Another set unnecessary changes...

I forget who said it on these forums but they said it best.
It lives rent-free in their heads now. Any feedback regardless of having no relation to Dead Hard seems to be key to bring it out of them.

Pre patch it was being used by something like half or more of the high tier players. It made chases longer because they were more confusing for the killer and the survivor gave up almost nothing to have IW.
Now you either get an exhaustion perk or you get IW. That's a pretty hard choice to make.
Prepatch I used to run : Spine Chill, Iron Will and Sprint Burst. You could completely ignore the killer at ranges under 10m while they were chasing someone in a nearby loop. This build was neither fun nor fair to play against when you really stop and think about it.
It was fair.
Tracking someone with Iron Will didn't take much and every killer could do it.
Every killer.

Maybe accept some people have different experience.
I had a session last night with one of the forum members and we escaped majority of our games. At least 60%. No comms either.
Sometimes I also made huge mistakes but we managed.
I just don't see how surv is dead at all and can't understand how everyone is dying every game. It is either exaggeration or I dunno. I am also rusty by not playing much.
I played ace with iw and no exhaustion majority of the games too. I don't even think exhaustion is needed.
This is why I can't stand this forum currently and don't feel like posting and interacting.
It is either join everyone in their hive mind and don't admit your experience is different or get attacked for it.
The Forums ARE like this, mate. They always were and, most likely, always will be.
You don't have to join the hive mind, that is just wrong. Think of me, my friend. I have VERY unpopular opinions, but that doesn't stop me from posting them. I have the right to. You do too.
This is just how things are.
-
Iron Will should have been left completely untouched, to be honest.
There was nothing wrong with it.
-
Just learn to loop without DH, jeez.

Azarov's Resting Place.
Pro: The game chose this map on my very first DBD match. I was playing as a baby Claudette against a Huntress. A very precious memory of a better time.
Con: It got reworked.
-
Jeez, what has this thread become? It was supposed to be wholesome and, maybe, educational.
Not yet another pointless discussions.
Ah, I suppose I can always count on bad apples to ruin things related to MY killer, can't I? What a sad state of affairs.

I would definitely welcome old Freddy because current Freddy is extremely generic and boring
Thank you, mate ;)

From what I remember, there were some asking for a rework but more people were asking for simple buffs. On-release Freddy was a good killer that was nerfed in the first week of him being out due to people not knowing how to face against him. I think the devs back then panicked and nerfed him too quick.
If Freddy were reverted to on-release Freddy with some nice buffs that @GeneralV suggested such as survivors in the dream transition suffer from the incapacitated status effect until fully asleep and keeping the current gen teleporting power, then Freddy would be a unique tracking power killer able to debuff those in his dream world and can occasionally have map mobility. Most of all, you'd actually feel like Freddy Krueger when playing him.
Ayy, thank you!
When I made that Freddy concept, I aimed for a perfect power, and it warms my heart to see that I might have succeeded.
-
Ah, nice to see someone who understands!
I miss the old maps and atmosphere, my friend.
Certainly more than anyone does.
I love my dear Old DBD! I love it to death <3
-
Ah, what a pleasant surprise!
This, my friend, brings a smile to my face.
I have a video recommendation for you, and for everyone who is interested.

I don't think so.

I use it as a survivor sometimes, and the boost (when dropping down) is so situational that most times it doesn't appear.
Boil Over can be useful though on certain maps with lots of walls or buildings, as there are more chances the killer will have trouble going through a door or run into walls. It's also good enough if you have someone lining up to take a protection hit. It has "saved" me (read : I got downed 15 seconds later when the killer caught up) a couple of times, but it remains rarely useful.
It still deserves a shot from time to time, but definitely not a constant fixture in a build.
I love your name.

Some of my most exhilarating trials were against 3-gens Doctors. Back then, it was interesting.
Now...not so much.

Reversions.
COUNTLESS Reversions.

"I am a main killer so i will not lie, i might be kinda based"
Can killer mains stop giving their unwarranted opinions on an issue affecting SURVIVORS.
We're telling you solo queue is in a bad spot and you're responding with "Well actually as a killer here's all the reasons it's not."
Do you not realise how biased this is?
Agreed.
-
I, of all people, don't doubt the devs' ability to mess things up, but wow I did not expect that.
Individually, changes like the Thana buff and DH nerf are good. Combined with the rest of the patch and unnecessary changes...
The situation is really bad this time.
-
Pretty sure they do.
-
Yes, but they shouldn't be.
-
That was to be expected, unfortunately.
-
This "Survivor bad, Killer good" mentality is really annoying.

I agree. One of the reasons I liked Macmillan so much is because even though it was graphically updated, it was still one of the few realms that felt familiarly like old Dbd to play on. The lack of tile diversity is what kinda gave it it's charm imo. Besides we have still had the newer maps for the newer tiles so I don't see why they had to be added to the old ones.
It reminds me when they first added breakable walls to Macmillan. I'm just not a fan of Bhvr trying to make the old maps feel newer and I have a feeling someone like @GeneralV can agree with me here.
That I do, in a way.
However, the fact that they are changing those tiles doesn't really affect me that much, because they are making something that is already bad...well, worse.
People can call that map whatever they want to, but that is NOT MacMillan Estate. MacMillan has an unique moonlight and an unmistakable blue tint.
Those maps became something else the moment those things were removed.
If BHVR wants to make their terrible creations even worse...so be it.

Either or is pretty great. I think I'd prefer your way as well. I remember when those auras would eat through distortion stacks for any survivor in the dream world. That was pretty funny.
I know, right?
The amount of map control you could have with those auras...
Ah, great memories from better days.

Would his TR be like on-release Freddy with the 16m? I think it'd be interesting if they combined the on-release and old Freddy aspect of his TR:
16m TR, but survivor auras are not shown for 10 seconds after they leave his TR.
I originally thought about keeping his 24m TR and make the auras instantly revealed.
It is still a combination of on-release Freddy and Old Freddy, just the other way around.
-
You know, I do have a concept for a Freddy Rework that I would like to share.
I hope you like it ^-^
Pull survivors into the Dream World
-Survivors who are awake do not see The Nightmare.
-Once targeted by The Nightmare’s power, survivors enter the Dream Transition for 7 seconds.
-The Nightmare’s Movement Speed Penalty for putting a survivor into the Dream Transition lasts for 1 second.
-During the Dream Transition Survivors can see The Nightmare intermittently and they suffer from the Incapacitated status effect.
-When the Dream Transition Lapse, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.
Once in the Dream World:
-Survivor’s auras are revealed to The Nightmare when they are outside of his terror radius.
-Survivors suffer an action speed penalty of 40%.
-To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find non-sleeping Survivors to perform a wake up action.
-Failed Skill Checks can also wake up.
-Hooked Survivors wake up.
Special Ability: Dream Projection
-Teleport to a Generator in view. Releasing the button early will cancel the action.
-Survivors cannot interact with the targeted Generator.

It was definitely not warranted.
If there is one thing that should have been clear on the devs mind since 2017 is that you DON'T, under ANY circumstance, touch BBQ.
This was an awful idea.

Nice :)

Ya know when killers mention survivors are angry just because DH was nerfed?
Yeah it's people like you that are the reason why it's brought up.
Many on the DBD community are utterly incapable of having even an ember of empathy towards the other side, and automatically assume people are salty because their "crutch" was lost.
That is why they do it.

You would think after almost a year of everyone complaining, BHVR would’ve fixed the MMR but they obviously don’t care.
If BHVR cared, they wouldn't have introduced this system in the first place, to be honest.
It is like they are incapable of recognizing their mistakes and act accordingly. There is nothing shameful about reverting a change, even if it took time to implement it.
They have done it before.
They should do it again.
-
This update is like a random cave in Minecraft.
You might find one or two diamonds...but most of it is coal.
-
Judging by the few trials I played...bad.
But then again, Matchmaking has been horrible ever since MMR was introduced.

not sure if u are being idiotic or just trolling but, if u are running those perks and losing HAVE U CONSIDER CHANGING THEM?
or u just gonna focus on the fact that i said crutch perks ? and obviously u are annoyed that u lost too many games because MMR has been treating ya badly
That last bit is just straight up incorrect.
Everyone, and I mean what I say, EVERYONE complained about MMR. No matter if they were Survivor mains, Killer mains, or Both-Siders. Everyone complained about MMR because it didn't work.
It still doesn't.
-
Well...that was to be expected, sadly.
-
I think Wraith has always been fun, to be honest.
It mostly came down to how you were playing and the strategies you were using.
-
They..."tend" to the game, in a way, they just don't know how to do the right things.
-
Freddy, Myers, Pig, Wraith...
Pretty much anyone who was there when I started playing, except Legion.
-
A long time ago, I saw a lobby with 4 flashlights. Decided to make things a bit more difficult for them by using Lightborn.
Clicked Shadowborn by accident.

If your way to voice and opinion is to wish a game to fail and spread as much negativity as you can, so you feel good about it... I have no more comments on that.
Not someone I'd like to ever encounter, have a good one.
Me? Spreading as much negativity as I can? And feel good about it?
Hahaha, that is a new one. Kneel before my negativity, DBD Forums!
You know nothing about me, pal.
But, if you wish to cease the discussion, I will press the matter no further.
I respect other's opinions.

You don't expect me to what?
You always rant and wish DbD to fail. I like this game and even if I wouldn't... I'd just switch to a better game.
What's wrong with you?
There is plenty wrong with me, but that is besides the point.
If you like the game, good for you!
I don't, and if I believe DBD must take a loss for the devs to do better, then I can say it. As long as we don't break Forum rules, we are free to voice our opinions, regardless of whether other people agree or not.

I don't see the problem of recying but I can see why most of the community doesn't feel needing it. But can you see my pain? These are my offering pages. I think there's too much trash. Don't we all?
Those Splinters...they sure bring a smile to my face. I miss them so much.
I lost my last one due to a foolish mistake of deciding to prestige the one killer that still had them.
I will never forgive myself for that.

Wishing a game to lose players/fail just because you don't enjoy, quite stupid.
Do something better with your time then, lol.
Would have expected this from quite a few members, but not you, Seth.
So many people on the Forums wish for DBD to lose players, especially because that serves as an incentive for the devs to do better. To admit their mistakes.
