One of the most prominent examples of a game that does show premades is Overwatch.
But the thing with Overwatch is that its matches have already begun by the time you see that.
DbD has the pre-game lobby. People will just lobby shop if they see a SWF, since there's no penalty for doing so.
-
In my experience, they may take up to two days to appear. Also be sure to check whether they haven’t already appeared in your inventory (ie., check Jonah’s cosmetics). It may have appeared there without a notification.
-
Fundamentally, the Unknown is quite literally unknowable. All the favour texts we have are mere in-universe theories about its origins. Some suggest it's "just" a serial killer, others suspect a CIA-experiment gone awry.
Trying to find out what it actually is, is precisely what gets you its attention, and your untimely demise. And thus, nobody lives to tell of its true nature.

Aven_Fallen already posted this, but here it is again. This is a thread with a status report of the most commonly reported bugs and their ETA's.
https://twitter.com/DeadbyDaylight/status/1813627755311034785As for this being the worst patch… Not by a long shot.

Are there any plans to try and get an emergency hot fix out this week for the most severe issues (multiple gens completing at once, too many gens needing completed) or are we looking at next week?
Due to how updates must go through certification on consoles, it's near-enough impossible to get an update out on all platforms that quickly.

Hm. Well, so much for a new IP.
-
It’s honestly remarkable how I can’t find a single good thing about it.
It’s overwhelming at first glance. It messes with the order for no discernible reason beyond “here’s what you don’t own yet :)”
Navigation was made counterintuitive and way harder. (Why hide two of the screens behind the character select screen???) (why change the icon as well??)
Everything is smaller, adding to the feeling of “there’s ######### everywhere”
The !-marks when there’s new store cosmetics is distracting, gross and reeks of corpo-greed. You removed the “owned” tag, remove that as well.
I’m sorry, but these changes are so very blatanly prioritising sales over usability.
-
Assuming this is about the UI changes, I think the changes were disliked by many players, not just people with ASD. Frankly, as someone with ASD, it seems a bit strange to use that as an argument.
If it's not about the UI changes, then I can only say that a live service game is really not the place to go for stability. It quite literally states in the EULA that BHVR can and will make changes to the game's content whenever they see fit.
-
never mind the outfits look at her
-
That's hysterical my word
-
Yeah, I’ve noticed it getting worse too.
-
It’s way too small now. From its previous iteration, the only change it needed was the window loop.
-
Very intrigued by the timing. Supposedly, the new console is coming next year, so if this is still for the Switch it seems like a very late announcement.
Also the fact that this is the first time they’ve teased something (First Party?) like this in recent memory.
-
The period around Oni’s release.

It does not counter their power.
Imagine if the Onryo could dribble you to MAKE you gain stacks of condemn. She would waste a lot of time, sure, but she could still mori you right out of the game with no counterplay.
Executioner can force you into a cage, whether you perfectly avoid becoming tormented or not.
My solution: Either give the survivor a split-second window of immunity for the game to realize that the survivor is crouching instead of just immediately tormenting them regardless of the crouch button being pressed, OR remove auto-wiggle (let it max out at 99% and let the survivor choose if & when to finish the last 1%).
Not everything is counterable, nor should everything be. The argument of "Uncounterable" only really holds weight when the end result is too strong for its inevitability.
There's quite the difference between Sadako's abilities and PH's as well. If Sadako could dribble you to gain condemned stacks, she could theoretically flat-out kill you after winning a single chase. The time-investment would grant such an immense pay-off that there's 0 reason not to do it, besides simply not wanting to. I don't think these two are comparable.
PH, ultimately, gets a remote hook, and thus a single hook-state, and denial of perk usage on both sides. And that at the cost of losing precious time to apply Torment. As the survivor, you're still winning time by dodging all the trails, since he still needs to invest time to get a cage. The fact that he can mini-mori on death hook while hit with Torment doesn't change a whole lot, since you'd be dead anyway. In that scenario, the time investment to apply Torment immensely exceeds the time it would take to simply hook you.
Not to mention that dribbling is risky in the first place, since there's no guarantee the survivor won't make it to another resource and massively extend the chase.
It just seems like a non-issue to me.

Wasting their time is not a counter. If the killer gets to punish me for being tormented, I don't want to be tormented, and it is entirely possible for the survivor to counter being tormented (except for 1 missed edgecase), I should not be forced to be tormented.
Wasting the Killer’s time is the primary goal of a survivor.
-
1: It taking “too long” is highly subjective, and can have many, many reasons. 1 minute isn’t even all that long, when it starts ticking down the instant the lobby is filled.
2: Not all survivors do this.
3: Not all survivors do this.
-
I mean, if I don't play certain killers it's nearly always because I'm bad with them and can't be bothered to learn 'em, or because I get bored playing them.
As for outright refusal to play as them, that honour goes to Nurse, and Nurse alone.

Can someone explain how to join that challenge or do I just have to get chased in normal games?
I believe it’s just normal games.
So, essentially, just play as normal.

I'm pretty sure it takes a patch update to get everyone to close their game in these situations.
Yes, but I would like to see something implemented that forced everyone to essentially relog, without the need of an update. That way, the killswitch can be enforced on all players.
Of course, ideally it wouldn't kick everyone out of already running matches, but once they return to the pre-lobby they'd be forced to relog.

What is plan about SoloQ improvements? No offense intended, but these are the kinds of questions that will be answered with "more info soon" or "nothing to share right now" kind of answers.
Setting yourself up for disappointment, there.

There’s add-ons that allow you to increase your TR while you have your blast ready, effectively increasing its range. Stack those, add Distressing to increase it even further, and pick RPD.
When a chase brings you to the outside area on the east side, blast away and you’ll typically hit one or two, depending on what gens have been done.
You can make a whole build of it, too.
-
With the arguably weirdly phrased question and the rather small sample size (which he can’t help, he’s only got his audience), I’m not particularly inclined to believe such sweeping statements.
Besides, even if it’s not as common as we experience it, it’s undeniable that tunnelling is vastly more common than it used to be, and it’s far too effective on the vast majority of the playerbase.
-
They'd need to make it interact with various killer powers, for one. But I'd also hate for it to replace 'normal' navigation.
-
Having now played (the first) Alan Wake, I think the voicelines are pretty integral to invoking the game of origin.
Gabriel, Ripley, Sable could definitely have done without the lobby lines. They’re rather generic, too. Aestri/Baermar have admittedly less generic lines, but they aren’t all that special either.
As for the killers, I think Pinhead nailed the frequency of the lines. Wesker overdoes it, as does Vecna. Chucky is also borderline too frequently for me, but he has a large variety of lines so it’s less noticeable.
Unknown gets away with having lines, as they’re much less “this trigger happened”. Singularity…less so, but at least he’s not too annoying about it. -
Using in game chat to work with survivors and killers to target individual playersThis can't be that common, can it? What are the odds, in regular matches, that you get killers and survivors that are in VC together, and work together? More than once in a single session?
These all sound like one-offs, to be frank.

The hackers are apparently now also targeting just random players. And if that's true we're all screwed. At lest that's what Choy says and I think he's a trustworthy source
Choy has been wrong before. Whether intentional or not, some of his claims have been rather exaggerated. Besides, I don't know what his source is, but if it's indeed a hacker, I'm not sure we can completely trust their word.
That said, I do find it disappointing Support isn't willing to tell them what they supposedly did. (Although they really should have hidden their names.)

Correct for Killers, but for Survivors, you missed Adam, Jeff, Felix, Élodie and Haddie (disregarding the alternate universe version that does have lore, OUR Haddie doesn't have a tome).
As much as I do enjoy Yui, it's almost funny how much 4/5 of these characters get abandoned (especially Jeff, who's lore conflicts DIRECTLY with his own Killer's tome).
Slightly embarrassed i forgot so many survivors, my word.

But haven't both of these characters already been featured in a tome before? Seperately.Correct.
I believe as far as original killers go, it's just Dredge and Unknown left at this point.

These are the only add-ons I ever run on Xeno. Cereal Rations is a great info tool, especially at the start of the game.

One of the tricks is that all player auras are revealed for 8 (?) seconds. That includes the killer, I think, unless you're undetectable.

And me as well: I already owned everything in that bundle except one charm, the Stuffed Crow. So I paid a whopping 21 auric cells to augment my crow charm collection.
As an Artist main, I can barely describe how happy I am to finally own that charm. It's originally from Rift 5, but I didn't play DBD yet back then.
