Yeah. Usually when there's a survivor inside it stutters for a moment before all returns to being well.
If any of this information helps, Ryzen 7 3700x, Gigabyte GTX 1660 6GB, 32GB ram, playing on an SSD, ultra settings at 100% reolution.

If a survivor is not in a snowman, it respawn in 15 seconds. If a survivor is in a snowman, it does not respawn.
I am unsure as to the interaction if you voluntarily break out as a survivor.
Confirmed by Rizzo in an earlier thread.

I wouldn't exactly say they "fixed" it so much as they tried to apply plaster over something that fundamentally needed much more work. While some are fine with the "fix" the overall problem still remains, but with some refinement, could be an excellent event mechanic worthy of returning every year. I already listed my proposals in comments or posts pertaining to the event 3 years ago, but the bottom line is that I feel like the game needs Event Features like this to add more options and fun to the otherwise stale gameplay.
Alas the cankers won't return because they're used in an archive challenge.

The biggest problem was in the point distribution for milking them vs hooking survivors. The team originally presented the challenge with the idea that the earned cosmetics could only be supplied by playing the side you wanted to earn them for. The big problem with this was that it created a huge disparity in people playing survivor vs people playing killer and increased queue times to unreasonable levels. Eventually the devs changed it so that earning Canker/Pustule points for either side could be applied for both the killer and survivor cosmetics offered, but it was a week too late for that, and everyone was left with a sour taste regarding the whole event. This is sad, because overall, the event was both unique and ultimately very fun, and we could use a bit more of that in this game. Sure it may have been a precursor to the blight, but overall, it was established in the lore as something that would keep returning, and I feel that, with some refinement, it deserves another chance to become a DbD tradition.
Ik how it started - I was there - but then they fixed it
Survivors could get a lot but could also die while very near complete and lose it all. Killers got less per hook but each hook guaranteed a little bit.
Also people weren't left with a sour taste, at least not the majority, and a lot of times it's called the 2nd best dbd event (behind Moonrise)

I have a video on my pc that I'll try and get uploaded tomorrow when I have a moment, but basically we're playing Midwich and I'm breaking a door.
Only to discover, on the other side, a snowman. The cold, dead eyes staring at me as it menacingly, tantalisingly slowly approaches. The sounds of it's steps light because its an inflatable snowman, yet horrifying enough to instill a sense of pure dread.
Those things are ######### scary.

are you sure you got nothing, or did you not get a notification? there's a definite issue with obtained items not showing up yet you continue to receive them.

Paid killers are overpowered? The Nurse, a free killer, is the best character in DBD. Within the top five- The Nurse, The Blight, and The Spirit are near undisputed as deserving a place there, and arguably The Hag too- at least three are available through currency obtainable through in-game playtime and, depending on platoform, may even be completely free from the beginning of the game.
The perks I could see an argument for, however as for the killer's themselves there is absolutely nothing pay-to-win about them, since the best ones are either free, or obtainable through playtime alone.

That's exactly what I said, because silly me I was referring to the killer role in general! How stupid of me to forget that The Twins, one single killer which released on December 1st 2020, is the only killer in all of DBD, and for the 4 and a half years beforehand there just... wasn't a killer! Whoopsies, must've slipped my mind-

It's not about that bestie. You can abuse them in chase. Killer's chasing you? Jump into the snowman, the survivor get's basically a free 3rd health state and since there is six of them survivors are gonna abuse them to maximum. They're also respawning from what I see
And they spawn out the way so you have to be lucky to abuse them plus if you jump out it disintegrates so the killer can just drop chase and either it's gone forever or you're stuck at slow speeds it's really not that deep.

I agree killer is harder, but that stress absolutely makes it more fun imho. Having everything rely on me and my decisions is a wonderful feeling when it goes right, and I don't have the backup of my team to fall back on (or need to play perfectly to deal with their incompetence, either works).
