Your point is valid tbh
But if we are talking epilepsy... did they take out the possibility to have à Flashlight makro to flash the light quivkly in less then half à second? Cause thats also dangerous
Yes, it is, and it also needs to go.

To be fair though, I have photosensitivity issues myself - and flashlight macros give me serious problems (as do a lot of extreme strobe effects) as in I'll have to go and lie in a dark room with a headache/nausea.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/296532/who-else-misses-mori-spam
I'll let you in on a secret:
I've never used a mori before.
Not once.
No idea why, just...seem to hoard them.
And they definitely need to do something about flashlight macros causing seizures, like they did with these and with Doctor.
-
Assuming because it was added after the DS change and it was an oversight? And it wasn't fixed in the upcoming chapter patch because... reasons.
Or maybe because blessing a totem doesn't progress the objective technically? Except blessing a hex does so... idk honestly
-
Not at all. It could be used to create near-hostage situations (due to massively increasing the bleedout timer) and in some cases (like Freddy's mori) would cause those who suffer with epilepsy to have a seizure.
This was probably one of the funniest and ONLY bms Killer could do
Fun is obviously subjective so there's no reason to attempt to argue there, but only BM? Facecamping at 5 gens? Hitting on hook (most likely one)? Bodyblocking in a corner? There's definitely more than just "lol let me increase your bleedout timer by 3x for no reason you looped me so you deserve this".
and yes. that's actual reasoning i've heard someone give live.

We're talking about the weird times we get snow in our countries, I'm from the UK and I'm assuming GoodBoyKaru might as well but I'm not sure.
We've had times where we get no snow in November/December (aka when it's most wanted/would make more sense) but then we get snow in the dumbest of times like Febuary or April

They actually didn't. Killers were NERFED even more and to add cherries on top, more second chance crutch perks were introduced for survivors. Eventually, all killers will be nerfed hard.
Lmfao

It took me a couple of tries, and I was really trying to force it..
-
Because I have no reason to want to play survivor, especially solo.

Right so this may sound weird but you... Predict their movement based on what they've done earlier in the match, then blink. And then use a 2nd blink to correct and hit them.

This is an extremely disingenuousargument. Other than CoH existing, holding w has never been buffed in years of DBD. In fact it arguably has been nerfed with the removal of infinites/pseudo infinite loops. The argument that 'hehe survivors had an IWIN button for years but by their own grace never used it due to killer design but now that PH and deathslinger exist survivors are DONE holding back' is an extremely flimsy argument.
It was actually that they realised they were playing a video game so went with the more fun and resource saving option of looping until it wasn't an option anymore but gj

I...disagree.
I totally understand that it needs more nuance on the survivor side of things, but my killer games have been so, so much better in general than they were before.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/296403/how-does-mmr-actually-work
From what we know:
- Your survivors all have a shared MMR.
- Each killer has their own MMR: BUT when you start a new killer, it's MMR is pegged to just under your best killer's MMR (don't ask me why). However, they can rise and fall independently from there.
- 3 weeks of inactivity on either survivor or a specific killer will reset that specific MMR (implication, unconfirmed).
- When you start out on killer/survivor, you are initially assigned an 'average' MMR - which means that the system will initially put you up against a very wide variety of enemies. It'll take a good while to 'calibrate'.
- MMR increases when you kill someone as killer, or when you escape as survivor.
- Hatch neither increases nor decreases MMR for anyone.
- MMR has 'floors' and 'ceilings' - brackets, essentially. The system generally won't mix you with players outside of your bracket. However, this does not always seem to function correctly.
- The actual MMR increase/decrease from escaping/killing/etc. is unknown.
- There was an alleged bit of information that came out (in a way we're not allowed to discuss on the forums) but a deal of it has been disproven. Nonetheless, a lot of people still refer to it.
- There do seem to be a lot of quirks to the system, primarily that it'll start picking people from very wide ranges at times. I suspect this involves ultra-long queue times at very low or very high MMR, or lobby dodges.
I hope this helps!
Sorry, I should've clarified.
It doesn't work as a matchmaking system in the context of dbd. It's so wildly incompetent it makes me look like a good player.

You're very correct my head is empty except for the thought of Bruno Bangnyfe

Pretty sure they are referring to the VHS Tape add-on. It is an Iridescent for Pig that spawns traps on all survivors heads. However last time I checked it was bugged. Would spawn all the gens at 99 percent done and the second it was finished it insta-killed everyone with a trap on
no they mean the game

Yes, you can reset your penalties by not disconnecting.
Are you getting a specific message when you disconnect, like "NAT Type is too strict" or "Your Internet just killed itself"?

No. Around their release it was added that if Charlotte downs you while you have Victor attached you are prevented from exiting for about 3 seconds- the same length of time as the killer's blade wipe animation + a tiny bit more.

HEY HI YES!! I MADE A POST ABOUT THIS!!
@GoodBoyKaru said:
So a few attentive people may recognise this from a comment I made yesterday (technically it was 24 minutes into today but let's not talk semantics). A couple of people suggested I make it a real post because "That's an excellent guide, very well put together." So, here I am. I've added a few more things so it's still worth a read.
This will cover what is, in my opinion, his best build and why, as well as a few tips on playing him & a few videos.
So hey, it's me- GoodBoyKaru, your friendly neighbourhood Pyramid Head main- here to give some swift Tips and Tricks(tm) to help make you a better Pyramid Head player!
For the record, this was made during DBD Patch 4.7.2
Build
PERKS
My personal favourite and imho strongest build is this:
- Corrupt Intervention
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5A01IV8RME2M/image.png
Crucial early-game slowdown on a killer without mobility, allows him to stall the game massively because survivors know that if they get found they're doomed.
- Pop Goes The Weasel
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/FHA7ZFNAKVZY/image.png
It's the second best gen regression perk in the game, Ruin is too volatile to be anywhere near reliable on him because, again, no movement speed, he needs gen perks because he cannot move around the map quick enough, 11/10. "But you don't hook pe-" WRONG. You should be getting plenty of value out of PGTW and if you're overcaging then you're taking your map pressure and throwing it out the window.
- Barbeque and Chili
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/SC8THLXSY3RP/image.png
Now, you could obviously put other perks here like Infectious Fright (amazing snowball), Tinkerer (Undetectable is nice and it helps tell you where to go but again no movement speed) or Discordance (amazing info, can sometimes do nothing about it). However I say BBQ because I like the perk and also because bloodpoints.
- I'm All Ears
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/V90CSL0I44NO/image.png
Hands down the best perk in the game for Pyramid Head, that's six seconds of wallhacks. I cannot stress how valuable this is with his power- that is a guaranteed free hit in 9/10 situations. To show what I mean, I've linked a timestamped video below of where IAE comes in so clutch- continues to 5:16 in the video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJs4rvkppqs&t=296s
(you can watch the whole thing if you really want I'm proud of the game).
An honourable mention here goes to Ruin/Undying over Pop/Corrupt. As I've mentioned before, Tinkerer isn't a great perk on him due to his lack of speed, but the same goes for Ruin/Undying. You don't have the map mobility to defend your totems, especially if they spawn further away, and you'll probably end up losing two perks before 2 gens go. Corrupt/Pop is just more consistent in my experience.
ADD-ONS
So, his add-ons aren't great. The best ones, by far, are range add-ons which, when combined, extend his POTD by up to 2.5m (10.5m total). These are Burning Man Painting (Rare), Wax Doll (Uncommon), and Black Strap (Common), which ass +1.5m, +1m, and +0.5m respectively.
tips
Okay so rule number one is to not break pallets. Sounds weird but, just trust me.
His power is incredibly strong in a chase- so much so that if a survivor commits to an animation they die. If you don't break pallets (with some exceptions like God pallets) you can do amazing things. Because who doesn't want more opportunities to win a chase, like, instantly? It turns incredibly safe pallets into death sentences
To show what I mean, here's another timestamped clip. Ends at 10:58
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gu3X5o9GpjY&t=646s
Learn the range of the power. 8m is specific and sometimes you think you can hit things and you can't. You need to be very careful, especially when playing with range add-ons for so long, because it can and will screw with your perception.
Adapt to the survivors you're facing. A lot of players will fake taking an animation, go to the side slightly to bait your POTD or your cancel, and then commit to the animation. If you turn to the side and release, you'll catch a lot of these survivors out and get a hit. It's really satisfying to do. Alternatively some survivors will commit to the animations regardless, in which case you'll know to aim in the centre. Other survivors will just hold W and pre-drop pallets, in which case you know to leave them because you'll really struggle catching up, or do not use your power.
I cannot stress that enough. If a survivor is pre-dropping W key gaming, do not use your power. M1 killer them.
Don't overcage and don't stress about torment. If a survivor loops you, they'll get tormented. That's just kinda how it works- you stick your knife in, follow them around a loop, and release your POTD after tracking their movements.
To see what I mean we return to the first video, again timestamped. Clip ends at 1:36.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJs4rvkppqs&t=83s
See how I hug the car, turn the camera and use the power to hit him out of animation lock? Had he kept running, easy torment too.
In my opinion, only cage someone in one of four scenarios:
- You're afraid of a DS (just please don't tunnel I'm begging you)
- You're afraid of an Unbreakable (much more likely)
- You can immidiately get into another chase
- It would place you into a Pressure Point Of No Return (name pending).
What I mean by that last point is that there comes a time in a DBD game where the killer will hit a Pressure Point Of No Return, where the survivors physically cannot come back from the amount of pressure and momentum you're building. The best example of this as Pyramid Head is where you split the map through cages. You have two downed survivors. Cage one, hook the other. Nobody is on a generator, you have a BBQ proc to interrupt the person saving the cage or the hook, and now the last person must save both people. On especially large maps, like Mother's Dwelling, or multi-storied ones, like Midwich, this can force people into second stage and you've won the game at 5 gens. It's more common than you'd think.
If you cage at other times you're probably wasting pressure you could've gotten from a hook.
Learn where you can and can't lay trails. In front of totems and lockers? Amazing. In front of a gen? Not at all, it becomes a Restricted Trail Element and disappears after a few seconds. The DBD Wiki has a section on this which I'll just paste below.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/2808XTGCLSHV/image.png
I'd highly, highly suggest reading the wiki page on his power as it's really useful in understanding the fundamentals and giving actual values to words. Here it is:
https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Pyramid_Head
Finally, learn where you can and can't use POTD. It sounds like a simple thing but learning where you can and can't use it, however there's a lot to it. For example, learning how vertical changes affect it. Did you know if you release his power on a slope going up it'll fail, same with releasing it on a slope going down. However, if you're barely off of the slope it'll travel down it, but only if it isn't too steep.
It's nuts but knowing where you can and can't actually have an ability is, funnily enough, pretty important.
A few more quick-fire tips:
- Don't just go for animation lock shots. People expect these and adapt. Be unpredictable to catch them off guard and get easy hits. Like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0U1k10I-zG4&feature=emb_logo
Bet they didn't expect that one :p
Needless to say that was where I hit a Pressure Point Of No Return and poor Jakey couldn't pick up the scraps.
- Don't spam his power. You waste too much time. Be precise, predict, and adapt to your opponents.
- Don't spam his trails. You move at 110% and you already lack a movement ability, you waste too much time.
- Tunneling isn't the best strategy. I know it seems like it because cages but again, you do not have a movement ability. Survivors can and will facefuck generators and ruin your day substantially.
- Dead Dawg Saloon and Hawkins are both maps you never press M2 on ever. Play like a default M1 killer because the map design prevents you from using your power. They're pretty much auto-loss maps, ngl, unless the survivors really badly mess up.
- Play survivor. Learn where survivors move and how they path, shoot POTD to hit them. That's what I did in that last clip.
And, yeah, that's about it. If people have any questions please let me know and I'll try to answer them as best I can, though I think this is comprehensive enough.
HELLO FELLOW DORITO ENJOYER!!

I'm not sure about that.
Maybe Nemesis player just prefer any character from Resident Evil?
Canonical interactions are really just few, as we don't have Brad Vickers (who got really close with Nemesis at the end of his life), as far as I remember.
The characters are from the RE 2make/3make so
|SPOILERS|
Brad actually dies by zombie bite (and goes on to infect Marvin for 2make) in the opening sequences so we never actually see them interact (though he did know about the Nemesis so it's possible that he escape and it then switched targets to Jill).
-
@RoaderFrost said:
Do you play as Jill or Leon against Nemesis?
Some players may simply put lore side tension to a whole different level.
Then why Leon when Nemesis and Leon have absolutely no canonical interaction.
-
If they removed Dorito man? Idk, none of the other anti-loop killers really appeal to me in terms of gameplay. He's the only one I clicked with.
Maybe Nurse? Depends if I can be asked to fight through all the bugs. Maybe Wraith? Freddy is just dull after his nerf so definitely not him but Wraith is still a blast.
Or actually maybe I'd go play Legion, despite my hatred of them, to honour my current bf despite him quitting. Got them to P3 50 all perks so I might as well lol.
Edit: oh and for the survivor side, if they removed the icon Claudette I'd probably move to Davey, Jakey, or Nancy

Makes sense. Every new killer knows that killing is their objective. And what is the fastest way to do it?
Its not really new players fault, but the game design itself because tunneling is the most logical option to finish your objective fast.
It sucks for the survivor experience though.
But not only new nemesis players tunnel but most of them even old players who just happen to play nemesis that day tunnel like there's no tomorrow. So there's probably something more to this
Oh there probably is something more, that's just a good explanation I remember hearing and thinking it was solid
-
My friend gave a pretty good explanation. A lot of nemesis mains are people that came from the Resident Evil chapter. They haven't been here for the dawn of the Rulebook™ back when the game first formed, or the repeated additions from both sides over the years. They haven't been here long enough for the complaints to really settle in, and a lot of RE is all about repeatability and finding the most time and resource efficient strategies.
Tunneling is, sadly, that strategy.

It PAUSES all existing exhaustion timers.
You can 99 Sprint Burst a bunch....by throwing the game walking around/not doing gens....You'd need to wait until SB was at 1% BEFORE touching another gen.
Could work out in some cases, though - Actually a pretty interesting interaction the more I think about it.
That wouldn't work, actually, since it'd automatically put it back up to 5 seconds if it's below 5 seconds. If it's over then it's paused.

So if a killer keeps nodding at you while you are bleeding to death or on a hook while he already won or during a match isn't toxic too for that kind of logic... Cause it's actually harmless and it's a psychological warfare that too... Meh, I'm unconvinced tbh
"Is only done to be aggrevating" yes. It sucks to be on the receiving end of it, but the entire purpose is to piss you off.
Hitting on hook, however, has the added gameplay bonus of losing you the trial basically by default vs le SWF whilst ensuring that one single survivor will receiving no enjoyment or Bloodpoints from the match.
At least vs tbaggers you can still play the game :/
Both of which are annoying but can't really be "solved" in any logical way asides from everyone simultaneously deciding to be a good person. And we've all seen the types of people that play this game; we have less chance of having MMR removed and replaced with something that actually functions in a semi-decent way to make the game fun again than we do of that happening.

Psychological warfare! Lol.
######### please. It's called taunting.
You're taunting players like a 5 year old and thinking that makes you mother ######### Machiavelli.
Don't dress-up taunting as some fancy tactic when the same sort of ######### would earn you a $10K fine in the NFL... or a time-out in preschool. Damn near every real life competition punishes such overtly bad-sportsmanship and ######### behavior.
This is just the internet, where you're finally free to act like a spoiled brat without ever being confronted by repercussions, reprisal or even the real feelings involved with actively going out of your way to make someone feel bad over a ######### video-game.
Christ on a cracker. I'm not exactly above it all the time either, but I'm not deluding myself into thinking that's legit instead of basic ######### 101.
"Psychological warfare if you're feeling extra dramatic"
I implore you to use your eyes further than the first two words you see.

Dark Devotion?
-
Tbagging has been in online games as far back as I can remember and, unlike when this argument is used in other contexts (such as using slurs in endgame chat 🧍) , is actually harmless. It's an attempt to get under your skin, a form of psychological warfare if you're feeling extra dramatic, and if you're making this post it's working.
Tbagging is objectively a bad idea. You lose seconds of distance pressing control. It's frustrating but has no impact on gameplay and is only done to be aggrevating.
I don't really think it needs to be "solved", and if you feel yourself being tilted by it easily then it could be indicative of something else.
(not to mention the above point of removing counterplay to Hag, Pyramid Head, removing what remained of the use of Urban Evasion, and would basically shoot down stealth once and for all).

I find it quite tasteless speaking over minorities when they can do it themselves. Making a forum account is free and takes up to 2 minutes.

Yes, actually. Because you asked specifically for the people who have an issue with it.
Due to them not having an issue, as has been made quite clear, I decided that it wasn't pertinent to include them in a list of people who do have an issue.
It'd be a bit like including every vegemite hater in a list of people who actually like it. Completely nonsensical and unrelated to the point at hand.
But credit for trying. You really did try that.
