It’s not dying any time soon. You people really like to make that assumption don’t you?
-
My day has been great thanks for asking <3
-
Claire Redfield is the only one. Bought it the second the RE chapter came out.
-
I’ve already said to people plenty of times why Spirit is fine now and I really don’t want to have to keep repeating myself. Just practice her and don’t act like she’s supposed to give you easy wins.
-
Hi Sluzzy
-
“This Nurse is good.”
-
Gen speeds aren’t the problem. Not sure how people say that because 80 seconds is a good time spent. The problem is spawns and map design.
-
I would quit if they removed Spirit. No second thoughts.

I’m interested in seeing your proposal on that, since I think the reason he can be so annoying and not great at the same time is him being oppressive in 1v1 but not good in a 4v1
Buff: Laceration meter doesn’t passively go down and survivors have to complete skill check actions to remove the knives. This will cut gen time but it can be risky to keep the knives in to spend time on gens.
Nerf: It takes 8 knives again to damage. 6 is too little and makes his 1v1 way too oppressive.
Buff: You can use Main Event whenever you want after it activates.
I don’t think he’d be more fun to face but he’ll certainly be stronger while not being as bad to face before. I would like the risk factor of leaving knives in you as it creates map pressure.
-
Not a survivor main but I hate playing as and against him. I have a proposed change for him though that could make him stronger in the 4v1 and less oppressive in the 1v1.
-
I like it that all survivors have the same base stats. Giving them passives will create so many unbalances.
-
People underestimate Bubba’s skill requirement but he’s in no way harder than Billy.
-
Ok

Not from the killers POV. Thats super frustrating when you hear and see everything tell you that you got the hit, except for the survivor themself and theyre picture
The visual feedback it gives isn't game breaking so there's no reason to kill switch it.
-
There isn’t really a killer I’m just sick of seeing all the time but I still sigh when I see the occasions I get Hag,Twins, or Trickster.
-
@Ssajbambusa said:
@TheGannMan Put the same amount of time into Nurse you've put into Spirit, I'm pretty sure you would have better results against decent survivors.
Nah I’m good. If I did that, then I would cry myself to sleep every night dealing with the torture of that buggy and janky killer. I’ll stick with Spirit.
-
I’ve been burnt out lately tbh. Game isn’t really fun for me atm but glad to see you are.
-
@Ssajbambusa said:
I would say she's fine, but lack of stand still mind game makes her ten times harder to play. Just pick up Nurse IMO.
I’m great with Spirit but terrible with Nurse.
-
That isn’t an intended design of Dead Hard, it’s hit validation. You actually didn’t get the hit to begin with and the server is doing its job by rejecting it. Old Mettle of Man was just poorly designed. We can talk about the design of Dead Hard too but the hit validation shouldn’t be the reason the perk needs a change.

Do you know a way I could possibly get a vpn for xbox? I havent found many options.
I don’t think you can for console. I would recommend turning crossplay off then.

You shouldn't be required to have a VPN for a game that you had to pay for,has paid dlc,cosmetics, battle pass, they make plenty of money its there job to make sure security its good.
Yeah I know, I’m just saying that if they want to play the game, then this is what they do if they want to remain safe.
-
@Anniehere said:
People have become quiet about it and suggesting to use a VPN.
I don't think BHVR are going to talk about it or fix it any time soon.
They did acknowledge it but yeah it is hard to know if they'll actually do it in a timely manner. They're going to have to at some point though because this stuff is potentially life threatening against their playerbase.

I still get free stand still mindgame hits so i guess not a lot?
I was under the assumption that it was really obvious now if she phased. I haven't seen her since her nerf
You must've played against really bad survivors then. No one should get downed like that again against her.
-
Haven’t heard anything. I think it has died down as of late but I’d still be cautious. Invest in a VPN if you can.

I was a spirit main before and after the main … and I know … spirit is op and don’t require any skill
She just got nerfed my guy. How can you still say she’s OP?
-
@Sluzzy said:
It takes way more skills from the survivors to outplay a Spirit than it to does to play Spirit. All it takes is one mistake from only one of the survivors and the Spirit can win regardless of how many mistakes she makes. She is still much faster than the survivor while phased so the directional sound doesn't change much.
This is honestly the first time I’ve seen you complain about Spirit Sluzzy.
-
It shouldn’t even be in the game at all. Just like the flashing exposed when Myers gets tier 3 and Billy’s roars. Devs need to understand a fine line between cool visual/audio mechanics and QoL.
-
I like chasing killers the best.
-
@NAERUUU said:
Spirit skill ? LMAOOO plug stereo headset … this is the skill cap for spirit
She won’t require skill until she’s gutted. Play her for yourself against a good team and you’ll see.

recovery addons don't give her enough duration or speed. addons of repeleshing power are for bad spirits who suck at chases. she needs that old duration and speed for map control.
The only speed add on they got rid of was Dirty Uwabaki. Mother Daughter Ring is still in the game. I know it’s ultra rare but Zōri and Muddy Sports Day Cap still get the job done as speed add ons.

@sadakiyo said:

she wastes her power and becomes hag without traps if she has no addons for map control.
She still has recovery add ons and also two add ons that replenish her power when breaking or getting stunned by a pallet.
-
I honestly am in the minority and think boons aren’t that problematic. Only nerf is like to see is COH lose self healing and it would be fine.
-
@sadakiyo said:
she can be genrushed very ez because her addons for map control were nerfed.
She doesn’t even need them. What’s her base movement speed in phase again? 176%?

I'm typically in the minority with my opinion on Spirit lol. The average person just doesn't understand Spirit at all.
I do understand a lot about Spirit. I literally main her lol.
-
Bubba. BBQ bloodpoints are fun. Not sure about question 2 tbh. Don’t know or care about lore much.
-
Mikaela is just overrated in general. Not sure why so many people love her outside of her having boons.

@lav3 said:
I don't think she required some kind of skill both before nerf and current state.
If you consider good at listening as some kind of skill, it could be.
She's now dependent on how survivors react to her approach (directional sound).
Survivors will go down by Phase Walk if they did bad.
Survivors who are far from pallet or window will still go down.
Survivors not trying to think where she is will suffer same as they did before her nerf.
Spirit is far from skill in my opinion.
I'd say, skill is on survivors who react to invisible killer approaching with spooky sounds.
Even if some Spirit players are skillful, downing weak links easily doesn't make them feel they are skillful.
I played a lot after nerf and this is what I felt.
Even if she requires skill now or not, I don't think it's important.
Spirit is one of the trickiest killers to verse and that's why some players play Spirit.
Rather than picking niche addon/perks to prove skill, people will run good addon/perks anyway.
While I do disagree, I understand your point. My thing is that Spirit has the plain control of the mind games and can abuse the directions that the survivor has to go to evade her, which leads to predictions and being able to use sound to your advantage to get the hit.
Controlling the mind game and trying to listen at the same time isn’t anywhere near Blight or Nurse levels of skill but it’s still skillful. The reason people say she’s dead is because they can’t do those things and don’t bother trying to learn it.

"Then why did people like Zubat and Ussylis hate going against her even though they’re very skilled survivors?"
Hating playing against a killer does not equate to meaning she takes no skill or has no counter play. She required a completely different kind of counter play and doesn't allow survivors to play the way they normally do, aka they way they deem "fun". Pallet looping in other words.
"I agree saying Spirit took no skill before was a huge reach but you need to look at the survivor POV a bit as well."
I do. You imply by my opinion that I don't look at it from the survivors POV. That's like implying I'm a killer main just because I say a certain killer needs a buff. That's flawed reasoning. I play probably even more survivor than I do killer and had no issues with Spirit before. That was playing at rank 1 on every reset for literally years and with thousands of hours.
I wasn’t trying to imply that you don’t play survivor. I’m just saying that you gotta look at the reasons why Spirit was complained about. Lack of feedback isn’t really fun to go against and she wasn’t balanced like she is now. It wasn’t about her strength at all and the things that make her strong are still there.

my big thing about spirit's nerf was the stealth/jumpscare aspect.
I recommend running devour, Yakuyoke Amulet, and Furin.
in my last game using the build, I mori'd someone who's gamertag was scaryspirit* after hitting them once. no hook states. big oof for them, but I bet it was scary.
*changed to protect the innocent.
I used Furin one time with Ruin Surveillance. It’s a good tracking tool if Ruin can stay up.
-
@Adjatha said:
It takes way more skill to play Spirit than 90% of survivors realize. It's a totally different skill set to judge distances based on sound (and inconsistent scratch marks). But survivors complained that she's "no skill, ez hit, no counterplay" so much (without ever actually trying to use her), that now she's even harder than before.
I wouldn't bother buying her unless you plan on putting in Nurse-levels of "Get Good" time. She's hard to play and only getting harder as time goes on.
Her being strong and fun gives a good reason to try her out. Also she isn’t super buggy like Nurse is.

It was extremely meaningful before. Most survivors just weren't skillful enough to understand how to utilize it.
It's easier to make excuses like "SpIrIT TaKeS nO SkIlL" than to actually have the player admit they weren't very good.
Then why did people like Zubat and Ussylis hate going against her even though they’re very skilled survivors?
I agree saying Spirit took no skill before was a huge reach but you need to look at the survivor POV a bit as well.
-
@Blueberry said:
Nothing changed about her skill requirement. All that got changed in terms of skill was lowering the amount of skill survivors needed tremendously.
Survivors’ skills wasn’t meaningful before though. It’s not that the survivors’ skill changed, it’s the fact they can actually use their skill to evade her now.

He likely weighs the desolate back portion of the map behind the Gallows very heavily. It isn't difficult to hold a 3-gen back there and the map isn't huge.
That's about all I see.
Yeah those are redeeming factors for killers but all those safe structures just can’t make it the most killer sided map imo.
-
I’m so glad someone agrees with me that Dead Dawg isn’t killer sided. All the breakable walls and safe structure in that big line of buildings makes it hard for killers to catch good survivors. Not sure how Otz thought this map was the most killer sided.

It happens.
From my understanding, maps have a 'pallet quota'. Sometimes this results in some very weird spawns. I more often see it in the 'Autohaven' maps.
@GentlemanFridge said:
Pallet logic. The generation didn't spawn enough pallets, so it throws in more in places where you'd normally not see another.
@GeneralV said:
Believe it or not, this isn't as bad as it seems.
@GoodBoyKaru said:
This means you spawned with the fewest possible pallets on the map. It's a good thing to see.
@Aven_Fallen said:
The game placed all the Tiles on the Map, but the minimum number of Pallets was not reached. So Double Pallets will spawn.
This means you have the minimum numbers of Pallets and more T/L-Walls instead of Jungle Gyms or Longwalls. Groaning Storehouse is the Map where this can happen quite often.
Interesting

You don’t have to guess if you see them, mind games can be made whether they are audible or not.
In a lot of situations, yes they do.

Doesn’t stop blood trails, scratch marks, screams, auras, and plain ol’ seeing the survivor.
Lmao do you not understand why people hate Iron Will? It being a stealth perk isn’t the problem, it’s using it during a chase. Being able to hear the survivor is so crucial in mindgaming and Iron Will completely removes that mechanic forcing killers to just guess where they’re at.
