Ok, I agree. We ######### do deserve better than this.
A supposed "extra effort" event that doesn't even work? What is this?
-
Hopefully it will.
-
Yes, it has to be extended. It is not the absolute best compensation, but it is the least they can do.

Honestly even people like me who like the current content would go back purely for a more stable game. Sign me up
That is what I am talking about! My dear friend, we should embark on a journey.
Let us go back to a better time! I already have a few versions in mind.
-
Every change is a disappointment, and this event is no exception. Please, BVHR, let me go back to 2018. PLEASE!
-
I am glad I wasn't excited.
-
And here I thought I was going to level up some characters...but BVHR begs to differ, as expected.
-
Well, so does any game developer.
-
Sadly, this is not unusual and we all agree that it happens way too often. It is just something that you kinda have to learn to deal with.
And trust me, it could have been way worse. When the Stranger Things Chapter released, Matchmaking was nightmarish.
-
Arguably, Legion.
-
Nope. The last time I got excited for an event I left it disappointed. I want to avoid making the same mistake.
-
What is Behaviour doing? I don't know, I've been asking this question since July of 2019;

Wait so I did that wrong lmao good to know that I did that wrongly
Well, sometimes I did follow the unwritten rules. But not every single trial :)
-
I agree. Both of those perks could use some changes.

That sounds familiar but wasn't it if there was a dc? I can't remember correctly so I might be wrong.
I think a DC would lead to a farming game.
-
His lullaby itself is not directional. It never was, if I recall correctly.
-
Fun, yet underwhelming.

Unwritten rules don't exist anymore.
But some people that played this game like many of us before 2018 here are a few things.
1. A survivor waving on hook means that they are getting camp, just leave and do gens (now a days don't mean anything)
2. Don't BM unless you can take BM back.
3. The 2 gestures, 1, the point at them usually means the killer is overthere, sometimes they just want you to leave the gen or place, and the come gesture, usually just means that, if you want you can spam the come gesture and buttslap your teammates.
4. Don't steal from your survivor teammates, by that I mean don't item tech, don't steal their chest unless it's a medkit and you need to heal yourself.
5. Noed eyes, this is a very common thing from back in the day, if the killer has glowy eyes, yes just do totems, usually those killers use noed as their first perk, rarely you see glow eyes without noed.
6. If you are upset, just say ggs and move on, don't argue with people as it will only give you headaches.
7. Use bond to help yourself and not sandbag your teammates.
8. Be careful of using certain cosmetics like p3 claudette, you might get tunneled and sometimes your teammates will actually sandbag you if they see you hiding only.
Hopefully this helps a bit since I don't remember more unwritten rules.
I think I remember one from back in the day: last survivor gets hatch.

That's not what I see. I see matches totally controlled by the killer regardless of the survivors. It doesn't have to be Spirit, it can be a Huntress. Or a Blight. Or a Leatherface. The good killers in rank 1 are unstoppable, totally unless it is a top SWF and that leaves everyone else out. Too much buffing for killers, especially perks and maps are becoming very killer sided. I remember the Autohaven maps being a fair chance to win, now it is a free win for killer. Leatherface simply moves around the map instantly downing everyone due to no pallets.
If chests are in the game, why is it not balanced so there is enough time to loot them? With a fast killer, there is no time to loot or find totems so it turns into a win for killer. It shouldn't be balanced for a coordinated genrush ignoring chests and everything else in the game.
Still think too much is expected from the 4. They have to play perfectly, loop perfectly while it is easier for killer to not worry about those things.
"I remember the Autohaven maps being a fair chance to win, now it is a free win for killer."
Well, I agree that those maps were better before, though not for the same reasons.
-
Well, truth be told there is not much you can do. You can try to be unpredictable and guess what she is doing, but it is only going to take you so far.

I had hopes that BHVR wouldn't let thousands of console players down before the event
Yeah,that was your first mistake.
You need to know that BHVR doesn't care about its playerbase and is only concerned about how much more money they can get out of this game while blatantly lying on our faces before it completely dies one way or the other.
Your lesson?
Never trust this company

Honestly, this. It ia extremely rare for BVHR to listen to our Feedback and Suggestions. When they do, it is because of pure luck.

I whole-heartedly agree with this. There hasn't been a good "new" map in a while, and yes I am counting the Realm Beyond's Reworks when I say that.
In my honest opinion, the last good map to be released was Plague's map.
-
Well, the one time I dreamt about DBD did not come with crazy ideas, but the weirdest idea I've ever had was a Vigil rework.
Basically, Vigil would allow you to recover Exhaustion while running, but double the timer.
For example: Lithe causes Exhaustion for 40 seconds. Vigil would make it 80 seconds, but you would recover while running.

I would LOVE to go back to the patch before 5.0.0. I can live without Nemesis and a couple of survivors for 6 months if that is what it would take.
If such an option existed, I would go much further in the past. I can live without Spirit and everything released after her.
-
They will fix eventually...which, in turn, will break something else.

I think its more that prestiging used to kinda mean something, now with the prevalence of way better cosmetics, some even free, its lost its reason to exist.
I almost never use cosmetics from the Store, so for me it still has that special meaning.

They are either angry as hell, or they don't care at all.
-
Well, killers are not weak, survivors are just stronger when it comes to the highest level of play. However, not every game reflects the highest level, and when it comes to casual games killers were never completely helpless.
-
Freddy in A Tier? Finally a decent person here!
-
Usually when you play survivor you get bad teammates but when you play killer every survivor is Rambo.
-
Claudette, Quentin, Kate and Laurie are the ones I like to see. Since they are the survivors I usually play, seeing them in the lobby feels like I am playing with / against myself.
-
You've been playing for a very long time, have you not? When do you think the survivor experience was in its best state?

Agreed, but I believe it was even before that. The moment Patch 1.8.1 released, things were destined to go downhill eventually.

Hell yes lets just compare Demo with Freddy
Demo can shred this give you a close gap and can dmg vs Freddy blood pool yoy slow yourself by 15% to slow the survivor by 15% so you gain no distance and this power cant injure
Demo shred vs Freddy blood pallet survivor can just use their memory to counter that or be awake and its not like you can put the blood pallet everywhere.
Demo portal, you can put the portal anywhere at the cost of some time and they remove demo terror radius vs Freddy teleport can only teleport on a gen ounce every minute after the first minute of play and give the survivor a notification because of the blood spitting out of the gen.
Freddy power can be cancel by the survivor if they are awake vs demo that the only who can be remove is a use portal
Nope. Freddy is much stronger than Demo. Always was, always will be.
-Demo's shred has both an audio and visual warning, and can be dodged. Freddy's Snares can only be avoided if you leave the loop, which can result on a free hit. Or they will go through the Snare, which will also result on a free hit.
-Dream Pallets can catch even an experienced survivor off-guard, because it is really difficult to keep tabs on every single pallet, not to mention that sometimes they were placed in an area where said survivor hasn't explored yet.
-Demo's portals also have sound and visual warnings, and they can be removed after being used once. Freddy's teleport lasts until the last gen gets done, when it doesn't really matter if you can teleport or not.
A survivor is not going to stay awake forever, and his teleport has very little correlation with how many survivors are asleep, and it can be used mid-chase. Freddy has a counter that won't be available forever, while Demo's counter is always there.

He was already low A tier before the nerf now he is far weaker than that probably in the C tier. Honestly i think saying freddy is still a A tier killer is saying that Demogorgon is a A tier killer and Wraith is A tier as well but both those killer are in the B tier and both of them are far better compare to freddy
There is absolutely no way Demo and Wraith are better than Freddy.

While I do disagree with Trapper being that strong and my overall distrust of kill rates. But, I have an idea I'd like you to hear. Trapper changes, because in my opinion he needs buffs since competent survivors can crush him
1.Brown Bag base kit
2.Starts with 2 traps
3.Remaining traps spawn in the middle
4.Base 7 traps regardless
5.Traps now have a set escape time 20 seconds with 15 from another survivor
(In short total removal of RNG from his kit)
6.Add-on rework from mentioned changes
While you definitely made the good point a Trap can shutdown a loop. These traps can simply be disarmed or even walked around in some instances. And it simply takes him too long to set up with two traps often on the other side of the map which killer is forced to hinder themselves to use their power that can be disarmed. But, that is what I believe. So, what do you think?
That is actually a very good idea! I sure liked it.

Debaitable. Still. What isn't debaitable is that new Freddy is one of the stronger killers in game and not exactly mid tier. No matter how boring some people think he is
Precisely. New Freddy is at the low end of the high tier, and he is a powerful killer. But at what cost? A generic power, which fails to provide the fun and uniqueness that his old power did, despite its weaknesses. Of course this is subjective, but the majority of the community (myself included, obviously) seems to think that way.
I still remember the day he got reworked. That was my worst day of playing DBD. I don't even like to think about it. Giving us a toggle option between 2 powers doesn't take much, and it would make everyone happy. Such a simple solution.
-
I honestly have no idea if that bug is still in the game or not. I don't use Snares.

Me about to read TheClownIsKing's new thread:

Old Freddy was notoriously weak. Maybe the weakest ever released
New Freddy is powerful and can 4k most matchs no problem. The number of snares is fine. The dream mechanic is fine. His add ons suck and I wish they'd change them. But that's most killers TBH
"Maybe the weakest ever released"
Not even close. His on-release version was stronger than every other mid-tier killer available at the time, and even after his initial nerf he never made to low tier. Freddy was always a mid-tier killer, if you knew what you were doing.

With that perk setup yeah he's gonna be super boring. I like spicing it up with the machine gun glove hand build. BBQ/PGTW/Brutal Strength/STBFL. By limiting it to only PGTW for slowdown I force myself to do chases and do them fast and make sure to hit the priority generator. The Brutal and STBFL make it a lot more kinetic and fun imho.
I usually go with BBQ / Ruin / Brutal Strength and Thanatophobia. A pretty generic build, but it does its job.

2v6, maybe. 2v8 would be unwinnable for killers.
Yeah, 2 v 6 sounds way better, imho.
-
All of this because of the boy cot?
-
Thankfully, I almost never see him.
-
Usually I play normally. No uses this perk without a plan.
