It's going to be Sadako.
It's literally a "Ringu" Chapter not a "The Ring" Chapter.
The difference? Doesn't matter because Samara is either going to be a cosmetic or she isn't going to be in it at all. Mainly because she is a child.

They say it offers more balanced matches.
There has been no real evidence of that besides their word.
It's basically the same from what I've seen, there's just a massive influx of cheaters lately.

Reporting on Playstation literally does nothing. It gets tossed into the void.
BHVRs reporting system is a joke. Having to take video proof of it, when you have no idea when it is going to happen, and then having to submit a report through their "submit ticket" link (good luck finding it, unless they actually finally fixed the link) is just ridiculous.

survivor and killer player here
because people didn’t agree with a point you made before doesn’t make it a forums of a specific role
Of course it does. 😉
The only people who would disagree with them are the people who main the side they are complaining about. You know, because everyone on "one side" thinks the same and all agree with each other all the time.
Shame on you for thinking that people are individuals and can think for themselves.

"Re-enabled location restriction when snuffing Boon totems" does it means?
This looks like a change but I don't get it.
I had to look this up myself.
It seems, previously, they had to disable a "restriction" on Killers when it came to snuffing totems and collision. Some totems were positioned in such a way that this collision caused it so that they could not be snuffed. They disabled it so they could reposition the totems and collision. This caused it so some totems were easier to snuff (they basically said "enjoy it while it lasts killers!" when they disabled it.)
With it re-enabled we have to assume they moved the un-snuffable totems so they can be snuffed now with the collision. This may cause some issues with snuffing some totems, compared to what Killers were used to with it disabled, as some may have been getting snuffed in the wrong position due to ignoring collision, so now you'll have to position better.

"The escape rate wasn't very high with Object of obsession equipped"
Never forget.
BHVR seems to have certain goals for each Killer. They almost exclusively ignore how "strong" they are compared to other Killers. Pinhead was "overperforming" compared to where they believe he should be, he may be performing worse than other Killers but he's out performing their nebulous idea of how Pinhead, themselves, should be performing. Also if they aren't fun for Survivors, that's the other metric they use.
🤷♀️

Here are the results of my last 38 trials as survivor (0=killed, 1=survived):
00010110111010000001110100000000000010
26 times killed, 12 times survived.
In about 2-4 trials the killer was IMHO a beginner. About 6-8 trials were nice to play. About 18-20 trials were ugly (camp, tunnel, slug).
In the old ranking system I was rank 10-12. In the new system I am grade Gold I.
The killers are most often to strong for me. I don't have fun playing against these killers. Please fix this issue. For now I would stop playing DbD and switch to another game.
" In the new system I am grade Gold I." This is nothing to do with anything.
Anyway, I'm not sure what to tell you. Get better? If you are losing WAY more than you are winning then you just need to get better. If you find yourself being the one tunneled most games that could mean that you are weak in chases and the Killer takes the free kill for a 3v1, which is much more in their favor.
-
Doesn't sound like "Griefing", its bad sportmanship but they aren't griefing you. You can still do gens, you can still play, you'll just be missing out on one gen in the match. Is it that big of a deal? Does having to take a little longer to do the event matter that much? Pumpkin seeds also make this basically a nonissue.
-
BP are worth more than MMR every will be in its current state. MMR is invisible and it is affected so little per match that you won't notice any difference when you Win or Lose. Unless you think BBQ somehow makes you lose SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more that you'll actually visibly see a difference in your matches.

I think medkits are fine :/
I sometimes think people forget about survivors who solo, which I do the majority of the time. There are so many times when a teammate would refuse to heal me or keep messing up on a skill check. So I prefer to bring a medkit and heal myself.
If they nerf medkits then people are going to go back to using self-care and complain about that too. Or everyone's going to run inner-strength and there won't be enough totems to go around.
Have a nice day.
The thing is though, if you have a medikit a lot of players are just going to work gens because they assume you can heal yourself. If you don't there's, like, a 9/10 chance they'll heal you once the gen is complete. I mainly play solo and allies not healing isn't as rampant as some like to make it out to be. At least not on the East NA server. 🤷♂️
-
Medikits have been hands-down the best item in the game (except for best case Keys) for literal years, way back when healing speeds(etc.) were adjusted. People complain about toolboxes but Medikits are usually the better item.
-
It's a typo.
They prob just copy-pasted the Resident Evil chapter post and forgot to change it.
-
Same thing happened to me. Also on PS5.
I just re-added the chapters to my library to restore them.
How does something like this even happen in the first place?
-
Do Bones.Oops. I wasn't suppose to say that. 🤭

It was from the Meg Rift, as others have mentioned.

True, but it makes windows & pallets unsafe especially if there's a low pallet count.
Don't use Windows and pre-drop pallets against Nemesis. His tentacle is pretty easy to dodge. 🤷♂️
-
It's not "too weak" its literally the same if you are being tunneled. Having 60 seconds of being able to freely do objectives was too much.
-
Nerf him into the ground for all I care. I don't consider him strong by any means but I hate facing the Wraith.
The less of a chance I have of facing him, the better.
-
I haven't seen one in a while.

His entire base design resembles a survivor much more then a killer, which is one of the big issues many people (including myself) had with his design when he was first revealed.
Take away his bat, and he just looks like a typical prestiged survivor skin. Not intimidating in the slightest.
Legion though???
Literally insane how much players complain about Trickster's design while ignoring everything else in this game. lol
-
I escape and earn the most BP in most games I play. The only "second chance" perk I run, sometimes, is Borrowed Time. 🤷♂️
I don't care about running "the best" perks. This is DBD and I value fun over "winning" or "being the best" or "playing like everyone else". Anyone can play any perks they want.
@NMCKE said:

Doesn't matter if you're perfect, if the killer wants you dead — you're dying, like it or not. The best you can do is still for your team by dragging out the process.
Doesn't give anyone the right to try and police what perks other players are running.
Sorry some of you are so sweaty and obsessed with "winning" at all costs that you think you have some right to control how others play. Many of us run what perks we feel like running. Too bad for you.
-
I play a few games and then stop once it gets too unbearable. Usually like 5-8 games.
-
Stupid and/or dumb zombie. Doesn't matter which. Usually the Male though since I rarely see the Female one.
-
Being able to get out of Dreamworld easily, and making him a non threat, made him the worst Killer.
Sorry. 🤷
-
Same.
Wraith is easily one of the most toxic Killers.
The Twins are probably the only Killer I've faced that is more toxic? But that's a whole other thing.
-
I can't even imagine the Wraith actually being fun to go against. He is easily one of my least favorite Killers to face, always has been, but the buff has made him even worse.
Doctor as well. The screaming and madness nonsense is too much for me.
But these are only my opinions. Its good that you find them fun.
-
When I run a "Healer" Build I always have a medkit + WMI + BK. Healing unhooked survivors takes no time at all and it feels kinda gross.
-
If you are taking the time to find gens to kick, and then you spend 60 seconds to down someone (You say 30, but any half decent Survivor isn't going down in 30 seconds) at least one Gen you kicked, if Survivors are actually working it, is most likely going to be completed.
There's also Gens that are being worked that you never kicked. The longer you take to make sure all gens that are being worked are kicked the less time you actually have to get value out of Eruption.
I just don't see the time spent kicking Gens really being worth it a lot of the time. Some games you can spend the time doing it, but most you can't because it does nothing to stop the Gen from getting complete.
I'm not saying its bad, I just don't think it's very good.

I’m not too worried about that since nemesis can already get hits really easily anyway but the speed boost it gives should be halfed when contaminating.
Otherwise he’s honestly fine
Also I find his tentacle to be easier to avoid than PH. By far the easiest Killer to loop and have an extended chase with.
I guess we just have completely different views on and experiences with Nemesis.

meanwhile i have gotten a whole 35 cakes while trying to prestige my blight
now i have to choose if i want to continue prestiging him or wait until ive used up all the cake
Its mainly Survivors who are having an issue getting them because thy have like 3 other even items, that aren't even close to equal in value. Killer's just have the Cake so they get them all the time.

Question:
With all of the stuff in this thread, do you guys think DBD is in a worse place then it was 6 months ago? Otz doesn't seem to think so, and I honestly cannot fathom how he doesn't. (yes I know, don't take words of streamers as some Holy text but still)
Optimization and bug wise? It's definitely worse. This last month alone has given us massive stuttering, freezes, lagging lobbies, crashing that can make you actually lose BP and Blood web progression, and a massive increase in the "302" error before and after everyone readies up.
Balance wise? I'd say the game is in a better place.

You technically have the right to complain about whatever you'd like. Still, in my opinion, people are not justified in obnoxiously complaining about the quality of free events and free DLC. No one here bought a seasons pass in which the devs promised regular content drops. All of this stuff is free. Insulting the devs because they didn't make good enough free content is entitled, annoying, and regrettably widespread on the forum. OP is absolutely right to call that out.
What about those of us who have bought all the DLC?
How much are we allowed to complain? We pay them for a product and if it isn't working how much are we allowed to complain until you decide it's too much?
Most people on the forum ARE complaining about the crashes, the bugs and them not working. Do some of them need to reel it in? Yes. No one should be be insulting the devs but trying to shut down complaints based on your blanket idea of who is complaining and what they are complaining about is ridiculous.
-
His reaction is a bit overboard imo. 😳

I like a tin-foil hat conspiracy laugh as much as the next guy, but when I logged on just now and read what was being investigated, that's the first nutty thing I thought, bexause it just seemed as if everything was starting to unravel at unrealistically varied levels!
I don't know enough about coding to say whether it's worth actually drawing things back to how they were a year or 2 back and start things over, but currently it seems like there's too much going on. Reminds me a bit of the Fallout 76 chaos! I'm backing them to get through this, but thiw does all feel rather strange.
Its insane. Its hard to even fathom and explain how much of an utter failure the updates this month have been.

Nope. Crashes and a ton of errors kicking people.
It's crazy rn.
-
You can if you can get into a match.
Good Luck.

Yup.
My Fiance is playing on PS5 and if he gets through a Lobby (people keep DCing from the lobbies) he gets a 302 error and gets kicked from the game.

This isn't a nerf, it's hitting through windows that are not meant to be hit through - the boarded up windows etc. It's not regular windows that you can vault through.
It should be rewritten then. Its worded weird, especially with how "Windows" are used in relation to the game. 🤷
-
- "Fixed an issue that could cause Nemesis's Tentacle strike to hit the Survivor through some of the windows and main buildings. "
lmao Nemesis nerf.

One bugfix actually straight nerfed Nemesis.

At his current state, Nemesis' zombies are a very minimal help. Granted that these zombies make up about half of his kit, the fact that zombies get MAYBE 1 or 2 hits each match (which is a generous guess) when used correctly, half of his kit super weak. I think that not only does the zombie AI need to be patched up, but should include either better stats or just a 3rd zombie.
What do you all think?
I've never gotten hit by a zombie except the one time I decided too. Literally how are people getting hit by these things?
-
Imagine complaining about NoeD in 2021.
-
Survivors can literally just hold W/Forward and its almost always the best decision on any large map.
I only play Survivor and it's telling when the most effective strategy is just running away to get the Killer to go somewhere else, instead of trying to play the pallets.
-
If they don't release a chapter every 3 months they won't make their margins and would have to shut down. /s
Anyway, on a serious note, they make most of their money through chapter releases and I doubt they have a desire to end that any time soon.
