Every reworked map, for both sides.
But, if we take them out of the equation then the worst map in my honest opinion is Dead Dawg Saloon, both for Survivor and Killer.
-
All-Kill.
I bought because my friend dared me to. Never touched Trickster nor his Survivor, and never will.
I shouldn't have accepted that dare.

We love you too ❤️💜💙
@OP, just play Doctor, equip Iron Maiden and stop getting tilted over a play style.
We are (were, in my case) the Fog's finest, for sure <3

It certainly is.

I love them <3

Like the Mirror Mode?
Interesting.

Old stealth Freddy yeah he had like 0 terror radius combining those?
0 TR.
Most fun build I have ever used.
-
My favorite build is definitely from before 6.1.0
Like WAY before.
It is this one:
Now, this build does not work anymore, but by the Entity it was a blast in the past.
Long story short: Mirror Myers, but FAR more fun to play as and against.
-
Maybe they should be replaced with common and uncommon offerings, which will give you less chance than the rare one to go to those maps.
The possibility will be there, but not guaranteed.

I can tell you first hand that this strategy is not even remotely time efficient. I have tried it before but as always survivors can just play around it by simply putting the tape in front of your face. It may sometimes get you an extra stack here and there but it really isn't worth it, specially with how buggy sounds are.
I got it to work like once of twice. It's just tunneling but crappier and less reliable. And please don't compare it to legion for god's sake, it by no means secures a down.
Not as bad as Legion's then?
Good.
-
We certainly will :)
-
There is no such thing as survivors "always trying to make killers have bad experiences". That is just unrealistic.
Camping and tunneling are looked down upon because they are a pain to go against. Heck, they aren't even fun for the killer! I see no reason to use those strategies unless there is absolutely nothing else you can do to win the match.

Tell me that you wouldn't want to be chased by killers who looked like this:

Play perkless freddy. Literally most toxic build i have seen in my entire life. My wife and children have quite literally died due to this build. i am still mentally recovering and in therapy from the feddy incident of 27.7.2022.
Perkless Freddy is a threat.
I used this build against a SWF team, once.
They were never seen again.

Freddy definitely got hurt just as bad, but the worst part about Billy and Deathslinger is that their changes were purposely designed to make them feel worse to play, both mechanically and from a feedback perspective. That is the absolute worst way to normalize anything in any game ever. Potency adjustments and the like are one thing, but if your answer is to make them feel worse then all you're doing is intentionally dissuading people from using them.
Precisely.
And I'll never stop explaining and insisting those atrocious changes have to be reverted.

A rightious fight.
As it has always been.
Today marks its 3 year anniversary, as a matter of fact.
3 years since one lonely Freddy main took a good look at the results of Patch 3.1.0 and said:
"No."

That is what I fight for.
Same goes for Billy mains and Slinger mains.
We deserve our beloved characters back.

Boo ******* hoo. Nurse is overpowered, far too easy for how strong she is, and has been a problem for 6+ years. No tiny nerf will fix a mess of design like her. It needs to be ground up - no more crutches for nurse mains who can't play normal, actually challenging killers. It's not like DH got spared because its users really enjoyed it and got used to using it, so why should even more broken things like nurse be kept the same either?
And all three of those killers you mentioned are still perfectly fine, strong killers. Sure, maybe the hillbilly nerf knocked him down from S tier to low A tier, but deathslinger barely changed in strength. Freddy even got buffed! Changes aren't the end of the world.
I don't care about sheer strength, I never did.
All of those 3 have one thing in common: they feel bad to play. Their "reworks" removed everything good about them, and left only hollow shells in their place.
No player deserves to deal with that, like I did and so many others did.
It should not happen anymore.

Of course I do!
I am the most dedicated Old Freddy main in the entire Fog. I care about that killer.
More than anyone does.
More than anyone ever will.

With the case of Forever Freddy and Spam ADS Slinger, it was pretty necessary. It's not fun to play against a killer where matches take 10x as long or where you pretty much can do nothing but break LoS and pre-drop pallets. Btw, I'm a Slinger main and maybe 50% of my 1.5k hours have been playing Slinger. He's still pretty good, just most players are terrible with him and then give up. I think the Terror radius nerf was uncalled for, but that's another discussion for another time.
That is not the Freddy change I am talking about, and Slinger was fine as he was..
And it doesn't matter whether or not those killers have sheer strength. Freddy can still be used effectively and Billy is still good, but both of them are so damn boring and feel very bad to play.
That is what has to be adjusted, and that is what CAN'T happen with Nurse.
-
@Tsulan said:
Punishing legit players that put a lot of effort into learning a killer over the actions of some salty people sounds... healthy...
I honestly don't even care about their effort, I just don't want anyone else to endure what we Freddy, Billy, and Deathslinger mains were FORCED to endure.
-
As long as she doesn't get the Freddy-Hillbilly-Deathslinger treatment.
Do you have even the slightest idea of how frustrating and infuriating that is when it happens to the character you love?
I can understand being frustrated with Nurse, but no player deserves to go through that.
-
@INoLuv said:
He has to be weak, if a killer is strong they will get a nerf, survivors have a good time now that he is weak, this is what matters.
Then Blight should have gotten an overheat mechanic by now.
Freddy doesn't necessarily have to reach the absolute highest of Tiers. He just needs to stop being so damn boring.
-
It is almost impossible to fully understand the mind of someone who DCs.
I've seen a few DCs which were justified, but countless that were not. Both from Survivors and Killers.
-
@ByeByeQ said:
I miss original Freddy. There was a lot of bad about his power back then. But the upside was once he got you asleep you could run but you couldn't hide.
Most of Old Freddy's weaknesses were easy to solve though.
They should have just reverted his initial nerf (Patch 1.8.1) and given him the Incapacitated Status Effect during the Dream Transition.
Thats literally it. It doesn't take a full rework.
-
Expect the worst.
-
As usual, BHVR messed up.
Look, I can understand wanting to boost the kill rates, but they've chosen the worst possible way to do it. Instead of messing with the killer's basekit, they should have buffed perks that affect it, such as Fire Up and STBFL. That way, you get the stronger effect you wanted but you have to give a perk slot for it.
The way they did it gives you room to have those slightly stronger effects plus 4 slowdown perks stacked together. That isn't good.
If Prove Thyself was the perk people have selected to counter this new situation then, by all means, it should be used.

That's right; I've watched some vids of those crazy loops. Things were really kinda wild back then, not sure why anyone would actually want to go back to that. Didn't BNPs also finish gens instantly?
Insta-Gen BNPs did exist, but it is a very old feature. Patch 1.5.3 removed it, replacing it with a different BNP.
Later, Patch 2.1.0 added the BNPs we now know.

I don't even play the game anymore, so yeah.

They are. They both do the EXACT same thing. They allow you to circumvent your objective and still win. Moris can be stronger, but they also are the equivalent to keys because of the fact that they're fundamentally the same thing.
And all survivors have the possibility of keeping the killer at bay for an extended period of time. All they have to do is loop well.
Then this is where we diverge. I don't really see it that way.
I believe Moris are slightly different than Keys because they can be used faster. If all 4 survivors are still alive, the use of a key would have required all 5 gens to be repaired. A Mori, in the other hand, requires you to down a Survivor twice. The required actions to use a key and the amount of people who will benefit from its use varies, while Moris always retain the same levels.
And yes, a good Survivor can keep a killer at the bay for a good period of time, but it should be a bit longer for Moris to exist without problems.
-
@PapiFelixPSN said:
No. Unless, of course, you're willing to add moris back to the game. If I see a key, I can bring a mori. I'd be fine with that.
I don't think Keys and Moris are each other's equivalent, to be honest.
I think a Mori's equivalent is the possibility (or lack of possibility) of a survivor keeping a killer at bay for an extended period of time. If such thing exists in-game, then it is perfectly okay for Moris to be as powerful as they were.
-
Partially, I would say.
I am all in for reversions, but the hatch is a complicated matter.
Perhaps there is a healthy mix to be found between old and new.
And PLEASE revert its visual. The current one is ugly af.

Yeah, but whenever DBD-players dont like something, the mass-crying starts until it is changed. DBD-players are basically like Babies.
Like, nobody had a horrible gameplay-experience overall if they ended up on RPD once in a while.
And as I said, two small indoor Maps will also be quite miserable to play on. At least for Survivor, cant wait to play against a Nurse on those small Maps. Midwich 2.0 and 3.0...
Gotta get their attention somehow.

DBD has had countless of things come back but Freddy wasn't one of them. 😥
Sadly.
But I will never give up.
-
Ah, still in the fight I see. Good :)
Now, I strongly believe no version of Freddy can be considered a "Low Tier Killer" and this is a hill I will die on, but... He is just atrociously boring to play right now. You can still use him effectively, that much I tested myself, but you won't be rewarded for doing so.
The only fun thing about Freddy is the fact that you are playing as Freddy Krueger himself. But even that can be debatable, because he feels like a poorly done mix of Clown and Hag.
You know what my idea for Freddy is, and I am glad you agreed with it <3
I just wish the developers agreed too.
-
I honestly just want a bit of consideration for older or old fashioned players.
Now, I know, I know... This is a "me" thing, and not something with the game itself, because I have an undying passion for old DBD.
But...
A little bit of consideration for those who prefer the old ways could be nice.
A little bit would be FAR better than nothing.
-
Wholesome, you say?
Let me share something with ya.
