facepalm
Again there's a reason people new to the game consider this a frustrating mechanic. I'll leave you to work out why people find so much frustrating in this game but not in games from a much more renowned developer.
Tried to google it but couldn't find this "facepalm" game you are talking about. Can you please tell us what other games have a hooking mechanic so we can compare? Thank you :)

If you got the skills to loop and stuff you just need information, and the best information build you can get is Kindred, Bond, Better Together and Spine Chill. This is useful for you and also your teammates, solo Q feels like playing with friends on comms but way better with this build.

Why not call them Exquisite skill checks instead?
I like the way you think, you are hired.

Kinda meh, TBH, but then again I'm more used to games like Divinity: Original Sin 2, where I can set the battlefield ablaze if and when I choose to.
What a great game.

Exactly, as someone with German roots, even I'm not comfortable talking about WW2, and it kinda disregards those who died in the war
I think ignoring or avoiding a especific topic is more harmful than beneficial. What about the movie "the great dictator", for instance?

I don't believe you. You might not have a problem with it, but you're smart enough to see why there is a problem with it.
We got plenty of video games about WW2 already.

Oh boy ww2 killer would be neat, but... I dont think bhvr would cross this line, given how serious the topic is.
I think it would be perfectly fine. I honestly don't see any problem with that.

I don't care about the rest, they can stay.

"Someone please come up with an idea to replace the [BAD WORD] hatch"
I suggest "the window". It does exactly the same but it's a window instead.

Please no, despite never running obsession perks i often end up being the obsession :/
-
Run Kindred next time. You can't expect other survivors to know what to do if you don't provide some information.

They have a power, which requires you to mess up to playing instadown (bubba can be juked, ghost face looked at, Micheal just don't let him stalk you by LOS blockers) the perks that allow for insta downs ( devour- it's a hex, make your choice- they have to be 32 feet away for it to work which is more than enough time to run, noed is a hex so totems, I can't think of anything else so please tell me if I missed something).
All these have counters, that don't rely on you giving up pressure. Please tell me how Ds doesn't rely on you to slug (remove pressure form the hook) and UB doesn't stop you from slugging forcing you to hook in disadvantageous positions.
Soul guard doesn't have a down side, plus it gives resilience for a bit.
Tell me how DH has a downside (no, it's cooldown isn't what I would class as a downside, most perks that have a cooldown do a lot DH isn't an exception). Deliverance I agree, and that's balanced.
But killer has noed, for second chance perks that's not a lot in comparison. And it can be countered rather easily .
So maybe get the killer some more. Maybe one like- once every 80s if they miss a swing it hits anyway.
Or how about. Once a game, you can kill a survivor who's at least on second hook phase. Only one. And they have to get them downed .
You know, a killer second chance perk that doesn't have counterplay.
Was about to give a proper reply till i read this "once every 80s if they miss a swing it hits anyway", then i was like "nah, not worth it" :)

No, because that takes their powers. That's not equivalent. Also most have a downside.
Second chances on the survivor side don't have a "downside" except that they may not be as good as other second chances.
Some survivors perks leave you in the broken status effect or some others can be used only once, they have their "downsides" too. Some killer instadowns have "downsides" and some others aren't even a perk, they have it in their base kit.
-
They got plenty of instadowns, which is kinda the equivalent for killers.
-
Just because they don't do what you want doesn't mean they don't listen.
-
If you are not on the hook, do gens and leave. If you are, run Kindred and pray for having smart teammates who let you die. Giving 1K to this kind of killers is one of the most satisfying things, etiher if i'm the one who dies or leaves.
-
He ignores finding other survivors while in a chase or finding multiple in the same spot, for instance. Not vaild.

Too many people complaining about everything *
-
Haha, i feel you. Hate mail feeds me too :)
-
I just don't. Even if that means i gotta lose the match.
I play for fun.
-
Especially when i see them teabagging, that means they found the hatch. UNLESS they played like bots, then i make sure i take the killer to them before getting downed.

It's even worse if you have an overly aggressive spell checker that auto completes a word before you even type it (often with incorrect words). Lol. I always manually disable my auto spell checks now.
Yeah, i always disable them, no matter what language i'm using lol

Thanks for the massage

It's not childish, you just don't have sense of humor.

"the game already costs 120 quid for the full experience"
you've never played an mmo, have you? xD
-
Good job at hiding the names.
-
So basically character customization.
-
The only reason why i would kill myself is when my teammates play like absolute bots. Kindred, bond and better together give me enough information about what they are up to at all times.
I don't care what killer or build i have to face, i do it because of the other survivors.
-
I feel you lol, and it's even worse when they heal against one shot killers.

They are short but the real trick is how manage cram such little thought into them. It's as if you say the first inflammatory thing to reach you.
Brilliant. A wordsmith.

Interesting. Do you have a theory why?
(Not trying to sound challenging, I'm genuinely interested.)
Honestly, no, no clue. I can tell what i've seen, but i don't have any solid theory of why it is like that.
Also, within the EU DbD community, i noticed that Italians, followed by Spaniards, tend to play sweatier than the average, like huntress with Iri heads + noed + ebony mori and stuff
-
Never, the items i use are the ones i find in the match. I got a hoarding problem, i know.
Edit: except that time before the syringe nerf, i used them all

Please, explain in great detail how a killer is supposed to pressure a team that's playing safe and actually rushing gens. I'd love to hear it, since you're the first person ever to have figured it out.
My posts tend to be short so don't expect many details. Just be good at chases and play smart, if you do that survivors won't be able to finish 5 gens in 3 minutes.
-
I never DC but i wouldn't stare at a wall either. I just play the game to see how it turns out.

We don't need even more people dodging, make it so no one can see the other players

3 minutes Id understand, no killer should have 5 gens in 3 mins unless you're literally chasing 1 survivor or they devote full genrush builds.
4-5 minutes is more understandable, this means you've actually split people off of gens at some point. 5 mins for 5 gens is still insane.
Why would i take a video game seriously?
-
@Yamaoka said:

The "skill argument" is bs. Even Otz lost all 5 gens in 3.5 minutes a while ago and he basically lives in the Entity's realm at this point.
Oh no, he lost 1 game out of 1000 😨
-
IF they managed to do 5 gens in 3 minutes your skills need to be fixed, not the game.
-
Yeah, back when i used to play with friends i was astonished about the fact that some of them used to say "he's tunneling me" right after being found for the first time.
-
I'm glad i watched the video before raging.
