It bothers me how many people seem to hate Meg for no reason. I see people call her ugly which I think couldn't be further from the truth. To each their own but I find her beautiful.

I also see a lot of people just casually dismiss her as useless, a noob player's choice of character, someone who always screws things up for the rest of the team, hides in lockers, ignores hook saves, etc etc etc. I really don't know how any of this got started - I'm admittedly biased because I DO like Meg so much (I like her feisty personality, her matching looks, her seemingly endless great cosmetics, her love of cats, etc.) - but even if I didn't like her, I still couldn't agree with the negative stereotype that seems to exist regarding her. In the half a year I've been playing I don't ever see anything consistently bad about Meg (or most characters for that matter).

To be honest, I've been playing Meg a lot recently. She grew on me a while ago before the model update and she's one of my favorites I like to play. I don't like to say I main a survivor anymore because I play so many of them but she's one of my favorites. Usually the Meg's in my games are rockstars. They usually get the killer to chase them for a good 2-3 gens. There have been some Meg's that hide, ignore teammates on hooks or wait for the team to die for hatch but I don't see it nearly as often as I do with Claudette's. The rockstar Meg's is what made me wanna play her tbh. Sounds dumb but it broke the stereotype for me and when I play Meg, I am already altruistic but I'll take on a chase if a survivor is on death hook and I have another hook state in me to spare.

As killer when I see a Meg I know one of 3 things is about to occur: 1) they're going to be great loopers. 2) They're about to be toxic as on the killer side I see them being toxic which hurts me personally. 3) They're newer players and easy pickings. I don't tunnel or go hard on newer players if I detect they babey

Tldr; I agree as a fellow Meg lover. I too also don't think she is ugly.

I've NEVER encountered a camping hag, intresting take

Because they normally don't. Lol it's so rare I come across a face camping Bubba - they're [face camping bubba's] mostly found in brown ranks or Hags either. Hags I suppose get the rep they camp because they can instantly teleport if you dumbly trip a trap to begin with. Recently I was playing with my friends and I did wind up getting face camped by a Hag but she was a baby Hag and she wanted to chase me for all 5 gens without using her main power of the traps. She was a brown rank Hag. Versed 3 Bubba's alone today and none of them camped. Point is, less skillful killers camp whereas the purple and red rank, sometimes green ranks use time and skill efficiently. I just don't see it happening as often as people say it does.

Then there are just some people that want to watch the world burn so they camp for the lols I suppose.

  • Love the map when I'm playing RE2 but I've come to despise it in dbd. I count my blessings I usually have Windows of Opportunity on in my build when rpd gets randomly selected. The map just sucks. I'll attempt to play on the map as survivor but that map is so garbage for killers except Hag. I'll never get over how much every player has been robbed of what could've been with the raccoon streets and maybe only the inside or at least inside + bottom floor only (with not every room that's in there currently). That imo would've been a great map. I've become salty.

I haven't gotten that map in a couple days tbh. When I did it was versus a Mikey who couldn't use tier 3 to its full extent because the map is so freaking big with lots of hiding spots and we were all pretty far away from him. He didn't get a lot of value of his tier 3. Ever. I felt for him. God I hope they redo that map sooner rather than later.

  • I... Actually do not know. I like my cute little outfits and welcome the chase. I tend to wear the outfits that scream, "hey come chase me". I did kinda play with some cosmetics before. Kate with the black jacket, black pants and dark hair if you align yourself just right in like bushes or corners, killers walked right past me all the time. Only issue with that is the white part of her shirt with the jacket can give you away.

Tapp's P3 can be a good alternative. So can Adam's P3 maybe with darker cosmetics. Also Elodie's reindeer cosmetic surprisingly blends in well with the bamboo sticks with grass or whatever that is of the Yamaoka maps for some reason.

  • I love how this thread turned into story time of survivors holding this game hostage. Lmao

I was against a Hag once in this map. Oh my, it was actually scaring!

I've played Hag so much on rpd but as survivor, I've never gotten a Hag on it and I count my blessings because as a Hag main, I know how deadly she is on that map.

I see a lot lotta doctor on it tho

  • From a DS user that tells you everything you need to know. 🀣🀣🀣

  • You know what's super odd? Depending on what build I'm using is what survivors I'm being teamed up with. For instance, I use Kindred and Small Game on my Nea for solo and anytime I'm in a match with Nea my teammates always have Kindred but when I play Jill / Claire who is my locker build, there is no kindred. But there is a lot of Head On teammates.

    It really is strange.

But if it is about choice, why is it fair that you can decide to go against keys or not, but survivors are not allowed to choose to not go against certain killers or perks or addons?

There is a disparity, that doesnt seem fair to me.

So maybe its just about preparation, not choice? And you just misuse the system for your advantage.

Survivors were never meant to see the killer or their perks? Killer can't see survivor perks. All they see is a character and some items. How does a killer know they're about to face a sabo squad? They don't. They can see a toolbox and assume there's a bnp in there or add ons for sabo but they only see a toolbox. But sabo squads are completely out of a killers control - especially if they bring saboteur but that's not what this discussion is about so I digress.

I haven't played this game since 2016 but I imagine that's what was intended. The killer can see the "prey" to know who they're hunting and survivors logically don't know who the hunter is whilst they're the prey and that was supposed to be the horror part of the game. Obviously this has changed a great deal since then. The game is no longer hide and seek and more calling each other morons because they can't loop for longer than 30 seconds.

If it is about prep and not choice then how can a killer prep in time if a survivor last second swaps at the 6 second mark? Realistically, how they can prep as soon as 6 seconds hits but survivors literally have all the time in the world? Survivor items can really change and alter the game and I think that flies over people's heads quite frequently. If there's 4 flashlights and you don't face the wall perfectly, a survivor can potentially blind you from an unknown angle. So much of these flashlight saves cost the killer the game. This has never happened to me but I do know sometimes it can be so bad you barely get any hooks because a survivor goes down out in the open. This usually leads to killer playing like an ######### then survivors in post game chat are toxic because you played like an ######### because they decided to last second switch to 4 flashlights. Now if the killer had time to prep, he could've put on Franklin's or Lightborn so survivors would get to have the items they want into play and killer can just go on about the match trying to play it as normally as possible. Survivors don't aim to give the killer a good time when they last second swap, it's basically signaling to the killer, "######### you, we're gonna bring what we want and make sure there's nothing you can do about it so we don't have to worry about Franklin's or Lightborn ruining our plays or bully attempts." At least to me, that is the message that comes with last second swapping.

These last second switches only breed toxicity.

  • This happened to me as Spirit once. Two survivors last standing and they refused to do anything. I searched for them for over an HOUR. I finally found one hiding in the corner of the map - this 2 man refused to end the game probably out of spite that I was spirit to begin with but I refused to DC so I chilled on a hill and made myself something to eat, came back and they're still hiding. Game finally ended when they realized I was not going to DC. Anyone who says that isn't holding the game hostage hasn't played killer and had this happen to them. It's just as bad as a killer body blocking a survivor in to hold the game hostage.

    I hope you reported them.

  • Pig can be broken on that map. Regular Pig can get head pops more frequently on that map just by placing traps and it's already incredibly in her favor. Unless it's me then they usually get it off first box they find -.- I used Amanda's Letter on rpd and did alright but on that map, I'm less focused on winning at the end and allowing survivors to boop the snoot if they get out.

Hag can also be broken on that map. Bring rusty shackles and survivors will flop.

The dirtiest thing you can do with either Hag or Piggy (well any killer but it's deadliest with these two) is blindness builds. I used a blind Hag + devour build on her and whilst they found my devour fairly quickly, it took them ages to find the totem for Third Seal which hurt them tremendously.

Best way to get head pops are on that map which should tell the devs the map is too big but we all know it isn't changing anytime soon.

  • Okay so to my understanding of the box...

Basically, you know the chain hunts. The chain hunts will grow in intensity, harassing the survivors. The box, if a survivor obtains it (or holds it hostage... πŸ˜’) Will delay the chain hunt on everyone else. The hunt will only affect the person holding the box. The person holding the box will have this neat little tune as you hold it but you're oblivious to pinhead and his terror radius. This isn't a big deal if you're observant enough in your surrounds. Anyway, when a survivor has the box, they can solve the box. A successful solve will basically reset the chain hunts timer before it starts being active again. If pinhead teleports to whoever opened the box and makes them drop the box, the chain hunt resumes as before the survivor picked up the box, giving another survivor a chance to solve the lament configuration and temporarily end the chain hunt.

If pinhead finds the box, he can open it and all survivors will scream, revealing their location. I believe the point of the box for Pinhead is to keep survivors from delaying the chain hunt as it's a big part of his power. This is why I have such an issue with survivors just holding the damn thing hostage all game without actually solving it.

And yes, I don't think survivors should see the aura from legit all the way across the map. The iridescent add on should be base. Also just makes it easier to race over to hold it hostage.

    Hope this maybe helped. :)

  • @The_Krapper said:

The chain hunt starts for the person holding the box while the other survivors don't have to worry about it , I think in order to prevent this the only real change he needs is to be allowed to teleport to anyone holding the box because right now you can mess with him and spam the open box button and force him into abandoning a chase and trying to teleport but being unable to do it because someone is trolling

Are people legitmately spamming the solve button to troll this man [pinhead] ? I knew a strat people were doing were opening the box way way away from teammates so he'll chase in an area that's useless to him. But to legit troll? I wouldn't say I'm not entirely surprised if people are trolling with the box.

  • @AlbinoViera said:

So, we shouldn't punish the people who DC and ruin everyone else's match for reasons such as:

    • Not liking the map.
    • Not liking the killer.
    • Going down once.
    • Going down twice.
    • Going down thrice.
    • Getting hit through a pallet/window.
    • Getting hooked.
    • Someone missing a save of any kind.
    • Someone getting a save of any kind.
    • A survivor wiggling out.
    • People body blocking to the exit.
    • Missing a swing.
    • Gens getting done quickly.

Because some people have a bad experience a couple times out of thousands of games?

From my own experience as both survivor and killer, those times are so rare I can't even recall the last time it happened. But people DC'ing for the above reasons, I could probably list a few hundred cases, within a similar number of games, while the DC penalties were off, and even while they're on.

Sadly, the extremely toxic players will always be toxic and find ways to ruin someone's day, but they're much fewer in number than the other kind that leave the match as a 3v1 and/or give the 4 others less points/pips and a less enjoyable match.

Dc'ing is toxic .... ? Sure it's an ass move to do / selfish thing to do but toxic? I think that's stretching it just a bit.

Yes. I'm like all the way through the pallet, and they somehow still drop it on me.

Idk if this is this way for you too but when I play survivor, I rarely make it to the pallet to get a stun or I get to the pallet and the button to pull down pallet don't show and I'm like guess I'm dying then πŸ™ƒ but survivors when you're killer are suddenly beasts at the pallets it's wild.

  • Yes.

    No.

    Yes.

######### no keys are not balanced - No. Burn and banish all keys. Never wish to see one in my sight ever again.

  • Just had an encounter with a Bubba. He didn't face camp but from the get go of the game, he knew what was up immediately. I had the locker build on just trying to have some fun instead of being so serious with my matches and he kept dancing in front of the locker twice because he just knew I had the locker build. Messaged him after he won the game saying ggs it was funny to me you knew what was up from the get go. He knew which survivor I was instantly. It was just a neat short conversation. It's not everyday I find a killer who has their messages open and wanted to spread some good luck in future games.

Contrary to popular belief, not every survivor who dies is salty. :)

  • Definitely not just you. Can be way on the other side of the pallet at a, use to be anyway, safe distance and still get stunned. Gotta love them hitboxes eh?

  • Yep. I'll never forget when I was a baby rank 12 ghostface and got matched with literally all rank 1's. :')

Match making is so jacked in this game, I don't ever think it'll ever fully balance even with this SBMM coming out.

Okay, but how often are killers going to be able to prepare accordingly? At least for me, I very rarely see people changing items last second, although I play solo so maybe it’s a SWF thing.

Like 85% of the time swfs do it but I was just in a game with my swf with a random and they last second switched to a key. Oof. I've seen many randos do it. Still annoying to see it even as survivor. Been screwed from those keys one too many times. So I hate it as both killer and survivor.

  • I just had my first crash as so many others have complained about yet I never previously experienced it. So yeah, it's still a Trainwreck over on console. I feel you. Just gotta hang on until another "fix" comes I suppose. :/

  • @miketheratguy said:

Ghostface wrecks me pretty consistently. It's aggravating. I hate the lack of terror radius anytime, for any reason. It's taking away one of the few defenses that a survivor has in this game. And I know that killer mains hate to hear this but I'm sorry, Wraith is a massive, dull, irritating PitA for the same reason (and several more). I'd honestly rather face Nurse over Ghostface more often than not, and it's gotten to the point that I'd take Nurse 10 times out of 10 over Wraith. Maybe even Spirit as well. At least with those characters I know that the match isn't going to consist entirely of me looking all over the place, not being allowed to focus on my tasks, because the killers are just sneaking for the entirety of the match.

The only killer I'd make an exception for regarding the lack of a terror radius is Michael, because quietly observing his prey is basically what defines him. Don't have a problem with any of the other killers in terms of consistent losses. Maybe Hag but (fortunately) I rarely see her anymore.

Yep. That's my frustrations with Ghostface. It doesn't help I'm always found first. Always. Not just with Ghostface but every killer. I'm not even exaggerating. I don't know if I'm doing something to attract attention to myself, I'm the only one with the guts to hop on a gen immediately aka teammates are hiding or if my unluckiness is shining proud as I'm seriously unlucky, I can never catch a break in the game or in real ######### life. But it's annoying when he gets a gen grab despite me looking everywhere or him coming out of nowhere. Or just getting a free hit and I fumble the looping because I'm still reeling of ######### just happened with slight annoyance. Revealing him doesn't work for me so I'm kinda just screwed lol

I don't care for Wraith either as a stealth killer. 10x frustrating when you're working on a gen down in house of pain for example and he whacks you out of nowhere because silent bell. His buff also seems insanely too much. I knew he needed a movement speed buff but this seems too much of a buff. The only reason I didn't list him was because I can last longer. He's just more of a nuisance than anything.

Now Pig and Myers are tolerable. They're decent. I will die bopping the snoot. And if I die to scratch mirror Myers 🀷 fine, fair enough. Lol

NOED has been fun to use. It is best paired with lightborn and franklins for maximum salt.

Lol I always find NOED so spicy to go against. It's the epitome of jUsT dO bOnEs 4head

It's how I also know what else my team has been doing other than doing gens. Usually it's me that finds all the bones but when I leave it only one or two gets cleansed. Real eye opener, eh?

P3 Nurse that has 50,000 hours and has memorized every map. This Nurse player runs five miles every day and goes to the gym, alternating between upper body core and leg strength. Their hearing and eyesight were blessed by the gods, and their map sense is beyond reproach.

The moment this Nurse exhales, three survivors are already on the hook. You were left alone, last, and unable to save anyone. You wondered why, at least until you saw that she brought a Cypress Mori.

God that is the stuff of nightmares... But yeah a p3 Nurse and you know it's already ggs. Especially in the scenario you listed and 5 gens are still up.

    @bedlord said:

Huntress. I absolutely suck balls at dodging hatchets, i can dodge slinger perfectly fine but huntress just does not compute with my brain. It certainly doesn't help that most huntress players are pretty experienced

This is pretty opposite for me?? I can dodge a decent huntress. A deathslinger however? I get destroyed. It's like no matter how much I swerve, how much I try to predict where he's gonna shoot, the mofo gets me anyway. I don't understand it either how you can dodge one but not the other lmao we're just unlucky I suppose.

  • This is gonna make me sound so materialistic or... Idk the word but legit all I want from the rift is two things: the floaty charm and Nea's skateboard top. That is it. So yeah I guess it is lacking if all you want from it are two things. πŸ˜‚

  • @OrangeJack said:

    Plague when on solo queue

    Solo queue is pain.

  • Okay so. First off, welcome to the community! Secondly, the best way to get better at chase is to get IN chases. Don't worry about being a god looper or being as good as the YouTubers you watch. They've had lots of practice and that's what it comes down to: practice.

For beginners perks, you can go with Lightweight. It'll make your scratch marks fade quicker if you're into evasion but I highly recommend you get into chases. You'll need to learn how to actually run when you get up in ranks.

Meg has 3 perks, Adrenaline, Quick and Quiet and Sprint Burst. Adrenaline is an endgame perk. If you can make it to the end this will be a great and sometimes clutch perk. Quick and Quiet make for sneaky escapes and Sprint Burst is an exhaustion perk. Not my favorite exhaustion perk but definitely good for beginners. Out of her 3 perks I'd say go with Sprint Burst.

Nea has the perks: Balanced Landing (which is my favorite exhaustion perk because it personally fits my playstyle which I feel a lot comes to building a personal build is finding the perks that best personally suit you) but balanced can make it where you jump from a great height and not take a stumble which is a few seconds kinda immobilized as you hit the ground. With balanced, you keep going. Great when paired with quick and quiet but not necessary. Urban Evasion is another perk of hers that is more Houdini. Just allows you to crouch faster. Street Wise has always been confusing to even me but I think my understanding of it the perk is (and anyone can feel free to correct me) it's almost like Felix Richer's perk build to last? Basically makes your supplies aka med kits, toolboxes, etc stretch. Out of these 3 I'd say either Balanced or Urban.

David... I'll save you the trouble and say only Dead Hard and We're Gonna Live Forever is worth it. With WGLF, you get tokens for unhooking, taking hits, flashlight saving, pallet saves and extra bloodpoints! Dead Hard is often misused. A lot of people use it avoid damage which if can if times right but it's more to use distance. This might help you make it to a pallet or a widow to loop. If you use it to avoid damage, killers are only gonna fall for it once and bait you to do it just to smack you down. So yeah, dead hard for distance. Out of these, Dead Hard. Definitely.

Jake has one of the most meta perks in the game... Iron Will and boy can it be powerful. Iron Will from Jake. 100%.

Feng has the exhaustion perk Lithe which is a Sprint Burst when you vault a pallet or window. Good for escaping chases or getting to another loop.

Kate has the best chase perk imo which is Windows of Opportunity. This perk allows you to see the aura of all windows and pallets nearby and while you're on a gen, you can look around and plan an escape route via what you see. You can also see what has and hasn't been used so you don't put yourself in a dead zone. Her perk Dance With Me is also good for escaping chases and part of the Houdini build family.

So maybe a build like: Windows, Lithe / Dead Hard (it's best to only use one exhaustion perk so choose whichever you feel benefits you more), Iron Will, Quick and Quiet.

But engaging in chases is really the best thing you can do to get better. Good luck! I believe in you. πŸ€—

  • I think one reason why people shame perks so much if you noticed are the same perks always used. DS, Unbreakable, freaking SOUL GUARD at times for crazy plays, Dead Hard, Pop, Ruin, BBQ, Undying, Tinkerer. It's basically become like ice cream and people are only getting one flavor. People want to see variety but there also lies the problem. You can't go outside the meta as survivor because killers bring the perks that work, the perks that get them the W's and killers can't go outside the meta because survivors will be glued to the gens as any killer knows you can have great pressure but the moment you take your foot off the gas even slightly, it can all be over which comes down to this: competitiveness. People want to win. They want to escape, they want the 4k. So when the other side plays better or outplays hard, the perks are always the go to spot to hit with salt. Egos come into play and things aren't pretty.

To be honest, noed doesn't even freaking bother me anymore. I see it or Devour and it's just so spicy. It's different than the average build. An endgame build? Man do I want to live to tell this tale. Honestly the end game perks are the most thrilling to me game play wise as a survivor. The stakes are at its highest. I am typically bored always seeing ruin + Undying+ BBQ + Pop. The builds are just boring in this game but they work. I guarantee if killers always brought perks that were trash, there'd be less complaints and way more, "gg ez" "trash perks for a trash player lols" instead of, "BBQ, Tinkerer, Infectious, pop on Nurse..... Wow. Can you be anymore tryhard? You're playing the best killer in the game you don't need those perks."

Ego, boredom and competitiveness is a powerful thing my friend.

  • @CornHub said:

People do this on any platform & the forums aren't an exception. I remember someone having a point saying "this loop on RPD is nearly an infinite" & most of the comments were just saying ruin+undying opinion discarded. Like the problem is still there guys

I think I know which infinite they're referring to and I agree it is dirty when I discovered it as well.

But yeah, gotta love the ruin + undying salt & defense arguments.

  • My friend gifted me $20 for my birthday today so I used it to buy all of Demo's cosmetics and Nancy's sweater. I plan on getting the rest asap. Even though I don't play Steve much, I don't want to sit back, look at a Steve in the lobby and find myself wishing I could buy that cosmetic I'm seeing because I'm suddenly feeling it.

  • I think the 50% off cosmetic sale is until September 1st? Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it's from August 18th to September 1st. My friend got me a $20 digital gift card as the sale started on my birthday today so I got all of Demo's cosmetics and Nancy's Christmas sweater. πŸ€— I'll have to get the rest when I can. Still so sad to see the ST content go though. I don't think I've ever been attached to a chapter as much as this one.

  • The fact this thread is still going about cakes even when the event and use for them have come and went....

  • Well I uh. Got a 3k with demo because of noed, it's going pretty well lol not normally a perk I use but I'm basically starting from scratch with demo since I never really committed to him until now. But yes, fine day thanks. I hope you are doing well. ❀️

  • This game is so full of ego I bet the casual mode would be hella neglected.

  • Same as before to be honest. The SBMM didn't really affect me much but I've been wondering if literally everyone has the "unhook teammates" archive challenge because I've legit haven't been able to get any unhooks because everybody has been so thirsty for them and I don't know why. My build goes out the window. My build at this moment is speedy heals for the team to get back in the game quicker (I already completed the archive challenge) but everyone is just so thirsty for these unhooks. At least I'm pipping through chases and totems. That's something at least lol

I like Hellraiser. I'm a fan of Clive Barker's work.

But I'm worried that Pinhead is basically going to be Deathslinger + Pyramid Head. I really, really hope he's more interesting than that and also fun to play on console, but if it's a ranged chain attack plus a new kind of "punished" thing, that would almost certainly be disappointing.

This. Highkey tired of ranged killers. I don't care for Pinhead or Hellraiser but I at least want him to be unique.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but Scott had said something about their being no collaborations for FnaF in the near future.

Also with his upcoming retirement after he passes the franchise off to a trusted person (if he hasn't already), it's highly unlikely a deal would be struck to add FnaF into the game. Maybe when the new developer for the franchise is in place, but it doesn't look like it'll happen anytime soon.

Yeah... You literally cannot trust anything that man says. At all. Even though I don't think he was genuinely trolling this time when he said it, he did say, "there will not be any collabs this year." Meaning 2021. I heard these chapters take a year to make? Not quite sure how true that is, (if someone could clarify or confirm that I'd actually really like that as I've always been curious how long it takes to make a single chapter / paragraph) but if so, Scott could've signed a deal before retirement. I've also seen on the Fnaf Reddit that dbd has expressed interest to Scott about having Fnaf but then again, I've also heard some devs are split on it so I don't know how true that is either.

But I genuinely don't think he was trolling this time. I too, don't think there will be any Fnaf x dbd Collab anytime soon. Plus I think he said something like wanting to focus on Fnaf solo or something like that idk. Point is, the man is an epic troll so you can't take everything he says at face value but this time I think we can.

  • I mentioned this in another comment of mine but yes I'm gonna buy cosmetics. Maybe the remaining cosmetics I needed for Nancy, some of Steve's and of course... Demo boy. I refuse to let him hunt in the fog naked forever. So one I'm definitely getting is the chains one. That's always been my favorite. :)

  • Yeah, that's gonna be a sad time. The new players making a post on here inquiring about the killer that wasn't in the wiki they briefed up on reading before buying the game. I'm gonna miss recommending demo to people who just want a cool killer to play. Both balanced and meme-y. I'm just gonna miss demo man.

  • Am I the only one that is yes, concerned about the licensed characters futures as well but feel many people are being dramatic that this is the end of dbd? That's not meant to be condescending or anything, I just know dbd is doing well financially. Too well. I don't think it is the end at all. Just a heartbreaking end. You never know, if dbd ends for good, I'll eat my words but I think it'll be fine after the dust settles and everyone accepts it. :)

Near important gens and other important locations (i.e. maybe near an exit gate if the survivors are doing well) preferably not in view of the survivors, and close to places they'll be but not so close they can hear it once activated. Near a cluster of lockers can also occasionally pay off, killer instinct will still show any survivors in them. Oh and top of the basement stairs is a good one and combines nicely with MYC.

Have you legitmately caught people in lockers before through his portals?? I've never seen that happen that's actually so funny if you have.

  • Man. Let me tell you this timing sucks. The end of my favorite killer's sale begins on my birthday. What a present... :/

And no worries friend, I'm gonna main him and git gud with him. I refuse to let him drift off into the sunset as a distant memory.

Aside from this news though, I hope your holiday was good. :)

When the sale comes I'm buying every Steve outfit and his Ugly Sweater (not getting Jonathan though, he's not Steve) and become a Steve main.

I feel that. I have to buy all demo puppy's cosmetics, I refuse to let demo go out naked for all eternity.

According to SteamSpy, the FNaF series is up to almost eight million copies in sales.

According to Reddit, Silent Hill, as of December 2018, has sold over 9 million copies.

Resident Evil is apparently at 110 million.

If we're going by sales metrics, I think Silent Hill is just as niche as FNaF is, at least compared to RE. I don't really have a horse in this race because I'm not really into horror as a genre, but I do think that roughly 75% of the flak FNaF gets on these forums is due to obnoxious insistence on its inclusion, but a solid 25% or more is just trying to gatekeep a young franchise out.

As much as people might hate it, FNaF's meteoric rise to fame has given it an iconic status as a horror franchise, no less than SH or RE.

(And isn't RE halfway down the action genre anyway, rather than horror?)

"Isn't RE halfway down the action genre anyway?" Mhm. The first 4 games focused on its horror and 5 & 6 notably were the most action based Resident Evil games. They're not all that well loved in the RE community. 7 & 8 sees the games take it back to its horror roots. A good turn around of a decision on Capcom's part.

This doesn't include the other games by the way like Revelations' series, Code Veronica, etc. Just main storyline.

I don't really want SpringTrap for the same reason I would hate "Tree" to be the next survivor.

Tree from Happy Death Day?? The first movie was good, the second kinda sucks but as much as I love the first movie, I don't think it should be added either. Babyface would legit just be like Legion with a mix of Myers / Ghostface or pig. Hard pass on HDD too.

Hmm...I don't think we want to spring that trap...

    ...I'll see myself out.

Nobody can deny this was clever. Lol

  • You're all wrong, the next killer is Elmo! Legendary skin is Big Bird!
