It is ludicrous to think that it is even a necessary mechanic to begin with. I personally have never seen a game being held hostage by survivors, even on my most devastating defeats as killer before EGC was introduced. And even if the problem truly was as common as perceived to be, which I sincerely doubt, was it that difficult to come up with a different solution?
Perhaps making it a highly bannable offense and hire some people to deal with those specific reports, or something. Not adding a timer at the end of the game. It does nothing other than encouraging scummy tactics and rushed actions. 99%ing Gates is merely another consequence.
I have seen games held hostage by survivors back before EGC. It wasn’t a big issue but it did happen.

It helps if you played RE2 before but yes it is a huge map that can compared to a maze. It’s fun but can be overwhelming

I think it counts if you watch your friend get hacked to death by a wraith and retrieve the key from her corpse while watching from a bush. You then track down the closed hatch and lead the others to survival in a daring mission of altruism. Lol. I’m joking. I think keys are bullshit. It was a fun game though.

Well they said they would focus on the anniversary event more. I guess if the game doesn’t work you can’t really tell they didn’t focus more on it like they said. 🤷♂️

I’d be happy with the brown bag special as his base. Let him carry two. I usually only carry the brown brag and brown glove and do wonderfully.

I think it goes beyond DBD, but yes I am worn down by people.

I’ve had fur disconnects on the past two games as trapper. People are getting pissed over the simplest of things. Pull off a good play? DC. Get downed cause their plan didn’t succeed? DC. It’s a shame really.

I would completely rework the perk.
survivor interactions cannot be interrupted when interacting with gens, totems, chests or exit gates when they would normally be interrupted by hits or powers that aren’t putting them into the dying state.

To be perfectly honest, I play Spirit with a slugging build and that typically works. Gets 25 downs in a trial if you just hit them when they get picked up. Deerstalker and Sloppy makes this wonderful.
You need to down Survivors ASAP and have the mobility to ensure they stay down, which Spirit is great for.
I use a similar build with wraith.

When you have challenges that say ‘down 25 survivors’ it’s pretty inevitable that slugging is about to happen.

I love it on Hag with her teleporting. You can really confuse survivors mid chase.

I like the idea of Oni but I have issues using his power effectively. I’m on console so maybe that is part of it but I don’t land many hits with it.

I can screw around with him and get a 3k. He’s dangerous for survivors who don’t know how to deal with him. I don’t like going against him myself.

If anything beats DBD, it will be something that BHVR does or doesn’t do. Its got a tight grip on the genre and having so many big names involved provides for a large span of a fan base.

Helter and Skelter have a tendency to hide around corners and ambush me like Seal Team 6 when I’m survivor.
Heckle and Jeckle usually get stuck on a rock when I play Nemesis and moan about their own short failings in despair.

Unfortunately, you’ll just have to accept the bad shape it’s in your f you’re going to ply right now. Go into each game knowing it’s going to ######### you and just try to laugh at the situation as best you can. The situation is unacceptable but don’t let it mess up your play time.
someone on here did mention that reducing your default share time video length from 15 minutes to 30 seconds would help. I tried it out. It might have helped? Worth giving a shot.

He found three of us right off the bat. He committed to a chase while two of us circled back and finished the gen. Not sure what they were running but I was using a gen speed/tool box build.

It’s not hard to make a killer dc right now. Had a wraith dc after popping the first gen. Match lasted about 45 seconds.
im sure it’s not hard to get a survivor to dc either.
