Even if you were to get hit with a ban, it wouldn't be a permanent one, as per:
It's a bit of a grey area regarding what choice the killer makes in this situation, as it's also a bit weird to expect the killer not to use such an opportunity.
If anything, the blame falls onto the Nea.

The duty of providing screenshots falls to you, it would seem…

I always wondered what would happen if they got rid of solo q and made everyone be on comms 100% of the time? I think after a week or 2 the kill rate on average would drop by 15-20%, or at least a 10% difference in kill rate. I wish they would try this in a modifier 1 day. I don't think it would ever be mainstream but if they make it mainstream I feel like balancing the game would be MUCH easier.
God knows they would never do this though.
If you want to kill well over half of your playerbase overnight, sure.
-
Not particularly?
Not any faster than before, anyway.

It's the mode coming in July. Likely around the time the mid-chapter drops.

Pride flags are quite different from country flags, eh?

Late night games tend to be much harder, I'll say that. Especially on working days. Never played in the morning, though.
Overall, weekend afternoons are the chillest, in my experience. Makes sense, since that's when the most people will be playing.

is sable tryks? they look pretty similar in the art atleast.
No. Zzsl Tryks was mentioned in the previous anniversaries' tomes as a "fan" of the Entity. She's essentially the one hosting the Entity's birthdays. Apparently she's also the one who canonically made the Alice in Wonderland cosmetics.
Granted, Sable's also a bit weird like that, but Tryks seems way more powerful.
-
Rapid posts also tend to get flagged 'cause of potential spam bots.
-
Funny how this exact topic pops up every anniversary.

The killer can also use an invitation ability to half the stun time. The party pallets don't have a shorter stun time themselves.
They do break upon being thrown though, so you must get a stun with them.

You did not pluck its feathers to make it fit the story…
To explain it for those who don't know the story goes as follows… In ancient greece plato describe a man as a "featherless biped", everybody agreed but Diogenes wanted to mock him, so he caught a rooster, brought it back to Plato, plucked all its feathers off and said "I bring you Plato's man".
So basically showing that Plato's definition was not accurate enough.I think the code is a reference to Castlevania, actually.
I just saw an opportunity to birdpost

I think it’s an interesting concept and I’ve seen a few different ideas on the forums recently that all have merit. I certainly think they can be tested on a PTB at least to see what can/cannot be abused and make tweaks accordingly (applying certain conditions and disabling things that may lead to abuse in the way that many others above have mentioned).
I can’t remember who so cannot credit them sadly, but someone also mentioned about hooked survivors moving around like PH cages - this can actually kill (or at least injure) two birds with one stone* as it can also detract against easy zone-camping.
Other ideas someone mentioned was to stay in deep-wound (like Legion power) until the person is no longer being tunnelled - again, with conditions and so on to consider potential abuse.
In any case, a potential combination of these are definitely worth testing and refining I would hope.

They don't take it "higher up", so to speak, nor have I heard of any game that does so. It'd be a right mess to figure out, let alone enforce.
They do, however, ban those players when you report them.
-
To be fair
Some players just play incomprehensibly dumb. Others are just dumb sometimes.
Bought accounts might also be a possibility.

How long did it take for them to get back to you? I've been waiting 2 days.
Almost exactly a day.
-
I have now contacted support, and they have gotten back to me and sent me a code through there!
I also included my player profile ID and my relevant email adresses in my ticket. I dunno if that helped at all, but I have now gotten it!

It is the first crow perk since the game launched. Which is wild since not even Artist came with one.
It’s alright, but ultimately a bit unreliable. And it may not even do anything.
-
While I don’t think nobody out there deranks, it’s usually touted as a “i lost because of x” thing.
-
Thinking outside the box, an extremely large TR can actually confuse survivors about how close you are. Particularly on the Game or Midwich, if you always sound "close", it becomes very hard to tell when you're actually coming for them.
-
I still haven’t gotten a single email either.
First time I haven’t received anything, too.

No one is saying any of that. Ill bet you wouldn't feel good if you were let go from your job and a bunch of people online were brushing it off, especially the very people you worked your behind off to please every day. It's called having empathy. Mandy has confirmed she is still employed, thankfully, but what about Peanits or Rizzo? We have no idea if they've come out unscathed and as valued members of the community I doubt they'd like to see "oh well, it happens, you're not entitled to your job" remarks. They'd understand more than any of us exactly why this has happened, they don't need it repeated ad nauseam.
I can confirm Peanits is “safe”, as he puts it himself.
Rizzo is a moderator. I believe they are volunteers, and as such wouldn’t have been at risk in the same way other people are. Might be wrong there, though.

They may have the right, YOU do not. Not unless you know the reason.
The dev I cited quite literally states that he wants us to state our opinions and frustrations. That is what I am doing.
From what I can tell, this took the dev team by surprise as well, so they can't have known the reasons either.

Whats even the point of this thread? You sound immature and naive, layoff happens, a company is a company at the end of the day.
Primarily sharing news, as I always do on here. I felt inclined to give my opinion as well, whether you engage with that is up to you. I don't think I sounded particularly immature either. Was me making this thread impulsive? Maybe. I would disagree, but that's for you to decide.
"Naive"? If anything, I'd call it cynical. I will admit I am assuming this was another entry in this year's gaming CEOs laying off hundreds upon hundreds of employees. I have no reason not to assume so, frankly. The announcement reeks of corpo-speak, the devs team was taken by surprise as well. Not to mention this isn't even the first round of layoffs within BHVR this year.

You really don’t have any room to talk about this topic honestly. You have no idea why they were laid off and have no clue if it’s outrageous.
ESPECIALLY with how bad inflation and the economy has been getting sometimes costs have to be cut. It’s unfortunate but the company is running a business NOT a charity case. It’s definitely unfortunate for people to lose their jobs but let’s not act like they got let go for zero reason when we have no clue why. Nor do we have any right to know.
@Science_Guy said:
Not every layoff is because John CEO wants to buy a 2nd yacht. Things happen, teams underperform, priorities change… it's all a necessary part of business, and it's not really fair to criticize this kind of thing just as a matter of course.
Considering that the devs themselves are voicing outrage, I think I am very well in my right to be outraged as well.

The crossplay option is only toggleable from the main menu, so before you select killer or survivor.
What platform are you on?
Are you sure you're on the most recent patch?

Just how it goes on release days.
Some people get endless [new killer], others get endless blights, tunnellers, nurses, etc.

- Companies do layoffs when they have to, nobody "wants" to do layoffs. That is a result of how things in the broader economy are doing.
- Perhaps, but again, it doesn't have to be a "GAME" maybe they were working on some planned feature for DBD that was going to be some completely rework of the game, or a tournament or any other potential cancelled projects.
- The 7% is with 2022 numbers, it is likely that the company has grown substantially in the past 2 years, they likely overhired, like everyone else, and need a way to deal with that.
1: Microsoft's history this year alone disproves that. Besides, live-service games have proven to be the most lucrative business model in the industry. I somehow doubt that BHVR is currently struggling.
2: That's speculation. There's not a whole lot to discuss there.
3: Again, we don't know that. I have now however found this:
-
@Reinami said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/416238/recent-layoffs-at-bhvr
Couple of things.
- The entire industry has been having layoffs, usually of 10-20% of the company
- BHVR has, as of 2022, 1300+ employees.
- 95 would be around 7%, and likely they have way more than 1300 now.
This is likely the restructuring of a team, or initiative within the company that resulted in some people not having jobs. For example, maybe the teams around a cancelled internal project etc.
1: just because it happens across the industry doesn’t make it right. Very much on the contrary.
2: sure, but these were rumoured to be people working on DbD specifically. I neglected to mention that. The potentially thousands of total BHVR employees isn’t all that relevant.
3: If the rumoured 95 is true, that’s still a substantial amount. I don’t think this can be dismissed with “it’s just 7%”

Yes, but how do I obtain that reward? The Newsletter subscription
says it has subscribed me but I never have any reward in my DBD Account OR any confirmation in my email
Have you checked your spam, ads, etc? Mine are always going to my spam.
Also, when did you sign up? As in, should you have gotten other emails? They come with codes you can enter in the in-game store, they don't just appear in your inventory.

Half true. There are probably all perks included, yes. But there are obviously several perks with much higher rates and some with near non-existent rates.
I mean, I highly doubt that.
It’s not impossible you get the same perk twice or even thrice in a row, y’know.

All perks are included.
Just luck of the draw.
