.
So, using that build, you have roughly a 74% chance that one of your attempts will be successful, provided all 3 other survivors remain alive in the trial.
-
Right in short
- You don't own the image
You have no legal rights to whatever NFT you purchased, it's simply a link to a receipt saying you own it while everyone else can use it for free.
- Energy consumption
It takes a lot of energy to transfer crypto, a lot of energy to mine it, and a lot of energy to store it, as well as a lot of energy to sell the NFTs. All of this energy, most of which is coal power (if you don't know, very bad for the environment) is being essentially wasted because you might as well just buy the actual image.
- Money laundering
NFTs are usually used as a money laundering scheme, purchasing one with dirty money, selling it for clean money, and basically meaning the theft can't be tracked
- No guarantee
Servers shut down? Out of luck, no more NFT for you. Someone doesn't give you the NFT after you've paid? Out of luck you have no legal rights. URL to the receipt expired? People can replace it with malware for free and you lose access to the NFT
- Way of rich people flexing on poor people, again
They serve no purpose except to let rich people flaunt their wealth.

How much playtime does 15 GB with split tunneling translate to? Probably won’t last me the full month, haha.
I can't really comment amazingly on this, but it should be fine? I was playing using mobile data a year or so ago (awful Internet + I was playing on WiFi not Ethernet anyway) and after, like, an hour or so it'd only used about 500mb.
-
The thing is, it says to kill all 4 survivors with Tier 3 Evil Within. Not to kill them while in Tier 3 Evil Within, which is why you have to use a Tombstone for it.
Idk if Tombstone Piece counts or if you have to do it within the same case of Evil Within 3, though
-
MMR has been absolutely abysmal but I'm hesitant to call it the worst patch.
In terms of sheer #########-ness, that has to go to patch 1.9.2, which enabled you to stun a nurse mid-blink and rescue a survivor from the killer's grasp at any time during the animation.
However it was rolled back rather swiftly, thank god, which is why I'd say the Darkness Among Us patch (can't remember the exact number but I wanna say 2.4.0) was the worst one ever. In terms of how ######### it was, it wasn't as bad as 1.9.2, however it stuck around for so much longer and the overall impact of it's #########-ness was felt for such a long time.
-
This looks like a mixture of both latency and the hitboxes being awfully shaped (they're literal beachballs rn). I feel like if they were just flat cylinders instead of spheres it'd solve a lot of issues while not repeating the same issue that happened last time her hitboxes were changed.

In this exact situation, how many times does a survivor DC'ing ? 1 time out of 50 trials ? You won't get a 30 to 40% DC rate in the opponent team just by playing the game without camping and tunneling.
All of you are clearly killer mains and once again you just prove that ppl maining one side are just unaware of the global state of the game. You are all just selfish players thinking only about your little small side and personal experience without thinking how it goes for the other side.
Lmfao I played 6 killer trials yesterday and it happened in 5 of them, vs Freddy, Demo, Pyramid, Wraith, and Nurse
(also yeah I main killer but I literally don't camp or tunnel if I can avoid it because it's unfun yall need to stop with the assumptions because it's highkey tragic)

I love MMR for the simple fact that people who said the game is fine and that they get 4k's in 99.9% of their games are now seeing the real balance of the game.
This isn't specifically directed at the op and just in general.
I still believe the game is mostly fine at all levels except high. Low level is very killer sided, then it becomes slightly survivor sided, then it catapults itself to space.
